We have all come a long way. Recently I have had some WILDS that all end up in the same location and I would like to discuss...if we are all starting to dream similar dreams...My best regards to you all Mustardseed

Hello everybody
Oh life....is bigger....its bigger than you and you are not me...the lenghts I will go to...the distance in your eyes...oh no I said too much I said it all....thats me in the corner.

As my life changes once again in the most profound of ways, I have decided to take up my AP presence for a very specific purpose....I would like to ask for your patience and love as I try to explain what I have been up to for so many years, and form a sort of fellowship of old friends.

Some might remember me, but very few I expect. I started out a long ago on the AP...time passed...life happened ....and now I would like to come back....wiser...older....and hopefully with a good deal more understanding and love.

I will start my new conversations shortly, and would appreciate any comments anyone wants to add but will as I always tried to do...stay away from heated arguments and unkindness....I would like you all to try your best to help me be good....deal?

My best wishes to you all ...old friends and new

Regards Mustardseed

Ps....I was not sure about the thread name and had to think there...now I changed it to what I really will be doing. This could be quite a ride....and I know it will raise eyebrows and maybe a few sharp comments. If it gets too rowdy I ask that the moderators step in......I believe it can be done and I have my mind set

Hi all

In recent years it appears that abductions , ufo observations, demonic activity, as well as certain astral phenomena are on a dramatic increase. Each beliefsystem has their own explanation and very specific terminology, and extensive arguments and much negativity is wasted as a result.

I have had several experiences in my life with differet re occurring entities, and have questions......

I would like to propose a system of classification of different entities to cross reference demon-elemental-alien- and see if they are the same and act the same. It is a conundrum that astral travellers have learned to deal with these entities, and where most UFO enthusiasts seem very fearful and Christians as well for that matter, certain abduction have now been foiled and maybe we could add experience.

It is reported that most abductions happen in certain focus areas and it is theorized that bineural beats as well as electric bypass are used, to make people exit. The marks on the body are well known among shamans as well.

So whatta ya think. I will start with my own observation of 2 specific beings that i have encountered on numerous occations

:-D Well it may sound crazy to most of you but I have finally succeded in making my OBEs stop. I had years of concious exits as well as Lucid dreams and other experiences and after maintaining a strict regimen og excercises it is over.  :-D at least it seems to be.

After years of OBEs etc I decided that living in THIS world was more important than the other one, and the lessons learned here were best learned without the distraction of OBEs etc. I decided to shut them out...the best sign of being in control, I assumed. So far so good.

As a big part of my plan was a ban on my visiting this site, its all in the ""mind" right, so maybe now I will start again making them happen. That was part of the original scheme but it was only to happen if they truly stopped. I have not had any for a LONG time, so maybe the time is right to reverse the process. Anyone interested in how i8t is done I shall be glad to share... :-D

Regards Mustardseed

PS Hi everybody how are things going

Hi everybody
I have been contemplating something recently and wanted to ask what you all think.
As some of you might know I have posted on this site for a while... :-D

During that time I had heated exchanges with many of the most "venerable" posters, Frank, Robert Bruce and Beth...not to forget Jeehad and all the Muslims.

Some of these exchanges have been very intense so much so that I have or became quite engulfed in the whole thing, checking emails hourly etc. It kept me posting but often in what I consider the wrong spirit. I am not a natural english speaker but have developed a acute sense of fairness as long as it benefitted me and used anything from clever arguments to putdown baiting and what have you.

It did however keep me focussed on OBEs and somehow made me more keenly aware of others strivings as well. For a while now I have not posted a and I find my OBEs have basically stopped. I used to be able to have them every night by a consious effort but now I dont even want them anymore, almost like a been there done that kind of thing. I am happy about that but stii sort of miss the mystery.

My question is: does even just posting here close a ring of sorts, Do we participate of each others energy or is this all coincidental.

I will start posting more so wanted to ask your opinion.

Does the AP and the discussions we have even the more pointed kind, help or hinder our efforts. What do you think. How are we all connected in an astral way. Are we a belief system. Will we one day all meet?

Sounds like fun but,... what do you think

I would especially like to hear from the female posters. This is incredible and quite compelling ........

For years I have had experience with Islam, in countries under Islamic rule. I have seen and felt how Islam is lived in a country professing to follow its teachings and has been deeply disillusioned. It has given rise to a series of questions and I have yet to meet anyone who is able to answer the many pressing questions about the doctrines in the book.

I am hoping that Muslims will answer this post and explain. Please do not quote the Koran as any source of proof for various statements but try to show the greater scheme of things. I believe that Islam is a very sinister Religion and that it is by large hidden from the average Muslim.

Mostly the ones defending Islam tries to discredit Christianity, but as we all know 2 wrongs does not make 1 right, instead try to explain the following doctrines and behavior of your fellow Muslims, in regards to these issues.

Death penalty for apostasy

Multiple wives and the superiority of the man over his wife (divorce proceedings)

Jihad, the waging of war with the Kuffir to reclaim former dominance

There are a few others they will come later

I just saw the movie FITNA by the dutch politician Geert Wilders. Very well done but very short . It shows the main issue to face, THE KORAN, this is the "fountain" as he says this is where it is all commanded. Now take a look and tell me what you thinbk

The recent scandal in Germany compounds what I have been trying to say all along. Sharia law supercedes common law to a Muslim and political correctness "in high places" makes us all an open target for a Religion belonging in the middle ages. Give me your take on this. What about you Jeehad do you support the Koran in this matter.

