Forums Bugs Reports and Questions / A Novel Idea
December 07, 2008, 12:38:17
Ok, here's my idea. Ban anyone with the word "viagra" in their username, or any similarly obvious advertising stuff. I swear I've seen like three different users with viagra in their name so far. Ban first, ask questions later.

Bots infuriate me, sorry. A long time ago I watched another very good forum, Mission-Indigo, succumb to an invasion of bots when the moderator went missing that was extremely annoying.

Welcome to Dreams! / Enhanced creativity in dreams
November 27, 2008, 11:17:20
I had a dream last night where I was able to rewrite the entire first part of my work "The Kaleidoscope Vortex", and it seemed really good at the time. I can't know for sure if it really was good or just seemed good because of the dream consciousness because I can't remember anything I wrote, but whatever  8-). My question is, has anybody experienced enhanced creativity like this in the dream state?

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Nightmare Visages
November 25, 2008, 01:58:27
Has anyone ever had an experience where nightmarish and horrifically disturbing images seem to flood into your mind for no reason? I have had this happen to me many times since I was in middle school (I'm 19 now) but it no longer bothers me, although the first time it happened I was terrified and didn't get any sleep that night. If anyone has any ideas where the images might come from or how to insulate myself from them, it'd be much appreciated - I fear these images might be able to attract similar negative beings in the astral if they are in my mind at the time of a projection.

Is one any less noble if one chooses the right path only after discovering where all the wrong paths lead?

Welcome to Astral Chat! / The Difference
November 19, 2008, 00:20:29
This probably belongs in the Philosophy section, but heck, nobody reads that anyways. So here goes:

"What's the difference between a sphere with an infinitely large radius and a sphere with an infinitely small radius?"

Thanks to Alan for the inspiration for this. One of his posts said that the universe was a sphere with an infinite radius.

DISCUSS!!!...
please.

I know this probably seems like it would belong back in the philosophy section with the earlier draft, but I wanted to actually get some responses this time around (so please don't move this topic, thank you). This, unlike the earlier version posted in the philosophy section, is probably going to be the final draft, and as such it is much more consistent in tone and style as well as content. Enjoy!  :-D [EDIT: whoops, noticed some things weren't kosher so I had to make a few minor changes, let me know if you guys see anything you think needs correction] [EDIT2: The section "to play the game" has been changed and is now titled "to win the game"]

...and the truth shall set you free.

Wisdom

Wisdom is the ability to see the connection between unrelated things, and wisdom is also the way in which unrelated things are connected. Wisdom is truth juxtaposed over illusion.

Reality

Truth is reality, and reality is truth. There is only one reality, and that is the all that is. Nothingness does not exist. If you see nothing, that is not nothingness because there must be an observer present to observe.

The Observer

The 'all that is' is the observer, and the observer is all that is. The observer is who you really are, you cannot be anything else, because the 'all that is' is the only thing that exists. Nothing can exist outside of all that is. In truth, the observer always observes itself, thus it can be anything and must be everything.

The One Principle

One creates two, two creates three, and three creates all things.

This is the nature of everything. It is expansion, positivity, the ever increasing complexity of all things in an eternal state of unfolding. The line between two points contains infinity of points, thus a line is symbolic of the illusion of separation. Necessity is the mother of invention, as well as evolution. Past meets future in the now, and east meets west in awareness. In this principle is the inherent order of reality.

Negativity is the opposite of the one principle, and only exists where beings choose to believe that they are powerless. In this denial of the one principle is all disorder and unreality. True power is the ability to release, not the ability to control. If one has a need to have control over life, it is because one perceives a separation between one's life and life itself.

Life

A game is defined by its rules, and a game is meant for the enjoyment of all the players. Life is a game, and all things are players because all things are the observer and the observer cannot die. Where one sees a separation between life, there is no game - there is death.

