Hi All

I need your council:

This past Summer I accompanied I friend of mine to her spiritual community, which I believe to be a sect. Just ,,for fun" I attended a ,,Darshan" which was given by the Fe San Shakti (http://www.feuerschamane.de/fesan.html) the ,,chief"  there.

During the darshan one has to kneel in front of her and open oneself while she stares into ones eyes for about 60 sec. I did so and frankly did not feel much at all. But if there are indeed negative energies then I would believe them to be found at places like that cause, I did feel kind of a really bad vibe there.

Now the basic Question is: Is it possible this had some negative effect on me? Should I do some kind of ,,action" to reverse the effect (if there is any?)

Or what do you think? Should I just forget about it?

Thanks guys ;-) Tom

The place was:

there is no real page on English, there is only kind of a american branch of the community:

Welcome to Psychic and Paranormal! / help needed

Hello Everybody

I do have a couple of important question which I would like to ask for a friend which has some very odd experiences and I guess it would really mean a lot to her if you could help me gain some insight.
I go on and describe a little what she experiences:

If she meditates (concentrates on the breath) she very quickly feels like very far away. In this state  she strongly feels the presence of something other and that something is trying to touch her, she said she feels this very precise like somebody is standing behind her and touching her and then she starts to feel that something wants to get out of her breast!  She has to start crying without any apparent reason.. This thing in her breast tries to get "out" and her Body tries to let it go and she just passively observes this tug of war. During this she feels like she is gone suffocate. She also tried to contact that thing and not to be afraid but then feelings become even more oppressive and she feels like she can't breath anymore. After that experience her body was trembling strongly for over 10 minutes. This seems to happen every time she tries to meditate.

-She also feels the presence of dead People in some places and she has to leave cause she can't endure it.

-She has also a lot of foreseeing dreams.

She doesn't know anything about this experiences and has the following questions:

-What is happening with her?

-Can these Perceptions harm her?

-How can she protect herself from that?

-Can these other beings harm her?

-And what kind of things tries to escape from her?

-Were can she learn more about these things?

Help would be appreciated!

Thanks everybody! Tom

Hello everybody

Once again i did a verification experiment. I will just describe what happened and then we can discuss it.

Ok

Experimental Setting

My girlfriend placed a object on top of the wardrobe. This can be anything, but it should be fairly small, 3-dimensional and unique. She used things like a needle, hair clip, or a ball of wool in the past.

Why this setting?

I use this setting because  to me it seems very difficult to guess the object since it can virtually be anything. At least the chance to guess is way smaller then, for example guessing a playing card.
I also figured, it may be easier to perceive a real object compared to a abstract number for example. Also the goal of this experiments is not to proof anything but to explore the possibility of proof.

Outcome
I already did this experiment a couple of times in the past. Did it again twice this morning and the outcome is comparable each time.

Ok so here we go:

1. attempt

I awoke in the morning and still felt the sleep paralysis, so I figured this may be a good opportunity to project. I managed to "crawl" away from me body and moved to the living room (where the wardrobe is at) after about 30 sec my sight became brighter and I saw the wardrobe in front of me (the projection was weak, I almost lost focus a couple of times). I picked the bowl where the object was placed in and looked at it. To my surprise a Butterfly fluttered inside the bowl. I was aware of the fact, that it is highly unlikely that my girlfriend placed a butterfly inside the bowl, but I hoped that the real target may have a relation to a butterfly. That very moment I was pulled back to me body.

I did not move and managed to split from my body again

2. Attempt

I again moved to the wardrobe and this time remembered that Robert bruce once said, I should try to pull energy to the astral body trough breathing to enhance clarity. I did so and felt I vibrating sensation on my forehead (brow chakra)
I again looked inside the bowl and the my surprise saw a living bee that was humming there  . I clearly say the yellow orange color of the bee with black sparkles.

What was the real target?