Dear Friends
I am presently in the process of getting ready to cross the Atlantic on a 38 ft sailboat. I expect that the trip will take me north from Antiqua, then east, passing south of the Azoers and then on to Gibraltar. I expect a month at sea will do.

Recently I read a very interesting story of  Joshua Slocum, the first man to sail alone around the world in a small sailboat. South of the Azoers he had a OBE type of experience and was helped by a man who called himself the "pilot of the Pinta"

The story is here

http://home.nycap.rr.com/sailingalone/webunz/webdoc8.html

What do you thing everybody,  is there in your opinion more or less, spiritual activity at sea than on the solid ground?

My experience is that when I get out at sea, it is very easy for me to have OBEs , as far as Lucid dreams they are almost daily (nightly) it may just be me or my own mind being conditioned but what do you all think.

I would also appreciate the prayers and energy and good wishes from anyone who feels lead to send them my way. Actually I am quite scared about it, but then again it is said that courage is not absence of fear but conquest of fear. If you are interested I will have my wife post my progress every 3-4 days as posted on a link to Google earth. Any takers?

Stupid Muslim Tricks: Saudi Soccer Fatwa
The Islamic geniuses in Saudi Arabia have ruled that Muslims should not play soccer like the Europeans do because it violates the Prophetic tradition (hadith) against imitating Christians and Jews. The Neanderthal Wahhabi clerics dictate that soccer can only be played if the rules are different from the rest of the world and the players play only to get in good shape to kill infidels in the jihad.

One of the soccer fatwas, written by Saudi Sheikh 'Abdallah Al-Najdi, as published in the Saudi daily, Al-Watan, on August 22, 2005:

"1. Don't play soccer with four lines [surrounding the field], since this is the way of the non-believers, and the international soccer rules require drawing [these lines] before playing.

"2. One should not use the terminology established by the non-believers and the polytheists, like: 'foul,' 'penalty kick,' 'corner kick,' 'goal,' and 'out of bounds.' Whoever pronounces these terms should be punished, reprimanded, kicked out of the game, and should even be told in public: 'You have come to resemble the non-believers and the polytheists, and this has been forbidden.'

"3. If one of you falls during the game and breaks his hand or his foot, or if the ball hits his hand, he shall not say 'foul' and shall not stop playing because of his injury. The one who caused his injury shall not receive a yellow or a red card, but rather the case shall be judged according to Muslim law in the case of a broken bone or an injury. The injured player shall exercise his rights according to the shari'a, as [is stated] in the Koran, and you must testify together with him that so-and-so tripped him up intentionally.

"4. Do not set the number [of players] according to the number of players used by the non-believers, the Jews, the Christians, and especially the vile America. In other words, 11 players shall not play together. Make it a larger or a smaller number.

"5. Play in your normal clothing, or in pajamas, or something like that, but not in colorful pants and numbered jerseys. Pants and jerseys are not appropriate clothing for Muslims. They are the clothing of the non-believers and of the West, and therefore you must be careful not to wear them.

"6. Once you have fulfilled [these] conditions and rules, you must play the entire game with the intention of improving your physical fitness for the purpose of fighting Jihad for Allah's sake and preparing for the time when jihad is needed. One should not waste time in celebrating a false victory.

"7. Do not play for 45 minutes, as is the practice among the Jews, the Christians, and in all of the countries of non-belief and atheism. This is also the length of time that is accepted in the soccer clubs of those who have strayed from the righteous path. You must be different than the non-believers, depart from their path, and not imitate them in anything.

"8. Do not play in two parts [i.e. halves], but rather in one part or in three parts, so as to be different than the sinful and rebellious, the non-believers and the polytheists.

"9. If neither side has defeated the other and neither side has inserted the ball between the posts, do not waste further time [in an extension] or in 'penalty kicks' until someone has won, but rather leave [the field] immediately, since this kind of victory is precisely an imitation of the non-believers and [adoption] of the international soccer rules.

"10. Do not appoint someone who follows the players around and is called 'a referee', since, after canceling the international rules such as 'foul,' 'penalty kick,' 'corner kick' and so on, there is no need for his presence. Moreover, his presence is an imitation of non-believers, Jews and Christians, and constitutes adoption of the international [soccer] rules.

"11. In the course of the game it is forbidden for groups of youth to gather and watch, since if you are gathering for the sake of sports activity and physical fitness, as you claim, why should they be looking at you? You must make them participate [in order to improve] their physical fitness and prepare for jihad; or else say to them, 'Go propagate Islam and seek out moral corruption in the marketplaces and in the press [in order to correct it], and leave us to improve our physical fitness.'

"12. When you finish playing, be careful not to talk about the game, and not to say 'we play better than the opponent,' or 'so-and-so is a good player,' etc. Moreover, you should speak about your body, its strength and its muscles, and about the fact that you are playing as [a means of] training to run, attack, and retreat in preparation for [waging] jihad for Allah's sake.

"13. If one of you inserts the ball between the posts and then starts to run so that his companions will run after him and hug him, like the players in America and France do, you should spit in his face, punish him, and reprimand him, for what do joy, hugging, and kissing have to do with sports?

"14. You must take the three posts or iron rods which you use to construct [the goal], and into which the ball is kicked, and replace them with just two instead of three. In other words, take out the cross-post or rod... so that [the goal] will not be similar to what is customary among the non-believers, and in order to violate the despotic international soccer rules.

"15. Do not do what is known as 'substitution' – that is, putting in a player in place of a player who has been disqualified – since this the custom of the non-believers in America and elsewhere."

