Hey all! I generally don't pop around here much, but for the newbies who wonder hat going lucid is like... I may be able to give you an idea just writing this. :)

(to be honest, I still haven't actually projected consciously yet, but I sometimes do it in my sleep)

So, this morning I wasn't feeling well, so I had a lay-down to recover.
Well... let's just say that I actually fell asleep this time and halfway through what felt like a future or alternate timeline, I suddenly went lucid.

The trigger for me was my mum; in this timeline, she had suddenly stopped talking, and... I realised I was out, and the typical side-effects started happening (suddenly wider FOV, crystal-clear vision, sudden sense of awareness, etc.) and that was when mum repeated what she had said. (note here that in this case SHE was the reality check, as her voice cutting off was quite abrupt and not like her, the rest of her was)

Anyway, as for what actually happened... I started in...
My house. My house. It sure felt like mine anyway. (Note at this time, IRL I haven't moved out yet) I had a wife, a daughter, and my mum had come for something. In fact, a lot of my family were there.

Then something happened, and my daughter went missing. That was around the point my awareness blew through the roof. I tried looking for her, but I had also suspected who had abducted her. (I won't mention him here) It was around this point that I also got the sense that this was possibly a future or alternate timeline of my own.

It was at this point as well that I thought "ok, time to come back" so I went to my room, went to lay on my "bed..." and realised my sister and some of her friends were sleeping over. Yea, not happening... :D

So I walked out... and came across an old man called Walter Bishop (NOTE: If you've watched FRINGE, you'll know who this guy is! ) and I asked him if he could help me get back. All he did was say to me "wait here" and entered a room... and closed the door. that was when I saw everything blur away into darkness... and I woke up normally IRL.

Except I know I'd been out; my vision was full of static for a bit, kind of like turning on a Video Camera and waiting for the automatic gain to adjust. On top of that, I felt much better and quite refreshed. :)

Hence, I post it here. Hope you all have a good day. :)

Hello all, wasn't sure which section to ask this one, so I put it here. (Mods: Please move this to the appropriate place if there is one, thank you. :) )

Anyway, I befriended someone in grade 2. Shortly after the end of that year, she moved somewhere else, and I haven't seen her since.
Now though, I'm actually trying to remember where exactly she moved to...

So I ask; is there any way of pulling information from your own subconscious memory? I am sure there's something stored there, but I'm not sure how to access that part of my mind, aside from maybe astral projection.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Hello all, after almost a year of being dormant here, I've finally returned. :)
Four days ago, I finally projected again, only this time, it was completely accidental. (I wasn't intending to project that early in the morning, but here we are, lol)

And like my last projection a year ago (yep, it's been that long) I triggered it inside a dream. Only this time, it was upon waking up that it happened. I'll give a brief history of my successful (or semi-successful) attempts at going fully aware in the astral plane.

So, my first ever projection, back when I started getting really good at it, was triggered in a dream when I saw a sign on a wall, inside a dream, about "how to exit" and it had the word OBE on the bottom. that word alone triggered my first one. After getting visual clarity, I was hyper-aware for the first time, and at that point, I tried passing through the roof, and failing that, I dived through the flyscreen of the sliding door towards the kitchen. Then, i was flying around for a good 10 minutes. At some point, I tried visiting a long-lost friend, and came to a strange house. This was the point where I turned back and woke up by returning to my bedroom.

The second one only lasted about 3 minutes (I think it was 3 anyway) and initially started with my vision blacked out. Also, oddly, I didn't really hear the metallic roar I get in my ears when I start to separate from body this time. When i could finally see, I was around one of the couldersacks behind my house, and I decided to try flying down the road. I also attempted to fly faster, and ended up flying backwards into the ground. This was when i got up again, and started flying again. I again attempted, this time to teleport, to this long-lost friend of mine... and got blinded by a sheet of clouds, and I found myself back in my room, unable to wake up properly. I then used all my effort to "slap" myself awake for real with my etheric arm. (It did look like an odd white blur across my vision before my physical eyes snapped open)

The last projection I remember before four days ago was one night where instead of starting in my room, I got a real "exploding head' feeling, and found myself running down this odd street and for a while, i was randomly running everywhere in several weird places, including an odd version of my house that had black walls instead of a lilac color, and jet-black floor tiles. That was one of my last true attempts before I pretty much lost both the ability to project, along with my motivation. (school at the time was starting to get real stressful at times then)

After that, for a good year, I simply couldn't do it, I'd sort of lost the ability to meditate for long periods of time as well. And I decided finally about six months ago that maybe I should leave it off for a while. This I did, although I knew sometime that I would return later.