To Win the Game

One creates two, two creates three, and three creates all things. To win the game of life, you have to be present in every moment, and to be present in every moment you must become fully present in only one. In this way, you become three - the observer, your body, and your environment. In this state, the perfect experience is happening at every moment. This state is total awareness, it is unconditional love. When you win the game of life, you achieve for all things. To win anything at the expense of others is an illusion, because the victory exists only in thought.

Neurons are cells of your body capable of holding awareness. To create a permanent state of total awareness, you must connect all neurons. When you are totally aware, thought disappears. Thought is always an attempt to bridge a disconnection in awareness - a thought is never the solution. There are an infinite number of ways to create connections between neurons. To create connections, you must increase the number of things you can be aware of at one time. You must do this until you are self aware, body aware, and environment aware all at once.

The True Nature of Imagination

All things exist by necessity - the mind exists by necessity of your unawareness. You shape your mind, and your mind shapes your perception of what reality is. To be aware of self, body, and environment is to be aware of all you can be aware of, and if you can be this state of total awareness, you need think of nothing. To have no need of thinking is unimaginable, yet not impossible.

Imagination is the inverse of the environment, as interpreted by the body. Imagination is the perception of separation and the manifestation of the need to control – imagination is the result of the need to think, and the imaginary source of thoughts is the ego. Thinking sees a dead end where the ego dies, yet it is here and only here where life can be found. The ego, thus, is the inverse of life and is the only thing keeping you from unconditional love while yet the ego exists only in your imagination. To have self awareness is to see reality independent of the imagination, while to have unconditional love is to become reality independent of imagination: it is to become the truth.

Unconditional Love

In wisdom is freedom. Unconditional love is unlimited self-awareness, and self-awareness is the goal of all wisdom. In reality alone is the truth, and the truth alone is real. The words on the page have as much meaning as you give them, and when words no longer mean anything, love will mean everything. Love is the summation of all feeling, as well as the purest one magnified. It can be neither created nor destroyed, and can be argued neither for nor against. In its presence, all illusions vanish. In its presence, wisdom becomes truth because the mind is no longer necessary. In its presence, you shall know the truth...

Welcome to Dreams! / Music of Dreams
October 17, 2008, 09:46:04
Sometimes I've heard the most beautiful music in my dreams. Like last night, I heard some acoustic guitar song in my dream about a girl named "Mabel" (although I don't even know anybody named that, and I saw later in the dream that "Mabel" wasn't the song title, it was something else, I can't remember), the song almost brought me to tears. Another time I had this experience where after a dream ended I found myself in a white room and there was this instrumental music playing. When the music finished I awoke with raised consciousness. It's strange, I can't remember how either of these songs went at all, although I wish I could. Anybody else have any musical dream experiences like that, where a full song plays?

Have any of you guys noticed a sort of subtle change in your personality when you transfer into the astral? Like, you might say things that you wouldn't normally say, but you still remain the same essential you, just wiser, sort of.

Welcome to Dreams! / Trancendental Dream Conversations
September 02, 2008, 00:27:02
Anybody had any interesting conversations with people in a dream (kind of like in the movie "Waking Life")? I had some interesting dialogue last night talking to some committee about practical uses for "A Course In Miracles" or something like that. Unfortunately I can't remember anything from it.  :-(

So heres the deal, I was having vibrations with rushing noises and I felt like I was out of my body so I tried opening one eye. For a few seconds I saw in the top half of my vision (where it was still dark because my eyelid was still half shut) myself asleep on the bed from a bird's eye view. In the bottom half of my vision at the same time I was looking out from my physical eye at the bed. Two views at once out of one eye! Of course in a few moments I opened my physical eye completely and snapped out of it.

What do you guys think? Anybody think that this is more proof of the split mind that happens when you AP?  :?

Welcome to Astral Chat! / The Secret Covenant
August 26, 2008, 22:39:21
There's been a document that's been circulating around the internet for a few years now called "The Secret Covenant", I was wanting to get your opinions on it. I didn't write this document, it was first found on this site, which no longer exists, called www.bankindex.com (don't bother visiting this site now, the domain has since been sold to advertisers). The person who sent them the document is unknown. I don't know how it was first discovered, don't ask. I added dash marks to seperate the lines, otherwise this is the exact same as you would find it on any other website it can be found on.