The fatwa was issued in Saudi Arabia's al-Taif region, where the captain of the well known Al-Rashid soccer team reports that three of his team had left under the the belief that soccer was prohibited by Islam. They were recruited by Zarqawi's Al Qaeda terror organization in Iraq. One of them, Majid Al-Sawat, subsequently was arrested in Iraq while preparing to be a suicide bomber. He is held in prison in Mosul. The other two team members, Tamer al-Thamali and Dayf Allah al-Harithi, completed their suicide missions.

Saudi Arabia is our partner in the war against terror.

Well ok there are lots of funny clips and I agree that we should be ready to laugh, It is however my opinion that to interject them into a discussion like the one I have been having With Jeehad does not make it easier to stay on track. Here is one that I really liked. There is a time and place for everything and before you say that I dont get it James, I do.......I am not a fundementalist and you know that very well, nor do I post here to turn people to what I personally believe.

My argument is against violence, and religions that teach violence as a way to evangelize

Here it is have a good laugh

Dear Friends
I am starting this new thread to examine and try to understand some of the many facets of Islam. The last thread seemed to veer from the initial post and I felt a new heading was in order. I am not opening this thread to immunize my own faith so if anyone want to make a similar thread for Christianity, I would welcome it and attempt to take part in the posting.

Researching Islam I have learned of the Doctrine of NASKH, Jeehad posted a reply explaining to me what this means. It seems that certain doctrines and suras keep evolving within Islam, and this doctrine lays down the method of how a progressive revelation is verified.

The following is a article in which the Author examines the Abrogated suras one by one. It appears that if my source material is correct the famous Sura 9:5 the sword verse Abrogated some previous suras and I would like to ask for a comment from any one who can explain this.

The Quran's Doctrine of Abrogation
Prepared by Abdullah Al Araby
In an attempt to polish Islam's image, Muslim activists usually quote verses from the Quran that were written in the early days of the Islamic movement while Mohammed lived in Mecca. Those passages make Islam appear loving and harmless because they call for love, peace and patience. Such is a deception. The activists fail to tell gullible people that such verses, though still in the Quran, were nullified, abrogated, rendered void by later passages that incite killing, decapitations, maiming, terrorism and religious intolerance. The latter verses were penned while Mohammed's headquarters was based in Medina.

When speaking with people of Christianized/Western societies, Muslim activists deliberately hide a major Islamic doctrine called "al-Nasikh wal-Mansoukh" (the Abrogator and the Abrogated). This simply means that in situations wherein verses contradict one another, the early verses are overridden by the latter verses. The chronological timing in which a verse was written determines its authority to establish policies within Islam. Non-Muslims cannot afford to be ignorant about the full implications of the Abrogator and the Abrogated Doctrine (al-Nasikh wal-Mansoukh). When Islamic spokesmen say that Islam is a religion of peace and that the Quran does not support such things as human rights infractions, gender bias and terrorism, they are lying. This means that the Western politicians and liberal journalists, who continually spout that Islam is a noble religion of peace, are in reality propagating a deception that they have been deceived into parroting.

This presents problems for naïve people who are not familiar with Islam and the Quran. They don't know that the surahs/chapters of the Quran are not arranged in chorological order in regard to the timing in which they were written. Therefore an activist who is out to deceive them can turn to various places throughout the Quran and read verses that sound peaceful, tolerant, reasonable and loving. The impression is that the entire Quran promotes peace, love, equality and tolerance for all. That is far from the truth. Most Muslims fully understand that the few Quranic verses that seemingly promote equality, peace and justice are more often than not overridden/ nullified by later verses that validate such things as terrorism and legalistic restrictions on routine human and women's rights.

THE DOCTRINE OF THE ABROGATOR AND THE ABROGATED IN THE QURAN (Al Nasikh Wal Mansoukh)
This doctrine is based on two verses that Allah allegedly instructed Mohammed to put into the Quran.
"None of Our revelations do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten, but We substitute something better or similar: Knowest thou not that Allah Hath power over all things?" Surah 2: 106
"When We substitute one revelation for another, and Allah knows best what He reveals (in stages), they say, "Thou art but a forger": but most of them understand not." Surah 16:101

The documentation for the information that I am offering in this piece is found in one of Islam's classical reference books in the Arabic language. It is titled "al-Nasikh wal-Mansoukh" (The Abrogator and the Abrogated) and was authored by the revered Muslim scholar Abil-Kasim Hibat-Allah Ibn-Salama Abi-Nasr. The book goes through every Surah (chapter) in the Quran and cites in great detail every verse that was cancelled-out/overridden by particular verses that were written later. The author noted that out of 114 Surahs (chapters) of the Quran, there are only 43 Surahs that were not affected by this concept. The implications are very revealing. It means that those who would be inclined to accept the Quran as reliable can take only 43 chapters of the Quran at face value. The majority of its chapters cannot be taken at face value. The cancelled verses are mixed in with the authoritative verses and only schooled Islamist know which is which.

