Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Using Tools
August 14, 2014, 21:59:54
Hey all!

So about a month or so ago I was reading about someone who wanted to know if they should purchase a device that was said to help people Astral Project easier. I thought to myself, can't we "create" these tools ourselves? For example, if I were to choose a personal object of mine, such as the small statuette I bought on a trip of a bird, could I theoretically use this object to AP? If I were to theoretically pour my intent and faith into this object, that focusing on it would allow me to AP,...couldn't it help? Almost like a magic spell that you make up in your head. A few months ago, I can't remember when exactly, I started telling myself at night that I'd have good dreams and since then I haven't had a single nightmare. Is it possible to train the mind into thinking that an object can help us achieve AP, and therefore actually trigger an AP? Just a random thought.

Thanks!

Hello everyone. Earlier I made a post about an experience I had with binaural beats earlier today. I'm 99% sure that it's unrelated, but I felt the need to ask. Long story short, I've had a virus recently and an hour ago my urine turned red and filled with blood. My doctor on call believes that it's just that my virus has spread to my kidneys/bladder. I'm having an ultrasound and blood tests done tomorrow morning. My question is, the binaural beats could not have caused this damage, correct? I'm sure it's a preexisting issue or something as a result from the virus, but I felt the need to ask. Is it important to bring up the use of beats with my doctor?

Thank you very much. I hope this is nothing serious.

Hello everyone! I just had a very wacky experience that makes me not so inclined to attempt to have an experience again.

I haven't attempted to project in a few weeks, and I thought that I should give it another shot today. I plugged in my headphones and began listening to the one hour binaural beats soundtrack that I usually listen to. I began my meditation and relaxation exercises at 1:24 pm. I know this because I always make note of when I start and end. I performed a very simple relaxation technique that involves tightening and relaxing the limbs while passing a ball of energy and light throughout the body. At about twelve minutes in, I got vibrations and visual hallucinations such as colors and repeating images, as I usually do. And then, everything after I do not remember.

What I DO remember....is "Waking up" in my bed with the beats sounding very loud in my ears. I was sweating, felt feverish, and was very very dizzy. I don't recall waking up, but rather the minutes AFTER waking up. It's very blurry looking back on it. I took of the headphones, and for some reason, I can't quite remember why, but I put them back on for a second. The sound continued coming from the headphones. Seemingly disturbed by this, I remember putting them back down. It was then when I really gained lucidity. I looked at the clock. 3:05. I thought to myself, oh I just fell asleep. Well, I realized, it wouldn't have been possible for the beats to still have been playing. Upon regaining lucidity I felt very off balance and nauseous.

I rushed downstairs to the bathroom, and after feeling better, I realized I was alone in the house. On my laptop was a note that said that my mother and brother had gone to the pool. Now, knowing my mother she probably came into my room and tried to wake me up to let me know that she was going. She always does. I'll have to ask her if she tried before she left when she gets back.

I'm very shook up, quite confused, and not feeling well at all. What the hell just happened?

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Rumbling
July 18, 2014, 11:54:37
Hello everyone!

So I have read and noticed that when I try to have an astral projection experience or meditate, that I hear a rumbling sound. This sound has been compared, and is the same rumbling sound, as the one we hear when we yawn if I am correct. I also believe it has something to do with the pineal gland(?). I've also found that I can make the rumbling occur by closing my eyes and focusing on the region in the center of my head between my temples. Could this aid me in any way? for AP?

Edit: when I say I can make it happen, I don't just mean through meditation. I can do this at free will at any time.

Good morning everyone! I made a post a little while ago about how I believe that there is/are prescence(s) in my home. Well last night I was having some very strange feelings. My room happens to be the room with the most activity(yay me). The attic is located above my room, and last night I could very clearly hear children running around and playing last night. I've been watching American Horror Story, so I disregarded this as hallucinations and went to bed.

When I woke up, I went downstairs and got ready for work. My mom came downstairs and said she was tormented by nightmares last night. She told me bits and pieces. She said that she saw children running around the house and she and I chased them. My mother then heard them running around in the attic. She went up and saw them playing, as she described, "bloody games". She said they were covered in blood and didn't want to talk more about the subject.

Part of what also scared me was that when she came down from the attic and then back into my room, she saw red marks on the walls of some language similar to hieroglyphics. And there was a large black cave entrance where my crawl space usually is. This scared me because I had that exact dream of my room about a year ago.

Hm. What could these mean?

