All of my experiences (which are not many in number btw) have only lasted for less than a minute, and I have not been able to sustain them any longer as I tend to return to my physical body. I am getting curious as to whether it is possible to train myself over time and make them hold for a longer time.

I'd like to know how long your OOBE experiences last. Is it possible to stay non-physical through the entire night? If they aren't at least and hour long, it wouldn't really be possible to explore other dimensions in depth, if I'm not wrong.

Thanks.

Here's mine:

Just because creation exists, we tend to search for a creator. But creation can exist without a creator.

I believe that the entire outlook of God is quite misplaced. Growing up as children, we always had someone to look up to, somebody to shelter under. We even had teddy-bears or so, as companions when we felt alone. I say God is none other than such a teddy-bear figure for the grown-up. Something that helps us hold on through testing times.

However, I don't outrightly claim that the Gods we know never existed. I am only arguing regarding the meaning we have attached to this label "God" - the supreme creator, the source of all beings, etc.
I'd at most call the "Gods" we know, as "demi-gods". They have existed at a point in time. They probably still do (since they are most likely beyond our physical dimensions). But these demi-gods, as the name suggests, are not the end destination. They have helped raise our awareness. But we mistakenly began worshipping them instead.

So what is the end destination then? I don't think there is any. I believe creation just is. There's nothing more, nothing less. A false sense of "I" is built up within us. This sense of identification brings in duality. Only upon digging deeper into the question "Who am I?", we find answers to everything.

There's so much more to elaborate upon this. But there's a book out there that does a far better job at this (if you ever wanna check it out) - The Teachings of Ramana Maharishi. I'd call it "The only book you need to read if you're searching for the meaning of life." It delves into a very deeply rooted concept of existence, something we might find really hard to grasp at first since we have always clung to our egos throughout our lives. But if you even get the slightest hint of what's explained, your whole perspective undergoes a shift.

Hi.
I am a Hindu. I am a strong believer in religion and spirituality. I have great faith in Hinduism since it is very close to spirituality. The various practices undertaken in our religion have been scientifically proven to have greater meaning and reason behind them. There are so many other reasons why I take my religion seriously. Now coming to the point: So there's this God/Higher Being (I generally don't use the term God as that brings in a concept of an ultimate entity that we must pray to etc etc- which is not true - or atleast I don't believe so) called Lord Hanuman (the 'god' with the monkey face) whom I greatly believe, pray and have faith in. So I had happened to come across and stumble upon an important resource. I had never went looking for it, I'd like to use the term 'synchronicity' here.
Anyway, there is a community in Sri Lanka (a tribal one) known as the Mathangs, whom the Lord visits regularly (every 41 years) [Note: Hanuman is called 'Chiranjeevi' or 'The Immortal One' -> more on this is expanded on the webiste]. There is an organisation at the foothills of the mountains in which these tribes reside at. This organisation is in contact with the mathangs and are currently decrypting the logs that hold information about the Hanuman's visits. At the moment, they have released 19 Chapters that talk about the visits.

Before I continue, I'd like to let you know that I'm not a blind follower of my religion. I still am skeptic at times. I once was an atheist too. But over time, my experiences have led me onto this path.
I state, "The contents that you will find on this website (->will be listed at the bottom) are very legit." I urge you to trust my words (-not waste time trying to figure if it's true) and look into the articles. You will find transcendental knowledge without any adulteration.
The first two chapters may seem dry but continue on.
As a matter-of-fact, Astral Projection has also been discussed in Chapter 5!

http://www.setuu.org/

Stuff you need to know about Hindu Gods which would help you with understanding the chapters:
Three Supreme dieties: Lord Brahma the Creator, Lord Vishnu the Preserver and Lord Shiva the Destroyer.
Lord Vishnu takes a total of ten Incarnations in which he ends evil everytime. His 8th avatar was Lord Ram whose greatest Devotee is Lord Hanuman. (His 9th was Lord Krishna and his 10th Lord Kalki is yet to come).
Maanav loka refers to the "Human world" or Earth. Vishnu Lok -> Vishnu's world or "heaven" etc
There's more to cover, but I'm sure Google can help you with that

P.S.  I'm not promoting my religion here. Please dontdoget me wrong. There were some intriguing stuff that I came across. Such as concept of parallel dimensions (in 1st chapter), Astral projection (in the 5th), difference in perception of reality by different beings (in 7th), etc
Just try to grasp the crux of the chapters. Chuck the gods and religious stuff out of the way

Welcome to Astral Chat! / And Then What?

