greetings all:

ive been away for some time, trying to live more in teh real world these days 

this may seem like an obvious question, but im wondering- why do people try to project?

are you hoping to achieve/ learn somthing?

is it a form of escape from the real world?

is it for kicks?

why do we do anything i suppose!

i projected this morning, and hovered over my body for a while, and could realy clearly make out the energy surrounding it.  im a reiki student, and am wondering if anyone has tried using a hands on healing method on their own bodies whilst observing them?  (and if it has worked!)

hey all,

every time i project i am absolutely exhausted.  its getting to the point where im wondering if i need to curb my wandering cos it can infringe on my day to day life.

has anyone discovered a method of projecting that doesnt completely deplete their energy?  or is this something you learn with time and experience?

greetings all.

i had an interesting OBE today.  i was lying on my stomache, in a very very deep meditative state, when i felt that shift within, that can indicate youre becoming detached from your body.  i didnt try to project, but suddenly i felt this wind, tugging me upwards from my body.  i tried to get out fully, but was struggling a bit, cos i was on my stomache.

suddenly, something swooped down, and pulled me out of my body, and began flying upwards with me.  it appeared to be a being made of light.  i asked him what his name was, but he looked at me in surprise.  i tried telepathically, but he still didnt answer.

the actual experience was very long and involved, so i wont go into it, but he left me in this place where there were loads of people around my age (25).  he told me that this was a stop off poinmt, and that he'd be back to take me elsewhere.

there was an older man there, and i asked him about the being of light.  he told me his name was Driver.  i cant remember what else he told me about him.

i was very physical in this building- i couldnt fly or anything, and i couldnt get out.  but when i looked out the windows, i could see beautiful golden sunlight, so i knew i was somewhere on a higher plane.

has this ever happened to anyone else??

has anyone experienced energy healing through their OBEs?

ive just finished this amazing book, and thought that since its such an important dream work that it might be an idea to get a permanent discussion going on it. im really interested to hear if people have experienced things similar to castaneda in their dreaming practices.

hey all!

first, id just like to say how happy i am to be here.  ive been searching for information about the "dream world" nearly 3 months ago, and it has took me this long to find this- or any- group.  i joined a few days ago, and have felt like a kid in a candy shop.  astral projection and the dream world are just about the most fascinating things ive come across.  having read a good few of the posts now, im so grateful to have found a group where people really seem to know what their talking about... because this is something id really like to explore and learn about- properly.

i began OBEing spontaneously about a year and a half ago when i was living in a haunted apartment.   didnt realise until recently that id been having OBE experiences- i didnt know what they were, i think i was proably naturally phasing.  i usually didnt get very far from my body, and spent the time freaked out, trying to wake myself up! i didnt realise until recently that id been having OBE experiences- i didnt know what they were.  i usually didnt get very far from my body, and spent the time freaked out, trying to wake myself up!

but over the last year it kept happening, and i started travelling to other places.  i got very interested in dream interpretation- and started keeping a dream journal and interpreting them.  but something told me there was more to this than just dreaming. and yet, i could only get tasters of info, no matter how much i tried to research.  most of what i know has been just pieced together.  this forum is already closing some gaps- and giving me an indication of just HOW big, the big picture is!

anyway, here i am now- the last 3 months ive been having some good results, and i cant wait to share them! this is just so exciting

hey everyone,

first, id just like to say how honoured i am to be here.  i began searching for information about the "dream world" nearly 3 months ago, and it has took me this long to find you here.  i joined a few days ago, and have been in my element researching everything.  i wanted to have a grasp of the basic info before i started posting.

but this morning i had an OBE which id really like some insights into.

first, a bit of background on me if youre interested:
i began OBEing spontaneously about a year and a half ago when i was living in a haunted apartment.  the ghost of an elderly man was a permanent fixture at the foot of my bed, and, to cut a long story short, i think this presense was largely responsible for opening up by psychic abilities.  i began to see things, and shortly afterwards, my third eye opened rather dramatically, and i began to see the world in 4 dimensions.

i didnt realise until recently that id been having OBE experiences- i didnt know what they were.  i usually didnt get very far from my body, and spent the time freaked out, trying to wake myself up!

but over the last 3 months ive been having some good results, and have had very interesting experiences- no 2 have been the same, and some of them have really baffled me (but this forum is helping ALOT!), and would like to share in the future.

the OBE i had this morning was my most lucid one to date- and the first time i felt in complete control of the experience.  i was wide awake, and induced the state with ease, exiting my body using the rope method. (thank you for this tip!  someone actually threw the rope to me )

ive interpreted it as best i could, and the interpretation follows the account.  but theres alot fo things im not sure of, and have questions on, so i'd love if someone could help shed some light on it for me.

i kept my astral eyes closed, and allowed myself to drift upwards.  when i opened my eyes, i was in a sky world.  the ground looked like the flat roofs of grey concrete buildings, and they had their own buildings on them.  there was a fun fair feel to it- could sense a rollarcoaster, around the 'edges' of the scene.

i was so happy to be there, so lucid, and i was running around- flying from one piece of ground to the next, trying to explore things.

i remembered that some of the other poeple around could also be astral travellers, so i kept my eyes open for them.  i spotted one guy, and we had a brief, happy chat.

then i went into one building.  as soon as i entered, i felt it had a library feel to it, but i couldnt see any books, and it was fairly drab apart from this so i left.  as soon as i left, i realised it could be the hall of records, so i went back in.