As a child, my mom had the same dream once every few weeks and now she only gets it once in awhile. I've tried to find interpretations but I haven't been able to find one. I know it doesn't matter, but I was curious to see what experts had to say about it. It's quite peculiar.

It's very brief. My mother wakes up in the house from her childhood. She looks for her parents and sisters but no one is at home. She steps outside to look for anyone but no one can be found. Suddenly she hears a sound. She looks at the chimney and out comes a black cat with yellow eyes that has six legs. It walks across the roof and as it does it is wobbling back and forth, three right feet and three left feet. As it does this, it says"working working working" over and over again. She then wakes up.

I find it very very intriguing. What do y'all think?

Hello everyone! I'm not quite sure if this is in the right section, but I felt that it would be appropriate to put this topic here. I have hinted at and spoken briefly about the "hypnagogic hallucinations" that I had for many years up until about two years ago. I wanted to talk a little bit about them, and hear your thoughts. I put hypnagogic hallucinations in quotes because it was merely a label that a therapist I used to see put on them, and it seemed to make sense. However, I'm not even quite sure if they really were hallucinations. I'll never know for sure, but I'd like to share.

Ever since I was very young, I've had almost every kind of sleep problem possible from sleep walking to night terrors to hallucinations/Sleep paralysis. They've grown a lot better in recent years, but about five years ago I began having very unique and very vivid hallucinations. The first experience was very memorable. It was a very stormy night, and my little brother was too afraid to sleep in his own room so we brought his mattress into my room for the night. I fell asleep quickly, and I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. When I sat up, I saw my brother standing outside of my closet and he was staring at me. He looked very gray, but then again, it was dark. I called out to him but he didn't answer. I turned on the lights and the image was gone, and he was actually still in bed. Now, THAT experience I am fairly sure is a hypnagogic one because it occurred directly after awakening.

Things changed very rapidly. First of all, that was the only time for the next three years until the hallucinations stopped that I would ever hallucinate someone that I had known or seen before. Everyone after the image of my brother was someone who I had NEVER ever seen before. People of all races, ages, gender etc. What they all shared in common was that they all were composed of shades of gray, and when they walked it almost was like watching a flipbook. Their image would shutter and flicker like a candle. It wasn't fluid. But the thing is, this wasn't always after waking up or going to bed. Sometimes it was during the day, but most of the time in a dark room. Sometimes they would try to speak to me, but I could not hear them. They would linger for quite a few minutes if I didn't run out of the room immediately. Sometimes even after I turned on my lights they would still be there, and they remained after I blinked several times or left the room and came back. This is why I somewhat doubt the whole hypnagogic hallucination ideas.

So anyway, after awhile the people in my room began to grow more sinister and would often be carrying a weapon or sharp object like a knife. That's when I went into therapy. Oh, I also had three sleep studies that were all inconclusive. The therapist couldn't really figure things out, but he taught me how to meditate which helped a bit. There was only one time where I ever heard one of them speak. I woke up one night to the feeling of being shook and a small girl saying "Wake up (my name), Wake up!". I looked around my room and saw nothing. I then lied back down and when I looked up there was a man with a mask and two daggers hanging from my ceiling. He dropped on me and I screamed until my parents came into my room and turned on the lights. Sometimes the people I saw were recurrent, and would come back once in awhile.

The funny thing is, my allergist out of all people recommended that I try taking Melatonin. After taking it regularly for a few months, I never had hallucinations again. I wonder if it was a placebo effect or not, but I don't mind not having these disturbances. What do you guys think?

Hello everyone! Yet again, another post with more questions. I can hear you all now, "Go away!"  :-P

So my latest question stems from reading forum post after forum post to learn about others experiences out of curiosity. Well, as the saying goes, curiosity killed the cat. I've been reading more and more about these dark entities that appear when one first leaves the body due to either conscious or subconscious fear. Now, on the surface, I know that these beings cannot hurt me in any way whether they are creations of the mind or not, but I am concerned that my subconscious is still worried about this. I would, of course, rather not encounter anything after leaving my body for the first time.

What can I do, if anything, to prevent this kind of thing from happening? I'm not a negative person, so that should help. I've heard people talk about creating "barriers". How do you do that? Thanks.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / What's "Real"
July 09, 2014, 00:31:00
Hello everyone! So the purpose of this thread is to create a discussion because I am eager to hear the opinions of others. Now, before those of you who like to comment things like "Don't judge off of others, have your own experience" comment that, I am letting those of you know that I understand that but I am looking to listen and learn from what others think. Since I have not experienced a conscious OBE or astral projection myself, I cannot help but have smalls shreds of doubt even though I truly believe in the validity of astral projection. From what I have read and observed, there seem to be three very different prevailing beliefs about AP.