Hello all.
I've had this fear for a long while. It grows from a question of mine. I got this when I was really young, and it's still puzzling. Everytime I think about it, I get this deep fear of my very existence ( be it physical or any other form).
The question is very abstract. Please try to feel the question, feel it rather than trying to understand the words with your mind. I'm not confident that I might be able to recreate the same feeling/fear within you as well (like mine), . I hope I do.

So, all of us have an explanation of life. Be it multiple births and concept of karma, or quest to find God for moksha/nirvana, or your pursuit towards knowledge on the workings of the universe etc. My question is not specific to any of these. It can be applied to all cases.

My question is, who are we? Where are we? What is all this? You may say we are spiritual beings having a human experience. You may say we are points of consciousness stuck in the illusionary physical matrix. But no matter what your answer is, I repeat my question: "what is this? What the heck going on?" I am going beyond your answer. Repeating the question. If you have another answer, then I repeat question. " How does this all end?" You could say (as the Hindus would) "You'd reach the muktisagar" or alternatively "You'd reach oneness and then it's all just consciousness without any form. Just being" but again "And then what?, .... And then what? .... And then again..."

It's too hard to put this in words. It's an emotion.
What is all this birth-rebirth and moksha?
What is ALL OF THIS?? as I keep thinking about it I end up feeling a lot of fear because it feels like I am stuck in this infinite looping game. (Even if it does end, what the hell is this so called "end"? What's after that?) I am trying to recreate my feeling as closely as possible in words. I hope you can understand.
Thanllk you.

Month of February, 2015
It was the final year of my high school, and I had my annual exams the next month. In my country, the peer pressure is quite intense and expectations are very high. Failure of a subject is never a choice. In contrast, I was more of a slacker. I kept failing many examinations and had never studied well. All of this piled up and I had an immense amount of the syllabus left to study.
The pressure was on. Emotions were running high in my family. Soon, it was the night before the dreaded mathematics exam. I hadn't slept the previous night at all. I greatly feared a failure the next day. My eyes were drooping, my brain was banging against my skull. It was 2:30 am. I was tired - very, very. I could not just give up and go to bed like I usually do. These exams would decide the course of my life. But I had to take a nap.
I switched off all the lights. Set my bed. Laid down. It was late in the night. Dark and silent, with my AC humming above me. I closed my eyes. My brain was so weak, after all those stupid formulas. I observe myself. I watch it patiently. I could feel it. My body had begun to slip away in deeeep trance. I was drifting off. I pulled myself back again. And again, I was slipping away.
In the distant background, I heard a moderately loud police siren.     SNAP!     There's a 'thunderstorm'. Deep, loud thunders from high up the sky, roaring, and heavy rainfall behind my closed windows. Suddenly, there's this force that is holding me by the feet and spinning me around like a ball tied to a thread. I was spinning under great velocities. Oh god, i felt like an astronaut taking off in a rocket. And in a fraction of a second, I split from my body.
Nothing much had happened next. I soon came back to my body, and was rejoiced by what had happened. To my surprise, there was no rainfall at all. No thunderstorm or anything of that sort!

Hi.
I'm able to generate 'shivers' through my body at will (for a second or so). I once read something regarding this.
I'm just wondering, can this be used to achieve AP or LD?
Or anything of that sort

Thanks.

Today, I successfully got past the vibes and separated. I flew up slowly. I didn't have a vision yet. As I was flying, after a few seconds I was back in my body with another set of vibes. This didn't happen suddenly like a SNAP! But it was very gradual hence I didn't realise I was back in my body until I got the vibes again. This has happened twice before. I can't understand how to stay out of body. I thought of focusing on something Non physical, but I don't get any vision.
Either this happens or I end up in a Lucid Dream...