there was a female character at the desk.  she had quite a wide face- almost like a toad, but she actually reminded me of a character from the Disney and Pixar film "Monsters Inc"! (if anyone's seen it- she looked like the character that keeps giving the 2 heroes grief for not doing their paperwork)

i decided to have a chat with her.  i asked her her name, and she Stared at me.  i cant remember how she respnded to me, (other than being pretty unfriendly), but through a combination of what she said, and psychic information, i gathered that people here didnt have names.  names are inconsequential.  but i had only wanted to know it so i could connect with her.

i kept trying to have a nice chat with her, but wasnt getting anywhere, so decided to stop wasting my time, as i had a whole world to explore!

i said something to her, and she retorted, kind of snidely: "what does a young girl like you know about life?"

"i know what its like to have my heart broken," i responded. as the words came out of my mouth, i felt like i had rehearsed them. "but thats the whole point of life," i continued as i walked away from her, "you have to take the good with the bad.. the cream with the curd."

i walked out the door, and heard her call after me that there were many valuable books in there.

while i had been talking to her, a group of 4 people- 3 women- one quite tall, and a man, and come in, walked to the back of the room, stayed a few minutes, then left.

i left, and was ooverjoyed to be outside again, exploring.  i leaped off the concrete ground, and flew to the next surface.  there was a lonely looking child following his parents.  i smiled warmly at him.  i was aware that i should be careful tlking to people here, as not all of them might know where they are.  and some of them may not even be alive.  i asked him if he was travelling or if he was on holidays.  "on holidays," he said.  "have fun!" i said to him, and flew off.

i went into another building, which was similar to the library.  i was greeted by a small, petite, librarian-looking lady!  she was really nice, and instantly asked me my name.  i told her, and she introduced herself- but her name was almost a parody- a refersal of mine.  she said that whatever i was, she was the inverse of.

she brought me to an alcove at the back of the room, and showed me a metal rack, which had several A4 notepads strewn on it. (they looked like ledgers, and were green, red and purple).  she told me i could read them.  excited, i said "is one of them about me?!"  "theyre all about you!" she replied, smiling.

i got the sense that these were about my past.  i was so excited my hands were shaking as i tried to undo a seal on a purple one.  i couldnt get it open.

just then, another astral traveller came in- a girl with red hair, and told me that these were actually HER records.  she started gathering them up and put them in her bag.  i looked at her properly, and thought we'd met before, but she said she didnt recognise me.  i tried to chat to her, but she was disinterested, and went up straight to the librarians desk, before leaving.  there were still some ledgers there.

i went up to the librarian desk to ask if my records were around.  then, the same group of 4 came in.  "thieves," the libraian said.  i assumed she meant them.  they had walked to the alcove, and i followed them.

they were crammed in tightly.  the tall woman was rummaging through the ledgers, and the others were standing there, smirking, obstructing my way as i tried to interfere!

suddenly, the tall woman grabbed one ledger, opened a door beside the shelf, and flung it outside into the sky.  they made for the exit.

i was absolutely horrifed that they would just throw out the record of somebody's life- maybe there was no back up for it!

i followed them saying "how could you do that- that is the lowest of the low!"

then, i began to consider that these must be really lost people to do something like that, and that, instead of abusing them, i needed to show them love to help them heal.

i hurried after them.  the man was bringing up the rear.  i went to hug him.  suddenly, he started smiling menacingly at me.  i saw his fangs.  he was a vampire, and i was in his embrace.  immediately, i started calling for michael the archangel, repeatedly.  i knew i needed his help.  then a tiny angel appeared (it was like one of those angels you see in cartoons when a character is in a moral dilemmia, and an angel appears on one shoulder, and a devil appears on the other!)  he got in between myself and the vampire.  "return to your body", i heard a male voice say in my head.  i immediately obeyed, but i was was leaving, i felt something cutting my wrist, and what felt like blood coming out.  i knew he had bitten me.  it felt so real, i was sure i would have a real life cut.  i woke up.  my wrist was unmarked.

sorry this post is getting so long- but from the research ive done here, and past OBEs, ive derived some interpretations/ questions

-  there are several different kinds of of 'records' places.  ive been to another library in a different dimension, but they wouldnt let me in.  this place felt like it stored my this-life past.  but i didnt get to read anything.  possibly im not ready.

- feel that the different coloured legders symbolise different elements of my life.  there was only one purple one, and this was the one i selected.  maybe this indicated the spiritual dimension?

-  i just read another post where someone referred to "information thieves", but couldnt find anything further on it.  it occured to me that the nice librarian said "thieves".  is this a problem on the astral plane?  was the red haired girl the thief, or was she simply protecting her past?

-  has anyone come accross this band of 4 before?

-  am i powerful enough to deal with whatever negative things i encounter?  or do i need some training?  the angel took a while to come so id prefer to deal with things myself.  i went through a phase last year where i was asking for help every night, and eventually i was gently told i had to start dealing with it myself.  that i have to overcome my fears.

-  ive met angels in different forms before.  they have been made of light... once they were even made of wood!  this one had a human consistency, but was tiny.  do they appear in different forms depending on what level/ dimension you are in?

- i got the impression that this level was the first of the sky levels.

- how careful should i be when conversing with other humans?  (ie. in case one of them is dead and i am insenstive about it)
