One thing that still boggles my mind is the issue of dreams and especially "where" they take place.

I have yet to develop a mind set regarding to this matter..  :?

Robert bruce in Astral Dynamics refers to a dream mind, saying that the dream is an internal process happening in the dream dimensions, which are different from real time, astral and higher.
So, first of all, if someone could bother to explain his point of view regarding this matter, as I still find it hard to understand, you are thanked for.

Many people talk about dreams taking place in the astral dimension, with the only difference between an AP being the fact that you are creating the whole scenario, characters etc..

I tend to lean towards this point of view but still something inside of me senses something is a bit unaccounted for.
From this perspective, your dream body = your astral body (right?) , and the dream plane = the astral plane. This point of view certainly clears some very demanding aspects of dreams.
Who came up with this point of view and what is it based upon?

The last and only question that really matters is whether you are necessarily out of your body as you dream.

I am grateful for any response.  :-)

Peace & love

Well, ive decided to make a nice big purchase from Amazon
Robert Monroes Ultimate Journey, Journeys out of the Body and Far Journeys
Robert Bruces Astral Dynamics
Stephen Leberges Exploring the World Of Lucid Dreams and Lucid Dreaming: A Concise Guide to Awakening in your Dreams and in your Life
I am contemplating on whether I should also get a copy of Bruce Moens After Knowledge Guidebook: A Manual of Retrieval and Afterlife Exploration
Any advice is welcome.
I was lead to believe all of these books are really a MUST have.

I am just now beginning to learn about this entire field and have yet to actually try projecting.
My question is:
once fully trained, can you achieve a projection every time you want it?
I mean literally lie in your bed and project without real efforts? or will it forever be a hard thing to accomplish?
thanks in advance

first of all,
Ive been giving lately attempts to the WILD technique.
When I lay down I see vague colors, shapes etc and every once in a while a whole scene kicks in as if im really in it followed with an intense vibration but after 1-2 seconds its gone, until the next one comes. I cant seem to maintain / enter those scenes.
Secondly
if you meditate during a lucid dream, isn't the dream environment supposed to change into the real astral reality?
#7
so..
I have a lot of things in mind relating to various topics so I just thought I'll post it all under one same topic and hope for someone to answer.

First of all,
The Monroe Institute. I didn't really understand from the website what it's all about, what is the focus 10 etc etc mentioned and there and so on. What exactly do you do there, how will it effect my life afterwards, my consciousness etc..
I would really like to hear from someone who has been there and tried their courses what it's like and how it helped him.

Secondly,
the opinions regarding to dreams, projections, obes are various and i have yet come to an understanding of my own.
Some people say that when you dream, your consciousness is projected to the astrals and the only difference is therefore in your perception and the fact that in a dream you are responsible for the scenery, people etc whilst when projecting, you are viewing the public astral. Some say that turning a lucid dream into a projection is almost impossible because you will just dream about projecting when in fact you won't exit your body. Reading about various techniques made me think that I should try converting a lucid dream into a projection. One important question will then be, how can I determine whether I am viewing the public Astral Planes or simply figments of my own imagination / subconscious

Also, could you enter from a lucid dream the real time zone? (obe - "etheric projection")

Another question I have is regarding the known WILD technique.
The WILD technique is to my best knowledge very familiar to astral projection techniques.
Letting the HI come and eventually to enter it.
One question would be how to determine if the HI are pictures from the Astrals or from your dreamland.

Lastly,
I have heard a lot in this forum about "Astral Dynamics"
What exactly is this book and where can i find it?

Thanx in advance to everyone who will help me, reply to my questions, and to all who take the time to read them.

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Someone please help
September 21, 2008, 14:37:13
Usually when I meditate lying on my back at night when i'm tired, not long after I start, colors, pictures and all sorts of not so clear projections will be observed. every once in a while, when i'm not ready, just suddenly I get a very clear projection, like im really in it, not like things running in the darkness but a solid whole scene, accompanied with an intense  vibration, but after 1-2 seconds when i realize it, its gone and I come back to my normal state with all those things running through my head and again after a couple of minutes another clear projection will be seen, but I can't seem to maintain/enter it.

Well,
first of all
the method is very similar if not the same. (reaching the hypnogogic state and then entering one of the scenes when it becomes strong enough)
Correct me at any point if i am mistaken.
Also,
Ive read in ultimate reality that every time you sleep you unconsciously project to the astral planes.
so another question will be, if you have a lucid dream, supposing that you are conscious, provided by this information, astral projecting and lucid dreaming will be the same thing.
i think ive got something wrong
could someone be nice enough to explain?

hi
im fairly new to astral projecting, obes etc..
currently reading ultimate reality
didnt get to the astral projection chapter yet tho
almost there!
anyway
i dont really know methods for astral projection and obes yet
just know what they are
yesterday, i had a very unusual experience during meditation and id like to know what it was.
so
ive started meditating about a week ago or maybe less
i meditate from 1-3 times a day
each time putting a 20 minutes timer
yesterday,
during my second and last meditation of the day which was right before going to sleep i experienced something very strong.
after a couple of minutes of meditation, i began feeling like my body was paralyzed a bit (this already happened to me), a bit later afterwards, suddenly a very strong and vivid image, like a movie running before my eyes, very intense, also accompanied with an intense sound/music, after 1-2 seconds in this state, i felt the most amazingly strong vibration rushing through all of my body, a couple of seconds later, the movie/image was gone, but my state of consciousness remained different than usual.
I felt like i was in a trance maybe. I tried to just keep meditating but it was very hard. I tried to encourage another image of the same sort to reappear with no success, but very short afterwards, it happened again, with no vibration this time, until very quickly, everything was out of control, I just laid down, trying to keep focus on my thoughts when possible, and images/videos/sounds just rushed through my mind in a very fast and powerful manner. In this point I realized the clock was going to ring and take me out of my trance which was an amazing experience and i didnt want it to happen, but in no way, i woudlve opened my eyes and disconnect it. i couldnt even think about moving.
Trying to keep meditating upon my breath led me to the feeling that my thoughts are divided or so. Like a lower part of my consciousness of me was still trying to meditate upon his breath, while of course, getting distracted from time to time, but like a higher part of me was this sounds and images, like they were no part of my consciousness, not controlled by any way on the behalf of me, just images and sounds of all sorts and kinds running through my mind higher than my consciousness efforts to keep meditating (which was quite hard at the time) as if someone was just projecting those flicks of audio and video into my mind above my "normal" thoughts.
After some time in this state which seemed like quite longer than it really was (all of the experience was exactly 20 minutes) the alarm suddenly went off and i was pulled out of this state, back to "reality", i was shocked, everything of course was dazed and blurry. Another thing to mention is that at the beginning of the process, in the early minutes of meditating, when i was closing my eyes, instead of seeing black and some patches of colors, i saw like light tunnels, which were constantly changing, like i was in some way, being pulled through them.
I hope i succeeded in making you understand partially at least my experience.
I don't know what it was and i would very much like to.
I also think it was not even close to being fully "used", I am sure that if my alarm wouldn't go off, I would reach even more states of consciousness.

Does someone here know what this was about?
Thanks in advance

I'm new here
and just very recently been exposed to things like astral projection and obes.
I don't know who here is familiar with the brainwave entertainment field but I went and bought the mp3 for astral projection.
These are special frequencies that are supposed to make the person listening to them astral project.
It did not work for me.
I was wondering if someone knew what i might be doing wrong, what are the cons of the brainwave entertainment field (if there are any..).

thanks alot
