Welcome to Dreams! / Dream reality

Weird stuff... I dreamed about spending some time in a tool shop.  Then I wake up and there's a strip of duct tape stuck to my toe... ?!?!?!?!?

I swear to god.  There's no duct tape in my room either, never has been.  Is that weird or what?

If I can bring back duct tape from dreams, why can't I bring back some women too?  Anyone ever tried that?

So exactly how does one dreamwalk?  Is it an out of body thing, dreamwalkers going to that person and joining the dream via the real-time zone?  Or do they enter your dream from their own dreamworld (or you enter theirs from your dream) and if so, how do you know it's not just your own dream, where you're dreaming about their dream, and it's not their dream at all?

What technique does everyone use to get lucid, and how effective is it?  I've been keeping a dream journal and I'm at a point where I can remember most of my dreams without even writing them down, just as I can with waking memory... there's not much fading.  But becoming aware in the dream is still a problem.  I seem to accept the weirdest things.  You'd think you'd be aware you're dreaming if you found yourself in the body of a monkey chasing superman around with a torch (for example) wouldn't you?  Though at one point my torch went out, and I was just vaguely aware of consciously wanting to relight it... but it kept going out anyway.

Anyone ever use lucid dreams for mental labwork?  Like, create a dream lab and go back to it whenever you dream, and have all the stuff you created last time, still there.  Or even people, advisors?

What exactly is the dream world?  Your imagination?  Events going on in an astral plane?  While you're sleeping, you're projecting... is your consciousness projecting inside your etheric body still, or has it just shifted to a very high plane, in one of your astral doubles?  Is the out-of-body voyage just a dream then (if dreams are projections)?

Lots of questions, at least now I know which questions I want to ask.  It seems lucid dreaming is easier than leaving your body... no fear barrier to deal with, don't have to worry about getting into the right state to do it, and don't have to worry about losing sleep or being too sleepy... and you can use the dream to project, right?

Welcome to Dreams! / Dreamtime companions

I have had many negitive entity experinces which have always taken place while in the body under a state of paralisis. All but a couple have started out the same, through arousel in a dream.Upon realizing the intensity of whats happening in my dream I will become concious and immeditly appear in my bed with a massive case of paralsis going. On top of me moving quite viciously is most often the same looking creature, kinda decayed person with what looks like ciggeret burns or little piles of crap.I cant be sure.At any rate at the moment of glory for this sick thing it will spear me in the chest with what I can only describe as a massive volt of electricity, and it HURTS.Other times it will penatrate my mouth and throat, though this has only happened twice. Its been a few years scince anything like this has happened and might I add that I am glad.

I hope im not way off base here.

Anyways i've had other experiences that differ, one in which a real demon looking creature came beside me and did nothing. But I will spare you the details.I just wanted to share what happened in response to both of your posts.

Much Peace,Andy

Hey Zugzug,

Oh do I ever know what your talkin about here.In fact im splittin it into to posts. The demon stuff will be down stairs in the dream section at your other post.

I have on a couple of occasions had my bed sheets lift out and up straight. Its almost as if someone grabbed the two cornners by at the heads end and lifted it towards the ceiling while the corrners at the feet remained. What this was I cant say but it was noticed upon being awakened.I too felt comforted.
As for the light patting of hands or "thing" walking up the bed i've had this many times and would agree with Mr Bruce. However I had one unique experince that I cant explaine and will share:
I was 16 at the time and around 2 am recieved a phone call from a friend who was both under the influnce as well as out for the night all alone.[there was a distant electrial storm in the background]While talking with him A clear and fairly loud electrical sound was coming from somewhere in my room.I put the phone aside and checked for what I suspected was a large bug trapped under a peice of paper.Nothing to be found, spottles room.Back to the phone, sound countinued off and on,said our goodbyes, turned out the lights. Now I was in bed for mabey 1 minute when beside both of my feet I felt as if someone had stepped on the bed and proceeded to walk up beside my head. Were talking deep indentations on the bed.I got up turned on the lights, said"I dont need this". Off went the lights, back to bed when again something sat on the cornner of the bed, were talking human like size.
It  never came near my head so I drifted off to sleep.

