Welcome to Astral Chat! / gettin' yo trance on
March 11, 2004, 20:03:35
ok, to achieve trance for you...think about something that causes you to be in wonder about...like let's say unicorns running through a field.

Focus on them and everything about them and try to play the movie over and over in your head from different perspectives. Eventually your mind should automatically start to wonder about and you should lose focus of your body. The problem I have with this method is I like what I see so much that I eventually pass out from all the good vibes running through my mind; very very hard to stay awake more than 5 minutes.

However if you can bypass the sleep issue (should be fine if you oversleep on a Sat morning or something, and then do this after that), you should be able to achieve and hold a good trance state for a good 15-20 minutes at minimum.

The Base Chakra is the physical chakra, the chakra of earth. I believe that a demon war will happen and have been witnessing things turning physical every now and then. Maybe the dread feeling is becaue what is about to happen to the physical plane.

Ok I'm going to use a little Monty Python logic here, but its pretty much all I have to work on because there is no scientific evidence (unless you want to argue near death experiences which I'm not). Anyway, there is this existance right, no matter what you argue it must have come from somewhere, some higher being or existance. Now if this existance is some kind of nonthinking, uncaring entity, then when we all die it will be just a termination of thought completely. It will be like going to sleep and never waking up (other than dreams you never remember being asleep do you?).

However, I think that this isn't the case, because I think the God that created everything made more to life than just this one life. Standard Christians believe that there is a Heaven for people who behave well in this world, and Hell to punish those who were cruel. I believe in this partially, but I think it is very naive for anyone to think that there are only two zones after death, both being eternal. Personally I would be bored to pieces if I were stuck for eternity. Rather, I think there are many spiritual dimensions. I'm not going on any proof, just raw logic of what makes sense. Heres my idea:

After a person dies, their soul is taken to a middle-zone. Its been called things like Limbo or Perguatory. Basically its a waiting room for spirits. Depending on whether your spirit is "fresh" (just put on the earth) or an older spirit (a reincarnate). [Those who say reincarnation doesn't exist I want to smack, there are currently 6 billion humans in the world, there are billions of other sentient organisms in the universe, and you're going to tell me that a soul is used ONCE, then shut away for all eternity? I doubt God is that inefficient] Anyways, souls that performed well in this world will be taken to a different plane, probably to employ the things they have learned in a different civilization, while those who messed up their lives either go back to Earth for another butt-whoopin' or for the real bad ones, taken to a hell like area for a lifetime or so. NOT eternity, we only stay on this plane for a few decades, why wouldn't it be the same with other planes?

So back to you dad, whether or not he believes in it, I think he will be taken to the spirit world, and be like "man I was wrong big time" but thats just my $0.02.

Either that or blink out as neural functions terminate (kinda makes this world seem pointless doesn't it?)

I first learned of the guardian of the threshold upon going to an astral temple site. If you need or want the link there I can get it easy enough.  I first learned of the shadow self through dream studies from books, as well as first hand dream experiences.

I was confronted with a wolf upon attempting entry to the astral temple I just mentioned. I've been meaning to get back there but I've been doing other things. There is a lot of focus this site requires.

The shadow self is very much a potential for manifestation.
I don't fully understand it all yet but I've learned that it does exist. Such as, facing the dark shadow head on, and possibly what to do about it. And seeing how it relates to daily living.

The above things have made me understand many things I've experienced in my life. Things that once was a mystery is now to the best I understand it, more like markers or sign posts of my life journey. The enities and their acts played out, are ways of directing me along the way. Still a mystery in a way, but now I'm starting to see the connection, and hopefully the purpose. It could be as simple as empowerment in daily living. So far, I'm a pretty good defensive player.
