A few months back I put up an introductory post describing an experience I had while sitting in my comfy chair. It can be read here. Since that time I have extensively researched this topic, and my library is quickly becoming dominated by esoteric works. I have read much of Robert Bruce's works and actually own all of his printed material. The Revised Edition of Astral Dynamics and Energy work are great. I have been using binural beats and meditating almost daily.
Back in November I felt vibrations. Massive vibrations. They were so intense that I thought I was in the middle of an earthquake. But since that time, I have never experienced them again. It's almost as if the sensation of "vibration" has been replaced with a "rotation" or "spinning". It's sort of hard to explain, but it's like there is a "pivot point" directly on my xyphoid process (bottom of the sternum), and it feels like my entire body is rotating in 1080 degrees around this point. At first it made me dizzy. Now I can allow this feeling to occur usually after about 5-10 minutes of meditating, I can even decrease or increase it's intensity.
The question I have is, Is this "rotation" the transitional state? I have read that there are various sensations associated with it, and that not everyone experiences the vibrations in the transitional state. I have tried to "exit" multiple times during this, and every time I try, the intensity of the sensations increases dramatically, but then I get way too excited and as a result, almost as quickly as the rotation came, it goes away..
Which brings me to my second question, any idea how to be objective during this stage? It seems to me that I either get way too excited or way too scared, or a mixture of both. I feel like those emotions turn my attention back to my body and as a result, the experience ends. Perhaps this is an issue with exit technique?
I haven't done energy work or meditation every day until maybe the last month. Any suggestions?