The Secret Covenant

-An illusion it will be, so large, so vast it will escape their
perception.
-Those who will see it will be thought of as insane.
-We will create separate fronts to prevent them from seeing the
connection between us.
-We will behave as if we are not connected to keep the illusion alive.
-Our goal will be accomplished one drop at a time so as to never bring
suspicion upon ourselves. This will also prevent them from seeing
the changes as they occur.
-We will always stand above the relative field of their experience
for we know the secrets of the absolute.
-We will work together always and will remain bound by blood and
secrecy. Death will come to he who speaks.
-We will keep their lifespan short and their minds weak while
pretending to do the opposite.
-We will use our knowledge of science and technology in subtle
ways so they will never see what is happening.
-We will use soft metals, aging accelerators and sedatives in
food and water, also in the air.
-They will be blanketed by poisons everywhere they turn.
-The soft metals will cause them to lose their minds. We will
promise to find a cure from our many fronts, yet we will
feed them more poison.
-The poisons will be absorbed trough their skin and mouths,
they will destroy their minds and reproductive systems.
-From all this, their children will be born dead, and we
will conceal this information.
-The poisons will be hidden in everything that surrounds them,
in what they drink, eat, breathe and wear.
-We must be ingenious in dispensing the poisons for they
can see far.
-We will teach them that the poisons are good, with fun images
and musical tones.
-Those they look up to will help. We will enlist them to
push our poisons.
-They will see our products being used in film and will grow
accustomed to them and will never know their true effect.
-When they give birth we will inject poisons into the blood
of their children and convince them it's for their help.
-We will start early on, when their minds are young, we will
target their children with what children love most, sweet things.
-When their teeth decay we will fill them with metals
that will kill their mind and steal their future.
-When their ability to learn has been affected, we will create
medicine that will make them sicker and cause other diseases
for which we will create yet more medicine.
-We will render them docile and weak before us by our power.
-They will grow depressed, slow and obese, and when they
come to us for help, we will give them more poison.
-We will focus their attention toward money and material goods
so they may never connect with their inner self. We will distract
them with fornication, external pleasures and games so they may
never be one with the oneness of it all.
-Their minds will belong to us and they will do as we say.
If they refuse we shall find ways to implement mind-altering
technology into their lives.
-We will use fear as our weapon.
-We will establish their governments and establish opposites within.
We will own both sides.
-We will always hide our objective but carry out our plan.
-They will perform the labor for us and we shall prosper
from their toil.
-Our families will never mix with theirs. Our blood must be pure
always, for it is the way.
-We will make them kill each other when it suits us.
-We will keep them separated from the oneness by dogma and religion.
-We will control all aspects of their lives and tell them what
to think and how.
-We will guide them kindly and gently letting them think they
are guiding themselves.
-We will foment animosity between them through our factions.
-When a light shall shine among them, we shall extinguish it by ridicule,
or death, whichever suits us best.
-We will make them rip each other's hearts apart and kill their own children.
-We will accomplish this by using hate as our ally, anger as our friend.
-The hate will blind them totally, and never shall they see that from
their conflicts we emerge as their rulers. They will be busy killing each other.
-They will bathe in their own blood and kill their neighbors for as long
as we see fit.
-We will benefit greatly from this, for they will not see us, for they
cannot see us.
-We will continue to prosper from their wars and their deaths.
-We shall repeat this over and over until our ultimate goal is
accomplished.
-We will continue to make them live in fear and anger
though images and sounds.
-We will use all the tools we have to accomplish this.
-The tools will be provided by their labor.
-We will make them hate themselves and their neighbors.
-We will always hide the divine truth from them, that we are all one.
This they must never know!
-They must never know that color is an illusion; they must always
think they are not equal.
-Drop by drop, drop by drop we will advance our goal.
-We will take over their land, resources and wealth to exercise total
control over them.
-We will deceive them into accepting laws that will steal the little
freedom they will have.
-We will establish a money system that will imprison them forever,
keeping them and their children in debt.
-When they shall band together, we shall accuse them of crimes and
present a different story to the world for we shall own all the media.
-We will use our media to control the flow of information and their
sentiment in our favor.
-When they shall rise up against us we will crush them like insects, for
they are less than that.
-They will be helpless to do anything for they will have no weapons.
-We will recruit some of their own to carry out our plans, we will
promise them eternal life, but eternal life they will never have
for they are not of us.
-The recruits will be called "initiates" and will be indoctrinated
to believe false rites of passage to higher realms. Members of these
groups will think they are one with us never knowing the truth.
They must never learn this truth for they will turn against us.
-For their work they will be rewarded with earthly things and
great titles, but never will they become immortal and join us,
never will they receive the light and travel the stars.
-They will never reach the higher realms, for the killing of
their own kind will prevent passage to the realm of enlightenment.
This they will never know.
-The truth will be hidden in their face, so close they will not
be able to focus on it until it's too late.
-Oh yes, so grand the illusion of freedom will be, that they will
never know they are our slaves.
-When all is in place, the reality we will have created for them
will own them. This reality will be their prison.
They will live in self-delusion.
-When our goal is accomplished a new era of domination will begin.
-Their minds will be bound by their beliefs, the beliefs we have
established from time immemorial.
-But if they ever find out they are our equal, we shall perish then.
THIS THEY MUST NEVER KNOW.
-If they ever find out that together they can vanquish us,
they will take action.
-They must never, ever find out what we have done, for if they do,
we shall have no place to run, for it will be easy to see who we
are once the veil has fallen. Our actions will have revealed who we
are and they will hunt us down and no person shall give us shelter.
-This is the secret covenant by which we shall live the rest of our
present and future lives, for this reality will transcend many
generations and life spans.
-This covenant is sealed by blood, our blood. We, the ones who from
heaven to earth came.
-This covenant must NEVER, EVER be known to exist. It must NEVER, EVER
be written or spoken of for if it is, the consciousness it will spawn
will release the fury of the PRIME CREATOR upon us and we shall be
cast to the depths from whence we came and remain there until the
end time of infinity itself.

