 Commentary on the Author's personal OBE methodology: Over the years I have sought to further understand as well as to better explain what it is that metaphysically, physically and spiritually occurs during the initial stages of an out-of-body state of awareness, esp. in reference to my own astral and other paranormal experiences. Many of my personal accounts of astral projection parallel with extrapolations of astral phenomena in the Classic Theosophical lexicon.

(Out-of-body phenomena) can occur naturally, without any effort, or such may be induced by intentional means. An out-of-body state can be accomplished as the result of practicing transcendental meditation methods, hypnosis and hypnotically induced entrancement, sudden near-death trauma, nervous-system strain, sensory deprivation, fasting or entheogens. Pointedly, I have experienced naturally occurring out-of-body states as well as soberly induced OBE's since long before I had ever experimented with shamanic entheogens or witches herbs of any kind. I was experiencing OBE states much before I even vaguely understood the basic chakra system. Moreover, in reference to my personal experiences with out-of-body phenomena, I punctiliously ascertain that the validity of an entheogenic catalyst induced out-of-body state is fervently no less pertinent than the implicit credibility of a genuine out-of-body state that was either naturally occurring or soberly induced.

If you are a spiritual minded person then you would most likely concur with me that human beings are undoubtedly embodied spirit-entities, and especially that out-of-body experiences are emphatically not hallucinations, utterly to the appalled disdain of the typical Atheistic Western scientist.

"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience." – Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.

In supplement to the above statement, the Author ardently emphasizes that out-of-body states vastly contribute to the emotional well being of the human experience as a whole, thereby reminding us of what we truly are as embodied spirit-entities, as well as healthily balancing our conscious sense of discrimination between physics and metaphysics.

How to soberly induce an Out-Of-Body Experience:

Stage 1: Firstly, to begin this exercise, it is advisable that you should wilfully entrain yourself to awaken during the cusp of early twilight; OR one may optionally arise between 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., as some Hindu Brahmans suggest. It is most conducive to feel considerably sleepy upon forcing one's self to awaken from a deep slumber, for it is quite imperative that you must be tired enough that you can easily fall back asleep again; yet the trick to fulfilling the OBE goal is to not lose consciousness when returning to sleep again. Comfortably lie down on your back with your arms at your sides and just relax as you intently try to retain your awareness and catch yourself at the verge of losing consciousness, just as you feel yourself begin to drift back to sleep; for therein exists a powerful gateway to consciousness that vibrates beyond the physical body. At this phase of your exercise one should direct focus upon the mid-brain region. Practicing a rhythmic breathing exercise is optional here. You may alternate your focal points between your frontal lobe and midbrain if you wish.

Within a relatively short duration of time you should begin feeling a sense of light headedness; and once felt, pay very close attention to this sensation as it originates. Specifically meditate upon wherever within the brain that you are feeling any sensations of light-headedness arise; the stronger the feelings of euphoria the better. You may feel mild waves at first, but their intenisty will exceedingly increase with extended persistence towards maintaining concentration. Gradually, you should detect feelings of electromagnetic or electric-shock like spurts of vibrations in which tingle up the mid and upper brain regions, similar to euphoric, recurring head rushes. If your concentration falters then the intensity of these electromagnetic sensations may suddenly decrease to the degree of ceasing entirely, and then you may be required to recommence the above exercise from the beginning.

You should soon notice the remarked tingly, electricity-like vibrations accompanied with euphoria beginning to elevate from the mid-brain to the upper-brain. Now, carefully shift your focus to therein. As these awesome feeling sensations persist they should drastically intensify, and when this occurs you might feel predisposed to fearing that there might be something direly wrong, or perhaps that you could be experiencing the nascent symptoms of a seizure; but fear not! These feelings are directly affiliated with alterations of those electromagnetic phenomena which moderate the spirit-ground release mechanism that the brain force-centers ordinarily seal closed. Experiencing pre-out-of-body phenomena can feel exceptionally frightening for the unprepared mind. Do not surrender to fears of the unknown lest you lose your attentive focus over the endeavored task of going OOB - (out-of-body).

Despite your apprehensions, continue to intently meditate upon the aforementioned phenomena sensitivities, and then proceed to graduate your attention to the region of your aura that is about an inch ABOVE the top of your head. Meditative visualization will greatly assist in this process.

Yes, you will soon begin to notice similar tingling perceptions of electro-static-like phenomena just above the top of your head. At this current stage you may even feel an electromagnetic pull; or otherwise rising, upward moving feelings amid euphoric ecstasy: Herein is the gateway of exit through which the prana mingled supernatural-electricity bond that intercedes between your astral crown chakra and the grounding brain force-center bond can be broken with unyielding determination.

Intently thrust your mind-spirit consciousness principle and astral crown into the perceived source from whence the sensations of rising are felt circuiting through the your area of your spiritual aura that statically vibrates just above the head of your physical-vehicle. Your astral crown will become dislodged from the brain force-center receptors which interface your consciousness through the mind-spirit grounding processes of the physical brain.

The dislocation of the astral crown chakra is sometimes associated with an electromagnetic snapping of popping sound, though this is not a physically audible sound.

Stage 2: Your higher Sahasrara crown and spiritual-consciousness-thread have finally separated from the force-center grounding EM-field of the brain and its inner-ethereal third-eye shield. There is yet one final phase to fully achieving freedom from your physical-body: At this stage, where I begin to feel a strong polarity of magnetic resistance within the naval region of my physical-vessel, and or within the center of my astral body. Some people feel this phenomenon manifesting from the heart chakra region of their physical body. In the past I have felt only minor phenomena associated with the heart force center but very rarely upon astral projecting. Now, shift your focus to the auric area that is between your physical and astral centers. You might notice a feeling of magnetic tension, pulling or the stretching forth of energy between your astral body and the inner-ethereal EM-field of your physical body, thus as your spirit separates from your earthly form: This initial level of out-of-body phenomenon culminates into manifesting what I refer to as the astral-umbilical-cord, encompassing a Sutratma-thread shift within the polarity of one's astral body.

Euphoric waves of subtle vibrations will rush through the supernatural umbilical cord, traveling between your astral center and your ethereal/ physical nervous system. Like a tractor beam, the nervous-system aspect of the inner-ethereal aura will resist against, and possibly preclude, the outward departure of your astral body if you allow it to. You should notice both protracting and retracting sensations of polarity within your astral tether. Concentrate upon the protracting vibrations in order to propel your astral body away from the ethereal tractor-beam of your physical body's nervous-system EM-field.

-    To move your astral-vehicle: Intently concentrate upon the inner center of your astral-vehicle and "will" your spiritual-self forwards; or likewise meditate upon and the protracting feelings in which you may notice within your the astral cord, whilst willing your astral-vehicle to propel forth.

-    To return to your physical-vehicle: Wilfully focus upon aligning your spiritual center with the retracting sensations which occur within the astral-umbilical-cord; doing so can resultantly pull your spiritual being back into a state of embodied cohesion with your physical-vehicle.

The astral hands: Both Robert Bruce and Carlos Castaneda had emphasized upon similar methods for implementing the astral-hands. For practicing this exercise one may optionally wear a "dreaming ring" in order to hypnotically entrain one's subconscious mind into spontaneously becoming consciously aware that one is dreaming during an ordinary dream state. This technique for mental entertainment is to instill or program a natural tendency of casually glancing at one's dreaming ring and hands during one's daily routines and amid instances of waking consciousness, which objective goal is to program one's subconscious psychic into arbitrarily at one's astral hands during ordinary dreaming states, thus resulting in lucidity. As you periodically glance at your dreaming ring you should mentally ask yourself, "am I dreaming?" One day you will find yourself in an ordinary dream as you happen to gaze down at your hands as you mentally ask yourself, "am I dreaming?" Upon doing so you become conscious that you are dreaming.

Etheric-projection and becoming stuck half in and half out-of-body:  Note that sometimes a total separation between the astral the physical and physical bodies does not occur during out-of-body states. This condition may be perceived as acutely disturbing, as one might feel as if they are paralyzed between the physical and astral planes. This unfortunate semi-OBE status may occur if the ethereal security system has been stalled during the astral cord extraction process, if the practitioner fails to break free from the ethereal EM-field during the initial phases of astral projection; or also if an astral entity is attempting to usurp possession over one's physical-vessel.

Out-of-body flight and astral cord phenomena: Whilst flying amidst an out-of-body state have you ever noticed feelings of buoyancy, or protracting, retracting, springy, or tension-like sensations in which surge along your astral lifeline; especially as you "will" your astral mind-spirit body forwards? And have you ever noticed any slight to severe nervous-system convulsions or tremors from within the midsection region of your physical-vehicle upon being jolted back to embodied cohesion with the physical vessel, after being spiritually dislocated amidst an out-of-body state? Further, have you ever experienced feelings of energetic resistance within the naval region of your physical body during the initial phases of astral projection? Clearly, the astral lifeline is a critical element of the ethereally moderated, spirit-grounding security-system defenses of the physical vessel. Once activated, the ethereal security system then triggers a tremendously powerful electromagnetic polarity through the astral cord, of which resonantly harnesses and extracts one's dislocated astral spirit-vehicle.

The art of tripping the astral umbilical cord: An OBE can be obstructed if another person disturbs the comatose physical body of an astral projected being; such interference may thereby stimulate an extempore surge of electromagnetic polarity that channels through the astral cord, thus extracting the dislocated astral vehicle back into a state of embodied cohesion with the ethereal security system of the physical-vehicle. Another means for causing an astral cord extraction is by intently or forcibly tugging against, or otherwise tampering with, the astral-cord. Toying with a dislocated ethereal double is yet another means for triggering an ethereal security system reaction that will retract the astral cord.

Feeling versus seeing the astral-cord: As for many OBE practitioners, perceptually detecting astral-cord phenomena can be rather fleeting or obscured. Depending upon one's conscious degree of sensitivity to astral vibrations and psychic frequencies the astral cord can be either seen or felt. For whatever reasons, some OBE practitioners have only the capacity to feel astral cord as opposed to seeing it, but feeling its presence may be just as effective as seeing it.

In accordance to the vast composition of information in which the Author has gathered concerning the astral-cord experiences of "numerous other OBE authors", he thus observes that the astral cord most reportedly manifests from either the naval or the heart chakra regions of the physical vessel. Perpetual controversy as to which chakra center that the astral cord manifests from yet continues amongst opposing OBE authors and Theosophists. In parlance, what if both differential astral cord paradigms of this OBE debate are applicably correct, for there could be pertinent metaphysical explanations for expounding as to why the astral-cord can be either felt or seen as emitting from different force-center locations. According to the Author's personal astral-cord related OBE experiences, he therefore perceives that his own astral cord tends to manifest from through the naval center. With adamant desire, the astral cord can be wilfully manifested from a different force-center than what the OBE practitioner normally perceives as being its source of origination.

Examples of various reports concerning astral-cord phenomena:

1. According to many out-of-body practitioners, an astral-cord can be either felt or seen as exuding forth from between the naval force-center of the physical body and its correspondent astral chakra. Naval cord phenomenon might be attributed to the fifth ray of consciousness according to one theory.

2. Numerous other adepts of astral projection have reported that an astral cord phenomenon can be either felt or seen as protruding forth from between the heart force-center of the physical body and its correspondent astral body chakra. In one theory the manifestation of the heart cord might be attributed to the practitioner being aligned with the fourth Ray of consciousness. Of course, not every OBE practitioner attests to feeling or seeing this particular astral cord type.

3. Some insist that they can neither see nor feel any astral-cord related phenomena during OBE states, often speculatively surmising with uncertainty as to whether the astral cord exists or not.

4. And yet there are those who believe that an astral-cord manifests from wherever one believes, thinks or wills or that it will manifest from.

5. Also, seldom spoken of, certain OBE officiates have mentioned of a mysterious throat chakra cord.

6. Additionally, rare accounts postulate that the astral-cord manifests in correlation to an energetic interplay that may occur between two or more chakra force-centers.

7. Finally, a few yet proclaim that an astral-cord can manifest from through the back of the head; but rumor has it that only an enlightened master can astral project without breaking the resonant bond of magnetism that grounds the astral Sasrara chakra and golden Sutratma-thread to the brain of the physical vessel. This "head-thread" phenomenon might be sustainable, but such an astral cord phenomenon is likely to be exceedingly rare in the Author's fervent opinion.

The silver-cord vs. the golden-Sutratma or spiritual-consciousness-thread: The spiritual-consciousness-thread, technically referred to as the golden Sutratma-thread, should not be confused with the astral-umbilical-cord, as these threads are but two different astral cord phenomena. In the Author's perception, certain Theosophists have attempted to discredit the silver umbilical cord by asserting that it was confused with the golden Sutratma or head-thread. This is not a plausible theorum for anyone who has directly experienced the naval cord for themselves; for though these astral cord phenomena may be interconnected within the interior of the astral vehicle they are not the same. Stately, the Author believes that the head-thread is merely a bunk, short lasting cord phenomenon for most astral travelers, as it is a phenomenon that quickly begins to weaken the further away that one ventures from one's physical-vehicle, until it finally snaps.

The Author's bunk head-thread theory: For those readers who profess to regularly experience a head-thread cord during the initial phases of astral projection:

1. Firstly, when an astral projection phenomenon occurs, the crown force-center of one's astral body will begin to elevate with will, thereby dislodging from its cohesive bond of magnetism with the ethereal-crown-chakra-inlet.

2. Next, the resistant bond between the astral crown force-center and the crown-force-center-inlet of the ethereal double, which interfaces a Sahasrara link to the brain of the physical body, is so great that it is difficult to break its resonant crown bond. During the initial phase of going out of body, the astral crown force-center partially dislocates the ethereal crown force-center inlet, pulling away from the brain interface and from the top of the head of the physical-vessel.

3. Then, a weak cord of (prana melded with fohat-electricity mingled ethereal-matter then stretches forth between the Sahasrar crown force-center and the crown chakra inlet at the top of the head of the physical body. At this stage the astral Sahasrar force-center has not yet dislocated from the crown force-center-inlet of the ethereal-double; with intent, the Sahasrar continues to separate from its energetic bond with the head of the ethereal body.

4. After that,, the astral crown begins to break its bond with the ethereal crown inlet, and an energetic cord like phenomenon then stretches forth between the dislocated astral crown force-center and the ethereal-crown force-center inlet, but temporarily. This bunk thread may weakly extend to the head of the physical body for a limited duration.

5. In resultant succession, the fohat-electrified ground that binds the head-thread cord will quickly begin to diminish in its substantial strength as the astral crown chakra continues to separate even further in distance from the brain of the physical vessel.