The first of which, is the in my opinion a very narrow belief; astral projection is not possible and does not exist in any form. Sadly, if you venture past this forum, the vast majority of the population has completely disregarded the existence of astral projection. I'm going to assume that no active member of the forum follow this train of thought. Now, I have seen less extreme claims made by those who have experienced conscious OBEs and astral projections. Their claim is that they believe that everything we experience in the "Astral" is just an expansion upon a very vivid, lucid dream. I do not completely disregard this theory entirely. I know people have had validations while projecting, which uproots this theory, but in some ways it still makes SOME sense.

The second is more of a middle ground. There are those who have had astral experiences and recognize that there is more than just a waking reality. These people recognize that most of what they encounter in the non-physical are manifestations of our subconscious. For example, a perceived demon is simply a manifestation of fear, and not a "real entity". However, there are from what we have observed beings that exist outside of our own manifestations. Such as spirit guides (possibly?). It's a lot to wrap my brain around. I'm more of a middle ground believer.

The third are what I call extremists. Now, my intention is not to come off as offensive, and I really hope that I do not offend anyone. I've seen a lot of projectors who either strongly believe in projection and call it the work of the "Devil", and then there are those who believe in things like crystals etc. Now, I don't really know much about crystals and things like that, but to me it seems a bit far fetched. I can't really wrap my head around the idea of crystals that have energy. What are the origins? I don't want to sound dismissive, but I'm really just more curious. Back to the idea of "Satan" though. I've seen lots of people claim that those who try and promote astral projection are in fact possessed by demons. Well, I'm not a demon...so....

Anyway, the point of this thread if I have not made it clear already (I'm not wonderful at expressing my thoughts into typed words) is that I want to hear your opinions of what you believe is real, and what is reality. I'm somewhat split down the middle. I mostly believe that there is a non-physical that we enter when we sleep etc, but a small part of me also believes that what we experience is really just a part of the mind that we don't comprehend entirely. That what we experience in the non-physical are very elaborate figments of our subconscious. Of course, astral validations make that theory invalid, so I'm not sure. I look forward to reading your responses!

Hey all!

So I've heard talk about a 3D blackness sort of void. From what I have gathered, it is the area in between the physical and astral realms, correct me if I'm wrong. I've also heard people call it the "training ground". What is the 3D blackness? What is it composed of? Why has it been coined a "training ground"? How do you end up there? How do you get out, and into the astral? I would like to learn more about it.

Hello everyone! I noticed that there is a paranormal section of the forums, and I wanted to share a few experiences that I have had. The house that I moved into six years ago has always seemed somewhat "haunted" to myself, friends, and family members. I thought I'd post a few "happenings" here.

Within the first year that we moved in, three very large things happened. The first of which occurred outside. I was playing basketball with my brother and neighbors and we dropped the ball. It rolled into my garage and bounced against the laundry room door. I went inside of the garage to retrieve it. I chased the ball up to the door, and it bounced against the door two times. I picked it up and was about to return outside when I heard two resounding knocks coming from the other side of the door. We were home alone during the time of the incidence, and I called my friends and brother into the garage. My brother knocked on the laundry room door three times, and after waiting a moment, there came three very loud knocks. We all ran out of the garage, and to assure everyone that the noises were just from the washing machine, my neighbor went inside and down into the laundry room. (The door is locked, that's why we didn't open it). After entering he told us he didn't feel alone. We knocked on the door three more times, and my neighbor looked around, saw nothing, but heard three knocks right next to him. We all stayed outside until my parents returned home.

A few months after that, at around 3:00 in the morning, I got up to use our bathroom. Our upstairs consists of a hexagon hallway, with doors on each available side. There is a large chandelier that we used to keep on during the night so that my brother and I would have a sort of "night light". I walked out into the hallway, and saw my dog sitting at the top of the stairs. I heard my brother moving around in his bed, so I opened the door. He had just woken up too. When we turned around my parents were both in the hallway too. Something had woken us all up at the same time. If this wasn't freaky enough, my dog began to growl down into the darkness at the bottom of the stairs. Shortly after, he ran downstairs. Then, the light went out and we were all in the darkness. After that I had sleeping problems for a long time.

