Dunno if this vid has been already mentioned here, but I shall post it anyway, there's a deep message in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cL9Wu2kWwSY&fmt=18

"By 2013, a supercomputer will be built that exceeds the computational capabilities of the human brain." (my note: IF 2013 is to come)

So what does it all mean? Maybe everything indeed converges to infinity at the year of 2012? :?

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Beyond the abyss?
March 16, 2009, 13:28:17
Has anyone tried this binaural track? http://www.ourultimatereality.com/beyond-the-abyss.html
I'm probably not gonna buy it, as a student I dont have money for such things, but I was wondering if anyone had good results with it and how it compares to "standard" brainwave tracks...

Edit: I'm not able to load the page properly anymore, "You are not authorised to view this resource. You need to login" message appears... wonder if its available elsewhere?

I may have mentioned this before, but just recently it caught my attention again.

It happens almost every night before falling asleep when I can't hear any sounds (except my tinnitus :-P). What happens is that I start hearing snippets of conversation, words, or even whole sentences. They are continuous, like a lot of people talking at the same time, but I find it easy to pick one voice or even "capture" more voices at a time. The problem is that they come "from the back of my head" so concentrating takes them away, this makes somewhat difficult realising what I've just heard (sometimes I "hear" something and only realise its meaning a few seconds later).

The sentences often make very good sense, but do not seem to be related in any way to what I've experienced through the day, week, year or my life. I have no idea where they come from.

Could I be hearing other people's random conversations in their dreams?

I am going to do an experiment and write some of the sentences down. This is not easy as gaining enough awareness to actually write something causes the voices to completely fade, then I must wait again...

Well, I have a mental problem with seemingly no solution, and I feel "caught" in it... I can't talk about what it is.

It would be really great if someone could send me a bit of energy to make it easier to get me out of that problem. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thank You.

P.S. I often see healers ask about people's location. So, I live in Czech Republic which is in central Europe.

Well, for some reason I feel this is a part of my life mission, to spread this message :-o

I posted about this here once but for some reason I can't find the post, I think it got deleted.

Here are the archived pages (they are no longer online): http://web.archive.org/web/20070214094409/http://www.btinternet.com/~mtgradwell/
Please ignore small innacurates in the documents (if someone ever notices them), they do not disturb the whole of the message

The main ideas of the concept are:
1) The universe is quite small, it's not homogenous, there is only one (gravity) centre, and there's less and less matter as we get closer to the edge.
2) The universe is actually quite small. What we see as distant objects or even the "cosmic microwave background radiation", are multiple images of closer objects! How can this be? Well, because we assume that the light has travelled a straight line, but it has not. The light can orbit around the gravity centre, even multiple times, to create an "illusion" of distant objects. This page illustrates and explains the elliptical light paths: http://web.archive.org/web/20061110033735/www.btinternet.com/~mtgradwell/whatwesee1.html
3) The universe is collapsing. Why does it paradoxically seem to us that distant objects are moving away from us (they are red-shifted), is nicely explained here http://web.archive.org/web/20061110033742/www.btinternet.com/~mtgradwell/universe2.html . (note: red-shift=the light path from an object to us is getting longer, blue-shift=the opposite). Again it is caused by the light path from point A to B orbitting further and thus getting longer as these objects move to the centre. However this does not apply to very close objects and is also explained why (maybe scientists will someday find that close objects are getting closer to us while distant galaxies are moving further from us, and will consider it a paradox of all paradoxes :-D )
This also explains the modern findind that "the rate of expansion of the universe is increasing", it's not because of mysterious dark matter, it's simply because as we are getting close to the gravitational centre of the universe, everything speeds up.

There was also the notion that the universe can be a form of a black hole, this is the reason why nothing can escape.

I hope someone educated on astro-physics can read the pages properly, but even to me it makes perfect sense! I feel like this is a key to all the "unknowns" in the universe that everyone is searching for........

Please excuse me if I've interpreted something wrong from the pages, but this is how I got the image.