Hi.
I've had about 4-5 OOBEs in the past one year since I began practising. But none of them felt 'clear'. It felt more like a dream-state consciousness. They were very vague. Firstly, most of the time they lacked vision. Once the vision set in, it seems like I slip into a lucid dream (because, again, it doesnt feel like how I expect an AP to be). I expect an AP to feel like the regular physical reality consciousness or a super consciousness (as in be perceptive to something beyond the five senses.
Do you guys feel the same way, or does it get better with time?
When I separate out of the body, I wish to turn around and see myself and my room clearly. When I wish to see my friend (while OOB), I would to be able to do that, and see what he's actually (really) doing then like the way I read in others posts/experiences.
Are all these possible?

Hi guys! So I stumbled upon this new social media platform that is going to be launched soon in another month or so. It's aimed at bringing all alternative communities together. Miramir also seeks to spread news articles and other information via its network that are otherwise blocked or censored by the big guys like Google and Facebook. Uncensored news is what free-thinking individuals want, but you won't find much of it on Facebook, which holds a tight leash on information that might threaten the establishment or control grid apparatus.

"This is an invitation to all amazers and creators, mavericks and dreamers, the kindness doers and changemakers, all the good people of our magnificent earth to take part in a global movement for change and freedom," explains the Miramir Kickstarter page.

Content on Miramir is easily managed, much like the current Facebook format, except that users can post and share articles and information anonymously if they choose. Users are also encouraged to form subgroups based on subjects and topics of mutual interest to better organize the flow of information throughout the site.

"If you want to live in a world filled with good, with love, and with kindness. A world of peace, compassion, and unity. Then join us in launching the most powerful alternative social network and portal in the world. It's a huge project that is going to change the course of free flowing information, and we want you to be a part of it."

So here's the link: http://miramir.com/?ref=7645799

Have fun!

What is your opinion?
IMO, i feel we are not supposed to intervene. The suffering is present for a purpose. It is probably due to some karmic imbalance. By killing the person you are not ending the trouble but are merely postponing it.

Now, I've recently had two experiences. AP's. I've already talked about one in one the posts here in Astral Pulse. The experiences have been very confusing.
So i was relaxing and inducing Mind awake, body asleep state... which i did successfully. My mind was pretty awake as i was listening to my grandparents talking, yet my body was asleep. And then the separation had occurred. Immediately i was dragged into an involuntary flight. I was flying to some random place. After i stopped, i willed myself to a friends place. I did this so that i could note some details and inturn prove to my friend that i Astral Projected successfully (like noting the color of his dress and later calling him to check it). But when i arrived there, the whole place looked different. His house was different. My brother was in his house!! It seemed like a dream! I don't understand why this is happening. There were many other things which didn't coincide with the real life situation.

After 10 months since I started, I had  my first successful separation/ projection a few days ago, or that's what I thought. This is what happened.

It was afternoon and I got into bed, hoping to project. I placed a strong intent. I don't usually practice any special technique, I just try to induce mind awake body asleep state.
After, say a half hour, I had the separation symptoms: serious vibes and a feeling of separation. I've had these before, but I never could separate completely.
Now, suddenly all the symptoms die. My vision is still blacked out and I have no idea whether I had separated.
Every time I have a lucid dream (4 times till date), I test it out by flying (by intending to fly). This time, I suddenly began flying even without intending too. My flight was a bit different, as in it was way faster and my jaws began to hurt as I increased my speed (? I guess some things can never be explained). With this I could confirm it was an oobe, but was it a projection? My vision was still all dark. I was scared to open my eyes to check it out because I feared I might end up opening my real eyes. But I tried to do it anyway ( just a little bit), and guess what, I did begin seeing my physical body, just like normal. This wasn't my astral vision, but the usual one. So I closed it immediately. Here comes the worst part (to confuse the situation even more) I was wearing a sleep mask before going to bed which means I could've never seen my body even if I tried opening my eyes!
I couldn't stand up properly, like as if the gravity went nuts.
Then later I had a partial vision. I saw my mom trying to wake me up by sprinkling water. But in reality this had never happened. Then I found a huge mirror by my side on the wall where I saw a deformed image of my face. I looked different with very few similarities. In reality, I had no mirror in my room at all.

