Ok, so first of all, as not a bit of the half of the quarter of the info on those "ki-sites" is real stuff, and only a little practice in energy works make it clear (like filling your body with ki and move to get a ki-clone etc - total crap) Secondly, i indeed have experienced what they usually call a limit break, and many times when i was in the athletic team of my college. But it has nothing to do with ki but with the mind : you want so much to win that you forgot your pain etc but it can be dangerous as you can have heart problems.
What the ki practitionner must understand is that the body isn't just a receptacle for ki, it's a mecanism. Therefore you can't handle more ki or energy that your body is made for. Thus, it takes a lot of time to get more ki, with RB's NEW system for example, and it's not like if there was something blocking the access for ki in your body that you could remove. You body takes all the ki his made for. Therefore, no limit break.
Also, the aura is not the ki, the aura is the glowing manifestation of one's internal energetic processes. It's a manifestation. To get a wider aura you don't need to send more energy into it, but to get a better inner energy mecanism, to stimulate your nadis so they can carry more energy. Then only your aura will grow.
And the fact that the aura of people about to dying is big doesn't mean they have super-powers btw, it only means that there is an important energetic agitation in them, preparing them for death. So having an aura as big wouldn't do anything much for you.
Another time, it's not the aura that make the power but the power that makes the aura said more clearly.
And i think that living a life where you persuade your mind that you're about to die isn't really joyful ...

Moving energy outside one's body in any shape you choose is of course possible. Shooting it in a beam (although not visible) is also possible. Blowing buildings up is possible, though it would take about 200 years+ of training[]. And I also have yet to see people shoot eachother down with invisible blasts of energy. An energy blast helps with quick concentration and external energy control I guess. But a lot of veritas stuff is just like other ki sites like the Underground. Fluffy, bullcrap, or simply not explained right.

Filling your hand with one's internal chi energy is a concept derived from martial arts. I only know this because of sketchy information from a friend who does kyokushin, and he doesn't believe in those stupid sites about going super saiyan. I've also heard some other martial arts mentionings of energy, such as this huge society that teaches "traditional" aikido using ki(PROPER Ki, kiddies, not gokuh4178's Ki[]).

But if healing is possible and increasing one's athletic abilities using energy is possible (taken from NEW Energy Ways []), then why not making a punch hurt a little more than normal?

Psionic beliefs don't interest many. They are way too materialistic and most "psions" out there explain things with science way too much. I personally believe that all energies in the universe aren't "byproducts" of anything - energy isn't really created or destroyed, is it? Usually energy is transferred and transformed.

Ki is the exact opposite. They put too much faith into what they do. Not that that is a bad thing - but their faith extends too much and they get fooled by morons running around pretending to be Goku.

Actually, this forum has good posts. It says energy development and that's exactly what it is for. But of course there are many who come here (including me at one stage) who thought it was a place for developing ki/psi skills.

In the end it doesn't really matter what you believe. We are all using energy in one shape or another. I sort of look into psionics from time to time, but I dislike most psion's attitudes and their explanations for things lack open-mindedness and depth(e.g. Psi is a by-product of when the nerve systems fire. To rephrase that into something open-minded? "Psi is POSSIBLY an energy by-product of when the nerve systems fire." That's what I would like to see more often). But I have used some "psionic" abilities like telekinesis, however that seems to be failing me at this stage.