My own insights: I believe that our universe is eternally old. Old objects are always falling into the centre and new ones are always being materialised on the edge from light (or so I read it).
We think that the universe is x billion years old, but this is just the time when the close universe around us was born.
So everything in this universe has a beginning and an end, but the universe itself is everlasting. Isn't that cool?  8-)

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / First obe?
August 31, 2008, 04:10:58
This might be kind of boring but anyway I felt i could share it :-)

Last night I had a weird dream of a highway along which grew a strange plant, the Astral Projection plant. :-D I didn't take it in the dream, but anyway it ended and I was laying on my bed, still with a bit of dream imagery.
I became conscious enough so I thought i would try an exit technique. I imagined myself hovering above my body and started to feel intense vibrations (I believe it was my physical body shaking) and saw my room, through my astral eyes. The wierd thing is that everything was in shades of grey (not even slightest hint of color) and with sharp image. My field of vision was quite narrow.
It ended quickly, in a few seconds. I thought i would try again, this time the vibrations were even crazier but no OBE that I know of happened.
Again this dreamy state faded away quickly and I could not keep it more than a minute, this happens every time to me when I become conscious.

Was this an obe or just a dream of it?

The weird thing is that I could feel the vibrations and my physical body even during the "obe", this makes me believe that during these experiences, part of your awareness always stays in your body...

One note, that night I went to sleep earlier (after midnight) so this could have helped.

Is it possible to heal (by mind, not by medical treatment) diseases that lead to unrecoverable physical damage to the body/ parts of it, such as Alzheimer's disease?

Edit: that was probably a bad example as a person with Alzheimer would probably have hard time doing mental healing... but I hope you know what I mean :-)

This just happens every time and it is kind of frustrating. :-( When I'm in a sleep paralysis or in a state between sleep and awake, I usually sunbonsciously struggle to force myself awake and I succeed just rarely, most times I drift back to sleep.
However, when I consciously realise that I'm close to projection, it's like an alarm clock, I wake instantly and its gone.

Just like it happened last night, I heard frequent "zaps" in my head (you know what I mean) and as soon as i realised I'm in the right mindset, it was gone!

So really the only possibility that remains is projecting from a dream- by affirmations, as I never become fully conscious in a dream, and if I do, that surely wakes me up!

What can I do? seemse like every time I realise "now I can project!" it wakes me up like a bucket of water in my face... :? :?

Welcome to Dreams! / The edge of the world
July 03, 2008, 06:19:23
I had a dream last night. It seemed like Ive come to the edge of the world. There was a shore with big white stones and white sand, and what seemed like an endless ocean in front of me. The sky was cloudless and it had pink, orange and purple colors like the most amazing sunset you have ever seen, the colors were unbelievable. "So this is the place of my dreams", I thought. I wanted to stay there forever! Just sit and watch the waves listening to the sound of ocean. I also felt a presence of a second entity which was there with me but didn't see it, I think it was my spirit guide. I knew he has always been with me.
...
So whats the point? I dont know, i just felt a need to share this :-D

Welcome to Dreams! / Lucid dream problems?
June 28, 2008, 17:20:51
Yesterday I had a dream... In the dream I found some useful things and immediately noticed, "I cannot keep these because I know they'll disappear", followed by "I know I am dreaming". (Still in the dream) my mother wanted something from me, I told her that it's not possible because this dream we are in is going to end soon. I tried "clarity now" command but it did not help.
The dream ended slowly with that I knew i was the physical body laying in the bed, and it was nothing more than a thought or imagination when it ended.

Here comes the weird part, I KNEW I was dreaming but I was not able to control it or anything. The dream had me in control. How am I supposed to "free" myself in a lucid dream?

I can at will engage some type of energy which starts flowing through my whole body, I feel it the most at the place of stomach (like "gut feeling" or that type of feeling you sometimes get before a stressful situation). After a few seconds of engaging this energy I become exhausted and must stop it. In normal waking state this doesn't do anything just the feeling of the energy.

Anyway, last night I was in that hypnagogic state just after waking up, so I tried to engage the energy. I started to feel some kind of a pull, like I was being pulled from my body, and there was a strong "whoosh" feeling which I saw and heard at the same time (hard to describe). This actually happened a few times before. But the problem is that I get stuck near my stomach every time and I feel an aching sensation there which distracts me (its the only physical sensation I have in that moment).

Anyone has a clue what is going on and how to get "unstuck"?

#12
This happens to me often, i just lay there and try to concentrate. Most of the times for an hour nothing happens, so i just go to sleep. At this time I am very exhausted, i think this is from "building up" the energy...  this energy then keeps me awake and prevents me from falling asleep... almost like some kind of insomnia.