So what was this? A projection which turned into a dream or a lucid dream itself?
The reason I am still doubting it could be a projection is because the separation symptoms were so accurate and perfect!

Hi all,

All of us visit certain websites regularly. Sites that contain a lot of valuable information for some (now I'm not talking about facebook, or twitter; I'm talking about sites pertaining to spirituality and metaphysical concerns. Websites that supply knowledge, wisdom and widen our perspective.). Be it a website, a blog, or a forum, please share it here. Let this thread be solely for this purpose.

I request all of you to participate and share your knowledge.

Thank You!

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / Ego Issues.
May 07, 2015, 06:46:21
So I was having a conversation in my native tongue, which I am not very fluent in, with a stranger. So I was also replacing certain words with their English alternatives. But the other person had never learnt English. By the end of conversation I looked very stupid. I felt awkward and I couldn't stay there any longer. Coming to the point, we have all had our share of awkward moments; the question is, why does this happen? It lingers on for a cruciating amount of time. I am aware it is due to the damage of our self created image about ourselves, aka the ego - something which me must not possess, or transcend in order spiritually evolve. So how do we do this? I'm sure this would also put an end to our 'awkward' moments.

PS: At times I try looking at myself in a third person view, which helps as a relief, but clearly isn't a cure.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi. I'm a beginner too. I have been practicing AP for about 5 months now (been a really interesting journey so far). I haven't yet successfully projected, but I have gotten really close to it 5 times (in a row). So what i wish to tell you guys is to eliminate certain beliefs/expectations.
All of us have read extensively over different websites and forums regarding various techniques and methods. This has led us to believe that in order to achieve AP, we need to follow a set of instructions/processes. But that's no true. Let me explain more clearly - Most of us here expect certain exit symptoms before we AP. But each time I got really close (- by really close, i mean, i managed to separate from my body but i had to wait a bit more to completely separate and gain vision, but failed to do so due to certain mistakes i committed -) I had never experienced any vibrations or sleep paralysis, the exit was smooth. Since I was expecting paralysis, i moved my arms to check my state which interrupted my exit. Moreover, to achieve my exit, I had not practiced any method. I was fed up with these "methods" which led me nowhere. All I did was lie on my bed peacefully, slowly cleared my mind of thoughts so as to initiate sleep more quickly, and maintained just enough wakefulness so as to keep my "mind" awake and let the body drift off. This is very simple and I don't call this a method since this is what Projection is all about (to let your body sleep and keep your "mind" awake).
So that's that! Don't believe all that you read on the internet too deeply. Each person is different. Discover your individuality...

------------------------------------
I have a few doubts which I hope someone could explain:
Once when I was exiting my body, i began hearing thunderstorm like sounds (like thunder and heavy rain). Is this just a figment of my imagination or something else?
Another time during my exit, my astral body (during the exit), began spinning in circles at great velocities... (I couldn't see it for my vision had not yet opened but i felt it). Why did this happen??

February 23, 2015, 22:48:08
1.Any women around here? Can't really tell much from a username.. :| Just wondering if girls are also equally into thus stuff...
Roughly, what's the guy-girl ratio ?

2.By any chance, does sex determine your skill at AP?
Because, usually women are portrayed to be the more creative one. (The less analytical type)

From all those years of experience, you guys must have definitely encountered negs (be it thought forms or real). Could you please share how you guys dealt with the situation. Please give us some major tips. Managing such situations is of my dearest concern. Please help.

I have discovered a new technique. Its really simple, easy and quick but it wouldn't help you develop and learn more about your spiritual body.

I'm in the middle of my annual exams, so I'm having to skip my entire sleep some days. Yesterday, I did not sleep at all, but feeling super tired I decided to retire to bed for an hour at like 5:30 am.