6. Soon thereafter, the electro-magnetism of this head-thread cord will then suddenly snap and dissipate. Hence the astral crown force-center, intact with the spiritual-consciousness-thread or golden Sutratma circuit, has finally broken free from the resonant bond of magnetism that once bound it to the spiritual-consciousness-thread-ground or brain of the physical body. Moreover, A total state of astral projection has not yet fully occurred, for the astral body has not been completely freed from the grounding magnetism in which grounds the lower astral chakras to the force-center inlets of the ethereal security system! Lastly, the astral body must be freed from the ethereal aura in order to become wholly dislocated from the physical vessel. The algorithm for this process was described in stage two of the Author's technique for achieving an out-of-body experience.

7. Finally, the spiritual-consciousness-thread, together with the astral crown chakram, will break free from its cohesive bond with the consciousness-thread-ground force-centers of the physical brain! As the bunk thread link snaps the true astral-cord begins then to manifest from the naval region of the physical-vessel, or from the heart area in others. Moreover, the dislodging of one's astral-crown chakra is sometimes accompanied by a popping or snapping sound; one may or may not notice this sound.

During the typical OBE, the golden Sutratma-thread temporarily breaks its threaded link to the brain interface of the physical vessel but remains threaded between the astral crown and the higher Koshas or spirit-bodies, interpenetrating downwards into the interior of the astral body. As with concerning physically embodied states, the Sutratma thread thread convenes directly into and along the Sushumna nadI; as with OBE states the Sutratma thread adjoins into the central or midriff interior of the astral body, in connection with the silver cord. From thence the Consciousness-thread meets with the specific astral center from which the astral cord thereby projects outwards "as an umbilical cord-like thread."

In the Author's perspective, it is misleading to believe that in order to preserve astral memory that it is unduly necessary to sustain a thread between the head of the astral body and the head of the physical body. No, the memory transfer between the disembodied mind and the physical brain occurs via subtle vibration reverberation phenomena, of which transpires when the astral head and crown chakra returns to embodied cohesion with the brain of the physical vessel; and this phenomenon has been discussed at great length by various authors of classic theosophical literature.

Exchanged frequency transmissions and reverberations of vibrations subconsciously relay transferences of consciousness and secondary forces between the astral and physical spirit-bodies, via the naval cord link, or through the heart cord link for some, whichever has manifested for the OBE practitioner. If maintaining unobstructed OBE consciousness were solely reliant upon sustaining a head-thread cord between the brain of physical vessel and the dislocated astral head, then how is it that a ghostly entity, being one who has no physical brain, can yet retain consciousness on the astral plane? A ghost has a mental discernment but no brain! Think about it! In tandem, please compare this notion with my literature on spiritual consciousness versus the physical brain for further elucidations.

The supernatural substance of the astral-cord: The Author confidently propounds that the metaphysical substance of the astral-cord conduits a current of Kama-Manas prana mingled supernatural electricity. Additionally, the astral sub-matter of this spiritual cord convenes into fohat-electricity charged ethereal sub-matter at its base, where it grounds to the magnetism of the physical vessel.  Hence the astral cord channels very subtle signals of consciousness, frequency and vibration between the astral body and the ethereal security system. Moreover, the supernatural electricity melded prana that currents astral cord is possibly polarized by the Kosha magnetism generated between one's spiritually divided astral ethereal & physical spirit-body resonances.
Amid the initial phase of an out-of-body experience, kundalini burns-open the cord-chakra seal between the ethereal and astral force-centers, esp. from whence the astral cord begins to manifest. Together, as the astral and higher spirit-embodiments separate from the physical vessel a polar shift perhaps occurs between the defusing astral and ethereal chakra connections, hence the manifestation of the astral cord. Fohat-electricity charged ethereal sub-matter forms the base substance of this astral cord. Its paranormal substance gradually tapers off into an exceedingly subtle string of astral matter in which conduits a circuit of [supernaturally electrified prana], thus extending as an astral spirit-body tether in which penetrates the sub-atomic matter of one's correspondent inner ethereal aura. According from the majority of OOB reports, this cord most commonly manifests from either the naval or the heart chakram regions of the body. An intermittent equilibrium of exchanged frequencies subconsciously transmits information through the astral-cord, as reverberations consisting of supra subtle vibration messages are transferred between one's detached astral and physical spirit-embodiments.

Astral cord defense phenomena is moderated by the autonomic security system moderation functions of the human vessel. The ruling elemental forces which maintain the health of one's physical vessel are closely interactive with the ethereal security-system sensitivities of the human body, thus monitoring most astral cord transmissions, of which reverberate as signals between astral and physical vehicles. Any disturbance of the physical vessel tends to trigger an astral retraction related cord response that initiates a tractor-beam of magnetism that surges through the astral cord from the ethereal or physical security system. Sometimes an astral interference, a psychic attack or even a distressed Kama emotion can cause cord transmissions or reverberations in which the ethereal security system sensitivities detect from through the astral cord, thus triggering the astral cord extraction defenses of the ethereal security system.
We are already well aware that prana passes through each of the force-centers from the astral to the ethereal, so prana must also stream through the astral cord, too. Also, we are further aware that kundalini magnetism regulates that prana flow in which passes between the astral and ethereal force-centers, as well as that kundalini electricity is but always subtly active within each of the force-center functions – before it is fully or even partially stirred into a state of awakening by means of pranayama meditation, or etc. Kundalini electricity is said to be present on ALL spiritual planes as well as within the Kosha spirit-bodies. You haven't studied your Theosophy if you are unaware of the above information. Kundalini is a paranormal force in which can be projected forth from its sender.

Madame H.P. Blavatsky: "KUNDALINI SAKTI. The power or Force which moves in a curved path. It is the Universal life-Principle manifesting everywhere in nature. This force includes the two great forces of attraction and repulsion. Electricity and magnetism are but manifestations of it."

If the physical body is disturbed the cord security system response will be to execute an instantaneous retraction the disconnected astral spirit body; or if the physical body signals a strong enough urge to urinate, for example, instead of releasing the urinie amidst the person's OBE state the astral cord defenses will attempt retract the dislocated astral body so that the denoted bodily function may be accommodated for. Sometimes the ethereal security system will not prevail at ripping the dislocated astral body back to the physical vessel, so it may alternatively replicate a distinct sensation to urinate within the astral body. In this event the astral body may in some instances become partially melded to state of resonant cohesion with the ethereal double of the physical vessel, but without fully returning to a state of embodied cohesion with the physical vessel. In such a case the astral body might tend to subconsciously slip back into the astral plane, possibly dreaming of urinating or likewise feeling the urge to do so. After all, one senses are felt by virtue of the astral chakras, for it is not the physical body that feels but the astral and higher spirit-bodies.

Various Eastern esoteric systems emphasize that if the physical body is disturbed during a "fully conscious" out-of-body state that one's astral cord can possibly be snapped or otherwise injured, which influence might resultantly be the cause of a seizure, nervous system trauma, or even physical mortality. Via astral cord absorption, a malevolent ghost or astral spirit-entity may choose usurp an anchoring point for taking possession of a comatose human vessel; or an evil spirit might attempt to feed from the auric energies of the incarnate spirit-being by vamping lifeforce energy from through a victim's astral cord. Also, a maleficent spirit-entity might also instigate causing discordant astral cord disturbances for the sake of doing harm to an astral projected human being. The astral umbilical cord is an expedient Occult catalyst that serves as a gateway for ceasing upon a vulnerable physical vessel.

In Theosophical Yogic teachings, a centralized, inwardly flowing current of prana enters each of the seven primary force-center vortexes, thus entering them in right angle fashions; and a series of evenly spaced prana rays emit from within the force-center vortex, undulating around the central prana stream like the spokes of spinning wheels. It is the central stream of prana that currents inwards, from the ethereal vortex receptor to into the astral vortex.

An astral umbilical cord theory: Regarding the naval force-center, there are ten outwardly flowing "rays" or spokes of prana which emit forth from around a central current of inwardly streaming prana: During the manifestation of the astral naval cord, do the ten aforementioned outward flowing prana rays possibly wrap around the inward stream of primary prana, thus channeling through a current of supernatural electricity? Is this astral-cord concept not too dissimilar to the underlying principles of an extension-cord? The Author hasn't yet observed such a theory in any other Author's out-of-body cord literature.

A possible example of an astral-cord portrayal in Vedic spirituality: Brahma is perhaps depicted in a Yantra as being spiritually disconnected from his body, thus residing within a lotus flower that is connected by a thread that recedes to the Manipura force-center of his body. Perhaps this depiction symbolizes a disembodied state that maybe emulates an astral-umbilical-cord?

Chapter 222: The spiritual planes of vibration, the spiritual embodiments and the Aura:

     Unit 1: Ancient Sanskrit terminologies for energy and correspondent energetic mediums: Prana, fohat-electricity, kundalini, the prana force-centers, the secondary chakras and the nadis.

     Unit 2: Consice descriptions of ancient chi, qi and ki related terms for energy.

Early Theosophical writings regarding the silver-cord versus later mentionings:
Neither Annie Besant nor Madam Helena Blavatsky mentioned the silver-cord to any in-depth extent, and nor did Charles Leadbeater, or the others. It seems that very little was ever divulged in regard to the astral-cord, other than the Sutratma-thread, in the classical Theosophical writings. However, great emphasis has been placed upon the astral-cord in more recent metaphysical literature.

Presented below are various excerpts from the books of many different Authors concerning the subject of the astral life-line cord:

Pythagorean and Platonic descriptions of the silver-cord: Incomplete data.

Ancient Chinese descriptions of the silver-cord: Incomplete data.

The cord of life of Puranic Eastern philosophy in correspondence to the solar plexus chakra called Manipuraka: Brahma depicted within a lotus flower, thus receding from an alleged cord or thread, to the Manipuraka center force-center of his body; perhaps symbolized as a disembodied state, and maybe displaying an astral-cord depiction?

Edgar Van Oostrum; Astral Projection 101: "Pick a point on your body. Any point will do, but I have found that the point that works best, is your solar plexus, because it's right where your astral vehicle is attached to your body".

Dr. Douglas M. Baker; Techniques of astral projection: "It is said that the cord is made of a silver like material and so long as it is patent, the astral body will always return to its physical counterpart when we awake or return to our physical habitat. There is also the suggestion that if the cord were to snap, return would not be possible. This becomes a real fear to many. In my own instance, many years back, I used to lock my bedroom door before any sort of esoteric endeavour like meditation or astral projection because of this fear. It was widely believed that any sort of interruption whilst out of the body could bring about rupture of the silver cord. Does it exist? Is there any danger linked to its breakage? I can only speak from experience. In all my many projections, I have never seen a cord, either linked to me or to another person. This does not mean that the cord does not exist. It may be that with my nasty scientific mind, I don't or won't accept that a piece of material like the so-called astral cord can be extended indefinitely, perhaps as much as two hundred thousand miles, say, to the Moon. That there is a tug back towards the physical body, I admit. That there is a feeling of linkage near the umbilicus or, in women, as Eileen Garrett describes it, just above the breasts, I will also admit but that it is a cord, that I will not accept. I always say: "If you see a cord, take a pair of scissors and cut it!"

J.D.S.; the Chakra of Exit and the silver-cord: "This last occurrence is absolutely fascinating in that the soul extension and Kundalini exist from the chakra that the person focused on the most in that lifetime. The ideal would be to leave out of the crown chakra or at minimum, the third eye. However, the soul extensions, or personalities, that were very astrally focused in that lifetime will leave out of the soul plexus chakra. If they were love-focused they will leave out of the heart chakra. If they were will- and communication- focused in that lifetime they will leave out of the throat chakra. If they were focused on spiritual sight as their main interest they will leave out of the third eye. If they were God-focused they will leave out of crown. Which chakra the personality leaves out of will also affect the Bardo experience and possibly which plane it will magnetize toward after the Bardo. It is usually the astral seed atom that leaves first, then the mental seed atom, and lastly the head seed atom. When the emotional and mental seed atoms leave, one is no longer conscious of the Earth plane. When the head seed atom leaves, the silver cord then breaks, releasing the soul extension completely. The hear seed atom will leave rather quickly in an initiate, but may remain in the physical body for three days in the case of a less evolved soul extension".

Robert Bruce; Treatise on Astral Projection Vol. II; Energy Flow: "The famed "Silver Cord" does more than just tie the two bodies together. It is a true umbilical cord, transmitting information and energy between the physical and subtle bodies. It is seen by some projectors and not seen by others. Sometimes it is seen emanating from the navel, sometimes from the forehead. The area the cord is seen emanating from may depend on chakra activity. Whichever chakra is the strongest, most active, could have control of energy flow to the subtle bodies. There is also the belief system of the projector to consider and the creative power of the subconscious mind. The cord will usually appear to be wherever you believe it will be, courtesy of the subconscious". Robert Bruce; Treatise on astral projection Vol. 1: "While you are climbing the ribbon imagine you are coming loose from the physical body. Imagine you can feel yourself rising a little with each new hand hold. Feel yourself floating free. You will feel a slight giddy feeling in the pit of your stomach, or solar plexus, as pressure is put on the astral body".

Bod Peterson; Out of Body Experiences versus Lucid-Dreams: "After all, not every OBEer' perceives the legendary silver cord, and of those that do some report it as emerging from different points on the body to the solar plexus, such as the small of the back, the neck or the top of the head to name a few. It seems to depend on where you expect to see it. So, whether a physical body is percieved or not depends on whether you expect to see a body or not, in my opinion"

Matrica; Astral Travel, simplicity itself: "Work on projecting a cloud of your energy out through your solar plexus (some people work better projecting from the 3d eye, I personally project the body through the solar plexus and when I project the consciousness into it, I do it via the 3d eye".

Lee Bladon; Esoteric Knowledge: "When we fall asleep the monad (in the triad) detaches the consciousness thread from the physical-etheric brain and leaves the physical-etheric body, usually via the navel or heart chakra, causing the physical body to become unconscious". – "The monad can leave the physical-etheric body by one of three exits: the navel chakra, the heart chakra or the crown chakra. Primitive and civilised people use the navel chakra, developed and humanistic people use the heart chakra, and enlightened people use the crown chakra. The navel and heart chakras correspond to the lower (2:1–2:3) and upper (2:4–2:6) emotional plane so are obvious points of exit to the emotional world. Exiting through the crown chakra ensures that the consciousness thread is not detached, which not only allows the waking consciousness to remember the monad's out-of-body activities but to actually experience the events as they occur. This is an ability that naturally develops at (or just prior) to enlightenment, but it is possible for fairly well developed individuals to acquire the ability early through the use of specific yogic and meditative disciplines".