And THEN, one day later that year when I was home alone, something very scary happened. I was sitting in the kitchen, and I heard the sound of breaking glass from my basement. I assumed there was a robber, and I leashed up my dog and headed for the back door. As I was doing this, I heard pounding footsteps coming up the stairs. Then I saw the doorknob turning fiercely back and forth. That door was locked, so I took my dog and ran outside. I called my mom and she rushed home. (She was with my brother a few blocks away). When we all went inside, the basement door was thrown open, the locks broken, and yet all the basement windows were intact. We found no intruders, and no sign of a break in.

Everything calmed down after that, but two more weird incidents occurred this year. The first of which, happened in the morning. I have a window in my room that doesn't have a screen, so I keep it locked all of the time so bees don't come in. I got up one morning, went downstairs to eat breakfast, and my mom came downstairs and yelled at me for leaving the window with no screen open. Alarmed, I went upstairs to find that my closet door was thrown wide open, and so was the window with no screen. That really freaked me out.

The last thing that happened was when my mom was home alone a month ago. She works from home, so she is always there all day. She passed by the stairs and saw a light coming from my room. She went upstairs to turn it off, and right as she did, all the doors upstairs slammed shut. It was very cold out, so all of the windows were closed.

What do you guys think? I find it interesting, but quite horrifying. I think after six years we don't really have much to worry about.

Hey all! I recently sent a letter to someone about an experience I had the other day, but I wanted to get some more opinions. I'll post what I sent here.

Just a few minutes ago I did my second Astral Projection attempt of the day. I lied down on my bed as I normally do in a comfortable position. After doing that, I repeated my mantra to myself "I am astral projecting. I am completely safe..etc etc". I've been reciting that mantra in my head, and verbally for the past few days. Next, I plugged in my headphones and began listening to a theta wave binaural beat that someone recommended from Youtube. I haven't experimented much with these, but I've heard that they may help (And I think it did).

After I got settled in, I did my regular meditation technique, and became very relaxed. Shortly after falling into a trance state, my body began to vibrate. Normally I get very strong vibrations in my arms and legs. My first concern is that I never really experience any vibrations above my neck. Is that a problem? Anyway, it seems that each time I enter a trance state I see a different visual each time. Today's visual was very interesting. The background was just a single color, starting off deep blue, and it would shift to pink, red, etc almost like a lava lamp but only one color at a time. On top of the background colors, was a very strange sight. I saw what looked like a completely black, very large, house centipede with hundreds of legs. The centipede kept walking in a spiral into what seemed infinity, neverending. I'm very afraid of house centipedes (I'm a wimp I know  ) but I told myself not to let it bother me. Soon after, these images kept on going but I noticed that a single eye would appear occasionally in the center of my view. The eye looked quite angry, and it scared me briefly but I kept going.

Oh! I forgot to mention. Before any of the following in the last paragraph occurred, I felt a falling sensation and for the first time I managed to keep my eyes closed. Horray!

Anyway, now for the WEIRD part. I still cannot tell if I was actually partially out of body, but the following happened: I could tell that "just relaxing" wasn't exactly getting me anywhere. So, I tried lifting my "Astral arms". To my surprise, I felt my arms move up and they vibrated more intensely than I have ever felt before. And I can't be sure, but I believe in the back of my mind I also could still feel my physical arms lying on the bed. I can't be completely sure, but my arms may have gotten out. Anyway, while this was happening, my head was still lying on the bed, and I was still just seeing the centipede color configuration. As much as I tried, I couldn't get my head up. I eventually tried thrusting my head up, but then I just woke up.

So here are my questions. Sorry this is such a mouthful:

1. Is it possible my arms were out? I cannot be quite entirely sure, as I couldn't see. (Only colors and such)

2. I can never actually see my room or "open my third eye", I only see patterns and colors if anything at all. How can I open my astral eyes without opening my real eyes and waking up?

3. What do you think of this experience? Is it progress?

Thank you so very much for all of your help. I think I may be close!

Hey all!

During my regular daily meditation I experienced one of the weirdest sensations I have ever had. To start off, I had a series of three sets of vibrations on and off. (This normally happens each time). As this is happening, I begin to feel that something is very wrong. The only way I can describe it is like a scene at a magic show where they "cut" a contestant in half and separate their legs from their upper body. My legs were vibrating and I could feel them lying straight on the left side of my bed, while my upper body was vibrating and lying straight on the right side of my bed. They felt very far apart, yet I felt no pain, and it was quite pleasant. I remained relaxed, and eventually this subsided. I got up like usual because my meditations haven't lead to anything out of body yet. I feel completely fine now. Thoughts?