The real target was a tube of skin cream?! even with fantasy i can't find any match between a Butterfly a bee and skin cream

Questions

-Am I doing something wrong?
- what could I do to perceive the real object?
-what interpretations and conclusions can i draw from this experiments?
-any hints, ideas, suggestions, comments?

remark

After the second attempt a flow out of the window. There a saw a freeway right behind our house (in reality there is no freeway within 3 miles)
I found this perfectly normal. It didn't even cross my mind that there is no such freeway in reality. it actually felt very familiar! perfectly normal.

Was I not enough aware to do the experiments properly?

Best Regards Tom and sorry for the long post

Welcome to Astral Chat! / very sad

I have to tell somebody.........

I live close to a nice forest. Just about 30 meters from our house stands an very old and huge beech tree. It is very likely the most beautiful tree in the entire forest (I know the forest very well). Every since my earliest childhood I went the the tree frequently for inspiration, if a had a bad time or simply to look at his beauty etc. This tree is like apart of me. I'm very much into nature, I simply love the forest. For me this huge tree have a very special aura and meaning to me.
So I said to myself that if one day somebody is going to cut down this tree I'm not going to let that happen. I'm gonna fight for the tree, chain me to the tree or something

So guess what, this morning I looked outside the window and I saw the forest warden preparing the tree for cut down!  Now I went to him and said that I find it a pity if they cut that tree down and if there is any way to stop that. He simply said that other trees will grow again and that this tree was sick any way (This is not true, The tree is perfectly healthy for a fact) and that they will cut it down now. And I was just too much a coward to do anything else
I just went back to my home and watched the tree fall from my window.
And now I fell so bad and very angry. I'm angry with myself and angry with our society. I just think our society has not respect for nature at all.
I'm so angry with our society right now that I think may be we should get erased!

Do know why I'm telling this, just had to tell somebody.

I just read the Bible and I must say I'm very confused. For example what does the term "eternal Life"  mean? It is said that one will attain eternal Life tru Jesus. I don't get it. Does the Christian believe that there is no Reicarnation? What happens to the People don't do not know Jesus, will they vanish after Death? How does the Christ picture that eternal life? Jumbing around in paradise forever singing? Sounds kind of Boring...............

Can somebody explain?
#10
I posted this a while ago in the OBE-Forum, didn't get much response. So I thought I post it here maybe somebody knows something about it:

tried an experiment this morning (after reading the following: http://forum.ld4all.com/viewtopic.php?t=4299&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=0 )and I truly can say, I'm shocked! I never have experienced something like that before.

I had an LD this morning and decided to try the falling asleep within a Dream thing. So, I laid down on the floor (inside the dream) and withdraw my senses from the dream body, what then happened was absolutely scary!
I felt like 10000 Volt thru my body, very intense vibrations and then I got very powerfully ejected from my Body. Thats simply the best word I can find to describe it. I had a couple of OBE's before but this was different. I would guess that a NDE would feel like that and I can not imagine that it can feel more real then that! I simply know that I was OUT of my BODY completely, It felt very different to my normal OBE's or any LD's I ever had. Normally I kind of feel protected, like I know, Hey, I'm still laying in Bed and can end the experience any time, sometimes I might even feel my Body breathing or something, but not this time. I got very scared and tried to reach my Body immediately. usually when I focus on my Body I snap back to it very quickly but this time it took at least 15 sec. it was like my mind couldn't find my Body. I was whirling in some Blackness (Fz) for quite some time before I fortunately started to feel my Body again. I has several false awakenings after that. I'm still confused.
Chances that I just dreamed it are remote cause it felt more real then any dream I can remember. It actually felt more real then I feel now.
I had several OBE's in succession after the experience. maybe an energy excess?

has anybody experienced something like that? Is it dangerous?

Thanks Tom

Welcome to Dreams! / dream control
April 14, 2005, 06:32:54
How can I improve my dream Control? I can fly and be very strong if I want but I can not create things out of nothing or freeze People etc...

