Sounds fun! Can't wait to get my second OBE! [|)]

Congratulations on the projection. [:)]
Many people who project complain of having limited mobility when too near the physical body. The physical body does exert a strong pull on the astral/ethereal body. This pull can be countereacted by moving away from the physical body.
Most people who project more than two or three times overcome this limitation. So this is a problem you will overcome with more projections. Good luck.

Hello Paukki,

That's a good point your bringing up, I think. With me it differs how much time I have available. Now around Easter I practice several times per day, as I'm having a short vacation, relaxing and doing concentration exercises. At night I always practice, when I have the luck I wake up naturally. if I wake myself using the clock, most of the times I'm too drowsy to practice.

Everyone has to see for oneself how much practice he or she does. I think the most important is not to overpractice, and stress yourself too much, with the consequence that you become fed up with the whole thing. If you arrive to that point it is surely beneficial to decrease your frequency of practicing, or to quit for a while like you say.

I do think it's important to have a routine, in such a way that you're always looking forward to the next training session, when the last one has finished..

Best regards,
Ebele

Very good Paukki! I would like to be the first one on the AstralPulse forums to congradulate you. From your description it sounded like you had more control than most first time projectors experience. Most people, when Out of Body for the first time, just sort of float about inside their room in a somewhat confused state of mind. (I know that is what I did on my first OBE.)
Also the method that you used to induce the OBE seems to offer a lot of potential. If you continue to use those tapes and have future success in projecting then please posts your experiences in these forums. With practice you could become a very skilled projector. [8D]

Welcome to Dreams! / Can't...quite..get it!

So you have a repeating dream?  They are more important than most other dreams because it represents something urgent enough to get your attention.
My guess for symbolism would be climbing the "corporate ladder."  Is your job stressful or wearing you out?  Striving for some unattainable goal?  Maybe even the golden ladder to heaven.
As to lucidity, when you touched the floor were you lucid, or after?
When you do reality checks with the clock, throw in something about ladders, if that dream really is that common.  When you do become lucid on the ladder next time, look straight ahead and picture a place above you at the end.  An open door to some room.  When you include falling or rising feelings in a dream, it'l shift your awareness more than you meant and the whole dream will change.  Just climb the ladder a few more steps and go straight into the next 'room' without a transition and it should remain stable enough to be enjoyable.

You know it would've really sucked if it had turned out that you weren't dreaming about work.
I've mixed dream and waking a couple of times and it's the source for the most amazing embarrasment and havoc imaginable.

Sounds like an awesome experience.  Thanks for sharing it.  You were very close to a projection that time!

Hi there Paukki !

I'm in a pretty much identical situation to you. I could have written your e-mail, except for the bit about being married !

It is easy to read and be interested in OBE, but putting it into practise involves dedication ! I'm confident that at some point in the not-so-far away future, I'll have an OBE as a result of all my hard work....it is easy to get distracted, I know, at the moment I am trying to make practice a part of my "daily ritual" if you like...just another part of the day / night...like cleaning my teeth.

The biggest help has been visiting this bulletin board beacuse :
1) It keeps you interested and motivated,
2) you can get interactive advice from a bunch of people who have OBE experience....

KEEP TRYING ! I WILL TOO !!

Hi Paukki.

From what you describe, it sounds like this may have originated from your smoking pot days.....Marajuana and drugs can leave you vulnerable to obsession and other nasties.  Mediumship can also be very dangerous in regard to these issues....but you said you did not participate in that.
The only thing i can recommend at this point, other than a *true* prayer warrior (very rare these days), is the invisible helpers.
If anyone can help you, i believe they can.