The following are English translation excerpts from the reference book's original Arabic
THREE KINDS OF ABROGATION:
1) Verses in which both the wording and application were abrogated/nullified.
There is an example of this found in a narration by Ans Ibn Abdel Malik. He said that during the life of Mohammed, they used to read a Surah that was equal in size to that of Surah 9 (the repentance). He further stated that he only remembered one verse from that Surah/chapter. - "If the son of Adam has two valleys of gold he would covet to have a third one, if he has three he would covet to have a fourth one. Nothing would fill the belly of the son of Adam except dirt, and Allah would accept the repentance of those who repent."
Another example is the narration of Ibn Abdullah Ibn Massoud. He said that Mohammed recited a verse for him that he memorized and wrote in his Quran. When he checked his Quran the following day, he discovered that the verse had disappeared. Mohammed explained what had happened to ibn Massoud. He told him that the verse had been lifted during the previous day.
2) Verses in which the wording was abrogated (nullified) but the application was not.
These are verses wherein the wording was nullified, but the inferences/possible applications of those words remained intact.
There is an example of this form in a narration about Omar Ibn Al Khattab. He said, "If I didn't hate that people would say we added to the Quran which was not part of it, I would have insisted in including the verse of stoning. By God we have recited it by the Apostle of God."
3) Verses in which the application was abrogated (nullified), but the wording was not.
These are verses wherein the wording remained the same, but the authority to consider such in the formation of Islamic polices were nullified
There are sixty-three Surahs/chapters in the Quran that mention such things as praying in the direction of Jerusalem, regulations about fasting and the forgiveness that is available to polytheists

FOUR DEGREES OF ABROGATION
1. Surahs that were not influenced by applications of the doctrine of the Abrogator and the Abrogated. (43 Surahs)

Surahs 1, 12, 36, 49, 55, 57, 61, 62, 66, 67, 68, 69, 71, 72, 77, 78, 79, 82, 83, 84, 85, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 97, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102, 104, 105, 106, 107,109, 108, 110, 112, 113, and 114
2. Surahs that maintained the authority of the Abrogator, but their original wording was not abrogated/nullified.(6 Surahs)

Surahs 48, 59, 63, 64, 65, and 87
3. Surahs that had their wording abrogated/nullified, but maintained their authority for applications. (40 Surahs)
Surahs 6, 7 10, 11, 13, 15 16 17, 18, 20, 23, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 34, 35, 37, 38, 39, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 51, 53, 54, 60, 68, 70, 74, 75, 76, 77, 86, 80, 88, and 109
4. Surahs that have had both their authority for applications and their wording abrogated. (24 Surahs)

Surahs 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 14, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 25, 26, 33, 34, 40, 42, 51, 52, 56, 58, 73, 103, and 108

THE VERSE OF THE SWORD
The verse that Abrogated (nullified) the Peace Verses.
An example of the abrogation: There are 124 versus that call for tolerance and patience that have been cancelled and replaced by one, single verse. This verse is called the verse of the sword:
"But when the forbidden months are past, then fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war)....." Surah 9:5
Verses that support the verse of the Sword

1) "Fight them, and Allah will punish them by your hands, cover them with shame, help you (to victory) over them, heal the breasts of believers" (Surah 9:14).

2) "O ye who believe! Truly the Pagans are unclean; so let them not, after this year of theirs, approach the Sacred Mosque" (Surah 9:28).

3) "The Jews call 'Uzayr a son of God, and the Christians call Christ the son of God. That is saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate the Unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!" (Surah 9:30).

4) "O Prophet! Strive hard against the Unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and be firm against them. Their abode is Hell – an evil refuge indeed" (Surah 9:73).

5) "O ye who believe! Fight the Unbelievers who gird you about, and let them find firmness in you: and know that Allah is with those who fear Him" (Surah 9:123).

Some of the verses abrogated by the verse of the Sword:

1) "Those who believe (in the Qua'an), and the Christians and the Sabians – any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord: on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve" (Surah 2:62).
2) "Quite a number of the People of the Book wish they could turn you (people) back to infidelity after ye have believed, from selfish envy, after the Truth hath become manifest unto them: but forgive and overlook, till Allah accomplish his purpose" (Surah 2:109).
3) "But because of their breach of their Covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard; they change the words from their (right) places and forget a good part of the Message that was sent them, nor wilt thou cease to find them – barring a few – ever bent on (new) deceits: but forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds): for Allah loveth those who are kind" (Surah 5:13).
4) "Leave alone those who take their religion to be mere play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world. But proclaim (to them) this (truth): that every soul delivers itself to ruin by its own acts: it will find for itself no protector or intercessor except Allah: if it offered every ransom, (or reparation), none will be accepted: such is (the end of) those who deliver themselves to ruin by their own acts: they will have for drink (only) boiling water, and for punishment, one most grievous: for they persisted in rejecting Allah" (Surah 6:70).
5) "But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in Allah" (Surah 8:61)
6) "And dispute ye not with the People of the Book, except with means better (than mere disputation), unless it be with those of them who inflict wrong (and injury); but say, 'We believe in the revelation which has come down to us and in that which came down to you; our God and your God is One; and it is to Him we bow (in Islam)" (Surah 29:46).
7) "And remember We took a covenant from the Children of Israel (to this effect): worship none but Allah" (Surah 2:83).
8) "Say: Will ye dispute with us about Allah, seeing that He is our Lord and your Lord; that we are responsible for our doings and ye for yours; and that we are sincere (in our faith) in Him?" (Surah 2:139)
9) "Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for Allah loveth not transgressors" (Surah 2:190)
10) "But fight them at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there" (Surah 2:191)
11) "But if they cease, Allah is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful" (Surah 2:192).
12) "But there is no compulsion in religion" (Surah 2:256).
13) "So if they dispute with thee, say: 'I have submitted my whole self to Allah and so have those who follow me,' And say to the People of the Book and so to those who are unlearned: 'do ye (also) submit yourself? A couple of weeks ago I had 2 OBEs with a day between in which I met a woman here in my newly rented flat. Among other things I hugged her and told her she would be ok.

This week a mold spot started growing on the wall in the room where I talked to her, showing her picture how do I attach this picture to show it here?

Dear Beth and all

Since you make a reference to me in one of your posts, I guess it would only be polite to answer you. I still wonder if it was a sarcastic mention of my name but anyways. Since this post is not on the subject line I decided to make a separate thread, yet it is, I think, still somewhat pertinent to the point you bring out.

