I am new to Astral Projection and so far most sources Ive read and listened to said that falling asleep is not what I want to happen. Now this is problematic as I suffer from chronic fatigue which I think is brought on from constant stress. Also sleep apnea but I have a CPAP now. I want to experience an out of body experience but my body does need sleep to regenerate. Even though I have a CPAP now I still wake up many times a night. Working on this technically but if there is any suggestions towards something more metaphysical, I am interested.

My question is this. Can I astral project and leave my body sleep?

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Abbreviations

I was wondering if there was a comprehensive list of the common abbreviations used by those familiar with altered states of consciousness and Out of Body Experiences?

Was reading a post and it had terms like NP Focus, SP, F 23, F 27, BST. Tried to discern by context but that was difficult being new to all this and not having a frame of reference.

If there isn't one I think we should start one :)

I need some advice on APing, I have tried but don't seem to get there. I have some pretty big problems with sleep, it seems like I can only sleep once my body and mind are tired enough to just click off. Otherwise I lie awake with my brain just trekking away on some idea, notion, or just rehashing the day's events. I actually have a sleep study coming up in less then a week and may get some answers then but I would like to know if anyone has a method of AP for my situation.

I believe I have experienced my mind awake with my body asleep on many occasion. I don't think I was deep enough into sleep but I was dreaming. Kind of like a more vivid day dream. Sometimes it seems like I am watching an episode of my favorite show only to have it disappear once I open my eyes. I wake up several times a night, or rather day as my sleep has become inverted.

Difficult to get my mind to quite, many thoughts all branching to many more. I might have ADD, I should look into that.

I normally get discouraged very easily but so far I am remaining strong on AP. I want to believe. Any advice for my situation would be appreciated :-)

Hi I'm Jonathan. I am relatively new to the concept of Astral Projection and hope to one day get out. I have loads of questions to ask. In which forum category do I post about AP?
