I just remembered a neat experience I had about 10 years ago.  I was in fairly  deep REM sleep phase (it was 1 in the morning) and a loud noise suddenly brought me to semi-conscious.  I saw a series of bright flashes and between each flash I would see a scene.  Some of the scenes were gorgeous some were not so nice but it was like some sort of massive download was occurring at super high speed.  As my conscious mind struggled to wrap my mind around what was happening I came out of it.  If it had not been for the loud noise that brought me to semi-conscious I probably would never have known this could or had ever happen to me.   Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Dear All,

Ok! I had one of my typical OBEs which means I was conscious for the first part going up the tunnel...feeling really great....things are going fast but I am able to get into the moment and enjoy it....and then I guess my destination is selected or something and suddenly things speed up way out of control.  They get so fast I can not stay with it.   All I brought back this time was the Realm of Awakening Vision.  Now what the heck is that.  First of all Awakening infers some sort of time line and since there is not time line over there what the hey!  Anyhow.  Has anyone else heard of a Realm of Awakening Vision?  Sigh!  I really do have to try harder at this but it is so hard to stay conscious after the initial projection...once I see the symbol or my destination is selected and the like.  Sometimes I feel like I have been gone for hours and feel like a massive down load of info occurred.  

Does anyone else get this massive speed up when they enter portals?   Its like a super rush that makes me consciously pass out as if it is a safety to ensure I can't counsciously remember or maybe because my conscious mind would get in the way?  Thanks All.

I think of lucid dreams as something where I have full conscious awareness during my dream and can remember the entire dream from start to finish in every detail but still am aware that it is a dream.

The best example I could come up with of lucid dreaming were a long series of reoccuring dreams I use to have between the ages of 8-12 years of age.  Each time the dream would start out with me seeing a small playground.  Not a typical playground though.  There was a merry-go-round, and  a few other fair type rides and a long tunnel slide. I use to dread seeing this scene for I knew I was about to be tested again. I always went down the long tunnel slide immediately (always wondering why I never got to ride the merry-go-round) and ended up in some different place. The last dream I had I ended up on an island.  I was told (not by a voice or anything just the thought was put in my head) that part of the forest had caught fire and that my friends on the other end of the island needed to be told so they could get to safety.  I started to run to warn them.  I was running at a neck breaking pace not worrying about the small cuts and bruises I was getting.  Then suddenly I saw a bridge and felt that this was the short cut to get to my friends.  But guess what! It was a very narrow suspension bridge and guess who was standing on the bridge.  Well what ever it was had a dark long robe with a hood and all one could see where shining red eyes.  I stood there looking at it and contemplating what to do for a moment then I said to myself I do not have time for this and tried to find the next best way to get to my friends.  Suddenly I was there and my friends were all on the beach having fun and I suddenly got the thought there was no fire.  I look at my presumed friends and did not know a one of them.  Then I wake up.  That dream occurred when I was 12 years old and I remember every moment of that dream and every feeling I had to this day.  How is that for lucid.

Pretty wild (but not WILD) dream if you ask me.

Dear Robert Bruce,

I heard you on Art Bell and have to say that you are truly the best person Art has ever had on the topic of OBE's.  Your explanations fit so well with my experiences that I am definitely going to buy your books.  

I am hoping you can help clarify some very, very profound OBE's where I see a great light and am filled with tremendous LOVE.  The love is so deep that a single tear flows down my cheek.  I then shoot out of my body surrounded by light and feel like I am traveling at the speed of light.  Sometimes things slow down and then I see hundreds of ancient looking symbols floating by.  But when these experiences occur it is as if I am only allowed to remember the going and not allowed to remember what I experienced there.  Have you experienced this?  Do you remember where you went?

I have experienced noises also, i have heard people ranting, knocking. I could hear a woman ranting, told her to shut, lol, it worked.
Once i thought i heard my daughter (14 year old) crying, this was in transit state, brought me back to my body and found that my daughter was fast alsleep.
I am learning to ignore them.  I also get ear ringing when out of body, sometimes quite intense.
Any ideas on the ear ringing?

Wow Violet- that was fantastic! What a great perspective you have. I feel like that is what I have always though, but have never been able to "realize". I feel like I could create a book of great quotes solely based on that single thread you just posted. I hope you share your outlook with all those around you- it can help many people.

Well, I don't think I have seen "the grid", unless it's the same one I have seen with my eyes shut...I love to watch the electric pulses and "sparks" while my eyes are closed and sometimes I see a matrix in them.  Other times I see a matrix in the distant black void in my mind.

I will definetly have to do some research on the subject.  In a nutshell, what exactly did Mr. Bruce say about this "grid"?

The tan tien is basically the same as the subnavel storage area. It is also the hara (Japanese term). The hara line is a vertical line going through the hara. I don't know much about the hara line or why it would move. Perhaps the seven main chakras are included in it.

I believe I might have projected to a place that accurately mirrored a future event.  It was spontaneous, and I was in the middle of an earthquake, and this earthquake happened 3 days later.....the scene was exactly as I saw it.

I'm sure this is very possible......but then, it isn't my place to comment, I know nothing but what I have experienced firsthand.  I too would love to hear others comments on this.  Is it possible to project into the future (well, at least a mirror of it)?

Are there ways to actively search for a 'future realm'?