My idea was to picture myself being in the holodeck (Star Trek) and to give my orders to the computer: Like "Freeze People" "create Knife" etc..

But it doesn't work! Somehow my subconsciousness does not believe me. Any hints how I can gain more Control or Trick my Subc?

Thanks Tom

If I finally mange to slip out of my body I usually end up in the RTZ, soon after that I usually walk thru some door or something and end up in what I believe to be  FoC 2 (referring to the phasing model by Frank)  I usually can't notice any difference between this and my LD's.

What do I need to do to reach FoC 3 or even FoC 4? I really would love to visit this "places" but I have no clue how to go there?!

(I apologize if this question has already been answered)

Then there is something else that bothers me........................

Last time I had a AP I decided to fly into the sky, to see where this will lead me. Soon after I take off a strong wind captured me and pulled me up into the sky, after a short travel I found myself at a utterly strange setting.
It was a very strange little building with a small room inside. I soon found myself inside the room. the room was very small and had no openings to escape no water inside just a dried out sink, there was a huge boiler above the room the made a terrible noise. I realized that this room would lead it's inmate to a terrible death, cause he would be in able to sleep nor drink! (BTW: I hate boilers, I cant sleep when any boiler noise is around......) the scene touched me on a very emotional basis.

After I short while inside the room I couldn't endure the atmosphere and switched (do not really know how!) to a nice forest (very LD like)

Any thoughts to this experience appreciated

Cheers Tom

Welcome to Dreams! / Interesting dream
April 12, 2005, 11:29:51
I had a interesting dream last night. The funny thing was that it got frightened. Not in the sense that I had a encounter with some frightening being, no, I simply didn't notice my sister coming in my room (inside the dream) and once she touched my shoulders I jerked. I think this is interesting cause I thought that I create my dreams, but it seems kind of odd to me that I would be able to scare myself this way. Usually if something bad happens inside a dream I feel it coming. Maybe I walk thru a dark forest and then I think " Oh, I hope there are no monsters here" and a couple of seconds later a monster appears. But not this time, it really caught me completely unaware.
My conclusion is, that whatever scared my was not a part of myself, thus dreams are not a mere construct by oneself.

Spiritual Development means going from A, your current state, into B, a state you consider to be more spiritual.  Can you describe state B and why you wanna become B? What would a person in State B do differently then a person in state A?

(Sorry for writing so abstract, but I tried to keep it short and clear)

Hi

-Is there any specific time of the day when one should approach phasing?
I mean, for WILD it is usually in the morning or Nap-time, so basically whenever one is close to REM-Sleep. Is this true for Phasing as well? Is it possible to phase before sleep in the evening?

-How can I shift from Focus 2 (lets say a LD) into Focus 4?

-There are two words a have a hard time understanding and I would be happy if anyone could help me out and explain them (again), because I think they are vital to understand.
I'm talking about objective vs. subjective

-Why do vibrations prelude a traditional OBE but not WILD/Phasing?

Thanks Tom

This morning I enjoyed my 5th OBE so far.

The experience was pretty odd. One thing was. that I clearly felt my parents enter my bedroom to wake me up as the vibrations hit. I thought "oh, no!" as I felt my father pull at my bedspread , I decided to leave me body anyway and willed myself out. I found myself in complete darkness. I moved over to the living room were some light was present. My vision was blurred and I could only see a fraction of the room (like somebody holding his hands before my face) I required a clearer sight several times which helped. Still, I felt strange my hands were almost invisible, like out of tune or something. I looked around the room and to my surprise it was completely empty! wires were hanging out the wall like the whole interior decoration had been ripped out! only thing in the room was my mattress laying on the floor. I felt completely odd.
I decided to return to my body since I was afraid my parents could think I died, since they were obviously not able to wake me up. With some trouble I managed to end the OBE.
Of course nobody was in my room..................

any thoughts?

