That might be an astral entity. I'm not sure but I think.

You saw it because you were activating your auric vision with which we can also see astral entities.

Be patient and don't get too excited. Have you read Treatise on AP by Robert Bruce on this site? It is a very, very helpful piece of writing which I found extremely useful. You will find relaxation and concentration techniques there which will lead you straight to the other planes. Keep trying and don't give up!:)

I learned to see auras by looking close to a living thing (my little sister) against a white background, and concentrating fully on them without looking at them. Its harder than it looks. After a while I saw what look like flames around her. It changed colors with her mood.