Max Heindel; the Rosicrucian Mysteries: "No matter how long we may keep the Spirit from passing out, however, at last there will come a time when no stimulant can hold it and the last breath is drawn. Then the silver cord of which the Bible speaks, and which holds the higher and the lower vehicles together, snaps in the heart and causes that organ to stop. That rupture releases the vital body, and it, with the desire body and mind, floats above the visible body for from one to three and one-half days, while the Spirit is engaged in reviewing the past life, an exceedingly important part of its post-mortem experience. Upon that review depends its whole existence from death to a new birth".

Andrew Jackson: Death and the afterlife: "The golden emanation, which extends up midway to the ceiling, is connected with the brain by a very this, life-thread." – "the fine life-thread continues attached to the old brain. The next thing is the withdrawal of the electric principle. When this thread snaps, the spiritual body is free."

Mike Azreal: The way to achieve OBE: "Now another term you may have come across during your investigations into projection is 'the silver cord'. This is basically a term for the link that is always present (but not always visible) between your physical body and your astral body. You may have already spotted this during your projection and if so then one of the easiest methods you can use to get back to your body is to follow it." – "Believe it or not as your physical body begins to require the routine maintenance tasks such as eating or drinking or needing the bathroom, you will begin to feel a pulling on your astral body much like the one you felt as soon as you got out and were still reasonably close to it. You will feel your solar plexus (in the middle of your body, right between your belly button and ribs) throbbing like crazy. Adventures beyond the body: How to experience out of body travel: By William Buhlman: Silver cord: "The traditional biblical term for the non-physical connection between the first inner energy body and the biological body. In many respects, it is similar to an energy umbilical cord capable of stretching for immense distances. In appearance, though, it is not cordlike but is observed as thin, fibrous filaments connecting the biological body to its densest non-physical counterpart." – "The biblical concept of the silver cord is accurate. According to my observations, it is not actually a cord but a thin, fibrous substance similar in appearance to a spider's web. The silver cord appears to function as the connection between the physical body and the first inner energy-body of all life-forms. Though its complete function is unknown, it's logical that it may act as an inner energy conduit. One thing is certain, when the cord is severed, the biological life ends."
Edgar Cayce and the silver cord: Known as the greatest prophet of the 20th Century; he was able to disconnect from his physical-vehicle in order to channel or to clairvoyantly acquire information for individuals in need, thusly, he was even said to have been capable of speaking through his physical-vehicle as he was astral-projected. Upon interrupting a session where Edgar Cayce was entranced whilst his body was speaking to a patient, a certain friend of Edgar's who was present during this session claimed to witness what he called Edgar's astral-body amidst a materialized state which was connected by a "silver-cord" in which extended from the disembodied shade to what he said was the "solar-plexus" region of his physical-body. When this instance had occurred, Edgar's disembodied form then turned to observe he who had interrupted the session as Edgar's physical-vehicle immediately ceased speaking.

In the Authors perception, Alice Bailey seems to have confused the "silver-umbilical-cord" with the golden-Sutratma-thread in the quoted excerpts which are presented below:

Here is what Alice Ascertains: "The Sutratma is that magnetic link, spoken of in the Christian Bible as the "silver cord," that thread of living light which connects the Monad, the Spirit in man, with the physical brain." – "Sutratma is that magnetic link, spoken of in the Christian Bible as the "silver cord," that thread of living light which connects the Monad, the Spirit in man, with the physical brain." – "as a sphere of radiant fire, linked with the initiate standing before it by that magnetic thread of fire which passes through all his bodies and terminates within the centre of the physical brain."  This "silver thread" (as it is rather inaccurately called in the Bible, where the description of its loosing of the physical body and subsequent withdrawal is found) emanates from the heart centre of the solar Angel, linking thus heart and brain,— that great duality manifesting in this solar system, love and intelligence." – Alice Bailey.  

The words of the Author in counter-debate: "The astral-umbilical-cord manifests immediately during the initial stages of an out-of-body experience – where the golden Sutratma-thread "breaks its electromagnetic cohesion" with the brain of the physical body. Upon breaking energetic cohesion with the brain of the physical vessel, the Sutratma-thread instantaneously shifts and elevates from its stationed grounding point; thusly, to the lower-manas mind center, which fourth-dimensionally threads through the astral crown force-center. The astral-umbilical-cord is a silvery grey color, due to its astral to ethereal prana correspondences; whereas, the golden Sutratma-thread, or spiritual-consciousness-thread, is shimmering golden in color, due to its direct correspondences with "Boddhi-Atma prana," which streams forth from the three dimensional sub-planes of the causal plane, from one's causal-spirit-body. Stately, I am perturbed about disputing a renowned Theosophical Author, but for the sake of the higher good, I cannot cease to refrain from expounding my thoroughly researched disagreement.                              

Can the astral-cord be weakened, deteriorated or broken prematurely to natural causes? Some would claim that the astral-cord cannot be broken; SPIRIT-INFINITY could not disagree more, for the physical-vehicle is merely a biological, electromagnetically charged machine in which grounds the incarnate-spirit-entity, and, thusly, filters that embodied spirit's spiritual-mind and consciousness-principle. For instance, I am quite convinced that the astral-cord defenses become exceptionally weakened during the event of an O.O.B. variant of a N.D.E; therein whirls the prospective vortex emnompassing the infamous gateway of our concern. As with any computer generated security-system-program, its programmed bio-computer functions in which sustain the spiritual-grounding and spiritual-consciousness-filtration processes can be over-ridden, inhibited, and even killed entirely. The astral shield of the ethereal Aura can be circumvented as much as the security-system safe-guards of the astral-umbilical-cord can also be bypassed.

Spiritual walk-ins, channeling/ mediumship, and possession are proof that the astral umbilical cord and the spiritual-consciousness-thread-ground can be infiltrated by a spiritual entity other than the incarnate-spirit who occupies thereof; and some such cases can result in permanent occupancy of such a physical vessel, whereas the originally incarnate-spirit resultantly looses his or her life-line connection thereto.

Note: In worst case scenarios, consequences from etheric-withdrawal as the result of conducting rites of mediumship or rites of etheric-mesmerism can actually kill the medium. Likewise, the risk of spiritual possession over the medium's physical body may also be intimitely greater depending upon the nature of the spirit who is being channeled through the medium's body; herein is a prime example as to how a medium or channel ventures into certain occult areas in which may potentially evoke imminent contact with a near-death-state. Now, apply the esoteric concept of ethereal-absorption to astral life-line-absorption, and thus question what some individuals seem to so naively convey – when they say that the astral-umbilical-cord cannot be broken until death! Wrong!

Considering that you are personally aware of the fact that you are, indeed, an embodied spiritual-being, then seriously ask yourself the following question: How else would possession, walk-ins or advanced states of channeling or mediumship types of phenomena occur if the astral-cord/ life-line were not being somehow infiltrated or otherwise absorbed into by a foreign spirit-entity, regardless of whether this occurrence happens temporarily, permanently, lawfully or unlawfully?

Now, consider the concept of how astral-shield penetration and ethereal-aura-absorption is known to occur during inductions of mediumship, possessions and walk-ins; just as the astral-shield of the ethereal-Aura can be weakened, damaged, or likewise infiltrated, so can the astral-cord aspect of the security-system defenses pertaining to the physical-vehicle. I speak of circumvention followed by infiltration of those energetic functions in which moderate the bio-electro-magnetism of the spiritual-extraction process between a disembodied astral-vehicle and the physical-vehicle. So, if the ethereal aspects of the security-system defenses of the physical body can be weakened, altered, stalled, infiltrated, inhibited, or thus damaged, so the astral/ ethereal-umbilical-cord can also be likewise influenced.

"Given adequate circumstances there are always exceptions for nearly every perceivable phenomenon, as obscure or as rare as such may be in manifested occurrence." There are numerous accounts of possession and walk-in phenomena which involve a permanent occupancy over an acquired physical-vessel; this knowledge strongly indicates that prana flow from through the silver-umbilical-cord is obviously capable of jumping currents/ tracks between harnessed astral-bodies, especially where resonance between two astral bodies is permitted to occur. Rephrased, under the necessary conditions, the silver-umbilical-cord can be cross wired as to exchange the prana-circuits between the astral bodies and physical security-systems when astral body extraction has been triggered. Many recorded occurrences of mediumship, possession and walk-in related phenomena clearly involved the premature severing, or a gradual diminishing, of an originally inhabiting spirit's astral/ ethereal-cord connection to their physical-vehicle. To deny that the silver-umbilical-cord connection can be prematurely dissipated or otherwise exchanged is to stately deny relevant accounts of spiritual mediumship, possession and walk-ins. To argue against the possibility of these concepts very likely indicates that you do not believe that you, yourself, are truly an embodied spiritual-being, for the illusory effigy of physical-vessel is not truly who or what you are as an entity, but merely a program of self image which is perpetuated by hypnosis. Note: Often times, a near-death-O.O.B.E. is the necessary gateway-experience through which a spiritual walk-in may occur; apply this concept to life-line absorption. Similarly, one of the ways by which the infamous skin-walker sorcerers of Native America were said to have ceased possession over the physical-body an animal or a human victim was by forcibly inducing a near death state through which the physical life-force of the targeted victim's physical-vehicle was made more vulnerable and thereby more accessible. Also, introspectively compare inductions of such phenomena to how a shamanic power-plant ally can be utilized in order to induce near-death-like states under advanced applications of lower-magick based sorcery, and then apply this information to skin-walker sorcery. One does not need to come as close to death as one might think in order to access the desired vortex that inveriably leads to the gateway to an incapacitated physical-vessel, thus through a crafefully staged physical extraction of astral energy. "A sorcerer is one who may willingly defy death in bidding for serious, spiritual-power."

How possession, skin-walking and walk-in phenomena can occur through:
1. Merging astral spirit-bodies.
2. The melding of spiritual-mind bodies and Sutratma-threads; and mind melding.
3. Astral-cord absorption; many cases of walk-ins involve a spirit-entity who absorbs the walk-out's astral-cord connection.
4. Ethereal-Aura-absorption, an Auric energy-exchange, or through mesmeric-sympathy, which is the same as ethereal-veil merging; common in mediumship and channeling.
5. Ill health, imbalanced prana flow through the force-centers, or weakened chi flow may have been the result of incurring ethereal Aura damage.
6. A weakened astral-shield as the result of ethereal Aura damage.
7. A weakened consciousness-filter, which reflects in a combinantion of physical and ethereal brain damage.

Common modes of possession:
1. Absorption through ethereal force-centers or from through the ethereal aura.
2. Astral-cord absorption; similar to the fashion through which spirit-walk-ins occur.
3. Multiple entities collaborating in a tactic of astral-strategy can strengthen astral-infiltration-rites.
4. Rites of black magick or dark sorcery, usually involving skin-walker rites; there are far eastern as well as western variants of such applications.

*The Buddhist Reverend Lobsang Rampa and (transmigration): This spiritual Reverend obviously circumvented his astral-cord connection; also, the Vedic Saint, Rishi Sundaranatha clearly circumvented his astral-cord connection, as well, "under premature circumstances," in the process of forming a new life-line connection with a dying cow-herder.

Under most ordinary circumstances the astral-umbilical-cord is remarkably resilient against relinquishing its link of magnetism to an out-of-body yet incarnate-spirit, hence its natural astral safe-guards for rejecting foreign astral-spirits who might attempt to cease possession over one's unoccupied physical vessel. Review the techniques of security-system circumvention within Chapter 777, and apply such as the necessary application of Occult Alchemy to this equation as a whole; therein whirls the prospective vortex of desire. It is very easy to die in the midst of performing specific Shamanic related sorcery rites for inducing prolonged, states of out-of-body projection. In other words, sorcery can be directly aimed at inhibiting the astral-shield, hence diminishing the spiritual-grounding defenses of one's physical-vehicle, thus weakening one's astral-cord magnetism as a result. A sorcerer is one who views death as being merely an open vortex; he is a priest who may spiritually defy death in acquiring power through the induction of disembodied states.


The astral-cord and astral flight: While flying amidst a state of astral projection, have you ever felt buoyant, springy, or tension-like sensations in which rush up and down your lifeline, as you "will" yourself forward? What about being suddenly jolted back into cohesion with your physical body from amidst a lucid dream or a disembodied state? Furthermore, have you ever noticed any slight to severe convulsions or tremors from within the midsection region of your physical vehicle upon being jolted back to embodied cohesion from amidst an astral state? Is such convulsions resultant of an energetic magnetism in correspondence to opposite moving currents of Fohat-prana mingled with Prana-prana channeling through the lifeline? Have you ever experienced a feeling of energetic resistance within the naval region upon breaking cohesion from the physical vehicle during the initial phases of astral projection? Clearly, the lifeline is a critical element of the security system of the physical vehicle; once the defenses of the physical security system have been activated, the lifeline then triggers an over-powering current and or polarity of electromagnetic energy through which it literally extracts one's astral body. If one were suddenly jolted back into energetic cohesion with one's physical vehicle from being out of body, perhaps due to a traumatic incident, naval region convulsions may occur and thus persist for several minutes upon returning to a state of physical embodiment. The metaphysics behind the lifeline phenomenon certainly requires more in depth research. There may be resistance based upon interplay of positive and negative charged polarity, or otherwise opposite currents, within the lifeline energy-force as the astral vehicle divides from being in cohesion with the physical vehicle. Do you see what I'm inferring here? In order for the lifeline to sustain energetic resonance through oscillating, or magnetism between the dividing energy vehicles; would be to observe the energetic functions of the naval and heart chakra polarities, of which the energy currents of these two chakras are reversed in men as opposed to women. After all, when one is amidst an ordinary state of physical embodiment, there is a circulatory inter-play of both positive and negative charged electromagnetic energy; this fohat mingled with prana and udana, of which currents inwardly as well as outwardly; being an exchange of energy between the astral, mental, ethereal and physical divisions within the auric-field. THE astral-cord, astral projection and the golden Sutratma-thread, or otherwise referred to as the spiritual-consciousness-thread:

The Author's energetic theories regarding the manifestation of the astral-cord: As for many, perceiving the astral-cord is a rather acquired sense. Depending upon one's conscious degree of sensitivity to astral vibrations, the cord phenomenon can be either seen or felt. There are some practitioners of astral projection who firmly ascertain that the life-line, or the astral cord, manifests from the heart chakra region of the physical body; whilst there are yet many other practitioners who strongly affirm that the astral-cord manifests from the solar plexus or navel area of the physical body. Well, what if both sides to this debate are correct? There may be pertinent metaphysical explanations as to why the astral-cord is felt or seen as emitting from different locations of the physical vehicle, during astral projection phenomena.