And I guess four days ago marks my official return now. :) How it happened though I think is quite possibly linked to wanting the ability to search for someone and know how they're doing. And oddly, trying to do so... triggers it if I fall asleep.

What happened beforehand is that I again had a dream of this friend of mine (This was the first time in a while that I had gotten such a dream, apart from a real vivid one a day ago, again the first I had in a while) of which ended with me waking up a bit earlier than i normally do these days. (This is despite going to bed at 12:30 AM the night before, BTW) And for some reason, I wanted, subconsciously, to search for her again. While attempting to do so, I fell asleep. Next thing I know, I'm being driven home by my mother, when I thought of separating from my body. I did so, and flew real fast up into the clouds from the car. I then dive-bombed afterwards, and found myself in some sort of room. (it kind of looked like my dining room, complete with the table and everything)

This is where it gets interesting; it was shortly after landing in this room that I started to wake up. Started to... for some crazy reason, upon waking up, I suddenly 'teleported' to the clouds again, ready to sky-dive at something like 700kph. As soon as i hit max-speed... I suddenly blacked out, and that familiar metallic roar hit my ears, for the first time in months! I initially thought this was a false start again, until I decided to sit up. Oddly, I couldn't really see, and... i had the odd feeling of sitting up, but lying down at the same time, kind of as if I was "floating in place" while sitting up. At this point, my visions just noise. Then it hit me; I was out of body, sitting up and blinded by a black curtain of noise! :)

Then trust my eyes flicking open briefly to break it... when I suddenly got an odd distorted view of my bedroom window, (this was because my physical eyes flicked open while out of body) I floated back into a lying-down position (that's what it felt like anyway) and lay there as my etheric body slowly pulsated in place... then I woke up, somewhat more alert than normal. I then smiled when i realised what happened, and started my day.

And with my return to this forum, I introduce my unusual method that I'm going to hopefully work on with each opportunity I get.
I call it the "DDOS attack + skydiving" technique.
And here's how it goes; for this to work at a good efficiency, I recommend sleeping for about four to five hours before. Maybe set an alarm, or something. Once you've woken up, get up and do something. I find just getting up and going to the toilet or getting a mid-night snack, anything that can partially wake up the rest of your mind, works. Then, head back to bed.

Now here comes the crucial detail; the idea now is to focus your attention on something that can introduce a whole load of noise into your short-term memory, kind of like DDOSing a server by flooding it with packets. "searching" for something can work, as it did for me, or you can try to solve a huge calculation, or even try remembering back as far as you can. Whatever it is, keep doing it, and work on filling your short-term memory up with it; the idea is to fill up your mind with as much noise as possible.

This is the point where you'll probably drift off to sleep while doing it. Don't try to stay awake, as doing this will keep you up, the idea is to fall asleep while the short-term memory is full of noise from what you were doing earlier. This will probably result in a premature awakening halfway through a dream. As you're waking up, if you feel that the process of waking up's real slow, immediately use a visual exit technique. I really recommend imagining flying up real high and dive-bombing, as the sensation of doing so will stall the waking up process and hopefully fire off the vibrations and/or other exit signposts. If by this point, you're out, congrats, you did it. :)

Anyway, as of today, I'm getting back in the game. Feel free to comment on this. I hope to keep this updated as frequently as possible. :)

NOTE TO MODS: if this is in the wrong section, please move it!

Hello everyone! I have another unique question!

Firstly, I will tell of something I encountered years ago. This was way before I attempted PK, OBE or anything like that, I wasn't even in high school yet!

Anyway... There was a time where I had a vivid dream one night, (I think I was in year 5 at the time) of which I found myself in a blue tennis court, of which was part of a larger building. I was walking various places outside it, and ended up in a massive oval. I then started walking around the outer edge when I saw a statue of some kind rise out of the ground, and clouds started to form around the top... then I woke up. Didn't seem unusual at all at the time...

...But then, two years later, I was on my first school camp in year 7, and when the booklet for the camp program was given out, I was looking through it... and I saw the exact same blue tennis court in this bird's eye view of this place we were going to stay at, the exact same oval (no statue though) and overall, that dream came straight back to me when i saw it! The event left me thinking that I must have been developing some sort of future sight, and I felt special then. :D

Now though, I am wondering; does anyone know a good explanation for this? If someone else has had something similar happen to them, feel free to share it.