Hey all!

After practicing each day for the past two weeks, I have made a little bit of progress. My reports are a bit scattered throughout the forum, so I just wanted to compile a basic summary here. So far, it would appear that I have become very good at reaching a deep trance state. When I had very invasive sleep problems as a child my parents took me to a therapist who taught me different ways to practice meditation. This never really helped my issues sadly, but my sessions did give me a lot of practice with meditation from a young age. Anyway, after meditating each day I have reached a point where I can completely tune out everything around me.

For example, the other day as I was meditating my landline phone rang (which happened to be in the room adjacent to mine) and it's very loud. After that happened, one of my parents came home and slammed the door. I heard neither of these things, and only learned about them when I came downstairs after to find a message on my recorder that had come in just minutes before I came downstairs and my mom had just come in.

I've experienced different sensations each time that I meditate. Sometimes I see colors, and other times I feel vibrations. Other times I hear and see nothing but I feel like there is a lead blanket on my chest. I have yet to have a conscious projection. When I'm in a trance state I stay for what feels like about ten minutes but I'm usually "under" for an hour. After trying different exit techniques, trying nothing, reveling in the sensations and such, I still have yet to make any projection progress. I guess I will keep trying each day as I normally do, and continue my affirmations.

Hey all!

So I was just wondering if anyone here has used binaural beats. Are they effective? How does one "use" them? I understand that you play them in the background, and I have some, but do you pay attention to them etc?
#16
Hey all!

So just now I practiced my daily meditation/AP attempt after coming home from work. I run through my relaxation techniques and completely relax my body. I find this very easy to do after a long day of work. After doing my relaxation stuff, I begin to feel the "lead blanket" sensations as well as vibrations. Not long after I see a mix of shadows and colors through my closed eyes. So now I think to myself Alright, one of the guides/suggestions I read said to watch these things go by and let them happen. After doing that for a few minutes, the sensations faded and I was just back in my relaxed state.

I decided to wait a bit and see if the sensations would come back. And sure enough, they did a few minutes later. After they came back I thought to myself Well, why don't I try a method now like the rope method. And as I tried the rope method I began to actually feel myself rocking back and forth like I would as if I were actually climbing a rope. After doing this for about a minute, the vibrations intensified and then ultimately dissipated like my first attempt. I ended the relaxation/meditation and got up. I felt like I had just woken up, but I know I wasn't asleep. Hmm...

What am I doing wrong, or what could I be doing differently? Should I continue doing this every day as I have, because it seems to work better and better every day?

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Mirrors
June 30, 2014, 23:56:16
Hey all!

Why do many sites and books say not to look at mirrors while astral projecting? If you have before, what did you see? I find it a bit strange that people would give this precaution.

Hello everyone!

I recently made a post about not being able to relax (Even though the following events just happened I could still use some tips), and decided that I'd give my relaxation techniques another go today. I was lying in my bed, and I began my deep breathing and meditation. I had a very strong intent to astral project. After a few minutes, I had a falling sensation but I ignored it. A few more followed, and then my foot jerked involuntarily a few times. In my head I thought to myself No no, you aren't going to stop me. And then I felt a very weird sensation. I've had vibrations before, and this time I felt very sharp and prickly vibrations all around my neck. It was a bit uncomfortable, but I continued.

Eventually, what happened was I saw a light in the center of my vision, and there was a rainbow all around the outside of it. It began to go in circles around my field of view, and I had vibrations that pulsed along with the beat and movements of the dancing light. It was quite trippy. And for some reason, maybe I still didn't feel ready, I felt uncomfortable and I got myself up. Maybe I still have some fears lying around. I regret stopping  :-(

Hey all.

So now that I've had the chance to really sit down and learn about astral projection, I have reached a point where I no longer have any fear and I feel confident. The only problem is, I have never been good with relaxing and sleeping. I've had so many sleep issues in the past, and each night it can take me up to an hour to fall asleep. I meditate once or twice a day now, and keep a dream journal. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what may make projecting more possible for me? The real issue now is that I can meditate for a long time, relax my body, but I never reach a vibrational state (I know you don't have to) or feel any separation. I'm such a bad sleeper that I never even fall asleep when meditating. I've tried once or twice in the morning after waking up, but I lose focus very quickly. Does anyone have any advice for me? I feel like once I can reach a hypnagogic state I will very easily be able to project. Thanks!