Here is what the answer to all paradoxes shows:

Reality contains logic, therefore logic cannot contain reality.

-The paradox here is how can one know this is true?

THE DIVINE PARADOX

Is one an idea, or a reality? The largest thing that exists has everything inside of it, and nothing outside. Therefore does the smallest thing that exists have nothing inside of it, and everything outside? And if one is neither the largest nor the smallest thing that exists, then what is one?

_____
Some people will see the paradox, others won't. Any replies would be greatly appreciated.  8-)

Welcome to Writers Corner! / There is Only One
July 04, 2008, 12:35:47
Let me know what you guys think of this. I'm still working on it, but I could use some critique.

There Is Only One

What is the nature of a paradox? Is it a statement of truth, or a question without an answer? Could it be both? What does that mean, if it could be both at the same time? Is that a paradox as well? If a paradox is simply a statement of truth, then could it contain a lie? If a paradox is a question without an answer, then is it really even a question at all? Perhaps the lie lies in our assumptions, and the question is only one that we pose to ourselves. Is a paradox only itself in reality, yet only a direction pointing to nonsense in our minds? Whatever the truth may be, the paradox still stands as a contradiction in logic. It shows the limitations of logic where there is a question but no solution - where there is a problem that cannot be fixed with any available method.

What does it mean if you hear that we are all one when everything that you see must be seperate from you or else you could not see it in the first place? Is that the lie, or is it only a lie coming from an error in your perception of the truth? If thoughts are illusions, then what is behind them? Are they only echos of space and time? Is your mind simply a place where echos sort themselves out and masquerade as an understanding of reality? For logic to exist there must be more than one thing being observered. Symbols, meanings, and forms are the three component parts of logic. Meaning is a thought attached to the symbol that is for logic purposes equated with a reality, which is the form. When any of the three parts is missing, there cannot be logical identification. So what then of a paradox, where there is symbol and meaning forming a question that has a formless answer? Is that answer also meaningless as well as ineffable? So what is the answer to a paradox if not nonsense, and from where do we derive the word 'nonsense' if not from some experience? What is the experience of nonsense then, if it is not the experience of nonexistence? Is it oneness? Do we equate the formless with the meaningless because there are no symbols adequate enough to convey the meaning, or because the formless really is meaningless?