Feeling & seeing the astral-cord:

1. The astral-cord phenomenon can be either felt or seen as exuding forth from between the solar plexus force-center of the physical body and the correspondent force-center of the astral body. This cord phenomenon may be attributed to the fifth ray of vibration. Not all astral practitioners report feeling or seeing this variant of astral cord.

2. The astral-cord phenomenon can also be either felt or seen as protruding forth from between the heart force-center of the physical body and the correspondent force-center of the astral body. This cord phenomenon may be attributed to the fourth ray of vibration. Not every astral practitioner attests to feeling or seeing this particular variant of astral cord.

3. Others yet believe that the astral-cord manifests from where ever one thinks, wills or believes that it will manifest.

4. Terminology confusions between astral-cord and the golden Sutratma-thread are prevalent in Theosophical error.

5. Still yet, there are out-of-body practitioners who insist that they neither see nor feel any astral-cord phenomena when they astral project. Some A.P. practitioners don't even believe that the astral-cord exists.

6. Note: In Sanskrit teachings concerning the seven main chakra force-centers, it is taught that a primary current of prana enters at the center of each major force-center. Further, the primary current of inward flowing prana of each major force-center is thus encircled by a series of outwardly flowing, evenly spaced streams of prana. Moreover, regarding the solar plexus force-center, it is commonly taught that ten rays or spokes of prana energy emit forth from around the central current of inwardly streaming prana. Do the ten outwardly emitting emanations of prana wrap around the inward stream of primary prana flow, thus during the manifestation of the astral-cord? Does this paradigm serve as a plausible explanation for the seemingly positive and negative inter-play of magnetism which occurs within the astral cord? Is this concept not dissimilar to the principle basis as to how an extension-cord conduits electricity? I haven't yet heard this theory presented before by another author.

7. Certain practitioners of astral-projection believe that the astral-cord manifests in correlation to interplay between two or more chakra energy centers.

8. Some seem to claim that the astral-cord can be manifested through the throat chakra.

9. A few yet proclaim that an astral-cord can manifest from through the third-eye force-center. Still yet, some O.O.B.E. adepts say that an enlightened master may astral project without breaking resonant fohat mingled prana cohesion between the Sutratma and the brain of their physical vehicle. This phenomenon may be achievable for some individuals, but such is likely to be exceedingly rare in the author's fervent opinion.

10. Lastly, there are O.B.E. advocates who seem to confuse their astral cord with a temporary head-thread phenomenon that sometimes manifests between their partially dislocated ethereal double and their comatose physical body. The ethereal to physical cord phenomena may appear at various ethereal force-center locations.

The astral-umbilical-cord versus the spiritual-consciousness-thread: The spiritual-consciousness-thread, otherwise called the golden Sutratma thread, should NOT be confused with the astral-umbilical-cord, although a few Authors of the Classical Theosophical texts have confused the two cord phenomena as being the same, surmising that the astral umbilical cord does not exist. Think of the astral cord as merely a prana circuit that links the nervous system of the physical vehicle and its ethereal double to correspondent near central region of the astral body. On the other hand, the Sutratma thread simply serves as the spiritual consciousness circuit that conduits spiritual prana from the source of Atma, which channels through the casual spirit body and into the crowns of the mental and astral spirit-bodies; with its final destination intermittently linking the spiritual-consciousness-thread to resonant cohesion with the spiritual-consciousness-thread-ground, to the center of the brain of the physical body.

The spiritual-consciousness-thread; or the golden Sutratma thread: This is an energetic prana-circuit through which one's spiritual-mind, one's causal-spirit's consciousness-principle, is channeled to a state of resonant magnetism with the center of the brain of the physical body; thusly, one's spiritual mind is grounded to the brain by means of Fohat-electricity mingled prana. As aforementioned, one's spiritual-mind channels along the spiritual-consciousness-thread, from the causal-spirit-vibrations, and interpenetrating each of the crown epicenters of the lesser energy veils of one's subtle spirit embodiments. Hence, the Sutratma threads one's spiritual ego through the permanent atom of one's lesser-mind epicenter, and thus continues to thread downwards through the astral-crown chakra; and then streams through the ethereal-crown chakra force-center-inlet, to which one's spiritual-mind electromagnetically binds with the center of the spiritual-consciousness-thread-ground of the physical-vehicle, from whence one's spiritual consciousness-thread is filtered thereby.

Reiterated, sustained electromagnetic resonance is clearly that phenomenon which grounds the spiritual-consciousness-thread to a state of energetic cohesion with the consciousness-thread-ground. So, interfering with, inhibiting or otherwise altering the status of this electro-cohesive bridge of energy that binds one's spiritual mind to the brain of the physical body can potentially result in un-grounding, and thereby freeing, one's spiritual-consciousness-thread from its grounded state of resonant cohesion with the energetic magnetism that adheres it to the filtration processes of the brain and the atomic-shield of the ethereal Aura; releasing one's higher crown force-center. Much confusion has arisen within the writings of classical esoteric literature concerning the "astral-umbilical-cord" and the "golden-Sutratma-thread;" these are two separate cord phenomena in which demand individual attention.

The spiritual-consciousness-thread-ground; or the spiritual-consciousness-thread-filter: The brain of the physical vehicle, or the spiritual-consciousness-thread-ground, filters the conscious mind of the incarnate spirit. The brain is merely a biological, electromagnetically charged, artificial-database or inventory in which stores residual imprints of vibrations relating to the thought related patterns, emotional impulses, and most sensory perceptions of the incarnate spirit-entity. One's spiritual/ casual mind and Sutratma-consciousness-thread are thus electromagnetically intergraded through the inter-face parameters of a biologically programmed self image, through the filtration process of the brain.

Fascinatingly, the consciousness-filtration capacity of the spiritual-consciousness-thread-ground literally entrances, hypnotizes and programs the lower mind of the incarnate spirit, which it so relentlessly grounds. Thusly, the brain hijacks the incarnate spirit-entity's true sense of conscious identity as a sentient being; for it is the brain that actually takes possession of the incarnate spirit, and it is not so much that the spiritual entity is really in possession of the physical body.

Mental vibrations from one's casual, higher, causal mind are routinely interrupted, and thus replaced, by an artificially generated counterfeit of "lower self effigy", as the result of the consciousness-thread filtration process of the security system functions between the ethereal and physical brains. The spiritual-consciousness-thread-ground, in succinct unison with the astral-shield of the ethereal aura, mercilessly inhibits and over-rides the consciousness principle of the embodied spirit-entity; and in such a way that one's filtered mind resultantly becomes un-attuned to perceiving the majority of all psychic sensory transmissions from beyond the denser vibration-veil of the mental-grounding filtration process. In other words, conscious, unadulterated receptions of those vibrations from one's higher, causal-spirit consciousness principle are converted into sub-conscious, adulterated transmissions of frequency by the spiritual-consciousness-filter/ brain. Hence, one's perception of ordinary reality, or ordinary consciousness, is not at all the substance of true reality, but is rather an altered state of consciousness. Perceiving from through the darkened shades of the spiritual-consciousness-thread-filter is truly a consciousness altering experience in itself, beyond the scope of any psychotropic experience, as spiritually unconscious as we may yet be.

The brain generates an illusory division between the five senses; as one may compare this phenomenon as to how one may perceive the five ordinary senses in a state of converged oneness from midst a state of higher astral projection, but especially those heightened out-of-body states where one's mental spirit-body faculties have been awakened. One's true spiritual senses are merely divided, and thereby censored, as a result of being grounded to the filtration process of the brain. Further, this bio-electro filtration process therefore limits as well as inhibits the incarnate spirit-entity's capacity for exhibiting heightened levels of consciousness expression, awareness and perception. In other words, ordinary consciousness is merely a product of filtered consciousness, of which the brain has taken possession thereof. For understand that the brain has no true consciousness of its own, so hence it steals yours' by means of harnessing and sustaining a resonant state of bio-electro-magnetism that in turn hijacks your spiritual channel of thought frequency, thus through its consciousness filtration functions. Higher vibration transmissions from the lesser or Rupa mind body are divided by the two opposite hemispheres of the brain, and then further divided as the result of becoming grounded to the neurological sensory perceptions of the nervous system of the physical-vessel. The conclusion is that an illusory division between the conscious and subconscious aspects of one's mind occurs as a product of spiritual-consciousness filtration, being a programmed illusion of bio-electro-chemical generated duality. Always remember that the spiritual-consciousness-thread-circuit is electromagnetically bridged into energetic cohesion with the consciousness-thread-ground from the spiritual mind, of which your true mind exists outside of the brain of the physical body. "Within is without, and without is within."

Reinstated, "the spiritual-consciousness-thread channels downwards from the Atmic source of spirit and the casual-spirit embodiment, and it threads through a series of lesser spirit body crowns and centers, to the ethereal crown-force-center-inlet, from which it is electromagnetically bridged to the pineal gland; this state of consciousness grounding is fortified by the pituitary gland, which seals the third-eye force-center, and thereby mediating all vibrations from through the pineal gland. How do electro-bio chemicals affect the spiritual-consciousness-thread-grounding and filtration functions of the brain? Mental-prana that is mingled with acutely subtle variants of fohat-electricity certainly serves an important role in the electromagnetic grounding processes of the brain. Furthermore, it has been taught that prana is received by the pituitary and pineal glands of the brain, in other words; this statement is also synonymous in regard to chi energy. There is a circulated auric distribution chi or prana energy that is directly received from through each of the ethereal chakra vortexes, as sensory vibrations are subconsciously exchanged between the physical and astral spirit-embodiments through the ethereal body. The nervous system harnesses subtle fohat variants of electricity, which in turn harnesses prana from the chain of subtle spirit-bodies; by virtue of the ethereal aura.

The spiritual-consciousness-thread versus the bunk ethereal-head-thread: These are two entirely separate phenomena. So, what then concerning reports a cord-like phenomenon in which manifests from the head of the physical vessel whilst during states of astral projection? The spiritual-consciousness-thread remains intact with the out-of-body entity, whereas the "bunk-head-thread" is merely a temporary cord that sometimes forms between the head of a dislocated ethereal double and a comatose physical body.

For those readers who profess to regularly experience the head-thread phenomenon, here is my personal theory as to what occurs therewith, thus implying from the basis that the crown force-center dislocates from the physical body as astral projection occurs:

The bunk head-thread: This cord concisely manifests as a direct result of the incurred division between the vibrations of one's astral, ethereal, and physical spirit-embodiments.

For those readers who profess to regularly experience the head-thread phenomenon, here is my personal theory as to what occurs therewith; thusly, based upon the premise that the crown force-center fully dislocates from the system of ethereal force-centers during an "out-of-body experience":

1. When an astral projection phenomenon occurs, the crown inlet of one's astral body will begin to elevate with intent, thereby dislodging from its cohesive bond of magnetism with the ethereal-crown-chakra-inlet.

2. The resistant bond between the astral crown force-center and the crown-force-center-inlet of the ethereal double is so great that it temporarily remains resonantly bonded. During this instance, the astral crown force-center, or Sahasrar chakra, partially pulls the ethereal-crown force-center-inlet away from the crown force-center-inlet at the top of the head of the physical body.

3. A weak cord of (fohat & prana mingled ethereal-matter) then stretches forth between the Sahasrar crown force-center, and the crown chakra inlet at the top of the head of the physical body. At this stage the Sahasrar force-center has not yet dislocated from the crown force-center-inlet of the ethereal double. The Sahasrar continues to separate from its energetic bond with the head of the ethereal body.

4. An energetic cord phenomenon stretches also forth between the dislocated astral crown force-center and the ethereal-crown force-center inlet, but temporarily.

5. The bunk head-thread cord quickly begins to diminish in its fohat strength and prana vitality as the astral crown chakra continues to separate from the ethereal-crown force-center-inlet.

6. Then, the magnetism of the bunk head-thread cord suddenly snaps and completely dissipates. Hence, the astral crown force-center, intact together with the spiritual-consciousness-thread, has now broken free from the circuit of magnetism in which had bonded it to the spiritual-consciousness-thread-ground, or the brain of the physical body. In other words, the astral crown force-center is thus freed once it has breaks its state of electromagnetic cohesion with the brain of the ethereal-double of the physical body.

7. At this instance, total astral projection has not yet occurred, for the astral body has not yet become completely freed from the magnetism of the ethereal nervous-system chakras!
Reiterated, remember that the head-thread is merely a bunk, short lasting cord phenomenon, as it will quickly begin to weaken and then snap; followed by this phenomenon is where the silver-cord will begin to manifest! The golden Sutratma merely links the Sahasrar force-center to the mental and causal ego centers; and its link to the physical brain has now been broken.

*During states of astral projection: The astral crown chakra forms the base of the spiritual-consciousness-thread, sometimes referred to as the golden sutratma thread in Sanskrit literature, which in turn endures with the crown energy-center of the mental-body. The mind body always remains intact with the astral vehicle whenever an out-of-body experience occurs. As mentioned elsewhere, during astral projection a separation transpires between the astral and physical vehicles, of which the ethereal body stays within a relatively close proximity to the physical body while the astral and mental bodies detach together from being in a state of cohesion with the ethereal and physical.

The interior energy center of the astral body: This interior astral center receives and or responds to ethereal vibrations from through the external force-centers without. Theosophical teachings have indicated that the central interior of the astral-vehicle corresponds to the mediation of one's primary prana force through any of four different exterior astral force-centers. Hence, depending upon exterior conditions, particularly those phenomena which are associated with ethereal and physical influences; the astral center will mediate a necessary circuit of prana through whichever exterior astral force-center that accommodates to the particular ethereal force-center location from whence the astral life-line cord has manifested. The dominant ray of vibration which rules over the individuals degree of spiritual advancement is taught by some as to determine which ethereal/ physical prana force-center that the astral cord will manifest from. The Author doesn't surmise to intrinsically understand the complete metaphysical explanations concering the manifestation of astral cord phenomena, although he has provided the reader with formidably usurping entrainments, of which demand serious consideration, as well as meditated contemplation.

The four potential prana force-centers which interact with the interior astral center:

1. The spleen chakra center.
2. The navel or solar plexus chakra center.
3. The heart chakra center.
4. ??

Note: It has been said that the spleen chakra corresponds to regulating the correct distributions of fohat mingled prana throughout the nervous-system of the physical body; regardless of whether the astral life-line-cord has manifested through either the solar plexus force-center or the heart force-center.