Welcome to Dreams! / LD at will

How would you tackle that goal?

Welcome to Dreams! / What does this dream mean?
February 07, 2005, 06:15:30
O.k. I'm usually to very much into dream interpretation, but these dreams caught my attention.
Almost every night I dream about somebody trying to kill me! Each time it is a different person, they have different reasons to kill me or sometimes they just seem to be mad at me or  evil-minded. It is not a pleasant feeling!
I think this is really strange cause I never dreamed things like that in the past as far as I can remember.  I mean, somebody trying to kill you is quite a strong sign/message/dream content so what you all think this could mean?

I have some LD's from time to time but it needs quite some effort from my side to have them. I had 4 conventional OBE's so far. And I'm loosing me motivation to work on it.
Sometime I doubt if this experiences are real or just a fantasy and this further reduces my motivation to OBE. I don't want to think this way but I do :(
The LD's are fun but I want more then that! It is just not enough to keep me going. I want them to have a transforming effect! I want to grow.
Should I focus more an traditional OBE's ? What are your coolest Astral Experiences?
Can somebody please help me out of this hole?

Thanks Tom

Hi there!

I would really like to change my username since it is my realname. I unfortunately choose my real name for username when I subscribed to the Astralpulse forum :( . I now regret this cause I fear for my privacy (when one uses google and types in my real name as searchterm, all of astralpulse posts appear!)
This is quite uncomfortable and hinders my willingness to speak freely about my experiences in my posts.

Is there any way to change my username without loosing my account properties like "post count" etc. ? For example can the Administrator (please!) transfer my active account (at least Password, post count, settings) to a new account?!

Thanks Tom

Hi there!

Converting Lucid dreams into Astral Projections seems to be a promising way for people like myself, who do have great difficulty to relax completely when awake. This is especially the case since LD's are way easier to achieve then conscious Projections (at least for the average Person).
I raised this subject also cause it comes up time after time and seems to interest a lot of people.

So...

-Which techniques do you think are the best, to convert a Lucid Dream     into an Astral Projection?

Please feel free to add Experiences, Comments, Advice etc...

To make a start I share My own experience:

When the LD's ends I try to lay still. If I manage to stay mentally and physically relaxed, the vibrations may hit about 10-60 Seconds after I wake up. (I only did it 4 times yet)

Below I posted The reply RB gave on the subject: (Don't fear to re speak though ;-) )

1) What techniques do you recommend to convert a LD into an OBE? (Or were can I get Info on that matter ?)

2) Do you think this conversion-approach is something promising to do?

3) Is there any certain test I can perform while out of body to unfailingly determine if I'm having an Astral Projection or a LD?

G'day!

1. One way to convert is to 'feel' for your body. Another is to fall backwards in an LD. But conversion is hit or miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

2. Yes, its worth trying.

3. The only way to be certain is to induce an OBE exit from an awake state of consciousness and then to return for deliberate reentry. The dream mind is capable of producing almost perfect OBE dreams from start to finish, eg, you'll dream you wake up then make an obe exit, etc, but its all a dream. The only way to tell for sure is if there is no break in consciousness from start to finish.

Hi there

What do you guys (girls) think about the idea of making a Sticky with the subject
"How to convert LD's into Astralprojections" ? ( Or something similar)

I thinks thats a very interesting subject with a lot of benefits for people who have problems inducing Astral Projections from the waking state. I'm sure there have already been posted a lot of good techiques and I believe it would be helpful to gather a collection of them on one thread.

Just an idea though

I don not understand the Idea of Karma in Buddhism completly, This is due to the fact that the word Karma is used in different ways by different teachings.
As I understand Buddhism. it is not about believing but about experiencing and thus knowing. Now I do not clearly see how karma fits into this. Isn't karma something one has to believe?

Lets look at an example

A child gets painfully killed by an adult.

Now what exact part does karma play in this example?