What lies outside of the mind is impossible to comprehend. There is no time, since past and future only exist as thoughts. Therefore everything that ever has or ever will happen is happening right now. In the silence behind your thoughts, in this moment, is logic necessary? Connected only to what exists outside your mind, right now, can you see how time is a misperception of the present moment? Can you see beyond the confines of your head without any interpretation whatsoever? If you have need of thinking, you have need of sorting out meanings with symbols, and yet you can never catagorize that which is formless without creating a false meaning. So what is oneness? It just is. There is no meaning for it except for what you make. So why talk about it? As an impossibility in its essence, it is the answer to all paradoxes. You simply cannot see nothingness because it does not exist, and yet you see it nonetheless. And yet while this may be true, what you may be seeing is everything all at once, there is no way to know the difference. Therein lies the fundamental paradox that is oneness. Yet, if oneness is a paradox, can it not also be the answer to all paradoxes?

If the paradox's question is taken as a statement, then there is no paradox, only reality. What then of oneness? If it is possible to achieve this sight of nothingness, then what would be doing the "seeing"? You can simply call it "the observer". You have to be the observer, and anything it observes cannot be you. Why is this? In oneness, you see nothing and yet are still self-aware. If you were not self aware in oneness, there would be no oneness, only nothing, and nothing cannot exist. If the observer is not a thing, is seeing it therefore impossible? One would think so, but it leaves this question: if you cannot see the observer, is it always changing, or always the same? Reality is always changing, so is the observer not a reality if it cannot change or is the observer the only constant in an ever changing existence? Perhaps we have yet another paradox in the observer, or perhaps we have the only answer.

What practical problems does any of this solve? Would seeing how we are all one change your perception to one that is simply the truth? Would this new perception allow you to open up to unconditional love if all lies were banished from your mind? How can you truly love what you know is a lie? Could you only love everything if you see everything in yourself? Maybe the answer is everything, if everything observed is reality. What then are your thoughts but lies, and what is the paradox but the only truth if it points only to reality?

Some questions don't need answers, so why try to figure out a paradox? Perhaps because unraveling a paradox really unravels nothing but your false sense of knowledge. There is no answer in logic, but as far we know, the answer could very well be another paradox. The paradox baffles the mind, and yet it is only a reflection of reality, unless it is a lie. Yet if it is only a reflection, can it ever truly be real? Can the answer be truly seen? Who shaves the barber of Seville if he's the only barber, and he only shaves those who cannot shave themselves? Nobody, or maybe the hand of God. Who knows? "I always lie". If that's true, then would I be lying and therefore telling the truth? Simple paradoxes really all stem from oneness, because it is the original paradox, which is to say, the paradox of all origins. Upon seeing what cannot possibly be seen, what are you looking at? Is there an answer, or is there just a reality? Again, we find ourselves at nonsense. What's a singularity, infinitely dense, or infinitely empty? Is oneness completely meaningful, or devoid of any meaning at all?

Nonsense is an experience, not just gibberish or something to be ignored. It is simply what it is: the absense of any sense - pure beingness with absolutely nothing attached, this is oneness. The only place to find this is within yourself. If you look at the observer, there is nothing there. This is true for everyone, and yet what is reality if it is not the truth for everyone?

So again, what is the nature of a paradox? If the answer is another paradox, then the question is the answer.