Note: The astral-cord is made up of a combination of astral matter and fohat-mingled prana energy. It mediates a necessary degree of electromagnetism between dislocated ethereal and astral vibrations, thus sustaining the astral life-line through which one's astral spirit-body remains tied to the central nervous system of the physical vessel.

During O.O.B.E's, vibrations are transmitted to and from the physical/ ethereal nervous system and the dislocated astral body, thus through the astral cord. Hence, a chain reaction between vibration transmissions and receptions causes sophisticated reverberations of energy in which become more and more complex, as mirrored reactions continuously act upon one another. Subtle vibrations pass from astral matter of one's astral center to etheric matter of one's ethereal force-centers, an vice versa. The etheric force-centers then draw astral-prana life-fore energy into the physical body in exchange for denser particles of sub-physical matter. A constant exchange of prana mingled subtle-electricity is c through circulated, from through the astral cord, between the ethereal and astral force-centers.

Moreover, it is in this way, thus through the fueled life-force of prana, that groups of cells begin to develop and vital nervous tissue may be created throughout the physical vessel, as the result of the mirrored life-force phenomena in which the ethereal double of the physical body establishes. As mentioned within Chapter 333, the astral body receives all original sensations of "feeling" before the impacts of vibration impressions can consciously relay an authentic sense of feeling back to the physical nervous system.

The key focal point to manipulating the interior astral center is to identify the particular exterior chakra force-center where the astral-cord begins extrude. The primary ray of spiritual influence over one's degree of consciousness advancement "may" greatly influence the force-center region from whence astral cord will externally manifest.

A concise not eon the alleged correspondences between the causal permanent atoms, the siritual-bodies and the primary force-centers:

1.   The solar plexus or navel chakra center: The causal permanent astral atom.
2.   The heart energy center: The causal permanent physical atom.
3.   The brows chakra energy center: The permanent mental atom.
4.   The Auric Sahasrara crown chakra: The causal permanent spirit atom.

Note that some adepts reverse the solar plexus center with the heart center in their interpretations of the permanent atom stations.


The art of tripping the astral umbilical cord: This may be easily accomplished if another person creates a loud noise or otherwise causes some means of physical shock, or etcetera, whilst another is out-of-body. Thusly, such instances of interference can result in triggering an intense security system response from through the astral-cord that will electromagnetically jolt one's astral vehicle back into embodied cohesion with their physical-vehicle. Another means for triggering such an energetic reaction is by intently or forcibly tugging against the astral-cord current. Toying with a dislocated ethereal double is yet another means for triggering a security system response through the astral-cord; likewise, one may also manipulate the Auric astral-shield.

 How to Achieve Astral-Projection; Spirit-Infinity style: There are many, many A.P. techniques available through which to conduct your personal O.O.B.E. experimentations; hence research as many different points of view on this subject as you can! Try subjecting yourself to awakening from a deep sleep during the twilight hour in order to achieve desirable results regarding your experimentation with astral projection and lucid dreaming exercises.

Personally, when I astral project I feel my spiritual-consciousness-thread and astral-crown break away from the consciousness-thread-ground of my physical/ ethereal vehicle, away from the top of my head. This phenomenon is sometimes accompanied by a sharp, static-like snapping or a popping sound, which perceivably occurs just above the head of my physical-vessel. In my theory, this is probably due to the electromagnetic elevation between the ethereal and astral crown chakra force-centers as they divide; perhaps occurring as the spiritual-consciousness-thread officially breaks fohat-prana cohesion with the brain or spiritual-consciousness-thread-ground. Just for the record, I don't always notice the snapping sound upon the initial phase of astral projection. 

I have been experiencing off and on phases of O.O.B.E.s since long before I vaguely understood what the crown chakra vortex was; it was much later in my life that I sought-out further understanding as to what metaphysically occurs in correlation to the crown chakra and O.O.B.E. phenomena. Frankly, I never took the chakra force centers very seriously until during the recent years, so I would concur, based upon the darkest days of my personal A.P. experience, an advanced understanding of the chakra system is certainly not necessary in order to achieve astral projection; though such might definitely benefit the adept.

Notably, I always feel an intense light-headedness just before going O.O.B. – (out of body), which occurrence is immediately accompanied by what I perceive to be sensations of a resistant force of magnetism that is felt throughout my physical nervous-system, particularly within the solar plexus region.

Stage 1: Firstly, force yourself to awaken during the cusp of early twilight, OR from between 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., as the Hindu Brahmans suggest. It is good to feel rather sleepy upon awakening, for it is imperative that you must feel tired enough that you can easily fall back asleep again; yet the trick is to not lose consciousness by falling asleep. Comfortably lie on your back with your arms at your sides and relax. Try to catch yourself at the verge of losing consciousness, therein exists a powerful gateway. Focus upon your mid-brain/ pituitary gland as you concentrate upon a deep breathing exercise. You may by-locate your concentration from betwixt your pituitary and pineal glands. Eventually, you should begin feeling a sense of light headedness; once felt, pay very close attention to these feelings. Specifically concentrate upon wherever you feel the sensations of light-headedness originating from. The stronger the feelings of energetic vibrations the better; this phenomena will occur in mild waves at first.

Accompanied with the sensations of light-headedness, you should be able to detect feelings of electromagnetic or static-like energy coursing through the mid-brain, much like peculiar head rushes. If your concentration falters, the intensity of these light-headed electromagnetic sensations will decrease to the degree of ceasing entirely, and you will then be forced to recommence the exercise over again from the beginning. Gradually, these vibrations will intensify; willingly embrace these sensations with all of your vitality, and fear not. You should soon begin to feel what is comparable to tingly, static-like vibrations above the mid-brain, within the uppermost region of your head. Alternatively, shift your focus from between the mid-brain to the top or upper-back portions of your head. As these peculiar sensations continue to persist with intensity, you might begin to fear that there is something badly wrong or perhaps that you might be experiencing the initial symptoms of a seizure, for this phenomenon can be exceptionally frightening to the unprepared mind. Do not surrender to fear lest you lose focus of your goal. Continue to intently concentrate upon these acute sensitivities, and then elevate your attention to the region of your aura that is about an inch ABOVE the top of your head. Visualization will greatly assist in this process. Thusly, having the necessary attentive focus, you will begin to notice electro-static-like vibrations just above the top of your head. At this current stage, you may even feel an electromagnetic pull or rising, upward moving vibrations. With a willful, undivided focus of attention, these phenomena will naturally begin to elevate the magnetism of your spiritual-consciousness-thread. Herein is the crucial gateway through which the bond of the prana-electricty bridge may be broken, thus freeing your astral crown from the region of your ethereal aura that intercedes with the top of your head.

For those readers who profess to regularly experience the head-thread phenomenon, here is my personal theory as to what occurs therewith; thusly, based upon the premise that the crown force-center fully dislocates from the system of ethereal force-centers during an "out-of-body experience":

1. When an astral projection phenomenon occurs, the crown inlet of one's astral body will begin to elevate with intent, thereby dislodging from its cohesive bond of magnetism with the ethereal-crown-chakra-inlet.

2. The resistant bond between the astral crown force-center and the crown-force-center-inlet of the ethereal double is so great that it temporarily remains resonantly bonded. During this instance, the astral crown force-center, or Sahasrar chakra, partially pulls the ethereal-crown force-center-inlet away from the crown force-center-inlet at the top of the head of the physical body.

3. A weak cord of (fohat & prana mingled ethereal-matter) then stretches forth between the Sahasrar crown force-center, and the crown chakra inlet at the top of the head of the physical body. At this stage the Sahasrar force-center has not yet dislocated from the crown force-center-inlet of the ethereal double. The Sahasrar continues to separate from its energetic bond with the head of the ethereal body.

4. An energetic cord phenomenon stretches also forth between the dislocated astral crown force-center and the ethereal-crown force-center inlet, but temporarily.

5. The bunk head-thread cord quickly begins to diminish in its fohat strength and prana vitality as the astral crown chakra continues to separate from the ethereal-crown force-center-inlet.

6. Then, the magnetism of the bunk head-thread cord suddenly snaps and completely dissipates. Hence, the astral crown force-center, intact together with the spiritual-consciousness-thread, has now broken free from the circuit of magnetism in which had bonded it to the spiritual-consciousness-thread-ground, or the brain of the physical body. In other words, the astral crown force-center is thus freed once it has breaks its state of electromagnetic cohesion with the brain of the ethereal-double of the physical body.

7. At this instance, total astral projection has not yet occurred, for the astral body has not yet become completely freed from the magnetism of the ethereal nervous-system chakras!
Reiterated, remember that the head-thread is merely a bunk, short lasting cord phenomenon, as it will quickly begin to weaken and then snap; followed by this phenomenon is where the silver-cord will begin to manifest! The golden Sutratma merely links the Sahasrar force-center to the mental and causal ego centers; and its link to the physical brain has now been broken.

Suddenly, it will dawn within the attention of your spiritual-mind that you are experiencing the initial stage of a genuine out of body experience. Your spiritual-consciousness-thread has now been freed from the bondage of the consciousness-thread-ground. The dislodging of one's astral-crown chakra is sometimes accompanied by a popping or snapping sound; one may or may not notice this sound; at once, you will be immersed within a vast sea of vibration.

Stage 2: Once your spiritual-consciousness-thread, together with your astral-crown chakra as the base of this energetic circuit, has broken cohesion from both the ethereal and physical aspects of the consciousness-thread-ground of your physical-vehicle, you may then begin to feel a pulling, or something like a feeling of energetic resistance from within the midsection region of your physical vessel. If one should pay close enough attention, one will detect a similar sensation from within the midsection region of your astral body. Shift your focus from between from the midsection of your physical vessel, to the auric vibration just above it, for the silver-umbilical-cord thus manifests therein, between the physical and astral energy-veils. This is the stage where I personally feel an energetic resistance of polarity or magnetism, or perhaps an obstructing energy current, at the solar-plexus region of my physical body, thus moreso than at any other place of the body. Some people feel this phenomenon at the heart region of their physical body. In the past I have felt only minor phenomena associated with the heart force center in correlation to the astral cord, and hence I have but very rarely felt any noteworthy degree of such heart force-center phenomena. Much of the time I can only detect astral-cord phenomena from within or near my solar plexus force-center. The manifeststion of astral cord vibrations will rush outwards from the midsection area of the physical vehicle to the midsection region of the astral vehicles, hence the term "astral umbilical cord." Thusly, when these sensations of cord vibrations occur, I tend to feel springy, elastic-like, or perhaps even buoyant sensations, in which consist of both protracting and retracting natures. Concentrate upon the protracting vibrations to propel your astral body away from the ethereal tractor-beam of your physical body.

To move your astral-vehicle: Intently focus upon the center of your astral-vehicle in order to move your astral form.

To return to your physical-vehicle: One technique is to intently focusing upon the retracting sensations within the silver/ astral-umbilical-cord can pull your spiritual being back into embodied cohesion with your physical-vehicle.

Sensory deprivation or extreme sensory over-load in combination with miscellaneous techniques for achieving states of astral projection: For thousands upon thousands of years throughout many, many spiritual belief systems of the world, adepts have embraced fasting as well as sensory deprivation techniques; Buddhist monks, for example, have been known to meditate within sealed, pitch dark cemetery caves for lengthy durations consisting of many days at once. High strength magnets: Experiment with placing two high powered magnets evenly spaced apart as placed upon opposite sides of your head; experiment with placing your magnets as spaced evenly apart; with one magnet aligned with an imaginary line that is drawn at "along the top edge of each of your ears, in alignment with the pituitary gland", (on both sides); and also in alignment with the pituitary gland, just a bit lower than where the pituitary gland is, thus having a magnet placed upon both sides of your head. Further, try this by aligning magnets which are equivalently spaced on both sides of sides of the crown chakra, either just above or in approximate alignment with the top of your head; in this way astral-projection may be easily induced for the purpose of forcibly allowing circumvention from the spiritual-grounding-defenses of the physical and ethereal security-systems of certain individuals.

One sound frequency pulsates through the left ear, and the other sound frequency pulsates through the right ear. The purpose of this exercise is to synchronize a circadian natural bio-rhythm between the two opposite hemispheres of the brain, thus melding them as one. Hemi-sync is known for stimulating a balanced bio-rhythm betwixt the pineal-gland and the pituitary gland of the spiritual-consciousness-thread-ground. Hence, listening to these sound waves may induce states of astral-projection phenomena. Be careful though, some such sound-wave programs, out-side of Monroe's sound-waves, were designed in such ways as to be counter-productive against achieving O.O.B.E. states; but we shan't venture into such speculations of conspiracy against our inherent freedoms here.

Imagine upgrading one's sensory deprivation float-tank by installing a system of seven adjustable, rotating magnets in which may be spread apart in such a manner as to have the option of aligning the magnets in accommodation to the locations of adept's main chakras as according to body length. Furthermore, what if headphones for listening to hemispheric synchronization sound waves were also included in this upgrade? The possibilities are paramount! Experiment and Enjoy life!

Spiritual-plant-ally-sacraments just very well might be an intrinsically inherent part of every human being's spiritual and ancestral heritage; research this knowledge in-depth, and then please tell me of your findings in that I am correct!

The 7 astral sub-dimensions, and other related dimension:

The upper astral sub-vibrations; Summerland; Elysian; the astral heavens; the lowest deva planes: These lower heavens include the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th sub-vibrations of astral matter and are closely associated with the manifestations of pleasure, happiness and desire. Some would insist that Summerland exists amidst the true heavenly planes of the upper Rupa vibrations.

The purgatory vibrations: these are the 5th, 6th and 7th lower astral sub-divisions; the 4th and 5th being intricate reflections of residual energy from one's thoughts in regard to incarnate life through the physical-vessel; something like materialistic dream states of lucid natures.

The ghost plane and the purgatory vibrations: The seventh astral vibration is the dimensional conjunction-point in which divides the boundary between the physical and astral planes exists the expanse of astral vibration where clinging souls haunt the habitations from their deceased lives; and where lost souls desperately wonder about the outer-fringes of a once physical existence, invisible to the veiled senses of the oblivious living. Ghosts are often human spirits, rarely animal spirits, who are stuck within a state of limbo; either due to clinging to the earthly world, un-fulfillment, the weight of negative karma, or merely ignorance to the fact that their previous physical form has expired through death. Ghosts may subtly influence the human world in a variety of ways; be it by means of telekinetically influencing the ethereal energy of physical objects, by creating electromagnetic energy disturbances, by briefly manifesting an apparition, by contacting living humans in dreams or amidst astral projection, or by telepathically directing messages or thought-forms, etcetera. Ghost related phenomena is more commonly seen or felt by psychically sensitive humans/ mediums, but especially by animals of certain types, for animals are typically much more sensitive towards perceiving the presences of ghosts and other kinds of supernatural beings than humans are; for instance, cats, dogs and birds are known to be amongst the most psychically perceptive of animals. In Theosophical descriptions, Earth bound ghosts can be encountered on the seventh astral vibration, and ghosts within states of purgatory are commonly encountered within the sixth, fifth and fourth astral-vibrations. Also, astral projected humans and animals are commonly encountered on the 4th, 5th, and 6th divisions of the astral plane, as are various types of nature spirits; however, it would not be too uncommon to encounter another human astral traveler on the seventh astral vibration. In Buddhist teachings, the ghost plane is said to be a plane unto itself.

