Is there a difference between OBE and having a nightmare?
Whenever I get nightmares, I would see myself laying in bed. I see my body and I noticed that I can't move. My heart would start beating fast when that happens and I force myself to wake up by moving my toes first or relaxing my body by counting 1-2-3 then I would force myself to get up soon as I hit 3. Now, I can reach this nightmare state or seeing myself state by eating McChicken. I have done this with lights off and lights on. When I turn off the lights and try to have nightmares, I usually get scared because I feel like someone is watching me or trying to scare me. One day, I turned on the lights and do the samething. Next thing I know, I see myself or atleast my body. I remember somebody posted before that he would think that he's a log and would spin out of his body. Anyways, lights were on, I see my body and I couldn't move. I thought to myself "ok, relax and don't get nervous. I will count to 3 and when 3 hits, I would spin and when my front body hits the bed. I would push myself up". I did exactly what I told myself to do and next thing I know. I'm floating in my bedroom like a blimp. I was not sure how to control myself so I let myself float. This was happening for good 10-20 seconds and when I reached the corner of my bedroom. I heard a voice on top of corner ceiling and it startled me. I remember myself dropping slowly and I ran towards my body and dive right in my body. Woke up right away and see my girl by my foot watching T.V. I didn't see her when I was floating like a blimp or maybe imagining that I was floating around my room.
Now, i'm not an expert nor know anything about OBE but is it possible to go to this state by going through nightmares state and relaxing your body instead of getting scared?
I call it nightmare when I see my bedroom and see myself lying there and couldn't move anything except my toes.