Unconditional love is a mystery, since it defies logic. What is love if it is not unconditional - is it some strange form of hatred? Is it then still a mystery, or is there a logical explanation for its existence? Releasing all thoughts from your mind, you will find that love has been in your heart all along. It just is. There is no reason why it is there. Is love the purest emotion magnified, or the summation of all feelings? If love is a paradox, then it must be both, otherwise it would not be a mystery at all. If it's not a mystery, are we even sure that it is a reality? The paradox shows the flaw in logic, and unconditional love shows what is on the other side. If the answer to a paradox is another paradox, then love must be the answer while yet being a paradox in itself. Loving for the sake of love is nonsense until you know what unconditional love really is. It is simply seeing yourself in all things. It is opening up to all that is and seeing all for what it is without accepting symbols in the place of forms. The meaning of love is beyond the scope of any writing to describe, because it is only defined in actions which are as various as reality itself. Love is a perception without any logical interpretations. Love sees all situations exactly the same because love sees itself in everything. What does the observer of love see in it? The observer sees everything, that's why it is unconditional. That is the paradox. Although there may be many paradoxes in form, in truth there is only one. So with reality, so with love.

And the Truth Shall Set You Free

Wisdom

Wisdom is the ability to see the connections between unrelated things, and wisdom is also the way in which unrelated things are connected. Wisdom is truth juxtaposed over illusion.

Reality

Truth is reality, and reality is truth. There is only one reality, and that is the all that is. Nothingness does not exist. If you observe nothingness, it is not nothingness because it has become a thing to be observed.

The Observer

The 'all that is' is the observer, and the observer is all that is. The observer is who you really are, you cannot be anything else, because the 'all that is' is the only thing that exists.

The One Principle

One creates two, two creates three, and three creates all things.

This is the nature of everything. It is expansion, positivity, the ever increasing complexity of all things in an eternal state of unfolding. The line between two points contains infinity of points, thus a line is only symbolic of the illusion of separation. Necessity is the mother of invention, as well as evolution.

Negativity is the opposite of this principle, and only exists where beings choose to believe that they are powerless.

Life

A game is defined by its rules, and a game is meant for the enjoyment of all the players. Life is a game, and we are all players because we are all the observer and the observer cannot die.

To Take Control of Your Life

One creates two, two creates three, and three creates all things. To take control of your life, you have to be present in every moment, and to be present in every moment you must merge the body with the observer permanently. In that way, you become three - the observer, your body, and your environment. In this state, the perfect experience is happening at every moment.

Neurons are cells capable of holding awareness. To create a permanent state of total awareness, you must connect all neurons. When you form a total awareness of your body, thought disappears. Thought is always an attempt to bridge a disconnection in awareness; a thought is never a solution. There are an infinite number of ways to create connections between neurons. To create connections, you must increase the number of things you can be aware of at one time. You must do this until you are self aware, body aware, and environment aware all at once.

The True Nature of "Sin"

Your mind shapes your perceptions. To be aware of your self, body, and environment is to think of nothing. To have no need of thinking is unimaginable, yet not impossible.

Here and now is all that exists - when you can see only what exists then you have released only what does not. Unconditional love and beingness are the same, only different in perceived degree. The observer does not have degrees, but illusions do. You are beingness, which is to say, your awareness alone. You can become aware of beingness, and to do so is to be aware of infinity because the observer is all that is. To look inside is to 'see' the observer, which is invisible.

Actions which keep you from expanding your awareness are "sins". Yet all "sins" are simply mistakes made in ignorance that need correction. The correction of individual mistakes rests on individual choice. You must forgive others their sins for your own sake, for your own hatred must be exposed before it can be removed. Your own progress in increasing your awareness is all that matters in life.

Unconditional love is eternal, even when you cannot feel it.  Remove all your barriers to it, and it will shine through you and everyone you meet.

Unconditional Love

Hatred occurs when you equate a reality with an idea, and fear occurs whenever you lose self awareness. Hatred and fear arise from the same misperception and come in many guises. Having loving thoughts is a step towards not needing to think at all. Unconditional love cures both hatred and fear when it is achieved, because the fundamental misperception that we are seperate vanishes in the light that was and always is within you.
