If you keep your body completely still for a half an hour can you trick your body to fall asleep and astral project even if you're not tired? I've got a lot of free time and if it works for people I'd be willing to try it. Haven't had any success yet astral projecting while I sleep so I just wondered if anyone came across a method that they use during the day?

Should I just practice saying mantras all the time and then one time I might just fall asleep and AP or what? I don't get the whole mind awake body asleep thing. They say I shouldn't be tired because that will just make me fall asleep, but then how in the heck do I get my body to sleep? How do I get my body to go to sleep when I'm not tired. Even better, can you just do this while fully awake in meditation? Is there anyone that can just be walking down the street and do this fully awake?

I just don't think that waking up at strange times and messing with my sleep schedule is something I can muster up so is it possible to just will yourself to stay wake while the body goes to sleep? I've heard one method where you keep your arms kinda up and then it will jerk you back awake if you start to fall asleep. Basically is it possible to just will yourself to stay awake and eventually your body will just have to go to sleep? How long would this take? I know it's not healthy but I want to at least AP once so I want to know if it's possible to just remain conscious? I don't have work or any appointments or anything so if I get a little sleep deprived I can handle it. I know it's not healthy and doing it all the time can cause changes to the brain or something but I'm willing to do it at least once or a few tries if it's a way to keep your consciousness from falling asleep while the body sleeps. Basically is there any sure fire way to just "FORCE" astral projection.
