Hi all.I am wondering if the feeling that someone grabs your hands or feet are phenomenon related to the etheric or what else? In almost all of my succesful obes these hands are present, but know I can add the pain I am feeling or a sense of bite at my ends (hands or feet) that is very intense.On the other hand my obes are now more "classic" and less lucid dreams that is, as I make progress I feel more frequently these dragging hands. Is all that a mind interprentation?
Because if I were the ordinary church guy I might say that all that is demonic. I do not believe in such an explanation.

Hi all,sometimes (quite often althought) I feel hands grabbing one hand or feet or touching my head.As this feeling is very annoying but not dangerous I am wondering about a working explanation.Have you any idea?

you feel out of place and you seem to feel you have lost control. I would suggest not looking at the hands and try a short flying trip instead that way you feel like you are in control of something.

I work a lot and I'm usually very tired physically and psyhically and in those periods I can never get an obe.But there are days when I know that if I layed down I would have one.It's just this kind of pressure in my head,that lets me know that I can do it, but I would agree, that there might be some kind of recharging needs so that I feel the energy (or pressure) in my head....hmmm..

there is a lot that can be determined about a person by their handshake, but it's just a small aspect of the much larger skill of reading body language ^_^ there are quite a number of simple, quick, unintrusive ways to get insight into a person [].

as for the vampirism thing, it's a lot more complicated than what you've mentioned. for some weaker minded/spirited people trying to "become" energy vampires, they'll soon realize that other things come along with the energy, things which can cause confusion about one's identify (sometimes confusion enough to do serious psychological damage, though rare).

however, there are also psychic vampires out there who can easily take other people's energy and filter out that which is undesirable. in actuality, most SKILLED energy users should be able to "vamp" without much difficulty, and i'm not even going to get into the topic of the people who supposedly can't help but take other people's energies ^_^.

but to the mundanes who are just shaking hands, sometimes lots can happen, sometimes little can happen; it depends on the two shaking hands. but while ego's may collide quite strongly, most mundanes can take very little of your actual chi/energy via a handshake, not enough to make a difference in one's day-to-day life [].

edit: i just finished reading the article completely, and it's my opinion that the author is overexaggerating the handshake and the power of a "single thought" in the "hands" of a mundane ^_^.

I used to have the same problem during obe attempts. I think its something that goes away with practice. The more you become accustomed to relaxing in general, being relaxed for long durations, being in sleep-paralysis, etc it all becomes easier and more natural. Problems like that went away for me after awhile.

Furthermore, the incredible high quality vision that you has reported, is, of sure, characteristic of an OBE. You has taken note of you cannot close eyelids, dont't you..? That's another symptom of being at an OBE. "strange crazy scenery" is surely related to a very wide field vision. As a matter of fact, astral vision is far better than physical vision. Normally dreams don't actually hurt so something was going on.  A neg is a probable possiblity, but don't get paranoid.

hey you should not need to be feard of anything nothing can hert you. the only thing that can happen to you is you can get realy scared. i heard of some one going into panic mode when they got back into ther phisical boddy. so no there is nothing to be scared of. even in the physical world you should not be scared nothing can hert you (i mean none physical beins)only thing that can happen is they can scare you.

Sounds like you were seeing your other bodies. Though I have not experienced this I have read that this is not uncommon.

It could be an energy blockage. Do you do any energy work? If you don't I recomend giving Robert Bruce's NEW energy waves a read, they're very helpful. I've experienced uncomfortableness when in the vibrations prior to seperation many times, and usually after a bit of energy work, its better the next time, but I don't keep up the energy work, and it comes back.

Sometimes, when the vibrations come in, and I raise them, as I do, I get really really ticklish in my neck area, so ticklish that I just have to do something to stop it, so i try to stop the vibrations which is very hard to do, because my body is immobile while in the vibrations so sometimes I just have to wait for them to pass, because when it tickles I haven't raised them enough to exit.
What I think the problem for me here, is either an active throat chakra which shouldn't be active while trying to project, or a blockage in my throat chakra.

For you, you say its around your waist, so it would be your base chakra.
Anyway, if you don't know about energy work or chakras I advise you to start reading up on them, and Roberts NEW system is a good start.
Even though what happended to you yesterday could be something entirely different, and might not happen again, I guess ya never know. Though doing energy work has benifits of its own.

I certainly welcome more views on this, but I for one do not see how an OBE can influence one's morality.

My operating assumption is that the OBE gives the traveler more information and a view of what is, from a different and not-so-normal perspective. If one were, as they say, set in ones' ways; it is not clear to me that more information, by itself, would necessarily change those habitual ways of functioning.

Indeed one could easily make the case that the additional information obtained via the OBE would be used in non-moral ways.

One might assume the optimistic stance that more information can be used to update, reform, or extend one's morality. But my view is that one should be cautious down this path, as I've experienced many disappointments consequent to unrealistic optimism.

As far as i know, all the major chakras are located in the front of the body but there are hundreds of energy ports all over the place.
