Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Eyes open
February 23, 2004, 02:43:13
Well, your "eyes" do not open as such. I know that this is an obvious point to make but it is nevertheless important - no part of your physical body is involved in this process.

It would be more accurate to say "when can I expect to visually perceive things whilst OBE", but hey, I'm just being picky.

Typically, you can expect to "see" your surroundings at any point from the onset of vibrations, through to lifting out of / leaving your body, and on to actually moving around in your immediate environment.

It is not un-common to project and find that your vision is quite limited / not up to scratch. Common wisdom here is to demand vision by voicing something along the lines of "Vision now!", but for me the success of this technique has been hit and miss...though when it has worked, I must admit the results have been spectacular.

Also it is not uncommon to project and find yourself blindly staggering around your room. Again, most agree that the lack of sight can be resolved through will, but this is often easier said than done !

So, to summarise : This "spiritual world" can become visible at any point during the OBE process. Sometimes it stubbornly remains invisible. IMO, for you to progress, you need to become aware of the space around you after the vibrational state, and realise that you are no longer held within the confines of your physical body.

Rutantia, shamanism is a big topic.  Are you interested in historical shamanism, the way things have been done for centuries and more ?   Or are you interested in an evolving shamanic way, the way outside the box ?  Info on the first is everywhere today,  there are thousands of books for that.  But the second one comes from directly experiencing your Self,  if it's in you it has been there since birth.  Few shamans are 'made'.  Have fun with it.