Hello people! I made a post on Xanth's unlimited boundaries forum (I presume it's his) and I would like to carry some of it, along with some fresh new questions and perhaps make this a universal thread where people can share their metaphysical experiences.

Anyway, onto the first entry... :D

Essentially, I have confirmed that my efforts have paid off a little bit; with the right mind-set, I have realise how tied to the NPMR environment I'm getting as a result of a couple of amazing moments a few weeks back. In both, when I couldn't use my physical eyes to find something, I found a way to 'spread out' my awareness, and pinpoint what I am trying to find. (I usually sense an odd bounce-back type of feeling when I find what I'm looking for) After taking this onto unlimited boundaries, I found indeed that I am progressing. To this day, I can still do it, although i don't use it often. (I have, however, used it during an assembly, and found that I was able to find someone in the crowd from across the hall!)

On top of this, I still strive to learn how to project successfully, and I have also taken up studying some of the more unique psi abilities, including making psi-balls and the like. As for one of my questions; Are there actually any electrokinetics here? I ask because that's one of the current pk abilities I'm trying out to see how far I go with it. So far, I have been able to feel a charge going throug my fingers (I also had some success absorbing battery power through my fingers through a similar process) but that's about it.

And last of all, if you're someone with a particularly interesting backgroud in this stuff, or know something that could help not just me but anyone who visits this thread, then fell free to post! :)

Hey guys. :) I've returned here to ask something, But before I begin, I will tell of what happened first:

It happened today; as I was walking out of the school grounds, I started to get a pulling feeling in my lower back. after a while fo this (about 5 seconds) I wondered what it was, so i decided to walk back again until the feeling vanished, And it took me to one of the trees there; I found nothing, so I walked back the way I came out of school, and it didn't happen again.

So I ask; what was that tug?

Welp, now I have gone and done it... And dived into learning about how the "Human Condition," world peace, and visual art relate to each other.  (It's for a school assessment) And I ran into this: http://www.worldtransformation.com/freedom-expanded-book2-what-exactly-is-the-human-condition

What this link is? A simple answer to what the human condition is, and why humans can't usually face it. To be honest, I haven't really run into such issues until now myself, and quite frankly, reading this article really changed my view for the better.

Anyway, just a few questions related to this amazing article that I set for myself to discover in my own time... Is it possible to somehow "build" some sort of world or something in the astral that could help others, and base it on some meaning you got from some artwork? And also, would us "hedgehogs" (my term for those united with the astral, in addition to being able to run super fast and do basic parkour! :D) be either protected from this or be able to combat certain life issues easier? I can definitely say that meditation helps, it's what activated my third eye's electrical energy sensations I get all the time now. :/

Oh, and one more thing; i am almost able to AP properly with full awareness! Once this happens, I will be able to do a bit more for this forum. Possibly... depends on what I run into during future NP travels. ;) Anyway, if you wish to give your view of the link's information, go ahead, I like seeing other people's opinions on this sort of thing. :)

Hello! :) I wanted to share a reality check I accidentally triggered a few days ago while attempting AP, and I would also be interested in what sort of checks you guys do to tell if you're in the dream world or not.

So here goes! firstly, I will tell of how I got the superhuman ability that is proving an effective reality check:

A few years ago, in a dream, I entered the public toilets (1. don't ask and 2. WHY IS IT ALWAYS TOILETS?! :D) and stood in there for a brief second when suddenly, a strange gas clouded the area! everyone was running, I didn't know what to do, then... I got a strange feeling and instinctively pointed my finger at the wall. To my surprise, my finger froze up, and a LASER shot out of it! I was able to clean up the gas using this new ability, then I woke up... :D Since having that dream, I have a bad habit of pointing my finger at random things, expecting a laser to materialize...

So you can probably guess what the reality check is: when I fell asleep while attempting AP, in the dream that followed, I was siting in a circle, at school, in the library, with a bunch of other people, when the thought "wait, am I dreaming?" crossed my mind. I then instinctively rose my finger again and activated my finger-laser... sure enough, a beam shot out and burnt a hole in the cupboard I pointed at. Upon waking up I was like "finally! a use for that ability"

So, with this one out of the way, I'm curious of how you test if you're in a dream or not, so feel free to share your reality checks here! :)

Would it be possible to make something in the astral plane like Astral Pulse Island, only a hypersonic racetrack? Who would be interested?