So some questions: why does nothing happen for the hour? (I used to drift between sleep and awake but now i am simply awake all the time), what am I doing wrong?
-What to do to prevent the "exhaustion" and how to drain the excessive energy?

Thanks for any ideas.
#13
What is the best daily awareness which can bring you a greater probability of having an astral experience? To be aware of your surroundings and be focused on the present moment OR to be like dreamy and let your mind wander?

#14
Ok so you say, when you free yourself of the time (such as after death), all the time blends into "now" and you can experience all of the time now.
Well, this also implies that you can see everything that has ever happened and everything that will ever happen. Especially you can see all your past and mainly future lives/reincarnations. So as you now know all your future lives, what's the point in choosing to live them again?

I asked about this in a dream and got this response: "Time-line is ever changing". Does this mean that when I "see" all of my lives from the eternity point of view, they can turn different as I actually choose to live them :? and isn't this another paradox?  :? :? :?

oh yeah, there are probably questions that will not be answered until the time comes...

#15
Which are the wanted "vibrations" for obe? The ones where you can feel your body shaking (violently) but it is physically still, or the ones where you feel energy rushing through your body (which remotely feels like electrocution) sometimes together with paralysis?

I get the first type sometimes when trying to obe on purpose (and they freak me out every time and its over). The other type I get sometimes on awakening, but the problem is that I'm still quite "dreamy" and I don't realise that I may use them for obe.
#16
Ok so this has been one thing not allowing me to get closer to AP. Every time I try to relax my body and keep my mind awake, I feel like it is taking extreme amounts of energy, I am literally drained after some 30 minutes of doing this.
I tried to AP after waking in the night as this is thought to be more effective, but I couldn't keep more than 10 minutes, I was totally exhausted after that.

So what am I doing wrong?

Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / Meditation?
February 28, 2008, 13:21:21
Ok, everyone talks about meditation, but I've not been able to find anything on how to actually do it. Am I right that it's just "focusing inward" and noticing, or is there more to it?

Welcome to Astral Chat! / nitrous oxide?
February 15, 2008, 10:24:47
well.. so I have had that feeling since long that I'm somewhat "trapped in physical reality", I've never experienced any "altered state of consciousness" and I feel I need a little "kick" so I can have even a little experience out of this "reality"
So would N2O from e.g. a spray cream container be any dangerous if I don't take much of it? or should I avoid anything like this?

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Hearing voices
February 09, 2008, 11:32:39
When I go to bed and try to not fall asleep, I start to hear a faint rushing/roaring/buzzing sound. This then slowly breaks down into many voices, like a lot of people talking at the same time. When I succeed to get deeper in the state, I can actually make out the individual words or even sentences. They are usually nonsence though.
Is this state any good for entering AP? Anything I should do/concentrate on? Or can this be used for anything cool?

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / seeking advice
February 08, 2008, 12:59:43
well, I have had the same problem come back quite a few times in the last few years. I try to fight it every time, I say to myself that it won't return the next time but so far it always did. (sorry I don't want to talk about as to what is the problem)
should I: 1) fight it and risk that it returns the next time again
or 2) learn to live with it? It would requie a bit of effort but I can do it.

The answer 2) seems better in terms of spiritual evolution to me, as it agrees with the ever-true rule "let it flow".

What do you think?

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / phasing?
February 04, 2008, 10:22:01
I can get to the state where I see varous scenes flashing in my mind, I then try to enter one. I think this is called phasing. But the problem is that I can't "stay" in the scene, it just passes and another comes, totally out of my control. Eventually I fall asleep.
what am I doing wrong?  :?

In my dreams I often visit a town which I believe is my home town from a previous (next??) life. I can picture it in my mind, I know where are all the roads/lanes, the railway etc. I often go to explore the surroundings. I somehow feel attached to this town, more than to the one I'm living in now.
But the problem is that the dreams went away some time ago... I want to go there again!  what would you recommend to bring the dreams back? I tried "wishing" to go there before I go to sleep but this does not work.

Just to share another dream for which I don't feel like starting a new thread. It was the most mind-blowing dream I ever had.. It was night and in the middle of nowhere I was sitting by a fire which had a freezing white-blue color. There was another entity (a mix between witch and angel) by the fire, I was a little frightened. It then told me what I perceived like the most important sentence/words I ever heard, it was the truth, and it was amazingly simple! I then started floating upwards. I believe that night I knew one of the words but it got erased from my mind in the morning :-(   It still gives me chills as I think about it now.

