I'm usually against guided meditation videos though I decided to try one tonight/this morning and felt progress.
1:02 AM - 2:40 AM: During my 11th attempt I felt vibrations stronger than any I ever have; it felt apart from my physical body.
The vibrations were coming from my feet, legs, hands, arms and slightly around my hips but no where else.
I decided it was time to attempt "exiting" after a while. I tried to feel a floating sensation but couldn't.
Eventually I started feeling my eyes moving around rapidly and believe I was feeling REM.
I mentally asked my spirit guides/guardian angels to assist my and imagined hold out my arm.
I tried imagining watching myself come out of my body from my physical view and then from the floating view.
I began to focus on exiting to the point of losing focus on relaxing. I was back where I started so I decided to
get up and try again with the video at the beginning.
2:50 AM - 2:57 AM: During my 12th attempt my pet began barking in her sleep right when I started and that's where that failed.
3:00 AM - 4:10 AM: During my 13th attempt I was laying on my left side instead of my back like in the other two. I intended on just
going to sleep with the video on this time but it progressed into nearly exactly the same experience as my 11th. Two
noticeable differences are I did not feel vibrations as strong and I had a difficult time visualizing moving my arms since I
was laying on one. I also tried the rope method after having troubles imagining floating and teleporting.
A few things I want to know:
Whilst attempting I felt my heart beating and I was fully aware of my breathing pattern as well as swallowing and moving
my tongue when doing so. I have read forum posts stating that I should become unaware and do all of this without
directing any conscious effort towards these.
Regarding my 11th attempt on line 4; were my other parts not relaxed enough to feel vibrations?