The demonic sub-dimensions: As mentioned in Buddhist scriptures, asuras have unto themselves their own plane of existence. Unbeknownst to most Theosophists, or perhaps intentionally kept secret, there exist demonic sub-planes in which vibrate outside of the known astral regions; vibrations which human astral travelers can rarely access. The gates to the demonic regions are barred, cleverly hidden and well guarded. There are certain classes of asuras or demons which inhabit many of the known astral regions of purgatory & hell. After all, many Theosophists are unaware of the existence of the fabled eighth dimension of the astral plane, where the entrance to Avichi resonates. According to Buddhist depictions, the are some factions or classes of asuras which inhabit the outer regions of the lower Devachan planes; though it is taught in common theosophical teachings that no evil can exist within the devachan heaven regions; though the Buddhists can't be entirely wrong about their own claim; hence, there must exist some coordinate opposite plane,between the outer realms of the Devachan and Astral planes, where the demonic plane vibrates. After all, many Theosophists are unaware of the existence of the fabled eighth dimension of the astral plane, where the entrance to Avichi resonates.

Demons are not the thought-form creations of astral projected humans, as much as some masters of Theosophical literature would lead us to believe, without question. Demons are subject to karma, death and rebirth, as devas and humans are, too. At will, asuras may choose to visit other lower planes from whence they came, although the majority of all asuras are said to hold little interest in the affairs of human beings, thus according to Buddhist teachings. There are classes of demonic beings which were never human midst their past incarnations, and thsuly, such beings are not confined by the same linear space and time continuum as we human spirits.

True, some of the so called demons of today are merely the abandoned Gods of yesterday, but such is merely an ignorant confusion between terminologies! There are three common definitions as to what a demonic being truly is: One defines a demon as a spiritual entity as being a deity of old who was demonized due to a modern societal change or revision of an older philosophy or religion, and such is true regarding some such entities. Another describes a demon as being a corrupted spiritual entity who was once a deva, an angel or a deity who had fallen from its status in heaven, often due to the usurping of negative karma, i.e. as the result of surrendering their prior status of nobility to evil tendencies; and, according to this belief, the majority of all demonic beings were once devas or deities of good natures – but later resorted to evil. The other definition of a demon is that they are extra-terrestrial beings of negative or evil dispositions; the author disagrees with this definition.

There is an imminent difference between extra-terrestrial-aliens and higher vibration beings, from higher planes or extra-dimensions, which possess light-bodies as opposed to physical bodies; neither demons nor devas are aliens! – Extra terrestrial beings and entities who possess spiritual light bodies are two distinctly different classes of incarnate-beings, though both classes exist, and in many uniquely fascinating dispositions and variants.

In many different spiritual philosophies, demons are not beings that naturally have material/ physical embodiments, for they possess light-bodies in the same manner of essence that devas do. Many factions of demonic or asura alliances are said to be engaged in constant warfare against opposing legions of other demons, as well as against certain factions of heavenly devas and gods; as asuras are often said to be immensely jealous of heavenly beings. They are far more likely to contribute to the demise of the masses on a grand scale, such as by contributing to the corruption of a government or focusing upon significant figures who hold notable positions of influence over others, rather than singling out insignificant individuals.

Generally speaking, even the most evil human souls do not become demons; for it is only under the rarest of circumstances in which a human soul may reincarnate as a demonic being; and there are almost always exceptions to merely every rule.

The multitude of Hell vibrations: Within the seventh dimension of the astral plane is the hidden gateway to the forbidden eighth astral sub-division, thus leading to even deeper sub-divisions of darkness: According to some Theosophists, Hell is said to be non-existent, whilst it is commonly taught by others that the seventh layer of the astral plane is hell.

In Buddhist philosophy, there exist eight major divisions of hell, five minor hells and numerous sub-divisions therein. Just as no heavenly state lasts forever, though it might be perceived as lasting for a very, very long time, all suffering within any of the dimensions of hell is merely temporary will eventually cease, thus allowing the entrapped spirit-entity to ascend to planes of vibration beyond. The true hell plane dimensions exist within the ordinary reaches of seven the lowest astral-plane sub-divisions; within the hidden depths of the lower-mental plane. refer to the 31 Buddhist planes unit of this chapter.

Arguably, the seventh density of the astral plane is not at all hell itself, but rather, therein can be accessed hidden gateways to even worse planes. Reiterated, the seventh sub-division of astral vibrations is merely the layer of non-physical density in which borders ethereal matter, being the outermost density of astral purgatory, where earth bound ghosts haunt the hidden boundaries of human existence, lost in thier unbridled misery; yet it may also lead to coordinate opposite vibrations to all which is known as good, but for only the most exceptionally evil of souls.

The spirits which may be encountered midst the astral plane:

Like human beings, animals also tend to astral project whenever their physical body enters into a state of sleep, too. In Occult theory, many types of animals interact with the astral plane more regularly than humans do. Cats, dogs, ravens, and many other varieties of animals typically exercise a keen sense of natural astral vision during their waking states of consciousness, in addition to other astral sensitivities. Moreover, shamans, sorcerers and witches have been historically known to ally themselves with the spirits of animals, sometimes referred to as familiars or totems. A close pet or a familiar can actually astral project with a human companion. Thusly, a familiar or a totem will guide and protect a spiritualist during their astral journeys as well as during waking states of consciousness.

Plant spirits are generally attuned to much higher vibrations of awareness than humans of animals are. Intriguingly, it is taught by masters of many different spiritual paths that plants are embodied spiritual beings; and that the spirits which inhabit the forms of fungi, plants and trees actively and consciously participate in normal interactions midst the higher astral plane regions, thus more inexorably frequent than those spirits who occupy the forms of humans or animals can bequest. Interestingly, there are nature spirit guardians from higher spiritual planes who may dwell within the life-forces of plants, at their own leisure. Numerous varieties nature spirits and elemental helpers may consciously dwell within the life-force of a single plant embodiment at once. Also, there are plant protector spirit-guides who monitor vast numbers of plants within certain species categories, whereas, there are other types of nature spirits which tend to a variety of different kinds of trees and plants within specific areas of habitat. A spiritualist may attain guidance, knowledge, power or protection from nature spirits of many differing varieties. Allied nature spirits will protect an individual against negative astral influences. Tree spirits and psychedelic power-plant spirits are ideal allies. (Refer to the plant teachers' and power plant allies' subsection of chapter 6 – for acquisition of further information regarding this subject).

1. Another human astral traveler: One can consciously interact with other astral projected humans, and in some cases, both correspondent astral travelers will consciously retain memory of having met upon awakening from their astral projection experience.

2. Disembodied spirits; purgatory bound ghosts: This class may include a recently deceased friend or relative. These may be trapped spirits who do yet not realize that their prior incarnate form has died, or also, these can be restless spirits who refuse to ascend beyond the lower levels of the astral plane or to immediately reincarnate.

3. A shed ethereal-double; shade; doppelganger; phantom; churchyard spectre: *These phenomena cannot be encountered on any of the higher astral planes. A shed ethereal double may be observed by means of procuring either astral vision or ethereal vision, and can be viewed from midst the astral boundary in which borders the ethereal vibration of the physical plane and the outer-most border of the astral plane. An ethereal shade is merely the shed residual energy of a deceased physical form. These phenomena are not spirit-entities and possess no consciousness of their own, for they are merely shells of the prior correspondent vessels in which an ex-carnate spirit entity had once occupied before incurring severance from that form through death. Compare a shade phenomenon to that of a residual loop or a tear in the space time continuum. Disturbingly, a shade incoherently and irrationally repeats the actions and routines, in which were residually programmed by thought impression, of the ex-carnate spirit-entity who once possessed the form to which it was bound. A shed ethereal double can actually be possessed by astral entities of a lower vibration status; beings such as elementaries, purgatory bound ghosts, demons and extra dimensional emissaries from dimensions unkown to Theosophy;

Type ii: A spiritually possessed or manipulated ethereal-shade; Ghosts, or elementaries, of recently deceased individuals, or sometimes beings from other classes of astral entities, will sometimes take obsession over their shed-ethereal energy. Thus an elementary-ghost is one who clings to the residual magnetism of their former but now severed image; those displaced, earth bound spirits who desperately cling to cravings, habits, addictions may be predisposed to taking obsession/ possession over the shade of their now deceased physical-form; or worse yet, to become an earth bound elementary who seeks to cease a forced possession over a living person's physical body, or sometimes that of an animal's physical body.

4. Miscellaneous negative vibration entities of astral and extra-dimensional origins: These types of entities possess spiritual light embodiments of inorganic substances.

Type i: Extra-dimensional spirits of non-human, non-ghost, non-elementary, non-demonic, non-elemental, non-thought form and non-extra-terrestrial origins: Emissaries: Astral portal guardians, not to be confused with egrigoroi or grigori, and tenants of the purgatory regions of the astral plane. Some of these entities travel to the astral plane from extra-dimensions outside of the space continuum which encompasses the ordinary astral plane vibrations. These are inorganic beings of a spiritual class other than ghosts or demons. An emissary often appears as a dark, ovular shaped shadow in which exudes a dull glow from amidst its darkness. These spirits commonly travel in pairs or groups, as they travel about the various regions of the astral plane in search of energy in which to harvest. They endeavor to propose contracts with astral travelers for purposes of harvesting one's life-force energy or possessing one's physical body, in exchange for their astral assistance. These spirits may also feed upon ethereal shades as well as thought form energies, besides victimizing unwary astral travelers or purgatory bound spirits when possible; and if a contract cannot be established they may resort to psychic vampirism or forced possession. Emissaries may ally with demons or elementaries, yet they hold their own class.

Succubi: The Author speculates that these are astral spirits that were once human beings, which similar to elementaries but more demonic in nature; they prey upon sexual energy.

Demons; asuras; ruling shadows; egrigoroi; grigori: There are many differing classes and factions of demons. (Refer to the asura/ demonic plane).

6. Higher vibration beings: Deities, devas, angels, spirit guides, etcetera, as astral travelers: There are many different types deva, spirit guides and deva. Some spirit-guides are descendent members of a living person's or animal's over-soul group, having descended from the Devachan plane or beyond in order to serve and protect. There are factions of deva which were never human, whereas there are also factions of deva who lived many incarnations through human vehicles, being highly evolved spirits. Further, there are Bodhisattvas who descend from beyond the Arupa planes with the pursuit of aiding lower vibrations beings.

Many deva and spirit-guides possess spiritual light embodiments; some are visitors of the astral plane while others are inhabitants of the upper astral regions.

Type i: Higher vibration beings: Deva and spirit-guides from the Devachan or beyond.

Type ii: Lower vibration beings: Deva and spirit-guides from the astral heaven regions.

7. Nature spirits type i; elementals; spirits of the various elements; there are sub-classes within hierarchies of such spirits; refer to chapter 6 subsection.

Type i: Elementals of air/ wind:
Type ii: Elementals of fire/ flame:
Type iii: Elementals of water/ sea:
Type iv: Elementals of earth/ stone:

8. Nature spirits type ii; of types other than elementals; Types of nature spirits which assist the cultivation and protection of plant life; these include orbs and willow-the-wisps, other than air elemental classes of orbs. Active midst the astral plane, they haunt as well as guard sacred expanses of habitat; often serving to protect and aid designated trees or other plant life, & those lesser groups of incarnate spirits who possess the plant life forms. These types of spirits have been known to take vengeance upon anyone who desecrates the expanses of habitat in which they protect; they also tend to be enemies of negative vibration spirits of the astral plane. Such nature spirits may choose to ally with a sorcerer or a coven, thus midst states of astral projection, or also to intervine aid from the astral plane to the physical world.

9. Nature spirits type iii: Incarnate tree and plant spirits; they are active on the astral plane. Nature spirits of this class may become astral allies, guardians or teachers to the practitioner who pays due homage.

10. An astral projected animal spirit, such as a familiar or a totem; or interaction with a greater animal protector or spirit-guide from a higher plane:

Type i: This category includes living familiars, pets and totems who astral travel with their human companions. They may also utilize their astral sensitivities in order to aid or protect their human companions during waking states of consciousness.

Type ii: Category 2 includes greater familiars, totems and animal spirit-guides that will ally or protect both human and animal astral travelers. They may also intervene from the astral plane to aid one during their waking state of consciousness in the physical world.

11. Thought-form entities:

Type i: An empty thought-form entity: These can be either consciously or subconsciously created by virtually any type of spiritual being, be it incarnate, ex-carnate, astral, or etcetera; intentionally or unintentionally. A thought form is merely mass of thought-energy that takes on the manifestation of a particular likeness, accompanied by specific traits of character, as determined by the intently invested emotion and or thought magnetism of its creator. Know that there is a distinct difference between a real spirit-entity and an animate thought form entity. View this class of phenomenon as being a similar, yet far less sophisticated, comparison to that of an ethereal shade phenomenon, for a thought form entity is not a true spiritual being. Both true spirit entities and animate thought-form entites may be encountered midts one's journeys throughout the astral plane regions. Moreover, many of the classical Theosophists insisted that thought-form entities are conscious beings which are as real as you or I, but the author of this manuscript disagree; a true astral entity is just as real as you or I, but an astral thought-form entity is not!

Type ii: A spiritually possessed thought-form: This is a thought form which is manipulated or even possessed as a vehicle by a conscious spirit-entity of an extra-dimensional, a disembodied or an inorganic type. The residual energy of a thought form may also be fed upon by lower vibration beings of an inorganic nature. The thought form energy itself is not a conscious entity but is rather a conduit or vehicle through which intent may be transmuted.

12. A non-human astral traveler from some other world: Extra-terrestrial and extra-dimensional alien entities are said by many authors to astral project like humans do.