Religion and faith is, in my opinion, a very deep subject and not something to take too lightly, as we all know it has caused some of the worst problems in the history of the earth. It all started with Cain and Able (just kidding don't go for the bait   ) in any case, whether one adheres to a certain faith or not, it does tend to cause all sorts of feelings to arise in most folks, either in defense of faith, or in aggression against the same.

I have come to a point in my life, where I allow myself to question everybody and every statement, or doctrine I hear. Robert was in the last 4-5 years, very helpful to me, throughout this process, and you yourself played a part as well. I have also learned, that one constantly must be on guard, against the "secondary infection" as one could term it. Those, who through their personal knowledge, and experience, helped me over or through certain misconceptions, only to later on down the road, present their beliefs research or personal experience, as a substitute for my former beliefs. Many a dictator have, as you know liberated a people or nation only to be corrupted by the very attitude he himself set out to overthrow. Once bitten twice shy, I think Americans say.

For myself I have come to my present state of understanding, however limited it may be, through the dark tunnel of dogmatism. Dogmatism, as a path, seems to often be paved with ignorance and youth. I think most of us have been there. For many years I was very cock sure (is that the way you spell it) of what I believed, and why. It was a mixture of very strange experiences, mystic in nature, as well as the influence, of people around me. No man is an island, and I was in my younger years, very strongly influenced by people as well as doctrines I no longer find healthy, nor even remotely truthful. As yourself, I see your quote below as one of the main problem with many Christians, however I do not view the issue as you do.

Beth: Religion has set itself up as a perfect foil for that very purpose: through manipulating the hearts and minds of humans, it keeps people coming to them for their "salvation." The whole focus on being born as sinful people, and Jesus having died for the sins of all mankind, forever, just removes all personal responsibility from the individual and provides an ultimate "sacrificial lamb" for all believers. This also puts the Church and the religion in a very powerful position to further manipulate believers for a vast array of other things, e.g. dictating morality for all humans and electing presidents of very powerful countries. Human egoism created institutionalized religion, and humans with huge ego's know best how to use religion to their advantage.

In spite of admitting this I find that Christians as a group, are an easy mark. Though Christians come in many forms and shapes, still we as a group, are made to be the negative focus of every evil or selfish deed committed by a variety of religious institutions for centuries. Often by statements as the one about. This is not fair and I find it biased and sometimes quite ludicrous. It is the same attitude some black Americans have, expecting modern day Americans to feel guilty for the slave trade or making modern Germans feel guilt of the Holocausts. In this I find your line of reasoning problematic, and rather sound like a desperate attempt to figure out how it all happened. Seeing that we all have free will it seems evident that all the above atrocities are committed by people, not nebulous groups all branded Religion or Christians. People did these things, they often used religion as a guise but it was people not Religion who did it. Religion just gave them a sheath for their dagger. This reference to large groups of diverse people under one common denominator, helps reinforce a very negative stereotype.

My issue with you, aside from the above (and yes I do have an issue ) is not so much in you line of argument, but more in the conclusions you seem to draw from the various points you bring up. I have read your web page, and still find it very very interesting and applaud you, for doing something so noble with your life, not many people attempt that, and I truly hope and pray that your book will be read by many, yet I also truly hope and pray that those who read it, will understand that this is only your opinion, based on your research of cause, and in no way the ultimate truth. You rightly point out the language issues the word conundrums or how you call it, but your conclusion is very dogmatic. The Bible is fake as far as being historical, Jesus never existed, the Jewish nation is a fiction etc etc . This is all based on linguistic research. Even if I could come up with absolutely no other conclusion either and agreed with yours, it is still only a conclusion based on a guess. You found a very fascinating side to the Bible, and why it is the way it is, is a mystery. Yet no matter how many people try to solve a mystery and fail, it still does not prove it cannot be solved, all it proves that the ones who tried so far could not do it.

I remember Robert stated, so many moons ago, in that long forgotten thread where we first met, that biased arguments has no place in a discussion of facts. In other words archaeological articles books etc written by "believers" could not be admitted as proof, unless the authors proved him or herself unbiased (read: Not Christian). I understood that very well. Though I had not really thought a lot about it it, certainly it was a good point, that a biased individual often does not arrive at a true judgment on various issues, but instead tend to get sidetracked into feelings and beliefs, etc and eventually loose their validity and luster. However this very notion is bias in itself, and it seemed to me, that this is often the case with opponents of faith as well adherents, maybe even you.

This is a discussion forum, and I am sure that you have heard many slants against faith, brought to the table in various unfair and non factual "packages" . It seems however, that this type of bias based on un-religious attitudes, is a lot more acceptable among people in general, and that people who are religious, who confess faith and various beliefs systems are, as we see in the world today barraged, by an onslaught of aggression, often fueled by entirely wrong reasoning and equally destructive bias, of every kind. All of it seems to be leveled against "Religion" and not individuals yet it damages hearts and minds of individuals only because Religion does not feel it.

That brings me to us Beth. Lets just say that we were married or if you cannot bring yourself to think that thought, then brother and sister (indulge me in this most unlikely metaphor   ). How would we work things out? Our way of thinking seem often to be very close, yet at times we seem to be almost enemies. For my part, I think I have been too sensitive. Some of the statements I heard from you in our early years hurt me deeply, (boo hoo) and your continual insistence, of having a superior academic knowledge just irritated the heck out of me, however, deep inside I knew that you were worth listening to, but instead of getting over it, and look for the good, I took up the glove and addressed you in an aggressive or even at times arrogant way, the same way, I felt you addressed me. Though I knew ( I think I knew   ) that you never wanted to willfully cause me harm as an individual, I did not seem to be able to rise above my own sensitivity and hurt feelings. A human condition I would say.

