An interesting experience happened to me last night. I remember going into a dreamless sleep and then "awaking" to see a part of my room in black & white with an intense flashing which was almost like a graphical glitch in a video game. (Note: the part of room could be seen from my position in bed) During this experience, I was aware that my eyes were closed as I literally felt they were. This entire experience was short lived probably lasting 6 seconds or less. This was the first time this sort of thing happened to me that I can remember.

Thanks for reading my story, feel free to give me any info into what kind of experience I had.  :-)

Have any of you had an encounter with a loved one or perhaps a friend during your out of body experiences? Were they genuine? What did they look like? How did you know it was them? THANKS!  :-)

I personally never astral projected before, however I am open to the whole phenomena being real, but not one-hundred percent. What happened that made you fully believe that this was real. How did it change your view on life in this physical realm? Thanks!

When you astral project, have OBE's, or whatever, is it possible to go to a place in this physical realm you've never been only to visit that exact place while in your body? For example, you astral projected to a mall somewhere in your city that you never been to yet or seen whilst in body, woke up and then found the exact mall you astral projected to.

A little experience I had some-what similar to this would be when I remote viewed/phased(?) to a hall way for about 5 seconds. I'm positive I never seen this hallway before in "real life". It was the most realistic and vivid thing I ever seen while I was "asleep" and it came out of nowhere. I know now that when i'm in a very relaxed state right before falling asleep I get images of random places in my head that seem to increase in vividness.

Consciousness is a strange thing isn't it. Thanks :)

In my research(i'm still a newbie in this) I found out that people often astral project in to a place called "Real Time Zone" which is supposedly very similar to our own realm but not the same- has differences. I am wondering if anyone had a out of body experience and saw precisely that they were in the exact environment as their body, therefore perhaps, hearing or seeing cars go by their house, seeing living relatives or people going about their daily life, ETC.

An example of this, would be an OBE during a Near death experience people claim to have in which they see(often in an upper perspective) doctors and relatives around their seemingly dead body. But, the focus of my question is on OBE's caused by a meditative state. Thanks!

Hello People, to start the story off, I had a nice cup of sweet gale tea last night before going to bed. Sweet Gale is supposed to make you have lucid dreams, I tried this tea several times, but last night it was closer to my bed time. When I become relaxed, I am able to have very clear thoughts. This was the case last night and I had thoughts of my late father who passed away two months ago and had a feeling of love for him, and everyone, and everything in existence as I would sometimes have, so these kinds of thoughts and feelings while trying to get to sleep are quite normal to me.

Anyways, I started to drift off to sleep and this is where these experiences happen. From what I recall, I was in a dream-like state and I lift myself out of bed but it felt as if there was a weight on me- that's the first thing that I remember happening. Next thing I remember is getting up in a dream to hear someone moving around in the house, so I went to investigate to find out that this someone was my dad. In the dream he looked fairly realistic to his physical form and I went to him and kissed him or hugged him or something( the dream was some-what vivid but not the best). I followed him to the living room area and that's when I asked him "your not my dad aren't you?" and then he said "I am the Grinch!" and then he turned into a animal  balloon. It was quite bizarre! haha.

The dream ended after the so called "Grinch" turned into a balloon. However, I was still in between awake and sleep and during this I hard a bunch of strange voices. The voices seemed to be very garbled with a bunch of gibberish and I could not pick up any English words at all. After, that I woke up and that's it.

This is one of the strangest experiences I ever had whilst asleep thus far. Did anyone ever have a similar dream and semi-sleep experience before or know the meaning of it? Thanks for reading my experience story.

Hello all. New here and I want to share with you guys a couple strange things that occurred to me whilst I was sleeping. Now, I never astral projected before(that I can remember anyways) however, one night last i believe I came close with even trying. I was sleeping and had a dream- or maybe several dreams before I, out of the blue, became semi conscious. All I "saw" was darkness and heard this loud static buzzing sound which actually some-what scared me and I tried to wake up but couldn't. This whole can't wake up from this buzzing darkness was short lived and i woke up from it soon after still scared with my heart thumping! This occurred earlier this year. My second strange experienced happened just nearly 2 months ago. I was drunk when i went to bed this time(both times at night) and fell asleep quite easily, but woke up sober three hours later and had trouble falling back to sleep like a few time before, so this was rather normal. Since i had a case of insomnia, I decided to wait it out until i actually felt sleepy again, this wait lasted to almost daylight when I started to drift off to sleep again. Whilst asleep i became conscious and I saw a wavy light like motion similar to what you see when you look up at the surface of water when you underwater wearing a mask or goggles, only this was darker and smokier i guess. This gave way to a clear-as-day hallway or corridor. This hallway appeared to be poorly lit with all sorts or stuff laid on both sides of it( i didn't get a chance to get a good "look" at the stuff). The hallway reminded me of a what you would find in a abandoned or run down office building or hospital, but it seemed to stretch on as i saw no end. This vision lasted prob. 6 seconds and i awoke in amazement. I have no idea what the significance of the hallway was but I never ever had a experience like these prior! Thanks for reading. If you have any info on the two experiences i recently had, please let me know. Once again, thanks!!