Hey all!

I know I've been asking a lot of questions lately. I have just finished reading Frank's explanations about phasing. My question is, since focus 3 is considered the "Transitional Phase", and it is generally where those who have passed on go, what happens when we phase there? Is there a danger of being trapped since it is generally a place for those who are now considered dead? Also-- as a sidenote, what does focus 3 look like to us? What about focus 4, is there a danger of being trapped there? It seems logical to me that if we travel to a place where we are not necessarily meant to be yet that we could be stuck.

Hey everyone!

So I understand that part of us ventures into the non-physical while we sleep. My question is, do we know why? What causes part of us to consciously, or subconsciously, do that? Why do we astral project each night? Thanks! If I'm not being clear, just let me know.
#22
Hey everyone!

So I wasn't sure which section to put this in. I'm getting very confused about a couple of different things. I'm finding a bit of contradicting posts everywhere I go about different terms. Is there a stickie that I am overlooking that discusses the different planes? I'm hearing a lot of people talk about the RTZ, which as I understand it is the Real Time Zone...? Other than that, what are the other planes and how does one access them? I'm very lost  :? Where are we right when we exit our bodies?

If I'm not being clear please let me know, I'm not wonderful when it comes to getting my point across when writing.

Hey everyone!

In an earlier post I made on the Astral Experiences tab, I mentioned using melatonin once in awhile for sleep issues that I have. Whenever I take it, I have very intense and vivid dreams. Because of this, I only take it when I really need it. (I tend to have nightmares when I take it). What I was wondering, was if anyone knows if it is conducive to AP? I wouldn't take it for the sole purpose of achieving AP since I have read that it can stunt growth if you use it too often. Also, I've read that using drugs to obtain AP is not recommended(Even though this is a natural hormone tablet). Opinions?

Hello everyone!

So last summer when I first began trying to Astral Project, I had two very strange experiences. I haven't tried so hard since then, and I've recently started trying again so my memory was jogged. Here are the two experiences. Each were on different days and at different times. I'm not sure what to make of them. I'm fairly sure they both were not OBEs.

The first one happened while I was downstairs on my couch meditating. I had gone in with the intention of astral projecting to meet my spirit guide. Once I became very relaxed, nothing was happening. I tend to get vibrations and sleep paralysis often, but this time it did not happen. What was even stranger was that I could sort of see through my closed eyes. Everything was in different shades of gray. The room was the same, it was just in dull color. However, what peaked my interest was the fact that I saw a tall girl in a long white night gown standing over me. Her hair was black and covered her face. (Her head was down). She somewhat startled me, and I figured I wasn't succeeding anyway, so I opened my eyes to find that she was gone.

I have reason to doubt that she is my spirit guide because for one thing she gave off no vibes to me. To her, I wouldn't be surprised if she neglected to even see that I was there. She just stood still. Second of all, I have a history of hypnagogic hallucinations. Ever since I was about 12(I'm 16 now), as I fall asleep sometimes I'll see people in my room who I have never seen before in my life. They are always comprised of different shades of gray, and when they move the image is almost like a flip-book. They flicker like a candle, and move slowly. After I began to see people with weapons and menacing faces, I took melatonin, a natural sleep hormone that doctors predicted I was not getting enough of. Now I rarely get these hallucinations, but it still happens.

Now for the second experience. I was lying on my bed, and I was going through some before bed meditation to calm my body after a long day of work. After I became very calm, everything fell very silent. I was focusing on my breathing when all of the sudden I heard what sounded like the screeching of tires, and then a huge crash. The sound was so loud that I jolted up, and ran to my window only to discover that there  had been no accident at all. Could this have been an auditory hallucination?

Thanks.

Hello everyone!

After doing some more research about Astral Projection, I've noticed that there are a lot of discrepancies when it comes to fear. Some say that so long as you are positive, that you have nothing to fear. On the other hand, some say you must take supreme caution when performing a projection. My question is, what do we really have to fear? I haven't had a successful AP yet, and I'd like to know what I'm getting into  :-P

Thanks again!

Hello everyone!

I'm new to the astral pulse community. I have been reading up on Astral Projection for just over a year now. As a child I experienced a plethora of sleep issues, including sleep paralysis. After researching sleep paralysis I stumbled upon AP. Now, I have a huge amount of questions to ask, and I was wondering if someone would be willing to pm me back and forth and answer them. There are too many to list here haha. Thanks!