On the other hand, my own teasing and arrogant ways most likely stirred up the same feelings in you. Maybe you felt slighted, put down or worse, believed I was out to hurt you and you in turn, as people do, defended yourself. Instead of patience and taking things slow, you rolled out the "academic cannons" and blasted away, and I in turn reacted badly. This is how people in general start slipping, slowly down the slope towards a divorce or whatever. Folk¡'s who were once attracted by someone different than themselves, often stagnate in their own world, Pride and Ego, slowly but very surely separate those who could be really good together, and disaster for a family, and sometimes kids, is the result.  This can happen to people on a personal basis , people as groups, political parties, countries or even adherents of various religions. The lover becomes the enemy, the freed becomes the captor the abused becomes the abuser.

My opinion is still, that we should attempt to make it, that we should address each other with kindness, and consider each other points of view. We may not always see eye to eye, but we should always be able to walk arm in arm. This to me is true tolerance, and I admit freely that looking back at 52 years, I have shown far too little of it in my life. I am however attempting to learn. Taking time out often helps me, and sometimes I do this when I answer your post, however sometimes I still fall prey to my own male ego and ........ well you catch my drift, I am sure. Just recently, when you called me passive aggressive and insinuated I was mentally ill, was one of those times. Yet I still come back to you, here on the net Beth. You still fascinate me and I love you for what you are. ( I am not trying to get mushy or hit on you here but still engaged in my metaphor).

All that said my main issue with you, with Robert Bruce as well as Frank Adrian and a wide variety of learned and wise people, is that I think that they do not understand the world as I do you do, they do not see what I see, nor have they experienced what I have experienced. As a Christian ( probably a bit toward the mystic or Gnostic side) I draw your history books and source material into question, the very root of your argument, as you do mine, and I have every right to do that, neither of us are above that, as we do not have any witnesses video clips or what have you. I do not accept, that history books and archaeological evidence is ultimate and unquestionable. I am not a scholar, but the Internet is a very big place, and it becomes more and more evident to me, that what appears to be is not necessarily so.

My God (If I could call Him that ), or my definition of God is a force who is actively engaged in this treasure hunt we all seem to be playing. Evidence can be hidden only later to be found, tracks can suddenly appear where there were none etc. Remember the Dead Sea Scrolls hid in that cave for a long time. None of us know what really took place back then, not 4000 BC 30000BC, nor hardly 325AC, what was written, still has to be interpreted by modern man. Josephus could be a liar, and Origin could be a writer esteeming political correctness more important, that telling the truth, or worse yet a fraud or fake. These are your idols, on whom you build your faith, just as others are mine.

We do have circumstantial evidence however, and from that we try to piece a picture together. Faith does, in my opinion always becomes the critical mass. Faith, belief feelings and personal experience is often used to bridge this very deep chasm, since it IS ALL WE HAVE. Without faith it is impossible to understand and define, things like God our past as well as our future...... anything. Faith shapes our lives, as sure as a potter shapes a clay pitcher. This applies to me and you as well.

This is a deeply troubling problem, for those, who because of their individual preference feel better, when things are under control, defined and in neat small or large boxes. Many religious folks are much like that, and academics are not far behind. I would venture to claim, that the experiences that you had as a young girl, be they with arrogant hypocritical pastors or even well meaning, loving yet misguided family members, or what have you, whatever you have gone through, can be observed in universities and schools, of higher learning the world over, not to mention political parties New Age groups and even yes......the AP Forum, everywhere people meet communicate and exert influence.

As I see it, we should all agree, that the only view we cannot accept, is the view of an individual, who because of personal gain, preach teach or influence people, in the wrong direction.......knowingly. Those who "with feigned words make merchandise of men¡" "white painted sepulchers, all pretty on the outside and inside full of dead men's bones". Those who do not want the truth, but instead seek to manipulate others knowingly, and for personal gain, be it financial, emotional, or whatever. Those we should all shun, for they do not seek the truth, but fight against it.

The rest of us should attempt to share our life experiences religious or secular, learn from each other, and not get caught up in "the game"

I look forward to your answer.

As always

Sometimes the greatest ability one can have is a sense of humor, about serious things. The ability to laugh when we feel all muddled up and so self righteous about ourselves and others. How about a few jokes to lighten things up in this very sober corner of the pulse.

I heard this yesterday from a 12 yr old son of my friend. I just about fell over laughing. I was with him in our car and the conversation went something like this.......

Pete: Hey by the way, did you know that the Nazis killed 8 million Jews and a clown

Me: Hmmmm.  (I knew he was up to something) a clown who was the clown

Pete: See I knew it no one cares about the Jews

I know silly but ..............I guess that's just me

Well I thought that in the light of the fact that its the new year I would start to talk to myself a bit. IT seems that folks always do that when they get a bit older and so at.....52 I should fit the bill. So this is a thread solely devoted to talking to myself. If you do post here and I do not have a problem if you do, but please be prepared that I might ignore you. This is MY spot. :-) A place all on of my own where people can truly see and delve in to the lunacy that is......................... my mind. Well lets get to it......nah I am too tired maybe in the new year...........or some other time......I always had this thing for flighty ideas and never was good at following through. Wonder why. Its like the OBE thing. One should thing I was rearing to go but truly I am pretty bored with it. Life is actually a lot more fun than traveling, and besides I look old when I am asleep. The Astral wildlife is pretty tame and once the fear was over all that was before me was the big blue ocean. Someone said that sailing is 90% boredom 5% unimaginable happiness and 5 % sheer terror. Sounds like OBEs. I even stopped writing my diary of conscious exits at exactly 577. Whats with numbers anyway. Well happy new years another wonderful year under the belt. Lots of fun to come. I am taking on a new project, traveling around the world to meet the posters. That's sounds like a lot of fun. Starting in Miami...........anyone here. then on to Georgia and who knows. I will keep track and records and take pictures..........wanna meet. My wife is coming along for the ride just to keep me safe.