Thanks, Tom

Hello

I would like to switch from a lucid dream into the real time zone. I know that a lucid dream and an obe might be the same but I wanna go to the real time zone to see things i know and to proof the reality of obe to myself ( I'm a scientist type of a person and I wanna investigate the relationship between lucid dreams and obe's).
Is there anybody that has experience with it(switch from a lucid dream into the real time zone) and can give me same tips how to do it?
thx for the help Tom

Hi Tom I'll answer your guestions based on what I experience..

If one closes the astral eyes during protection?  I guess all would go black. I don't think I've closed them on purpose, I'm wide eyed and bushy tailed when having a OBE.

looks at one point for a lenghty period of time? Does one awake?
I don't wake up, infact it seems to have the opposite effect.  It helps things become clearer.  Now when you say lengthy, I'm not quite sure how long you mean, but I'm talking a few seconds to almost a minute and actually that seems like a long time to me, when in the astral. [:P]

looks at ones own hands? Do they melt? I look at my hands to help me not be pulled back to my physical, they have never melted but they have stretched out really long..hehe

Do Numbers mutate?
Seems to be the case for me, the darn things won't stay the original number.

Trying to see if LD and OBE have differences....... I had a dream a few months ago, where I was in a library looking up stuff on Aliens..[:P]  A guy started moaning behind me and to my left.  I looked at him and he was clutching his stomach.  I got up and before I could help him another guy showed up, I could feel myself wanting to wake up so I looked at my hands, but it wasn't working.  So I looked at the second guy and said, "we are dreaming, but I'm waking up, lets look into each others eyes, that should help" but alas it didn't work.  I think I tried to jump and fly as well and it didn't work..can't remember all the details been so long and oops, I didn't take the time to write it in my journal.[:I]

I ended up waking up and could not figure out why I was lucid yet couldn't turn it into a OBE.  I guess I was dreaming about being lucid, which sucks..[:(]  I don't think there are too many differences.  Heck, my dreams are more interesting than some OBE's that I've had..[:D]

Living in a constant state of enlightenment is  well night impossible while were are incarnate. Reaching moments of the experience are extremely well done and essentially the same if one remains unattached to the enlightenment.

Well, it's probably possibly to shatter the ego attachment via connecting to the universal energy flow (raising kundalini).
I'm not sure if raising kundalini necessarily leads to enlightenment and if englightenment leads to the raising of kundalini. Probably not, likely not even.

The observation method, Zazen in fact, leads to cessation of ego and to freedom from attachment via merging with one's being as an integral, yet individual, part of everything else. The kundalini raising rids one of the blockages in one's being and leads to a heightened state of awareness in which the ego vanishes.
The result is the same, imho, but the manner in which it is achieved differs. I doubt if it matter which path you take as ong as the path and the goal don't become new attachments along the way.

Enlightenment even as a constant state doesn't make normal life impossible after the first excess of exhilaration of the new freedom stablizes. The same goes for kundalini, imho, as well. Both are akin to a mental earthquake and initially can and will(?) cause trouble while the person gets acclimatized, so to speak.

I'm of the opinion that the extreme adverse effects and results of kundalini are due to imbalances in the experiencer not due to kundalini in itself.

i've only projected twice, but both times were through lucid dreams.  what i do (and this would probably work for you too) is this: i'm dreaming, and eventually i realize i'm dreaming, so i immediately think to myself "i'm going to astrally project" or something like that, and i do.  then i'm free to walk/float/fly/whatever around, hehe..... hope this helps

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Proof
January 19, 2004, 05:04:06
There's a common way to prove (to yourself at least) that you exited your body.

Get a playing card, do NOT look at the front of it. Tape it to a window so it is facing outside and you can't see what number and suit it is. Then when you project out of your body, look at the face of the card, go back to your body straight away, look at the card and see if you were right.

