Hello everyone,
I used to meditate for out of body experiences when I was younger (I was probably around 13 or 14, and am now 16) and would become very relaxed, and finally try and push my self out of my body, and would usually get 'vibrations', or what I thought were them...
But now, since I was 15, these vibrations would come without trying, such as just being relaxed. Usually I can stop them before they get too strong by just shaking my head or moving, but sometimes they stay and get intense if I dont stop them, and they'll continue to stay even if I stand up and walk around or shake my head or what not.
These vibrations to me feel like... well.. if I were to have a pole stuck through my body lengthwise (from head to toe), it feels like rotating clockwise-to-counterclockwise really fast, changing directions every half rotation. Sometimes the vibrations go in different directions too, like side to side or up and down.
My mother said she read something in a book about a man (it was a well known book, but I forget the name) who could go into alternate awarnesses (OOBE's I assume) since he was a child without effort.
I've never gotten an OOBE because Im scared of them, and never let myself relax when the vibrations come. I can start them just by relaxing, or pushing my mind out of my body slightly...
basically... do you think the vibrations are the onset of OOBE's... and if so, should I try and see what happens if I let it go?
Its kind of hard to meditate now without them happening... and if they do happen, its quite distracting... any ideas on how to control them better?
Thanks!!