What that was all about I have not learned yet.But I find the experinces similar to yours.I gotta split and will write the other post later.

Peace at all times,Andy   ;)

Greetings ZugZug!

I can see you have alot of research and understanding to do regarding reincarnation  - not that I confess to understand the subject to any great extent myself of course

It is conceptually straightforward enough in principle, but is in fact it is a highly complex cycle in reality.

I suggest you read what Robert Bruce has to say first, and then proceed with your research and understanding from there. Here is the URL:

http://www.astralpulse.com/guides/oobe/oobe_2.htm

Here is my broad understanding of the processes involved. Upon death, we initially project into the real-time zone which is a close reflection of physical time and reality. Some consider this to be the lowest aspect of the Astral Plane, others consider it to be a seperate buffer zone between the physical and Astral Planes. This existence lasts while there is sufficient etheric energy present in your Astra-Mental body. When the etheric energy expires, the Astra-Mental body then progresses directly to the appropriate Astral realms. Over time, the Astral body decays, and your details and experiences will be then added to the Akashic Record before continuing on to the Spirit Worlds to exist in Spirit form, within your Mental body. There might also be another four levels of Spirit realms above the Mental realm. At the appropriate time, your Spirit will, if The Divine wills it, be reincarnated again to the physical world, as your own Spirit in a new physical body. And thus the whole process continues. Of course, alot of other things might happen in the interim, and Karma is also an important consideration.

Best regards,

Adrian.

#1 how long have you been keeping your dream journal?
#2 how often and when are you making your mental notes to become lucid in a dream?
#3 Are you noticing missed cues, calm detailed observations and obvious self interpertations?
#4 has your dream activity increased scince your recalling and recording?

p.s. Is omni back in print?

Astral Magic: What's everyone's opinion/advice about this?

While the creation or influence over objects/places/entities etc in the physical world by apparent supernatural means is considered indeed magical, the application of same in the Astral is at least in my experience not so magical and more of a natural occurring phenomenon there. In my very limited experience thought and sufficient will power can not only influence your subjective reality in the Astral but it can actually create and destroy objects or entities. The term "Be careful what you wish for" takes on a whole other meaning there ;-)

quote:

R. Bruce mentions that you can create lasting objects or places, or even entities with intelligence, when out of body. Like the sword, for instance.

It is my understanding that indeed it may be possible to create lasting objects or entities in the Astral but I have no experience in this. What I have created or destroyed there was only verifiable to me during the time of that experience and I have not been able to go back to double check if they are still there or not.

How something created in the Astral affects the physical plane I would say is a rare occurrence as it is my understanding that you need to be very experienced in the Astral before such attempts can result in physical manifestations. I speak here of manifestations excluding the affects on your being, for it has been my experience that every Astral Projection has deeply affected me, my view of the universe/life etc.

quote:

Would a created entity help you out while you're not projecting too? And about how long would it take to make something like that solid and lasting?

The quick answer: Yes it may and how long it takes to do this is directly dependant on your experience. When it comes to "magic(k)", what may take a novice X hours to achieve, a more advanced magician could achieve in a fraction of the time. Here I speak of the creation of Astral entities from the Physical. The creation of Astral entities once in the Astral may occur a the speed of thought, but how realistic these creations are is something I discuss further in the post.

Here's a little more on the creation of entities...

(The following 3 paragraphs are but paraphrased  excerpts from the book: "Initiation Into Hermetics" by Franz Bardon)
=======
The creation of entities is otherwise known as "evocation". This is a practice that need not necessarily take place in the Astral and is a possibility in the physical world - The details of such practices can be found in many occult literature, but be warned this is not subject matter for the neophyte.

A functional entity's motives are that which your will has impregnated in it during its creation. If you choose for it to help you in a specific way, then that shall be its purpose. I repeat myself: Be careful what you wish for!

