"Your personality type is INFP.

Introverted (I) 86% Extraverted (E) 14%
Intuitive (N) 64% Sensing (S) 36%
Feeling (F) 60% Thinking (T) 40%
Perceiving (P) 91% Judging (J) 9% "

Ha yes, interesting, I'm a student engineer too - not sure how well us INFP types really fit this! Interesting stuff though, I have always liked Jungs approach.

Hi Ame,

Sensing others, while attempting to explore the nonphysical (or even while fully conscious and going about one's daily stuff) is actually more common than people realize. For years Bob Monroe was aware of a presence always with him when exploring and eventually discovered they were Guides, others from what he called his I/There, or Higher Self. In the beginning it's natural to be wary, and we understandably end up projecting our own fears onto these 'others', and such fear then comes back to us and causes misunderstanding (thinking they are harmful, etc). I went through the same many years ago.

But what I've learned from exploring the nonphysical is there's a fundmental principle in the works: like attracts like. Our beliefs, fears, desires go with us when we explore and literally color/influence our own interpretations of what we experience. If we believe we can be harmed while There, guess what we attract to us? If we *known* we can't be harmed, well..you get the picture.--:o) There truly is nothing to fear but what our own fear-based-beliefs projections can possibly create...if allowed to.

You can always offer out an inquisitive, nonjudgemental, "Hello and who are you?" thought, the next time you sense a presence. Perceiving 'hands helping you leave your body' has been a common occurrence through the ages. I'll never forget when I realized, years ago, that who I had initially feared turned out to be a personal Guide with infinite patience (lol)...just waiting for me to come to know who they really were.

Much love,

heh... My own personal way of gathering energy.... well.. i have a few... but i'll post the ones I can best seem to decribe...

my first way...

I prepare myself, and get myself a good place to sit comforatbly.... i make sure i wont be disturbed that much, where i can focus on what i am doing... not nessicarily in silence. then i procede to consume what is on my plate.... * chuckles *... heh.. sorry... i had to do that... but in all seriousness...

when it comes to something that i just want a little bit of time to recharge, or freshen up, [im ususally standing when in this scenario] i take a light horse stance and bring my arms around in a kindof circular type motion [ theres no definate way, i just go with the flow, and use any arm gesture that comes to me at the time] and i draw my arms in to my side, all the while takeing in a deep breath, and focusing a little to begin drawing in energy from my surroundings. a feeling of something moveing inwards of my body and circulating with the rest of my essance, feeling a little bit of light, warm tingling, showing that i got my energy moveing a bit, also feeling the slightly different energy that im drawing in. after a little while of doing this [ and sufficiently creeping out anyone around me, who decided to take notice and doesn't understand; wich in turn is also slightly amuseing] where i feel that i've drawn in, and converted the new energy into me, i try to blend the energy a bit, then make myself feel as if im putting a cap [ any form of closeing type feeling] on myself, as to not let all the energy i've gathered dissapate, because it wasnt given a use, and i try to let the energy i've gathered, become a part of me.  a minor recharge, so to say. I then take another deep breath and stretch out a little bit, or get my body moveing a little, to re-settle everything, then i head back to whatever it was that i was doing.

and for more of a longterm way of gathering energy.... i havent really had the time to try and gather energy for myself, or for whatever practice, for more than 20 minutes to an hour. I guess i'm saveing that for when i finally achieve an astral projection.... I guess, i would say that, that long of a practice should be done in its proper place, where energy is more controllable, and is able to have more of an affect... I would use some of the same basics that i use for the quick way.... except make things more drawn out, and more focused and intense, to REALLY get my efforts worth for the action...

[[I've been trying to find methods of converting different forms of energy into more personal energy for the body. I kindof have something down for warm wind, heat, and rain... but im haveing more of a hard time useing cold, cold wind, snow, and the more harder types of earth types....[ opposed to sand/dirt/easily movable earth types] oh well.... my extra few cents on this thread ]]
