I was just practicin again for projection. I think I came up with an effective method (even tohugh I didnt project, I got interrupted). I find that getting a spinning/rotating sensation is fairly easy for me. I imagine that I'm rotating as if I'm lying on a big board spinning laterally. Once I get that movement going, I imagine a point rotating around on the outside of whatever I'm roating on. This point goes past the speed I'm rotating, and passes through my point of consciousness, and attempts to carry it with it. If that makes sense, give it a try if you want, and let me know what happens. Also if there're similar methods to this that someone knows, I'd be glad to hear about them.

I've been getting this a lot lately. I've been using the "binaural abyss" (in the downloads section) as it works very well for me. I've been getting more and more to that level of final being able to just lift myself out. I feel I am accustoming myself gradually to these states so that I ease myself through the fears.

Anyways, I've been experimenting with different states, and one I've been getting (especially last night) is a confused state of where my consciousness really is. It really feels like it's my awareness kind of in-between my physical and etheric bodies. It's really a nice feeling, so I felt satisfied just staying like that for awhile. I'm just wondering if thats what this really is? and if so.. what's my next step? I have trouble separating body parts of my energy body from my physical, but the vibes come easy for me. Not many projection techniques I've tried get me anywhere past the vibes, so I've been just trying to relax into them and let the "projection reflex" take over. I just can't trick my mind into letting the separation happen.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / REM induced trance...
March 18, 2002, 18:31:53
I think I found a shortcut to achieve a light trance. I've tried it a few times, and has worked everytime thusfar. What I do is I trigger REM by forcefully looking upwards and holding it a little while. Eventually my eyes will go into REM, I guess since REM cant happen while ur awake, u immediately go into a trance. The trance does feel different tho, it lacks any energy sensations. Probably because I did no previous energy work as I normally do before entering trance. Anyone else ever done this or wanna give it a shot? i'd like some more verification.

Interesting post.

I recommend reading David Icke's - Tales from the Time Loop. He goes in great detail on how to create your own reality and realise that the current reality is just an illusion.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Donnie Darko

It's not bad. The first time i saw it i was a bit confused, but i think i pretty much get it now. Most people i've talked to have said it's great, but i don't think it's much above average to be perfectly honest. Still, not a bad movie i guess.

Welcome to Dreams! / WILD help

create an object in the dream scene, take a hold of it, and pull pull pull till you end up in the dream.... don't let go no matter what and focus all your will and pulling yourself to the object

i.e. I imagine somewhere I want to go, imagine a good solid object is there, such as.... a umm.... pole... and grab hold of it (i mean LITERALLY reach out and grab it, because i'm in mind awake/body asleep and such) then I just keep pulling till I get there.

That is somewhat odd lateralus897. What is even odder is that today I experienced a very sudden and sharp overload/attack of kundalini energy. It was certainly kundalini because the incident took place while I was practicing a difficult asana in Hatha yoga. The force of the attack was so strong and swift that it nearly knocked me off my feet (honestly it was momentarily overwhelming). [B)][?]
Kundalini Could account for your incident as well, especially if you practice any form of yoga or breathing exercise.

i've had the same problem.   actually i still have it but it's not as pronounced.  it used to comletley stop all of my trance work.  i decided that i wasn't going to be able to progress until my focus was very strong.  i guess i went about it the hard way.

i just kept meditating every day until i could concentrate on one thing w/out distraction.  until no other thoughts came into my mind.  i used the fact that i wasn't able to even enter into trance, as my fuel for my meditation, and it worked well.

i've never been able to be aware of my breathing w/out having it altered in some way.  it seems every time i am aware of it i change it slightly and can't settle into my natural rhythm.  sometimes the change was so slight that i thought i was breathing correctly.  i ended up in the same spot for hours not making any progress, still unable to reach a trance state.

i also used to get tense upon exit.  it stopped me every time.  just keep hacking at the problem.  you will get past it and be glad you didn't give up.  it took me over six months to make any progress w/ this problem.  be very observant at all times.  you will start to notice small things that will make a difference.

you could even try changing the position of your body.  i found that lying on the floor, instead of somethign comfortable like my bed, to help w/ my breathing.

i  sometimes  get a  white smodge,  but im pretty sure its  my  brow  chakra,  and its much bigger than a dot.

but ive heard of  the  dot... SAS soldiers are trained  to  focus on  a  white  dot  behind there closed eyes  if they ever get tortured.

Hey lateralus897,

It's certainly a pleasure to help with this one...

I have and am experiencing this. I've been making major progress, but I am either too excited, or too nervous, or to 'something' to get more than a foot away, or for the experience to last more than a handful of seconds... Yet, that is- and That's the key.

Each time I have an experience I get more used to it. And the more I get used to it the less panicked I am- unless something drastic happens like I shoot up into the air or something. But in general, each experience I have I get calmer and less nervous- and not because of any exercises I'm doing, but just because of experience and familiarity.

So my suggestion to you is to continue on as you are. Don't try to rush, as you may inadvertently go farther than you're ready for and traumatize yourself, which would set you back much further than what just patiently developing would ever take.

Sincerely,

Sweet Celestial Sounds.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / reality stimulus??

To me the illusion exists only because we do not have the spiritual power to overcome it, there is non-physical stuff going on but I am not usually tuned into those levels. Once we attain acess to those levels the physical world becomes putty in our hands.

I'd go with what you were doing before, and concentrate on one aspect of the dream to stabilize it, like your hands or the ground. When you focus on something in a dream, not only are you concentrating on a dream object (which obviously means your dreaming anyway) but your tying up your senses in the dream, which can also prevent you from awakening.

#16
i'm still not sure on exactly it is that you do that gives you the feeling.

It makes more sense to me that there is a plane of the Akashic Record than us having all the knowledge in our brains and not being able to access it. I am not sure what Carl Jung says about the collective unconscious though so I cannot give a very good opinion on this. Where can I find this to read up on it?

Sometimes I'm aware of dancing at the edge of sleep, that moment before I fall into darkness... but by the time I have time to think about it, my thoughts bring me back to the surface and I'm awake again.

#19
I've not read it, but seen it... what exactly is rebirthing and ascension?  Are you talking about reincarnation and spiritual learning?  If it's about that, I may get it.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / astral noise

It sounds like you might be afraid of the darkness and being alone?

If you are I would first try and be comfortable in the darkness and not try to have an OBE.  When you are no longer afraid, or have wird thoughts going through your head- then try and have an OBE.  It is amazing how powerful the sub consciousness is.