Of course, if you want to prove it to other people, it won't be as easy as that [xx(] [:P]

These experiments are very interesting and fun. What if we try and find out each other parent's names?
Just tell me your real name and location and I will look for info on you in my dreams. [:P]

Mine is Leandro, from São Paulo - Brazil.

Ah! You've got the vibrations and are ready to launch.  Congratulations!  Most people work for years to get to this state.

Check out my OBE essay (on top) and read the two chapters on the vibrations and the exit.  Maybe my techniques will help.

Good luck and happy travels!

Welcome to Dreams! / Are LD harmful?
August 05, 2003, 04:02:01
I've never heard of lucid dreams being harmful to the body at all, nor have i heard of them being used to organise memory from the wakign life.
Lucid dreams are natural for a lot of people though. Many people are born With the ability to lucid dream and often think everybody else can do the same. I was talking with a friend about lucid dreaming earlier this year. He's in his mid 20s and has never heard of lucid dreaming. When i told him what it was he said he could do it, but he thought eveyrbody could. He's as normal and natural as anybody i know too.
I see lucid dreams as being far more beneficial than harmful.
I'm not sure how valuable this link might be to you, since you say you've had at least one lucid dream, but i'll share it anyway... http://welcome.to/share-a-dream
I found that website the most helpful out of all of the others i've seen.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Any ideas?
August 05, 2003, 03:32:59
when you notice your having a LD , try simply trying to wake up easily and sitting up .. what might happen is that you have a false awakening and are then in the RTZ in your Etheric body. Try that .. I know a lot of times I try to wake up from OBEs and have a false awakening.. it brings me closer to the RTZ zone each time I believe. :) Good luck
#35
Hey Tom.

Sure, I switch from lucid dream, and project to the RTZ all the time, and it's not as difficult as it seems. The first problem though, is getting lucid dreams, and becoming "lucid" and/or aware during a dream, or a deep state of relaxation. After that, just focus your intent on knowing you are in a deep state, and have the ability to project at will, if you really try. If you are in a lucid dream, first think to yourself that yes, you are dreaming and you know it, and become as lucid as possible. Try and become fully aware, but just ignore you body and physical senses. It should be easy enough as just leaving from there, because in all reality, in that state, your astral body is just floating above your physical unattached, already projecting. You just have to be aware of this, and you can move as you like.

Some other tips to use before you go to sleep, is to prompt yourself with things such as repeating over and over "I will become lucid in my dreams tonight..." or "I will project to the real time zone tonight after becoming aware of my lucidity..." and such to the like. Those are a few of the ones I use. It might also help if you write them on a piece of paper right before you go to sleep. Hope that might have been of any use to you, good luck with your efforts.

Hello Tomodenmann
I read about looking at the hands or feet to become aware and spinning to increase clarity. I've also used the jumping method to fly in dreams thats my favourite [;)]

Let's see, 30 minutes, for 4 months?, that works out to about 2 and half days lost of your life in a futile endeavor. Find something better to do with your hands.

Hi there Tom !

There is still some disagreement as to whether or not a lucid dream is an OBE.

I look at it this way : Dream - Lucid Dream - OBE are differing levels of awareness. Fundamentally, they are the same state.

In a lucid dream, you have some control of your surroundings (sometimes you have complete control and clarity). During an OBE, you also have this control - but on top of this, you have the sensation that you are out of your body. The reality you experience can be indistinguishable from physical reality.
quote:
Every time am having a luzid dream and concentrate on my real body I just wake up.

This raises another point - the commonly held distinction between the Real time zone (e.g. what appears to be your bedroom and your world, whilst out of body) and the astral zone (many differing levels of reality and experience). It sounds to me as if you are attempting to experience the classic "float out of the body" OBE.

During a lucid dream, if you concentrate on your physical body, chances are you will wake up ! I must admit I have had no success in finding my physical body with this technique either. However, bear in mind that OBE's are not limited to the "real time zone".

hope this helps,
Mark