 The 6th vibration of spiritual-consciousness; the Astral plane:

The metaphysical energy through which astral phenomena vibrates is relative to a unique variant of subtle frequency that resonates with genuine substance, being no less "real" than so called physical matter, though obscure. The astral plane has seven major vibration sub-divisions, thus according to Sanskrit and Theosophical sources. That energy which consists of astral vibrations is far subtler than those much grosser vibrations in which correspond to the substances of physical matter. Thereby, beholding a vaguely conscious awareness of astral phenomena is scarcely perceivable to the ordinary senses of most average human beings. Even more subtle than astral energy is thought energy, which also resounds with an incontestable frequency of vibration. The planer concourse betwixt astral and thought vibrations is so succinctly super-imposed that there is virtually no concisely noticeable schism which separates these two obliquely adjunct energies.

Concerning the metaphysical paradigm regarding the perceptual nature of astral energy, midst its extra-dimensional presence, astral phenomena tend to innately mirror the much denser vibrations of the physical plane, in terms regarding perceptions of manifestation. Hence, the landscape of the astral plane, so to speak, is mutably subject to alteration as a direct result as to how it naturally procures a resonant magnetism that binds to thought energy vibrations. Thusly, thoughts and emotions thereby mold the correspondent essence of the various states and manifestations of astral terrain, as well as the appearance of astral forms; as readily as one's astral spirit-body is predisposed to influential subjugation by mental thought-forms. The astral plane is likewise influenced by the emotions and thoughts of those spirits which inhabit astral existences, for the astral plane is not only affected and sculpted by only the emotions and thoughts of those astral travelers who incarnately possess sleeping physical embodiments; but also by the permanent spiritual denizens who inhabit that plane. Frankly, the astral plane isn't a mere fantasy, though its metaphysical substance is mutable by thought energy.

Generally, one's thoughts and emotions are predominantly centered on one's earthly life; so hence, not too uncommonly, when astral projection occurs the astral plane indulges certain manifestations based upon those feelings and perceptions in which the astral traveler subconsciously harbors midst the affairs of one's daily life affairs. This notion applies to ordinary dreams as well as lucid dreams, though, in regard to lucid dream states, the astral traveler may both consciously & willfully mold the conditions of the astral landscape, but only within specific discriminatory precincts; for there are some astral states in which cannot be externally changed by the internal thoughts of the astral traveler.

Interestingly, many people regularly lead active lives on the astral plane whenever their physical body enters normal states of sleep, yet in their waking states of consciousness they are often unaware that such phenomena occurs on a daily basis; and some such individuals are very powerful, as much as they are spiritually influential, contrary to their lack of conscious awareness midst their wakeful lives. In other words, the vast majority of all dreaming states are merely unconscious, subconsciously experienced "out-of-body" states; and such phenomena are not mere figments of imagination, of which were absent mindedly orchestrated by the brain of the physical vehicle.

Moreover, for delving further examinations, thus for purposes of deriving more pertinent explanations pertaining to questions which insinuate as to why so many people experience a so called "lapse of astral memory" upon awakening from most ordinary or extra-ordinary dreaming states alike – please refer to: Procuring impressions of astral vibrations upon the physical and ethereal brains, later in this unit.

Disembodied states in relation to N.D.E.s: incomplete

The astral-vehicle: The astral spirit-body is commonly referred to as the emotional body, or sometimes as the desire body. The astral vehicle is generally limited to traversing within the nexus of the seven astral plane sub-divisions; although spiritual mind-body projection, to states beyond the astral plane vibrations, through which the mind body detaches from the astral body, or astral states which involve consciously awakening and thereby melding spiritual mind body sensory perceptions with the astral vehicle, are also achievable: These hiegtened abilities will be discussed more extensively within the next unit.

An astral traveler may access the outermost dimension of the astral plane, which is the 7th density of astral vibration as well as the invisible boundery, of which partitions the ethereal dimension of the physical plane from the outer veil astral plane; it is from thence that the astral traveler may view the physical world from behind the scenes of the prime material plane. Yet if one's astral sight is insufficiently developed, then one's astral ability to clearly observe the physical world may be impared or otherwise distorted.

To the observations of a seer, the Auric features of the desire body deeply express one's Kamic or Karmic essence. The auric-field of the astral body is intimately correspondent to one's emotional status, and thus its coloration will change with as one's emotional status alters, i.e. to compliment the nature of one's mood or thoughts. The depth or hue of one's auric coloration will usually express the current intensity of whichever emotion is being felt. Thusly, the appearance of one's astral body reflects upon one's moral demeanor as well as one's present state of spiritual progress, but to a lesser capacity than one's mental spirit body. If the constitution of a person's emotional and mental convictions are of a noble or virtuous nature, then the luminosity of one's astral body will appear as bright, clear and vibrant; and thus one's astral auric-veil will consistently project hues of coloration which are complimentary to one's positive emotional dispositions; of which the merits of one's virtuous karma may be felt within its radiance.. Also, a bright and vibrant aura is almost always indicative of good health, too. If an individual's emotional and mental temperament is substantiated in immoral, cruel or ill willed tendencies, then one's astral aura will often express dark or gloomy colorations; and correspondently, its luminosity will appear as rather dull. Ill health, not excluding severe emotional turmoil, may also denote an auric appearance that projects sickly colorations, a dull glow or weak vitality. In an unhealthy aura, one's prana force-centers may also appear as spinning more slowly than usual, or certain force-centers may be spinning out of harmonious sequence with others.

Under conditions where one has maintained little control over their emotional status, the evolved shape of one's astral body may appear as disfigured or as displaced. If an individual's astral body is yet underdeveloped, then one's astral vehicle may simply be witnessed as an ill defined luminous egg, or merely as a hazy fog. An individual who possesses a lowly developed astral body may still yet experience profound out of body states, though with having a lesser degree of conscious control. Generally speaking, a well developed astral body will commonly resemble the physical body of the adept, more or less, although it may also be fashioned into the likeness of some other physical form or shape; be it human, humanoid or animalistic in semblance. Its degree of brightness, its clarity and its particular echelon of configuration may better assist in determining the individual's specific level of spiritual advancement; though every one seems to shines brighter in their own rights; for everyone develops uniquely different strengths on the astral plane, for there are almost always exceptions to every perceivable rule. Again, even though a well refined astral body may be fashioned as to appear in whichever human or animal likeness that one desires, more usually than not, one's sub-conscious mind will alter one's astral vehicle in such ways as to manifest itself in mirrored duplicity of one's incarnate physical vessel; yet this subconsciously predetermined phenomenon can be changed or inhibited with unbending intent.

Note: All sensations in which correspond to so called "physical feeling" actually originate from the primary chakra force centers which are situated within the astral body; for the force-centers within the ethereal body merely serve as the vital mediums through which all subtle sensory vibrations may pass between the substances of one's physical and astral bodies. Likewise, it is the astral body that serves as the crucial medium for thought energy, and thus the physical and ethereal brains are merely secondary mediums, in regard to all phenomena relating to the procurence of perceptions which involve feeling.

Note: The astral-center within the interior of the astral vehicle and its correspondence to the four exterior chakras which mediate between the major stationary points of the astral-umbilical-cord: See Chapter 555; The astral center and the silver-umbilical-cord.

Naturally occurring interactions between astral matter and thought energy:

1. Astral matter serves as an energetic medium for Jiva.

2. Astral matter responds to thought energy more effectually than it does to physical or ethereal matter.

3. Thought energy directly animates, alters, influences, molds and also manifests thought-forms through astral matter, be it willed, abstractly focused, conscious or subconscious.

4. Likewise, the astral body can be manipulated by thought in very much the same fashion as the vibrations of astral terrain can be influenced. The state of one's astral body is constantly altered by one's thoughts, both sub-consciously and consciously; but similarly, the condition of one's astral body is also subject to being affected or influenced by the conscious and subconscious thoughts of other people, not just by your own thoughts. Remember that thought is energy; the next unit covers the topic of mental energy more extensively. (Refer to psychic and astral defense methodologies of unit (–) for fortifying auric protections against the incurrence of indirect influences as well as direct attacks from outside forces).

5. There occurs a natural magnetism between astral matter and ethereal matter; astral matter interchangeably acts upon ethereal matter, thusly, rippled reverberations transfer between astral and ethereal vibrations.

Note: Implementing an Auric-shield is ideal for the purpose of deflecting against negative or otherwise incompatible or harmful thoughts of others, via thoughts from external sources; including thought-forms and astral entities. Respectively, one may fortify mental, astral and ethereal auric-shields.

 Distinguishing perceptions of higher out-of-body senses from lower out-of-body senses:

1. Higher out-of-body senses amidst the Devachan plane vibrations: Through mental vision, all five of one's ordinary senses are fluxed in confluence through the sixth sense. Midts an out-of-body state within the Devachan plane, all space is super-imposed; one must merely intend to be at a certain place, and, one is spontaneously teleported upon will. Also, in virtue of one's mind vehicle, the spirit may clairvoyantly tap into virtually 'any knowledge' at will. Also, the mind vehicle can evoke telepathic communion with merely any spiritual being at will, regardless of the plane of vibration in which the intended spirit may currently be residing; and conscious communion may be established through another's subconscious mind if that spirit is bound to a different plane. (Refer to the mental plane subsections for further information regarding mind-body projection).

2. Higher out-of-body states through which one's mind-body sensitivities dominate over one's ordinary astral vehicle capabilities:  A state where one's mental powers become fully dominant over one's limited astral senses, thus whilst retaining total dominion over one's ordinary astral abilities. Hence, under this spiritual status, the five ordinary senses become melded together into one sense, thus through the sixth sense; also, one wields the total capacity to divide, intermediate or shift partitions between any of the ordinary five senses at will. Although many of the classical Theosophist masters had ascertained that only an enlightened master could access this convergence between astral and mental spirit-body sensitivities, to the contrary, it is possible to circumvent the requisite of being a Yoga master; by means of utilizing a "power-plant ally" under applications of rigorous sorcery rites. There are always exceptions to merely every rule, though the potential consequences may be great.

3. Expressions of lower vibration astral vision, and other astral senses: Although telepathy is a power that is ruled by the mind body, it is accessible by virtually all astral travelers, be they highly advanced or not; and whether knowingly or unbeknownstly to their particular state of consciousness. For instance, so called words are communicated telepathically between astral spirits in very much a similar fashion as to how we humans converse through the vocalization of sound, through physical words, midst the physical plane. Additionally, words, thoughts and miscellaneous sounds may also be perceived as 'thought forms' on the astral plane, and, likewise, music may be perceived as an array of contrasting colors, relished by thought forms, or as peculiar vibrations. Some astral travelers "see" intended words through thought forms whilst others correspond telepathically. Those who are not conscious when present on the astral plane may not realize that they are communicating telepathically when conversing with other astral spirits; yet this does not insinuate that they are not communicating under such criteria.

Out-of-body observations of the physical plane through astral-vision: Astral sight tends to vary from one individual to another. An astral traveler who has established a well developed sense of astral sight may see the detailed characteristics of physical forms and physical objects; whilst through a slight shift of astral-vision, that astral traveler will then perceive merely the astral-auras of living beings instead of seeing their physical characteristics, thus seeing them as luminous, egg-shaped sources of light which express various shades of color, brightness of luminosity, and or intensities of vibration. There are yet some astral seers who have not refined the ability through which to "will" such a shift between partitions of astral-vision, and thus such an individual may only perceive things either in one sense or the other. Therefore, to the astral vision of some, observations of matter, be it astral or ethereal in substance, may merely appear as distorted shapes or as layers of contrasting vibrations instead of detailed images which reveal their true forms. An astral traveler who has perfected his or her sense of astral-vision can attune his or her awareness as to clearly distinguish between different forms, objects and shapes, as well as to identify living creatures and their ethereal shades. Further, if one's astral sensitivities have been sufficiently developed, one will retain the capacity for distinguishing between "thought form objects" and actual "physical objects", and etcetera.

Distinguishing thought-form entities from true spirits on the astral plane: On the astral plane vibrations the astral traveler will be able to interact with other astral travelers, as well as with eldritch classes of astral spirits who dwell within the various far regions of the astral vibrations. Besides encountering astral spirits, one will also encounter of thought forms manifestations, both animate and inanimate, as produced by other astral entities; some thought forms are merely empty and are thus void of spiritual-consciousness, whilst others may be inhabited, and thus animated by elemental spirits of either good or evil dispositions. Still yet, there are other types of astral entities besides elementals, who will take possession of thought-forms. Having refined one's astral and mental spirit-body sensitivities, one will be able to psychically discern between animate thought forms of a void nature and thought forms which are being possessed by true spirit-entities. Likewise, one will further yield the telepathic capacity to discern other out-of-body astral travelers from ghosts, O.O.B. animal familiars, nature spirits, devas, assures, and other types of astral beings in which one may encounter when surfing the vast sea of astral vibrations.

Out-of-body astral vision versus in-body astral-vision: Astral vision permits one to see the Auras of humans, animals and plants; similarly, this ability permits one to see astral projected beings, astral entities, i.e. ghosts, and etcetera. Many of the Theosophical definitions for physical plane related astral vision and ethereal vision converge, and in some accounts the descriptions of one or the other may be interpreted as contradictory. Moreover, astral vision includes some of the attributes of attributes of ethereal vision, i.e. enabling one to see through walls and other physical objects.

Ethereal vision: The ethereal plane, which is the invisible sub-division of physical vibration, being the outer-most partition of the physical plane, borders the lowest vibration of the astral plane; hence the bounderies which divide astral-vision from ethereal-vision meet together at virtually the same point of juncture.

1. Ethereal senses are merely an extension of ordinary physical senses. Through ethereal vision one can see through physical matter as well as view the ethereal auras of both physical objects and living creatures. Thusly, through ethereal-vision one may also see shed ethereal shades; those ethereal doubles which are annexed to their living counterparts, and sometimes those shades which are possessed by astral elementaries, and etcetera.

2. It is through astral vision, not ethereal vision, in which one may see astral-entities and animate-thought forms.

3. As with ethereal vision, through astral vision one may also observe ethereal doubles which are appendixed to their living counterparts, shed ethereal shades, and including shades which are possessed by elementaries, as well.  

Feeling astral vibrations versus seeing astral vibrations: There are some practitioners of astral projection who have acquired a stronger sense of astral feeling than that of astral site. Thusly, some such adepts are merely able to "feel" astral vibrations as opposed to seeing them. Some of the more advanced astral practitioners are capable of acutely "feeling as well as seeing" in regard to their astral sensitivities. It is not imminently necessary for one to have refined their sense of astral sight in order to sufficiently achieve out-of-body experiences, or to thus traverse the astral plane; for an astral projected being can telepathically discern, without the requisite of astral site, the accurate identity of one astral traveler from another. One can also identify one astral traveler from another by means of exercising one's keenly refined sense of "astral feeling"; or likewise, to distinguish various classes of astral entities, without necessarily having to see them.