Hi Violet! yes, i also agree that negs as well as other little creatures choose to hang around, especially certain people for various given reasons as well as to feed off of other people's energy like you and Robert have said. i wonder why they'd choose to do this? what would really be the main purpose of them wanting to do this to people? are they -all- bad? i wonder if -good- astral creatures would need to do this as well?! i'm also pondering over if say, astral wildlife would also be doing this to people along with negs and other astral creatures? why would the astral wildlife choose to take people's energy? well, let's take a look at what plants and animals and even insects need to do in order to keep living on the physical. my guess would be to help them possibly -grow- like how plants and animals need food as well as preying on one another in order to keep surviving and grow like how it is on the physical. so, instead of the astral creatures and wildlife needing to prey off of each other and eat other animals and plants, they feed off of people's energy! why? why would something like this exist? maybe only the ones who do this sort of thing are bad, and the good ones don't have to do this to keep on existing? does the bad ones need other's energy to survive because they're just thoughtforms that need energy to continue to exist?

here's an odd idea. if there are any advanced projectors who are on the forum, why don't you try doing this experiment with one of the astral wildlife or other creature you may find that exists there, especially one you may feel may not be good. now, what if one of them would be caught for a short amount of time and contained in an area where it wouldn't ever be allowed to have any energy to feed off of? watch it and see if it slowly will disappear and diminish before your astral eyes. without one of these creatures being allowed to feed off of any kind of energy, would it eventually keep fading until it would overall disappear? and, if it would completely disappear, would that mean it 1) needed energy to feed off of to keep existing and 2) it was a thoughtform that needed to keep absorbing energy to continue to live?

so Violet, what reasons why do you think negs and other astral creatures choose to hang around us? "I think there are many reasons for negs hanging around...". i have ideas as well on this, but would also like to hear a few of your first. -smile-

i also agree, that negs and other astral creatures like feeding off of energy that pretty much matches their own vibration, especially more so, negative energy such as feelings and emotions. however, i'm also sure that there are those who feed off of other kinds of energy as well besides the kind that may match their own energy. they feed off of lifeforce energy too. maybe they're psychic vampires? -laugh- well, you never know! -grin- without taking one's lifeforce energy, would these particular kind just keep fading until they completely become non-existent? or, without doing this, would they still live on anyway?

well, i'm also agreeing with you in saying that whenever one's feeling as though they're in a very high energy and positive state of mind, the negs and others won't necessarily be able to want to touch you or even really want to have anything to do with you. however, i'm also sure that they actually are others who would be attracted to you overabundance of energy as well because of you having so much. they'd see this and would more likely would want your energy. however, if one says prayers and continues to keep raising their energy and vibration, then maybe these negs and other lower astral creatures wouldn't even be able to see you! i'm saying this because, take this for example. if there are higher and lower realms that exist, we can't see them, so, it's probably the same thing to lower astral creatures. your vibration may be so high that you're unnoticeable to them! that's my guess! -smile- and, maybe your energy's if of such a high vibration that they wouldn't be able to stand having your energy to use, because it would be to high for them.

i'm also certain that negs and other lower beings would also normally choose to avoid being near a person who would want to contiuously want to keep using prayers and surrounding themself with white light because they don't like these things. it feels uncomfortable to them and they don't necessarily like this energy as much either. however, here's kind of a strange though.....i'm wonder if a lower astral being or neg would like to take and use this kind of good energy would mean that this particular one is wanting to attempt to raise out of it's own dark vibration and may be trying to be good? now, ponder about that one! if not, then why would one want to have white light or good energy?

I have no explanation, but it does make you wonder at how literally to take these experiences if you attempt to look at it from a normal left brain viewpoint. Afterall, why would some amazing being visit you in such a miraculous way, but then blather on for 10 minutes in an unknown language? Wouldn't you think it would have it within its intelligence to use a translator to Canadian English? What is with these entities, anyway?

I am NOT being flippant because I believe every word you said. But I've also had enigmatic experiences, and one of the frustrating elements is how often they make no sense to the conscious mind!

Sometimes I wonder if the medium is the message, i.e., the point of the visit is just to tell us that reality is much larger than we think. Perhaps using some strange tongue is just a way to signify how little we know of the vastness of the universe. If we assume a language originates within a group/culture, then this visit implies a vaste "civilization" that speaks a tongue we normal folk don't even recognize. Perhaps that was the message. Or perhaps the message spoke (as some claim for crop circles) to a subliminal aspect of the human mind?

Who knows? But if the feeling tone was positive, then I'd take it as one of those benevolent yet annoyingly obtuse experiences that life seems to throw at us. At least your experience has a metaphysical dignity! I've had a few that I greatly hesitate to share since they are so mundane (no cosmic voice, no flowing robes or light figures with celestial choirs in the background like an old Laurence Welk TV show). In fact, one night an orb appeared to me and the thought appeared in my mind "Stop using alcohol based Stridex pads on your face. They are giving you Rosecea."  What's a person to do with that kind of experience? I stopped using Stridex pads, but never get any "ooohs" or "aaahs" and wise nods of affirmation when I tell this true story. What was it, a celestial commercial or public service announcement?

If you are referring to Practical Psychic Self Defense, as I assume you must be, I don't believe it is due for offical release until May or so.  Presumably then Amazon have to deal with publishers and so on.

I have the same problem in reverse in Britain. Although Amazon have a big base in the UK, I often find it quicker, and believe it or not less expensive, to purchase from Amazon in the States - even after shipping charges!

I am looking forward to this book as much as everyone - I am sure Robert will keep us informed.
