That yo-yo feeling is a good sign, but it isn't the vibrations, they feel more like an intense tingling. I am not sure what the white light is but I have experienced it. Just this morning right before seperating I saw it..seems to come hand in hand with seperating from the physical. Of course I was startled out of it by phone and cats.
Just remain calm, I don't think it is anything to be overly worried about.

It sounds like you are there to me. Have you tried moving out of your body? Like willing yourself away? Try moving, not your physical body, next time you get to this point.