Mental vibration vision versus astral vibration vision: Refer to the Devachan plane subsections under mind-body faculties.

The purification of one's physical vessel is vitally important for the refinement of one's astral-body:

1.   Abstaining from the consumption meat.
2.   Abstaining from the consumption of food and water which has been contaminated by unnatural preservatives, chemicals, poisons and or any other artificial additives.
3.   Consuming only uncontaminated water, and foods such as all natural fruit, vegetables, beans and grains.
4.   Physical exercise.

Note 1: Essentially, the purification of one's mind and body is also crucially important for refining the development of one's astral vehicle and astral senses.

Note 2: The consumption of impure foods and liquids will attract impure astral matter, as well as impure astral spirits, and vice versa; hence is the quality of astral matter of which one's astral body is composed of.

Examples of the types of negative vibration astral entities which are attracted to the impurities which may permeate an unhealthy physical or ethereal embodiment:

1. Elementaries, astral bound ghosts which seek out ethereal and elemental essences, through which to indulge their past addictions or cravings from a prior incarnation.
2. Evil elementals.
3. Negative vibration inorganic beings from extra-dimensions, such as "emissaries".
4. Demonic entities of various types.
5. Succubi demons, banshees, and other kinds of psychic-leeches.
6. Poltergeists.
7. Negative vibration thought form magnetism and harmful thoughts from external sources.

Through the cultivation of positive thought and right action, one's ethereal receptiveness to astral memory or senstivity can be fine-tuned. One must positively and constructively discipline the thought process in such a way that one's state of mind gradually attunes to a higher vibration, and by doing this the ethereal brain will naturally begin to adjust to receiving those higher frequencies of vibration, through this gradual process of thought cultivation. Know that higher vibrations are more subtle than the lower modes of vibration to which the brain has been ordinarily accustomed to receiving, particularly due to such lowly indulgences or tendencies as perpetuated by lazy or negative thought processes. Like a musical instrument which has been fine tuned so as to resonate with specific pitches of sound-wave frequencies, so the brain must also be fine tuned as to become an instrument of higher thought.

 Examples of entraining right thought and right action:  

1.   Good will, good morals and noble attributes of virtue.
2.   Higher aspiritions and constructive goals.
3.   Positive, optimistic thinking.
4.   Performing right action.
5.   Frequent meditation upon noble thoughts.
6.   Maintaining responsibility over one's obligations, duties and matters of importance.
7.   Organization of one's priorities.
8.   Refraining from allowing one's mind to drift from a fixated point of focus.
9.   Concentrating upon the manifestation a specific goal.
10.   Exhibiting compassionate understanding, concern and consideration towards the feelings and needs of others.

The purification of one's astral body is solely reliant upon purifying and refining one's mental body, which also involves disciplining physical cravings. The more such positive qualities of virtue in which one incorporates into his or her daily actions and thoughts, the higher the rate in which one's mental and astral embodiments will begin to vibrate; and hence the lighter one's spirit-bodies become. It is thus that one's denser astral and mental matter burns away, through constant exposure to conditions of higher vibration.

Continually meditating upon positive or considerate thoughts creates like-energy magnetism that externally attracts similar thought forms to one's astral body, from without; and, likewise, indulgences in a negative thought process result in manifesting like energy attractions. Also, fixation upon positive and noble thoughts or emotions tends to naturally deflect any harmful magnetism from plaguing one's astral body from without.

The seven dimensional divisions of the astral plane are, in essence, representative of the seven degrees of one's emotional nature, being greatly affinitive to one's degree of mental evolution. The astral plane readily responds to the predominant stages of one's thought and emotion; conquering the lower states of vibration is to cease in one's desire for expression through the subjective states of lower matter, therefore, accessing the higher vibrations is dependent upon the conditioning of one's attuned frequency of consciousness.

Miscellaneous astral vibration information:
Thought energy that is exressed through attention, intent passion or will, whether consciously or sub-consciously, resultantly manifests thought-forms through astral plane vibrations. There is a natural alchemy of magnetism which occurs between mental-vibration and astral vibration. Likewise, the magnetism of astral vibration thought-forms will attract, harness and mold ethereal vibrations.

1.   When astral projection occurs the mental veil remains intact with the astral vehicle.
2.   The form and capacity of one's astral vehicle can actually be altered, developed and refined.
3.   The astral body may be harmed as the result of astral attack, hence it is highly suggestable that the practitioner should study the notes of astral and psychic defense, as presented within this Grimoire, as a precautionary measure for establishing ample protections against incurring contact with potentially harmful astral energies.

Highly advanced astral projection adepts can actually learn how to materialize the protoplasm of their astral form into visible appearance, thus similarly as to how supernatural beings are capable of manifesting images of their spiritual likenesses; compare this phenomenon to that of evoking thought form manifestation. The astral vehicle is also said to sustain ample potential as a telekinetic conduit, thus accomplished by means of astrally influencing ethereal energy. Moreover, as mentioned elsewhere in this chapter, a bridge of energy can be manifested between the astral and ethereal vibrations by refining the third-eye gateway between the astral and ethereal brows chakrams, resulting in naturally opening the seal that perpetuates the astral-shield; once the third-eye blockade of the atomic-shield has been lifetd, it thusly allows one to consciously recollect one's dreams and astral experiences.

Astral experiences are not a product of the brain: In terms of astral manifestation, such phenomena resultantly reflect upon the constitution and temperament of the thought energy in which rules the subconscious attention of the astral traveler, which seeds the constructs of one's astral environment. One's frame of mind midst waking states of consciousness often stains the astral body with the crimson ink which subconsciously bleeds into dictating the nature of one's astral experiences. Yet please understand that the manifestations of one's astral experiences are not products which were derived brain of the physical body.

Astral experiences are phenomena which occur independently of the brain, for one's spiritual mind and astral body truly exist outside of the brain, though one's spiritual mind is temporarily subject to being filtered by the brain, during embodied states of consciousness. Reiterated, just because (many of) one's astral experiences are subconsciously influenced by one's waking states of mind; the brain of the physical vehicle is yet not the creator thereof! How so? After all, you do believe that you are a spiritual being, right? Then, why would your astral experiences be merely delusions which were fabricated by the brain of your physical vehicle if you are a spiritual being?! Thoughts arise as the resultant product of one's spiritual ego, and not as a creation of the brain of the physical vehicle, even though the brain "filters" one's thoughts during waking states of consciousness.

Procuring astral vibration impressions upon the physical and ethereal brains & memory: When the spiritual-entity is connected to the brain of the physical body, mental vibration impressions constantly relay, in reverberated confluence, between one's spiritual mind force-centers, which are situated within one's Auric-field, and the brain of one's physical body. Memory and thought vibrations which correspond to physical states of consciousness "subconsciously impress upon" the astral mind center, more readily than astral vibrations "consciously impress upon" the brain of the physical body. Hence, physical memory is subconsciously transferred to, and thus stored as vibration impressions, within one's astral body; which in turn contributes to the subconscious manifestations of astral thought form phenomena. In other words, one's daily experiences in the physical world latently stain one's astral body with residual influences, which tend to subconsciously manifest themselves on the astral plane. The astral body is comparable to a mirror which stores the energetic impressions of those reflections in which it holds, though subconsciously.

*Astral phenomena has absolutely nothing to do with how the ethereal and physical brains  incoherently and irrationally re-arrange memory impressed vibrations unto their own devices, whilst the astral body is disconnected from their influences during sleep. Again, the consciousness-thread of the spirit-entity disconnects from the brain of the physical and ethereal bodies during astral experiences; regarding which modern science does not acknowledge. Refer to: "The ethereal aura of the physical body and the ethereal double of the brain and nervous system of the physical vehicle" for more in depth information concerning memory impressions.

The spiritual-consciousness-ground, which is significantly moderated by the astral-shield of the ethereal brain, is naturally programmed to be unreceptive to transmissions of subtle astral vibrations, including astral memory. By means of exercising discipline over one's thoughts, the filtration process of the brain can be rewired so that it will gradually become more receptive instrument for translating the subtle codes of astral vibrations, thusly, when one's astral vehicle and spiritual mind return to a state of electromagnetic cohesion with the brian of the pjhysical body. Hence, the majority of all dreaming experiences are, in reality, unconscious astral projections, through which the adjoined link between one's conscious and sub-conscious minds has been ultimately divorced. Typically, one's inability to recall astral experiences is simply because, for most people, the physical brain is unnatuned to being the receptacle of astral vibration impressions, i.e. astral memory, upon awakening from sleep.

Vibration impressions between the astral mind center and the ethereal brain impress upon one another whenever one's astral vehicle remerges into embodied union with the physical vehicle. The substance of memory is naturally mediated through thought and vibration impressions; and it is through a particticular vibration of frequency that memory becomes imprinted as a uniquely encoded program or language.

Sensory vibration impressions of most astral phenomena are generally unable to penetrate the atomic shield of the ethereal brain; therefore, those vibration impressions which reach the brain are processed as if they were encoded in an incompatible ghost script program. Therefore, upon awakening from sleep, as one's astral body returns to its electromagnetically grounded state of cohesion to the ethereal brain and the atomic shield of the ethereal aura, higher perceptions of consciousness are filtered back into one's subconscious mind. As embodied cohesion occurs, receptions of denser vibration impressions flood the attention of one's grounded mind, and sensations which encompass one's ordinary state of consciousness quickley over-power one's much subtler astral vibration sensitivities. The astral brows force-center, the atomic-shield & the ethereal brows force-center: Experiencing a lucid astral experience, as opposes to an ordinary dream state, is primarily dependent upon the functionality of one's ethereal and astral brows force-centers. If the ethereal brows chakra has not yet been refined, then the atomic astral shield of the ethereal body will continue to prevent one's ethereal brows chakra from consciously receiving the transference of mental vibration impressions of memory from through the astral brows chakra; correspondently, the astral brows chakra must be developed so that one may experience consciousness states of astral projection. Through purifying one's astral and mental embodiments, the more readily that subtle astral vibrations will permissibly penetrate the atomic shield of the ethereal aura, and this will permit an open exchange of memory impressions to consciously transmit between the physical brain and the astral mind center. Hence, the ethereal brain will gradually become more receptive as to permitting all subtle vibration impressions from astral vibrations to pas through the atomic shield. The astral brows chakra is suppressed and locked-out by the atomic shield. Development of the ethereal brows force-center slowly breaks down the atomic shield which blinds the astral brows force-center from procuring one's abiliity to experience fully conscious astral projections and to perceive astral phenomena.

*Attention, awareness, thought and intent imprint permanent mental frequencies of memory upon the vibration of prana medium through which they travel, which in turn cause ripples of frequency which reverberates through vibration substances of subsequent planes. Attention, awareness and thought cause vibration impressions which record memory; awareness, thought and light are one, as memory is one with light.

Metempsychosis and the astral body: The energy in which makes up one's current astral-vehicle is eventually shed after the death of one's physical-vehicle occurs. A new astral veil is later acquired following the natural process of metempsychosis. Much as with the requisite of having to once again attune one's self to tapping and refining Kundalini after reincarnating into a new physical-vehicle, one's newly acquired astral-vehicle must also be refined in a similar manner. Some far Eastern philosophies, particularly those of Chinese origin, claim that the astral body must be created by the practitioner, yet Sanskrit philosophy reveals that the astral body already exists within the intricate system of energy-veils of the aura but, rather, must be gradually developed and or refined as to become a functioning astral-vehicle; on the contrary to being "created". Hence, the Author intrinsically agrees with the Sanskrit concept refining the astral body as a vehicle as opposed to the Taoist conception of creating it. Reiterated; the astral-veil is naturally created during the reincarnation process, and thus it cannot be "created" by the practitioner proceeding rebirth; although a new astral body must be again refined by the spirit-entity following the occurrence of every reincarnation.

Telepathic communion via O.O.B. states: Telepathy is a mode of spiritual communion through the frequency of thought-vibration transmissions between two or more spirit-entities. Frankly, "spirits" communicate by means of telepathic conversation. Hence, the uncanny capacity of this phenomenon penetrates the "illusory communication barriers" in which all so called physical-vibration derived languages present; thusly, telepathy spiritually transcends the physical communication limitations which all too commonly cause confusion as the result of incurred misinterpretations posed by words, a foreign language, the specifics of intent, unadulterated thoughts and or purity of emotional status.

Although telepathic communion is a sensory perception that is derived from the Devachan or mental plane, this phenomenon is innately converged with astral plane correspondence; yet not all astral entities and astral travelers are aware of that they are telepathically communicating with one another when they converse, for the unconscious ones, such as some purgatory bound ghosts, are disillusioned as to believe that they are still speaking through their mouths! Through the refinement of one's spiritual mind embodiment faculties, and thus through the coalesce of consciously melding one's mind body sensory perceptions with one's astral vehicle, one then becomes aware of telepathic communion midst the astral plane.

Remember that even though astral vibrations hold actual substance, as subtle as it may be, disembodied spirits that reside on the astral plane, including astral-projected spirits, have no physical mouths through which to convey their thoughts; so it is thus by means of telepathic communion that two spiritual entities may converse with one another, regardless of whether they think that they are talking with their mouths. What makes you any different than they? – Other than the fact that you are merely a spirit who currently possess a physical vehicle, and yet they do not?!

Achieving a simultaneous state of astral projection with another, whilst in the company of one or more other astral practitioners, tends to naturally manifest an open channel of telepathic communion between the thoughts of the out-of-body participants involved. Merging astral vehicles is an exceptionally effective means for manifesting a resonant bridge of mental energy between the spiritual-consciousness-principles of two astral projected practitioners; this activity results in melding their spiritual-consciousness-threads or Sutratma-threads, and thus acclimates their astral and mental vehicles to naturally honing into one another's specific channel of thought frequency; thus igniting a spontaneous state of communion betwixt the thought transmissions and thought receptions of their spiritual minds. Exposure to long, drawn-out, intense durations of astral projection interactions with the company of another out-of-body traveler will tend break down your mental-shield barriers. Merging astral-vehicles will inevitably cause energetic resonance between your mental and emotional vibrations, of which may endure beyond the astral plane. As telepathic communion occurs between you and your partner's minds, you will likely enter into and out of disembodied states together; as your spirits will spontaneously return to your physical bodies at once; only to go back out-of-body together again, and without the immediate diminishing of your melded telepathic link.

Once your astral vehicles have merged back into cohesion with your physical vehicles, your telepathic link will eventually cease due to the gradual sealing of the atomic-astral shield within the ethereal aura, betwixt the astral and ethereal brows force-centers; of which seals the third-eye.