#24
The time it happened I was pretty sure I'm experiencing a real AP. I got a few times out of my body (I remember an eerie light/reflection on my wall as I was leavig my body), I didn't see anything, but I somehow knew where I was relative to my body. It was a very strange feeling. The last time I floated out of my body, I remember I "flipped" myself so I was facing my body (I think I've done this to make sure I was out). Then I started to see something, I was in my room. I remember I tried to go through wall but it was not possible. Something was pushing me to find any object in our house that could be later used for verification, but everything was just so dark and blurry. Then I just remember a(nother) dream coming.

However as I look on it backwards, it just seems and feels like any other dream, vague and blurry. I think I was just dreaming of AP.

So is it possible it was "real" AP or was it just a dream?

Welcome to Quantum Physics! / Matter
December 16, 2007, 12:45:26
Well... this is one of the biggest mysteries I've ever came across. I believe most of you here would agree with me on that a matter is just an illusion and with a thought powerful enough, matter can be influenced.
But what defines "powerful enough", what do we have to overcome? What creates the illusion of matter? What sustains it? Is it the "averaged" collective belief of everyone? Or is there any non-physical entity that sustains it? Any other explantation? :-o

Welcome to Metaphysics! / walking on water, etc.
October 21, 2007, 03:42:26
I had a dream last night, where I walked on water. But the way I did it, really amazes me now. In the dream, I told myself that it's possible, I was absolutely sure about it without any doubts, I just did it.
I tried convince me in real life in the same way as in the dream, but it's simply not possible. I think there's some kind of mental block that is holding us back from believing in those things, to be absolutely sure that they happen, like day and night.
If there was any way to remove this block, I believe everything would be possible, even in the physical world.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / That strange feeling
October 04, 2007, 11:29:45
Sometimes when listening to some "dreamy" music or viewing "dreamy" (for a lack of better word) pictures (sunsets, etc.) or in specific mood, I get that strange feeling of longing for something, like I want to reach out and "merge" with "something" (that's the best description that comes to my mind). For a long time I had no idea what it was, but now I believe it's memories of the "other side"/astral word/after life (whatever you call it) coming up. I've never had conscious astral experience and don't consciously remember anything from the astral, but I'm quite sure these memories are somewhere deep in the unconscious and I can't access them from normal life. The only thing I'm quite sure about is that this earth is not my home, my real home is somewhere "out there"
Does anyone get feelings like this too?
#28
hi all, a few nights ago I was trying to AP, when nothing happened after a hour or so I thought it's enough for the day. I was unable to fall asleep for more than a hour because I was literally charged up with energy.
What happened in the morning was something between dream and reality, I couldn't make out what was "real" and what not so much, but anyway, I awoke lying on my belly, I felt some kind of energy rushing through my body, and found out I can control it by will. I made it stronger, even more stronger (to the point I thought I was going to burst) when I seemingly left my body but didn't see anything. Next try, again the energy, now I could see and I was in my room, but many things were different. I explored my house, but my awareness wasquite low at that time and falling even more, until it drifted into a scary dream (which I rather won't tell here).
I don't know if I was just dreaming up the projections, but the feeling of the energy flowing through my body was really EXTREME, something I've never felt before. I don't know if these feelings are normally associated with "exiting", I've yet to have a real projection...

hi, . I live in small village and there it is really dark at night, and the thing is that I'm a little scared/worried that when I get out of my body, I'll not really see much in the darkness. So the question, how does astral sight work in darkness? Is it like normal sight (you can't see anything in complete darkness), or is it quite different that while outof body you can see even in complete darkness?

(sorry if this isn't the right section for this post, feel free to move it into the right one.)
I remember reading this site maybe a year ago, and I thought it contained a lot of interesting ideas about the universe. You might want to read something on CMBR and redshift/blueshift before reading the pages, but I did understand it even without any previous reading on these; basically redshift occurs when the light source is moving away from the observer, blueshift is the opposite.

