So for those of you who don't know me, I am a Physics major currently attending the University of Texas. I will graduate this spring and expect to pursue graduate school after. I am an author and have published two books on OOBE's detailing the existence of an external array that fuels the vibrational surge. This system is called the "Vehram Ethereal Array."
One of the questions many people ask with regards to OOBE's is "How do I know if this is real?" It is the question at the center of my own 20+ year search for an answer. I want to share with you what I have learned and explain the real connection between quantum mechanics and the veridical proof that these events are indeed real separations of consciousness from the physical body.
First of all, do not let the term "quantum mechanics" intimidate you. Yes, there are some really "strange" things going on in the quantum world: quantum tunneling, quantum entanglement, quantum teleportation. These are real phenomenon that can be demonstrated to be a fundamental part of physical reality. I won't go into these topics, but rather want to focus on a more relatable aspect of the subject - specifically, quantum electrodynamics.
Quantum electrodynamics (QED) is the branch of quantum mechanics and physics that describes the behavior of the Coulomb force, otherwise known as the electromagnetic force. This area of physical theory describes the electric field generated by charged particles and the exchange of energy between carriers of the electromagnetic force. Central to the theory is the idea that photons are the discrete carrier of the electromagnetic force and that through the process of emitting and absorbing photons the electromagnetic force is "felt" by other particles.
One of the basic consequences of QED is that an electrical current is able to propagate through a conductor. Yet, for this to occur, one must also consider the basic structure of matter - atomic structure. The atom is composed of subatomic particles - electrons, protons, and neutrons. (In addition there are sub-subatomic particles that are the building blocks of those particles, but these are governed by the strong nuclear force and are not pertinent to the present discussion).
In considering atomic structure it is important to know two things. One is that the nucleus of the atom (positively charged) is 2000 times more massive than the electrons which comprise the surrounding field. In addition, the nucleus is 2000 times smaller than the total volume of the atom. Essentially, you have an extremely dense, small and massive center that is positively charged surrounded by an electron field which is equal and opposite in charge (assuming a neutral atom). This unique configuration allows electrical energy to propagate through solid material structure because the nuclei are relatively undisturbed. Available electrons are accelerated, due to a difference in charge (voltage potential) between neighboring atoms, which causes them to radiate photons. These photons are absorbed by neighboring electron fields and the process continues. The electrons do not move at the speed of light through the material (particles with mass cannot travel at light speed). The photons do, however, hence the electric field is propagated through the material at near light speed. This is why, when we turn on a light switch, the light appears to come on immediately.
We call this "quantum" electrodynamics because the energy is exchanged through photons only in discrete "quanta."
So what does any of this have to do with out-of-body experiences?
The Vehram Ethereal Array is an extracorporeal system (located outside the body) comprising six distinct centers which appear to be governed by an "inverse power law" that is used to describe all forms of electromagnetic radiation - including light, x-rays, radio waves, gamma-rays, etc. Virtually all forms of energy that we experience at the macroscopic (large scale) level is the direct result of electromagnetic radiation - QED.
Specifically, the Vehram Array generates an inverse power law field effect which emanates from each of the centers. This behavior is felt through the extended ethereal body and is similar to what happens when one approaches his/her hand toward a fire. The heat from a flame will increase to 4 times the initial intensity if you move to one half the original distance. Heat is essentially electromagnetic radiation (light) which is in the infrared part of the electromagnetic spectrum. In accordance with the inverse power law governing the Vehram Array, the intensity of the emanating energy will increase as one approaches their extended ethereal appendage toward the source.
The external arrangement of these six centers comprising the Vehram Array is also quite similar to atomic structure, but on a macroscopic scale. This would be very similar to the formation of molecules which are in what is called an octahedral configuration, in which case you have a central atom and bonded to it are six other atoms. The best example would be Xenon-hexafluoride. The xenon atom is at the center and the fluorine atoms (six of them) are bonded on the outside. Because the central atom is negatively charged (has extra electrons) and the external atoms are all positively charge (each missing one electron) these external atoms will bond in a very specific way. They each want to be as close to the central atom as possible, but being of similar charge to each other, they repel away from one another. The external atoms are unable to fully escape the bond to the central atom and so they seek a position of equilibrium - each fluorine atom is as far as possible from the other. One fluorine atom is located above, one below, one behind, one in front of, and one each to the left and right of the central xenon atom. This behavior is caused by the fundamental existence of charges (without charge the atoms would not bond and material structure would not exist).
In addition to the field effect and the octahedral structural component displayed by the Vehram Array, each mirroring QED phenomenon, there is yet another crucial behavior exhibited by the Vehram Ethereal Array (VEA) which shows strong correlation. This behavior is what I have termed an electro-ethereal discharge. As described above, electrical discharges can only occur through material because of atomic structure being the way that it is - opposite charges accompanied by heavy (massive) nuclei at the center of the atom and the much larger, but less massive surrounding electron field.
Now, when the ethereal body makes direct contact with any one of the VEA's centers, the immediate result is a discharge - the flow of an ethereal based current that travels into the ethereal body and is of such profound power that the subject cannot sustain contact. It is an ethereal electrocution of sorts! This discharge could only occur if in fact the ethereal body is a type of material body, and it is this specific behavior that would seem to unequivocally prove the existence of the ethereal body. Obviously, if the ethereal body exists and the event of separation is real, then the out-of-body experience must also be real. Consciousness must indeed be a separable entity from the physical body!
The real connection to quantum mechanics is in the unique behavior of the VEA, which is independently consciously observable to anyone, and which can only be described in physics as a quantum electrodynamics type process. One of the professors at the university I attend wrote a paper which describes a quantum mechanical continuum of physical type realities. At the end of the last semester, I presented a 18 page, 10,500 word research paper (a paper that was awarded an A and is hopefully to be published through the university soon) to the university using his mathematical formula as one support for the possible existence of a system like the VEA. This is the first and only known real connection between quantum mechanics and the possible continuation of consciousness outside the physical body.
Certain authors have previously attempted to make some kind of connection between consciousness and quantum mechanics because an "observation" causes the "collapse of a wave function." This is unfair and misuse of terminology. Observation in physics means to physically measure something - not to "see or witness" an event - which would imply that consciousness causes the collapse of the wave function. Rather, it has been shown that a conscious observer is not necessary to cause this collapse (a collapse of the wave function is the point at which a corpuscle must take on either wave or particle type qualities and is essentially what physicists refer to as the rendering of reality).
The Vehram Ethereal Array is an objectively governed and universally perceivable system whose fundamental behaviors are quantum mechanical in nature. Our universal ability to consciously observe this system through the OOBE is the connection between quantum mechanics, consciousness, and the out-of-body experience.
If you want to learn more about the VEA and how to use it to achieve out-of-body experiences, please be sure to check out the website at www.vehram.org
