I did the same thing as you when I tried to project and my heart went wiggout style and I had REM and started to see nothing but black and white through my eyelids! ANd then I saw shadowy figures and they looked kinda humanoid but not really. This made me wig out more so out of better judgement I stopped it. And rather than being numb it was like I was on speed for the rest of the day, like a sugar rushx10, I was really hyper. Crazy. That was the closest iv'e come other than hearing voices, and feeling my hand float up in the air. [