The website doesn't exist any more, but I was able to find a copy of it in the web archive.
(be patient, the images take some time to load)
The link is here: http://web.archive.org/web/20060427003648/http://www.btinternet.com/~mtgradwell/
Here is a diagram that explains why we see the universe expanding, yet it is actually collapsing, and why the path a light has to travel from one point to another does lenghten as the two points approach the centre of the universe: http://web.archive.org/web/20060502183654/www.btinternet.com/~mtgradwell/universe2.html
Also see the page "What we can see", http://web.archive.org/web/20060502183737/www.btinternet.com/~mtgradwell/whatwesee1.html

The idea is basically that the universe is much smaller than we see it, and it has a centre ("Great Attractor"). Light can orbit around this centre, and what we see as "distant universe" are actually multiple distorted images of the local universe - a light that has orbitted one or more times around the centre.

QuoteThe universe is closed, and much smaller than the visible universe appears to be, and has a centre.The visible universe is actually a collection of matter surrounded by multiple distorted images of itself;

By closed, I mean that even light can be considered to be following orbits within the universe; that, no matter how far light gets from any concentration of matter, it will always eventually be drawn back to a matter-dominated region, and may visit the vicinity of its source several times before being absorbed or detected. Because of this, apparently distant objects (especially those beyond an apparent distance of one billion light years) may lie in directions very different from their apparent directions, and may be images of local objects.  ...
Apparently separate regions of space look similar because they are in fact the same region, viewed by using light which has traversed different paths.

Any comments?

I generated a wave file with 200hz sine wave in one channel and 204hz in the other one, converted to mp3 and put on my mp3 player. The 4hz difference is in theta wave range which is according to http://lunarsight.com/freq.htm is "Extrasensory perception; Astral Projection". At first few tries it worked quite well got me into the hypnagogic state, but a few nights ago, something weird happened. When that night I said enough for today and turned off my mp3 player, I could hear a nasty dull humming sound from inside of my head, which then became intermittent and faded away after few minutes. Yesteday night after some 20 minutes listening to the brain waves, I started to hear a tone that should not be there. The tone was about 1khz, not stable in pitch and volume, and moved slowly from my left ear to right, then back, sometimes in both ears. When I turned off the player it again faded in few minutes.
What are these sounds I'm hearing? To my understanding brain waves are not harmful for the brain?? Should I stop using the brain waves or should I ignore the sounds and tones? The tone I heard last night was pretty loud.  And no, I'm not playing the brain waves too loud.

Our greatest goal is to return to the "source" and become one with it again. But why we ever divided from the "source"? Why individuality was created? Why everything didn't remain "one with the source" for all eternity? If there is pure joy/bliss/love in the "source", why there was a need to experience negative things??

If our goal is to re-unite with the "source" and become "pure consciousness" again as it was in the "beginning", wouldn't this mean that the whole process of individuality creation and finding a way back to the source will repeat? Wouldn't this mean that there is an endless cycle of oneness-individuality? If so, are "we" trapped in this cycle?  :? I'm confused

Yesterday while trying to induce OBE, I think I got a little further than normally, I couldn't feel my legs (but could move them), from time to time I felt a strange vibration. More than hour elapsed from the time I started, when I suddenly saw a bright white flash in the centre of my vision! This kinda freaked me out, sure it wasn't very motivating. Is this a normal "symptom"? If so I can try to overcome it, but if you never know when it happens... I simply cannot ignore it. I think I'll take a break for awhile :-P

Hello all, I see many people saying they got into "F10" state or other Fxx state, these are Focus states right?
Sorry, I have searched the forums but didn't find anything on Focus states or levels. Could you please point me somewhere where these levels are explained? Thanks
#35
hello all, this is my first post here :-D
yesterday, laying in bed before going to sleep, I have been trying to AP for the first time, and when I was relaxed and maybe in a very light trance, a storm came so I couldn't concentrate anymore.
When I woke up later in that night, I had a strange feeling on my body, feeled a bit like a light paralysation with "exhaustion". When I moved my arm, I could see it move quite sluggishly like in a slow-motion, and it also feeled very light. My vision also differed a bit from normal vision, it was a bit "dreamy", my arm looked white-ish with what I would call "motion blur" when I moved it. I somehow knew this is a near-OBE state and when I wanted to have an OBE, I would have it. However this feeling seemed so frightening that I wanted to stay from OBE as far as possible, and I tried to fall asleep. When trying to fall asleep, I think I even had a very short OBE (not sure about that) but it scared me enough that it instantly ended.
Is it normal to experience these weird frightening feelings after trying to AP for the first time? I must say it quite discouraged me from trying to AP again.