I wrote this post but posted it probably in the wrong place, I have some questions about the phasing model  for you all.

Ok Now I ain't no mystic, never claimed to be one. I would however like to ask all you guys to explain me something.

You say that Monroe Bruce and others who you now term Mystics were wrong, no such thing as out of the body. 3 years ago when you were all just experimenting and someone came with such a claim he was met with ridicule, but now you have the very convenient Phasing Model (thanks Frank) to lean to and now suddenly the "Mystics" are out and you, all the "more enlightened people" rule. Your model of explanation the latest and most progressive model is the "in" thing.

It seems logical to me however, that your model, your belief system or non belief system (which is just another form of belief albeit negative in nature), is just another model to explain something we seem to not understand. What makes you right Frank or Adrian and whoever, and what makes Monroe Bruce etc wrong wrong. If you have the holy grail please let us know. Why should we believe a word of what you say, are you not just another guy with all the answers another Mystic trying to sell his "charms" packaged in nice books fancy titles and catchy advertising, and as I asked in some other thread, how does this attitude of selling the truth look on your karmic records.

I am seriously interested in this debate and I am curious if you will take this debate or delete my post. I know that whoever posts here are not allowed to question or criticize the moderators- so lets see. What do you think Nay Gandalf and all you others ................. how are we doing on the pulse. ?? Still fighting for the truth??? or what.......

Dear Adrian
Someone just posted the most horrendous thread in my name with my signature. I had the idea to go in and delete the post but the headline is still there. If it would at all be possible, please let everyone know that the security of the board was breached. I did not post that vile thing. Adrian you know me, at least a bit, I would never post anything like that. I ask that you please clear this up, thanks

A while ago I had a very interesting conversation with a very wise man, who said the following

Realization is absolutely essential to enlightenment. Enlightenment cannot occur without the staggered realization process. One can become close to God in many simple ways, yes, but one cannot become enlightened through this because enlightenment is a direct result of the realization process. They are indivisible

I have since had many changes in my life and still come back to this point as a sort of a big question. I have always believed that by Living in Love man takes on the Spirit of God so to speak, and become enlightened by this love, but is there another enlightenment. A mental or shall we say a intelligent steered enlightenment of sorts. I have recently read a book by Martinus, that seem to state that enlightenment "by the brain" is not the "right way", and leads astray. I enclose a link and would be interested in hearing your take on this.

I just had the most surprising experience. My room mate is a Muslim and asked me to talk to some fellow Muslim friends of his he had invited socially. After having tea they started a virtual "conversion barrage" and absolutely buried me under arguments after arguments in the most aggressive and unfair way. Mocking christianity and democracy etc. The aim was to convert me to the Muslim faith.

After having sat there for a couple of hours stunned that my friend had set the whole thing up, and after having been spiritually drained by 4 guys all very aggressive (and actually come to think of it quite hateful) I was able to "escape", by claiming having to pick someone up at the train station. It was a most enlightening experience. I found out they are members of a semi militant Muslim faction in my country being investigated for links to terrorism.

All that to say that manipulation conversion and spiritual abuse is not only a Evangelical "virtue" nor is it only practiced by Mormons or JWs it is alive and vibrant in the Muslim community as well.

Well that may seem to some a very silly question, nevertheless it is a very important point. I have been on this site for a long time and have seen various threads either attacking or defending "Christianity".

It seems that Christians are the focus of a lot of negativity and some are hurt by the very strong criticism leveled at them. It is however obvious that a very particular branch of Christianity, the Fundamental movement, have taken on themselves the cross, and see themselves as the only "real" Christians. A big part of their activity on this site is quite surprising. While they claim to be the real Christians, they engage at times in very unchristian activities.

The scriptures state "Judge not lest ye be judged", yet they seem to judge others not only occasionally, but on a ongoing basis. The scripture says Love people into heaven, yet they seem to do the opposite, damn people into hell. The very aggressive and judge mental attitude they seem to consider "Christian" or "defending the Faith", is such a offense to people here that most reject their message, and though these people do not feel remorse full about it (I know that guys  :D ), these same Christians don't seem the least sad that they are "going to Hell" in a handbasket.

All this has led me to conclude that the problem is in the definition. Jesus himself is recorded to have re defined a similar issue in the Bible when confronting the ones claiming to be the Children of Abraham, the organized religion of its day the Jews

John 8
If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him.

So there it is. They defined themselves as Gods children, the defenders of the faith, the righteous and saw themselves as the ones who knew God well enough to speak for God. As we know they later killed Jesus after being exposed. He seemed to often talk about an enigma, the fact that some were so zealous in their Faith that they even thought that "killing others was doing Gods service". Yet it seemed that Jesus were aware of the fact that definition was of importance as seen below.

Matt. 7

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

So with this I will end and be glad to get your input. What is Christianity and who can call himself a Christian. As for my own definition, a Christian is a believer in Christ as Gods Son, dying to save help heal and most certainly to Love people into Gods presence.

