Hi All,

It would be a really big help to the administrators if you included some details of your computer.

Things like operating system and browser are the most important, but some specs on the actual machine itself would also be useful.

Can you all please bear with us while we try and solve the current issues with the new forums. I am sure we can get to a point where everyone is happy with the forums. http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0>

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Mark of the Devil?
January 14, 2003, 17:40:15
no, that would not really be feasible just because the use of physical money will never die out in a market driven economy. and you can't track who's buying what when they use physical money.

more likely i could see a government taking control of an economy and issuing new identification cards (nationwide ssn cards) that would also then be used as a "credit card" with each person having a personal bank account, which the government would, naturally, regulate. this would make it much easier to track people. and with technology as it is, the "cards" could be microchips instead. so i kinda circled back to what you had originally disagreed with, but hey, that's why people think the microchip thing is going to happen.

but really, the book of Revelations is quite explicit that the mark that would be put on everyone would be the number 666. (and just cause i'm an anal-retentive bible thumper (when it suits me[:P]), i'd like to point out that the number six hundred, three score, and six isn't the number of the beast but of, as the greek text is also quite explicit in stating, "a man".)

Welcome to Healing discussions! / Healing Study

That sounds like an interesting study. I would have liked to participate in something like that. It would not be easy to arrange something like that with our group.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Proof of afterlife?

Thanks Muzza
Sooner or later science will accept the fact that a spiritual reality exists. After all, quantum mechanics is just as unfathomable as NDE,AP and OOB. Sometimes I get the feeling that the truth is teasingly close.

I am so glad someone is wanting to use natural therapy inside of doping their children up...

I don't have suggestions for ya, but what I will say is that most of these children are very very bright.  Otherwise they wouldn't be so active.  Only extrememly bright children are that active... That is why I am so against the "R" medication that's seems to be the parents rage right now.  Why suppress it?  Give them tons of stimili to keep their minds going...

I find it a dismal society that parents would be so quick to choose drug therpy for their children...

I could be wrong, but I don't think so..  I would also rather err on the side of the non drugged child... than to wish I hadn't of done it.

Good for you!!

You are exceptionally perceptive about the woes and needs of humankind. You often have the understanding and skill to readily conceive and implement the solutions to your perceptions. Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Buddhism
May 09, 2002, 11:51:01
One of the most basic practices of Buddhism is to be aware of what you are doing, thinking, and feeling at the time of doing, thinking, and feeling. Posture is also important. If you are sitting, it is good to know that you are sitting. The same for standing, walking, and reclining. Most people only know their own actions, thoughts, and emotions when they observe the effects. It is the same with speech. There are people who not only not know what they are about to say but are surprised to have heard it. It is possible to develop this awareness to the point that even tendencies are clear. Intent to move precedes movement. A few years ago I tended to acquire small cuts, bruises, and burns on my hands without usually knowing how. This cultivation of awareness helped me to avoid these injuries. This is one half of what is needed.

The other half of what is needed is to stabilize the mind. Discontent leads the mind to seek after objects. Its opposite is to seek to avoid them. When trying to meditate either in formal sessions or in daily activity it is best to be able to acknowledge these objects and leave them alone. Another pair is dullness with agitation. Either the mind lacks the energy to hold on to its object or it is too energetic to hold on to a single object. Then there is by itself doubt as to why it should be a good idea to train the mind at all or whether it can be done. Stability is a balancing exercise for the mind.

In Buddhism we are not as we ordinarily perceive ourselves. It is the same with the world around us and with other people. The texts suggest directions to look in, but it declares nothing to be so without suggesting that it be tested. That is why I chose it.

I am no expert on this but I believe the pentegram is used for protection and ...ummm.... I suppose binding is the word. To bind the spirits and protect the user from them. If that makes sense! :)

On another note...your sig line....I have always said "I am a god...not the god but a god!" Ripped straight out of Groundhog Day but it is a line that has stayed with me! :)

Welcome to Dreams! / Energy work and Lucid Dreaming
February 16, 2002, 14:11:58
Hey Muzza,

Yes, energy work makes dreams much more vivid. And
yes, this makes Lucid Dreaming easier. But the
reason why it becomes easier is that you recall
more of the dream, and it's clearer, hence you'll
have an increased chance of becoming
conscious/aware that you're deaming. As far as I
know, you still need to practice with Reality
Checks etc (with the exception of WILDs - which
are the best anyway :)

Anyway, the best Lucid Dream FAQ I found is Lars
Lucid Dream FAQ.