I have tried astral projecting so many times when I was really tired but always drifted off to sleep. But this time, having skipped my entire sleep, I was insanely sleepy.
Of all the times when I tried AP'ing, I got the closest 3 times, and every time it was because I managed to hold onto my consciousness right before my body fell asleep. I never used any technique during these times. It involved simple relaxation and clearing of my mind.

Today, I was determined to not let myself drift away to sleep. So this is what I did:- (I'm sure this technique is a sure fire for everyone if you do exactly what I have done)

1. I stayed awake the entire night and didn't take even a short nap.
2. I retired at 5:30 am.
3. I slept in a comfy position, closed my eyes and began chanting 'mind awake, mind awake...' constantly. This is the HARDEST part. Trust me when I say this, when you are this tired it is VERY hard to stay conscious. Even while chanting the above words you will simultaneously go to sleep. But you should hold on really well and intensify the chanting if you are finding it hard to keep yourself awake. Within just about 10 mins I began feeling different.

After this point, I succumbed to fear and dropped my attempt. If you don't fear anything, you will find yourself rising out of your body.
I will narrate my experience to let you know what had happened.

After chanting for a while, I ended up in deep trance. I was finding it increasingly hard to stay conscious. At this point of time, I began sensing (not seeing) other beings. I heard random noises, some sort of light which flashed for a second, blah blah. But all this wasn't very clear due to the level of tiredness. It all was just hazy and confusing. But now thinking about them, I feel all these were just hallucinations (I'm pretty confident about that). I started sensing exit symptoms but I felt very creeped out I stopped it. I decided to just sleep. Soon I had mini dreams and felt my body rising, but my phones alarm woke me up.

You will definetly be prone to hallucinations if you are attempting this. Its all about your state of mind. You shouldnt fall for these thought forms and should continue on. I will attempt this again today and update this post. If anyone is going to try this, please let Mr know of your experience.

Good luck.

During an AP would they appear when we call them especially the first time? would they come to our aid when we are in trouble? Now what about while meditating? How hard is it to contact them while meditating (for a begginner) because our senses are more limited (aren't they? we dont have vision etc).
#24
Hello.
I have a few questions out for all of you, especially the pro's... After all you have experienced out there, you should be able to answer these.
Firstly, is Astral Projection a necessity for me?
I am getting on a spiritual path and hoping to discover the answers to many (spiritual) questions, finding the deeper meaning to life etc. Apart from having fun, I opted to learn projection to be able to contacty guides, learn and discover new stuff and even contact god if possible. But now I'm not sure if I need to AP to achieve that. Can't I just meditate?
Secondly, how different is mediation from AP? What are the key differences? Is meditation a better option for spiritual growth?
Thirdly, you've all had encounters with various beings out there, including random thought forms. Please explain the dangers out there. How dangerous is it? I do know we are nearly invincible in the astral realm, but still, what are the dangers? How frequently do you have negative experiences? How dangerous were they? Do they latch onto you? By percentage, quote how many of your experiences involved baddies. You don't have to narrate your experience, just let us know what we have to face/expect.
Lastly, is AP worth all this trouble? In the end if we don't do anything productive, towards a spiritual growth, I don't think the dangers out there are worthwhile to face to achieve something very trivial...

P.S: I have become paranoid after watching Bob Sanders video on Dangers of Astral Projection. Please do watch it and comment your views here. Thanks a lot! ☺

Guys, there's something you must read...

Please read it first.

Now, could any of you go out there (astrally) and check out what's going on?

P.S: Can't we form an Astral team and venture out into places like Area 51, Dulce Base or the Dark of the Moon etc. ?