James said it in a different way but none the less very fitting

James 1:27 - Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

I apologize for the long post

Thought this was just about right.
For all of us who feel only the deepest love and affection for the way computers have enhanced our lives, read on. At a recent computer expo (COMDEX), Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated, "If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25.00 cars that got 1,000 miles to the gallon".

In response to Bill's comments, General Motors issued a press release stating: If GM had developed technology like Microsoft, we would all be driving cars with the following characteristics (and I just love this part):

1. For no reason whatsoever, your car would crash twice a day.

2. Every time they repainted the lines in the road, you would have to buy a new car.

3. Occasionally your car would die on the freeway for no reason. You would have to pull over to the side of the road, close all of the windows, shut off the car, restart it, and reopen the windows before you could continue. For some reason you would simply accept this.

4. Occasionally, executing a maneuver such as a left turn would cause your car to shut down and refuse to restart, in which case you would have to reinstall the engine.

5. Macintosh would make a car that was powered by the sun, was reliable, five times as fast and twice as easy to drive -- but would run on only five percent of the roads.

6. The oil, water temperature, and alternator warning lights would all be replaced by a single "This Car Has Performed An Illegal Operation" warning light.

7. The airbag system would ask "Are you sure?" before deploying.

8. Occasionally, for no reason whatsoever, your car would lock you out and refuse to let you in until you simultaneously lifted the door handle, turned the key and grabbed hold of the radio antenna.

9. Every time a new car was introduced car buyers would have to learn how to drive all over again because none of the controls would operate in the same manner as the old car.

10.You'd have to press the "Start" button to turn the engine off

I have believed the following for a long time any comments.!!!

Lucifer believes himself to be special. He wants to be worshipped as God. According to Christian tradition he was created with Music instruments embedded in his body. In this day and age music is a serial of signals appealing to certain Spirits. The negs have their seqence and the Spirit of God has his. Your desire tells what side you are in touch with. This is only the music not even the lyrics.
Hard driving beats drumms and heavy rythmic strumming vs soft tones harmonies etc

In my view everything reflects. The spiritual the physical all hangs to gether. The desisions we make here is translated and become desisions in the Spiritual. What is a storm? I know what it is in that physical but how about the astral. I learned from bruce that OBE during storms with lightening is dangerous and instinctly believes he is right. Why is that?? In Christian thought neg forces rule over the wind. The prince of the power of the air. Does negs rule Isabel.

Dear Beth I realise you are busy, so I can wait but I am very interested in those translations sheol hades and gehenna as well as aeon meaning a age, commonly translated to Forever!!!. My Greek is very lacking and I understand only the most basic. These words are pivotal in many many church doctrines and certainly in regards to "the judgement of God" . I have a sneaking feeling that God is a whole lot nicer that we think[;)]Maybe he has something up his sleeve

I have a question.! This afternoon I had a unusual experience. I was trying for a OBE and after doing energy work and praying for half hour I suddenly "snapped" to. It was not a OBE but it was like it often happens with me a buzz of vibration and almost a crack or snap like a rubberband breaking and my "eyes" opened under my eyelids. I looked over to my right and there on my bed or bunk( I live on a sail boat ) stood  ......a color full flashlight or (torch to aussies) it just stood there almost illuminated and the colors were the colors of my native flag. Quite striking. Nothing else in my view . I looked at it intensely for about 2 minutes and then I snapped back sort of sucked back rather and the vision disappeared. I laid there for some seconds and a muscle spasm sort of rippled through my body(does that happen to any of you?) Well that was it. I have been planning a visit to my home country and hope to leave in a few weeks but something is holding it up as I am waiting for some paperwork. I was mainly wondering if any of you have the muscle spasm thing happen to you as I expect the flashlight is for me to figure out.

I have been trying to focus on using a pulsation tecnic, and it seems to be working. I am not very experienced in this stuf and most of my OBEs come without much effort when I lie down to rest without being sleepy. Anyway I was just lying there and found that it seemed as if I could sort of bounce energy off my different bodyparts. It sounds strange but it is like I tighten a muscle only I dont. I can sort of roll or bounce this energy or whatever and make it come from lets say my left foot left knee left hip  and so on I think I am working on the conbcept RB talks about in the NEW energy chapter but I am not sure. Sometimes when I do it I get all caught up in it and its like a balancing/juggeling thing. Quite a nice pass time till I start drifting. ...........Ha I just read this over and it sounds very funny, but it is hard to explain for a non English speaker.Does anyone else use this tecnic or anything similar.

I actually just had something similar to that happen to me today (and I've had it happen before).  I was taking a nap, and the vibrations came, and trying to force myself out wasn't working, so I just decided to wait.  I remember getting out, and I met some girl (though I don't know if she was an astral being, or just a figment of my imagination), and then I woke up.  I decided I should write my experience down before I forgot it, so I picked up my laptop and started writing down what I could remember.  Well, as this was happening, I realized that my room looked really weird.  My bed and my laptop were the only things that looked the same... one wall was made up of a tall chain link fence with barb-wire on the top of it, and then the wall where my door was just .. nothingness.  So then I woke up from THIS dream, or whatever it was, and then the vibrations came back.  So I'm not quite sure what to make of it... I think maybe I got out, and then had a lucid dream afterwards.  For some reason, though, I think the girl I met wasn't a dream, because she told me her name, and I can't remember anybody in my dreams ever having a name before.

I think maybe the reason for this is because while I was waiting for the vibrations to stop, I must've fallen into a kind of half-sleep, had a dream, then woken back up to the vibrations.. or something.  Oh yeah, and I don't even remember what it was that I was trying to write down in my dream.  Probably something really important that I'll never remember now [;)]
