Okay, I never "OBED", so take this with a grain of salt... or two. A lot of people seem to have trouble with malicious spirits and things of the sort. I do fear them myself, and am not sure why. I sometimes have trouble falling asleep because I'm always looking over my sholder, always paying attention to the slightest noise caused by insects. Once I do fall asleep though, my dreams are ok.
I have never (from what I can remember) had a nightmare. What I have experienced many times however, is a struggle against monsters of one kind or another. From zombies to giant snakes. Those battles tend to be without resolution, my struggle futile, I never "kill off" the monster in question, but I never seem to be afraid of it. If I am, it's at most in the level of play fear, the fear that you feel when someone is close to finding you in a game of hide and seek for example.
I once dreamt I had been poisoned. My tongue was choking me, but I didn't really feel any fear because I felt somebody was going to come to my aid. Then I woke up.
I once dreamt I was in a tall building (40th floor as I recall) and a giant wave nearly reached me, splashing water on the balcony. I believe I said something along the lines of "Thank you God, I trust you.", after which I woke up.