I have gotten really close to projecting just twice.
Once I had intense vibes but I didn't know I had to use an escape technique or anything of that sort. I just sat there observing; it went on for a minute or so and stopped.
Once I had a dream where I was in an amusement park with a lot of friends and I was entering a steep water slide. I jumped backwards, with my back falling diagonally downwards along the slide and my face, facing my friends (who were about to jump). The fall started to accelerate really quick. I was falling so rapidly that I felt like an astronaut during a launch. But I freaked out so much I got up panting. But that's when my brother told me he had just woke me up a few minutes ago. So that was probably a wake-induced OBE.
My problem is that I am able to clear my thoughts away and even feel energy sensations, but i'm not able to reach a mind-awake-body-asleep state. I need some serious advice on this.
Could you also comment on my previous two experiences?
PS: I once was trying to AP. I didn't know rope technique was an escape technique and was using it from the beginning i laid down. I was visualizing my self holding the rope and climbing up. After a while my physical body felt numb (pretty much). I felt like i could feel my astral body and i tried to lift my arm with pure intent. It seemed like i managed to do it. I swaying it side by side. But I got too curious and opened my eyes to only see my physical arm moving around... :(
#27
I have always had this feeling that it would be easier to try projecting when we are extremely tired becuse it would be easier to fall asleep (for the physical body) while the mind is still awake but every time i attempt it i end up falling asleep. What are your views regarding this? Any succsss stories?

Hello Everybody,
We have all heard of the "Bigfoot", haven't we? But this is no fable, or a legend (or myth). These are great beings. They are far more advanced than us, not in a technological way, but spiritually. This book is a must-read for all those who wish to be Enlightened and Awakened. It covers everything regarding them. I request every one of you to atleast read a few pages.

A review written by a reader:
" This book is a follow up and extension of Kewaunee's, "The Psychic sasquatch and their UFO connection". Overall, a fascinating read, compiling nearly 200 eyewitness encounters of sightings and interactions with the sasquatch beings, who the author refers to as PEOPLE, and not animals, or monsters, as they are often referred to. I tend to agree with that synopsis, based on people's encounters with these large humanoids. They appear to be highly intelligent and evolved, based on eyewitness accounts, perhaps even MORE intelligent and evolved than humans.

This book delves a little more deeply into the "quantum" aspects of the phenomenon, tieing in the sasquatch to an ancient lineage of beings who were possibly brought here by ET civilizations, long before human beings rose up upon the earth. The quantum aspects are that these beings are highly evolved spiritually and psychically, using mental telepathy, and accessing dimensional portals to move between realities, appear and disappear, and also using psi-power to literally become invisible, and walk through solid objects such as walls, etc...It also goes into more accounts of a connection to people seeing UFO activity in the vicinity of the sasquatch, and even people encountering "star people" in conjunction with the huge humanoids. The author also says that there may be more than one type of sasquatch people, alluding that there may be actually 4 or more different sub-species of this being. One he refers to as "the ancient ones", who are more human-like in their appearance than the more notorious, hairy, ape-like giants, who are more commonly reported. But he states that virtually all sasquatch are capable of abilities borderlining on what we might refer to as the "supernatural" in terms of their mind-powers and physics-altering powers of consciousness.

While I feel that anything is within the realm of possibility, and that these beings may well be able to do such things, I also recognize that there is no solid proof of these claims, other than scores of peoples testimonies of witnessing such feats. The author says that no real documented evidence will likely ever be possible, as the sasquatch are so far ahead of us intellectually and spiritually that they "know" when researchers are trying to capture them, or evidence proving their existence, and that they do not wish to be exposed, due to man's destructive and war-like nature. They are a reclusive being, wishing to be left alone and be free of human society and control. But they DO seem interested in interacting with humans who are more evolved spiritually and whom they sense do not wish to harm or exploit them. This seems to come more in the form of individual, isolated contacts with single individuals or smaller groups of people who are connected to nature.

So overall the book has some very interesting accounts that have the potential to make the open-minded think of what is potentially possible if we are indeed dealing with an older, more advanced humanoid species. But the caveat is that there is no solid, irrefutable PROOF that this is the case, other than taking many eye-witness accounts into mind. So this is a recommended book to those with a very open mind, but the skeptical should probably not waste their time with it, as they will likely end up frustrated. I enjoyed it overall, but recognize that I am quite open-minded to what may be possible. I do look forward to reading future accounts compiled by Kewaunee Lapseritis. It is a different take on an ongoing phenomenon that doesn't seem to be going away, with many people reporting sightings of these elusive sasquatch by the day. "

You'll need the kindle app or kindle itself to try the sample / buy the book.