I am close to being able to achieve projection anytime I wake up early, so once I do, I was thinking of starting a project where the goal is to construct a long racetrack in the astral realm (or even the RTZ, but not sure if it would work there) where experienced astral projectors can race each other via high-speed flight! ;)

What do you think? Any suggestions on the track layout too are accepted also! :) I will also let you know when I successfully project/OBE for a minimum of three times to strengthen my abilities. once that happens, I will draw up a track and post it here for everyone else to use as reference. ;)

If such a racetrack existed, races would go like this:
- one can only race 2 feet off the ground. Nothing higher than a foot, nothing less than a foot. Make sure you can control your flying at this level before entering, as the track may have sharp inclines! ;)
- You can go at any speed you want, although the aim is to go as fast as possible, (Duh!) Essentially, one's skill at achieving a really high top   speed is entirely dependant on the projector's ability to fly. (I didn't go very fast during my first AP, so I am not sure how I would fair here... :D)
- NO ONE, under any circumstances is allowed to TELEPORT deliberately! If your AP ends during a race, that's out of everyone's control really, so that doesn't count. Also, make sure your focus is sharp and clear before racing, as losing focus (or a stray thought) can easily result in teleportation... :D
- Up to 10 can race at anytime. It is required each racer goes round the track once to help them get a feel for the tracks structure before the real race begins! this is to eliminate reality fluctuations that could interfere with racing. Having a solid focus here is crucial!

As for actual track structure, it could be anything. Heck, we could bring to life several of them and make a full-out Astral Grand Prix! ;)
So people, let me know what you think of my ideas, and feel free to make suggestions! :)

EDIT: Corrected a typo, no need to sue the design...

Hello people! :) I haven't long joined this forum, however, I have been trying to leave my body since the beginning of this year. As a result, I have had some weird experiences I wanted to share and get opinions on. Before I tell my tales though, I will point out one thing; none of these seemed to end with a successful projection. Now, onto my experiences. Hopefully, you guys can point me in the right direction:

My first attempt seemed to be by accident, due to the fact that I had awoken in the middle of the night. At the time, I simply wanted to just go back to sleep, so I did. Well, I thought I did. I first had a weird dream, then I heard a HUGE breeze in my ears (There was also some random shouting "FREEDOM!!!!" in the background, the breeze itself sounded sort of like the sound you hear when you yawn... :D) Then I woke up normally, wondering 'what the heck was that all about?!' I then made another attempt to fall asleep. This time, I was just going about my buisness in the dream world (It was of my school) when things started going a bit weird. Then something popped into my head from an article i read once: "what if I could turn this lucid?" With that in mind, I ran as fast as I could and jumped... and immediately took flight like a bird. I then landed on the roof, and willed myself to see my bedroom, of which resulted in me being able to see around my bedroom, but unlike what it was in real life, it was all dark, and the edges of my vision were blurred. After a while of seeing weird things in this state, I woke up normally, and thought "Nah, not successful..." and finally got to sleep properly.

The attempts that followed ranged from binaural beats to all the techniques I could try out (My favourite's the rushing tunnel) and had no success. And then, one early morning before I was ready to get up for school, I decided to try and lapse into the "mind-awake, body-asleep" state. It seemed to work... I sort of felt something click in my head, and I tried the rushing tunnel technique again, and got the "wind in my ears" sound and a feeling like extreme shivering! But when they stopped, I thought the projection was successful, but upon directing my focus to an old friend far away, I found myself in the weirdest place that looked nothing like where they lived, and after returning home, everything was out of place. Then I woke up, realising that had to be a false awakening of some kind... :/

Then a few days ago, I signed up to this forum upon coming across this thread: http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_out_of_body_experiences/how_i_got_out_for_the_first_time-t30942.0.html
And realised that perhaps my way of doing this wasn't quite right. So a night later, I gave another attempt at projection... and fell asleep... (DOH!) But then I woke up early again the next morning, and decided to try out the technique again while I was lying still. To my surprise, ONE EAR closed up after a minute of listening to the faint whine in my ears and started ringing like crazy! But then I had to go to the toilet, and likewise, I stuffed the opportunity again, and since then, I haven't found a good time to make the attempt again.

So, after having the experiences I have had, I wanted some advice on which direction I should take next. atm, I really feel close to successfully projecting, but I still think I am missing (or stuffing up) something crucial!
