I don't suppose anyone knows how to get rid of warts? I have a small one on my finger and I hate it :/ I hear energy work doesn't work with healing warts right?

Hi, I can move awareness through my limbs but when I get to my back I can't quite make out where my awareness is supposed to go. Do I raise energy through my entire torso like I do with my limbs or does it just go up the surface of my back, neck, over the top of my head, down my face, neck and the surface of my chest then inwards to the sub navel storage centre?

Or is it down right through the centre of my torso into the sub centre?

Hi, I am having trouble with awareness on my legs, mostly the whole limb sponging actions. I find this to be much more difficult than feet and hands which I could do effortlessly without needing to even practice.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Personally I think whether one shares their OBEs is a matter of personal choice and responsibility and not something to be dictated by another party about. I have had them since writing about them so why should anyone else not?

Hi faceless, I moved your topic to "Welcome to Dreams", hope ya don't mind. [^]

I'm not sure I can shed light on your dreams, so hard to do that for others..[:P]

But here goes. In your first one, perhaps the two others were just others parts of yourself, and you are needing to let go of some things in your life, but know that they will always be a part of you.

The second dream....I know exactly what you mean about the emotional feeling staying with you after waking.  This might seem far fetched but that might have been a pastlife recall.  I say that because of  the emotion sticking with you for so long afterwards.

But then I look at it from another angle... the way she died, by suffocation, could also mean that you are feeling suffocated somehow in your life right now, which would kinda tie in with the first dream, of letting something go.

When we go thru life we meet different people and learn our lessons from them, but sometimes there are no more lessons to be learned and we have to move on, now matter how much we want to keep hold of that person, staying with them will only suffocate and keep us from moving down our positive path.

Anyways, that was my opinion..hehehe [:P]

I'd say these "visualization" techniques are one of the major reasons schools to learn this stuff are often discredited, simply because they don't work very well, as described in the NEW. People think visualization is using the 3rd eye in some form more often than not when they start out.

Anyways, here is a sample visualization "class":
G'morning class! Today we'll be working on evergy building! (yay) Ok, everyone calmly get into a comfortable position. Now close your eyes, and visualize your spine is a rod with the ground and tap the energy from there. Breathe in and out as you think about this...in...out.

Now class, I want you to picture a giant pulsing ball in front of you, you can see it through your eyelids and it's quickly flashing blue and white...blue and white. Now grab it and hold onto it...slowly visualize yourself pulling it to your stomach and it's lifting you high in the air as you're doing this...(and so on)

The reasons why I don't like methods like this, is not only are they vague to the beginner, but they build energy too slowly unless you know EXACTLY what you need to do to make something like this work in your mind. If you still want info on these techniques though, I suggest you invest in a cheap meditation book (well I mean cheap as in low quality, there should be quite a few at amazon.com), or look for "Guided Meditation" courses in your area. I wish ya good luck, and don't let my pesky opinions get in your way either! Have fun [8D]

These issues are covered in a number of obe books and also here at the forum in previous threads. Regarding saliva, I would recommend positioning your head a bit diffently until you find a position where it isn't a problem.

With respect to being relaxed, this is very important. There are a number of methods that people use to relax the body. Take a look at past topics here. You can use the search engine to do that. Just type in relaxation and see what you come up with.

Some people also use a binaural beat cd or the Brainwave Generator to assist in helping them get to the proper state. The state you need to reach is the mind-awake/body-asleep state (what Robert Monroe referred to as Focus 10). This is absolutely critical in obe/ap practice.

My suggestion is to read some of the online resources here at the Astral Pulse. Take a look at our File Library under the Resources tab at the top of the page. Also, check over several websites by Robert Bruce and Robert Peterson for free online obe book/advice.

this is if you can't ap but you can easily ap within dreams.  this method works 50% of the time.  Some say to sleep 8 hours then wakeup but personally I am too wide awake, the least sleep to get is atleast 5hours then wakeup wash your face, stay alert for 30mins to an hour (wake up your mind so to speak) then afterwards drop back down to sleep while being alert ie you can do breath awareness and look at the dream images, soon as the images form into a dream snap your awareness into place start starring/observing the objects but don't participate in them cause you know its all fake then all of a sudden it should shut down and you should be in your bed looking through your closed eyelids then SLOWLY crawl out don't force cause it won't work, if it tries to slip back into a dream again and you didn't get out do same procedure ie stare/observe at objects again til it shuts down.  Now if you want your ap's to last longer you have to practice awareness all day so you are aware when you sleep, mysticweb.org describes it well they offer free courses in ap.
