Yesterday I had a long day at work and afterwards went out with some of my friends, upon leaving the venue we were at we decided to return to another of my friend's houses. After a while of sitting and chatting I made a mental affirmation to myself that I would astral project that night because it would help me to get over some things, I then completely forgot I made the affirmation (which is actually the times I find they are quite effective as I feel they slip in subconsciously that much better) and continued our conversation.

About an hour later I felt this INTENSE buzzing in my arms only that would increase if I lifted them slightly and looked at them. At times it felt as though my 'non-physical' arms (oxymoronic, I know) were moving. I have never felt this sensation of movement in only one area before even during practice though the vibration/body buzzing I am familiar with...the thing that gets me is that never had the sensation been so intense and the fact that I was fully conscious and awake is quite bizarre to me. A little while later I made an exaggerated movement with my entire body moving forward to show one of my friends something I had felt before in practice and at that moment it felt like my entire body shifted to a point in space right in front of me, I mostly felt it in my arms and the buzzing increased again. I did not remember I had made the affirmation until two hours or so after this experience.

So I was wondering, is this normal or has this happened to anyone else around here? This phenomenon was freaking me out quite a bit but in a good way, my friends thought I may have been having a panic attack but I felt completely fine both physically and mentally...maybe a little tired but that is all. That night I found it a tad easier to get to the vibrational state then normal but it excited me too much when I entered it this time around, plus my lower back was in mild discomfort due to my sub-par bed. It's more of a futon really.

[Once again, unsure if this topic is in the right place]

I apologize if this is in the wrong forum but I have been lurking around these parts for a month now and was quite intrigued by the phasing approach i have read about. I have had 50 lucid dreams at least in the past couple years (moreso when i kept a strict dream journal) and upon further analyzation i believe some of these were OBEs in the traditional sense (though they are basically the same with different levels of awareness)

I have experimented with the 'Third Eye Method' as i call it where one rolls their eyes back and lets their point of consciousness drift to the third eye region, I had success three times in a row with inducing vibrations which felt like an intense pulsing in that region coupled with hearing fluctuating tones that oscillated like theta waves...almost as if my mind was tuning in to a frequency it is not entirely used to receiving. All three times I got to this point in about five minutes and each time i retreated to the physical due to being plagued by negative images and feelings which i hear is normal.

I combined this method with a sort of phasing approach of enacting a mental scenario to induce hypnagogia, after a while of riding the unconscious tangent i got to a point where my vision started to turn grey and the left side of my vision turned quite white to the point where it encompassed 3/4 of my vision. It felt like my eyes were open at that point and as the whiteness grew i perceived a change in temperature (probably not real in physical terms)

I guess my main question is, how close to the point of projecting was I? Or rather what 'Focus' level was i at? Also any general tips for progressing would be appreciated aside from daily practice which I have been doing when possible...pretty much every day though.