Such entities are not necessarily "solid" as they exist primarily as Astral beings even though they can be sensed in the physical without a shell/body like ours. How long their astral bodies last is primarily up to the wish of their creator at the time of creation. The experienced magician will always create an entity with a specific purpose and assign it a time of death. The time of death assigned should be either upon immediate success of its purpose being fulfilled or simply a timeframe that defines its life span. I.E. if the purpose is not accomplished within such and such a time, then the entity's existence shall cease regardless. The untrained magician who creates entities without sufficient control over them will be responsible for all their actions and pay for this with his karma - hence the destruction of the entity after X period of time regardless of success. You can always create a new one with the same purpose.

I understand the moment your concentration laxes, it goes away?

Concentration is a significant part of what differentiates between delusional Astral Projection experiences (pretty much a big part of all my experiences thus far) and the real thing. Just for the sake of completeness, as Robert has pointed out in his book, sufficient "energy" would be the other major requirement to achieving a very objective and accurate Astral experience. In fact, energy is the most basic requirement and concentration depends on it. Our ability to concentrate deteriorates in direct proportion to our low or depleting energy. This is true in the physical plane as well.

The verification of whether your projection is in part delusional or not can be achieved by you projecting back to the same time and location a second, third + times and verifying if what you are perceiving this time is still the same as the previous times. If it is not, then perhaps what you perceived the first time was likely influenced by your scattered brain (for lack of better wording). The same line of thought can be applied if you want to be sure that what you created in the Astral has remained after your experience has ended. "Simply" go back and see if it is still there.

It is hard enough to achieve a level of concentration in the physical plane such that you truly control that which your mind thinks and not the other way around (your mind thinking on its own with you having little control of this). When was the last time you were able to tell your mind "Stop all thoughts and stay quiet", and it actually obeyed you for any significant period of time?

In the Astral, your every thought has the potential to be directly translated into your will and immediate action or manifestation!

Your perceived reality with an untrained mind with countless thoughts per minute will result in a mere delusional experience. I am not by any means mocking these experiences though, for they can be beyond amazing and definitely still worth the "trip" for numerous reasons! It's just that they will likely lack in accuracy and your experience will borderline on that of a mere dream.  By this, I mean that as most everyone knows, your completely uncontrolled mind during dreaming state is able to create the unimaginable. And just as you believe this temporary and apparent reality while in the dream, the same will occur to you in the Astral - The difference being you have some level of lucidity in the Astral experience and thus may accept what you perceive as actuality the first time around.

As for how concentration affects your creations in the Astral, I would say you are partially right. When you lose your concentration, or your mind thinks and wills new events in regards to your creations, this, then shall be their destiny.  So yes, your creations may just go away or simply morph in accordance to your uncontrolled but still influencing thoughts.

Greetings ZugZug:

Here is a direct copy and paste from Robert's Treatise on OBE which can be found on the main website:

"When you leave your body for the final time, at death, this is what I believe will happen:

You will be projecting, in real time, for the first few days, close to the physical world, until your supply of etheric matter runs out. Then you will go through the second death and enter the Astral dimension. There, you will purge yourself of all desire, by being able to have anything you have ever wanted, in abundance. This is done through having the full use of your subconscious mind's powerful creative ability. Here you can saturate your every need and desire, until you see these desires for the illusions they really are.

You will then shed your Astral (desire body) and enter the Mental dimension. There you will see your past life, examine and express every thought you have ever had and every action you have ever done. There, your thoughts, memories and experiences will be added to the Akashic Record. Which is the recorded experience of the entire human existence in the physical dimension.

Shedding your mental body you will then enter the Buddhic dimension. There you will stay for timeless healing, for rest, atonement, forgiveness and understanding of self. In this world your inner wounds will heal and your soul will be nurtured by divine love. Your spirit will become whole and perfect once more.

Then you will shed your Buddhic body and enter the Atmic dimension. There you will wait in the divine presence for those you love. Then, one day, you will go on to the next level of existence; where the last great mystery of life will be revealed to you...."

Best regards,

Adrian.
