Every time i try to fly in a lucid dream i get vertigo when i look down, and often wake up because of the shock.

I'm sure some of you have experienced this too...

¿You got any tips to avoid vertigo? ¿Or it is just trial and error?

thanks.

Yesterday i went to sleep very tired. As i was lying in bed, i suddenly realized i couldnt move my body parts easily. They felt very heavy.
Anyway, as i was staring at the ceiling and trying to move, I felt being pulled from the chest onto a sitting position. I could move my legs and arms slowly.

It was very dark and difficult to see, even darker than normal nightime.
I could get off my bed, walk a little bit and if i wished it, "teleport" back to my bed and repeat this process.
I believe i was fully concious because i said "ok this is it i must try to get an OBE or an AP with this!"
But i never could really detach from my body. I tried to walk throught the walls but i couldnt, lol. I tried to fly but i couldnt. I think i hoovered a little sometime but that was it.

What was really weird is that i can swear being like this for 2 hours at least. It was such a long time. The alarm clock started to sound and i could hear it, and i was still in this state.
Heard some people taking a shower, etc... i remember i could feel the moisture of the vapour coming out of the bathroom

Started to think i was dead or smth lol. Then i heard my heartbeat and i thought i was ok. It really felt like for an eternity. I have never had such a long experience.

By the way, are you supposed to walk through stuff and float when you AP? or its something totally different, like you are not even in a physical world?

Thanks.

I didnt really know where to put this topic, since it is somehow related to energy in our body i decided to put it in here.

That off, are there any methods of "deep sleeping", i mean, sleeping half the time and wake up like you slept double?

Or maybe a method to regain the energy you lose during the day, then have a short nap and wake up? (I dont fully understand how it works)
This would be really helpful.

Thanks!

Welcome to Dreams! / Sharing my first lucid dream
January 22, 2010, 12:29:38
As a child i had nightmares almost on a daily basis. (BTW, is this normal or product of too much TV? lol). Thankfully, now i haven't had a nightmare for like 7-8 years or so.

Anyway, as i had nightmares every day, before going to sleep i wished to be able to control my dream, and let me be the one that terrifies the others (I know it sounds awful but hey i was a kid lol)

One day i felt asleep and managed to get control of my dream. I think it was some zombie or demon strike against a town (This happened when i was less than 10 years old). Very lame for a lucid dream i know, but this was my first experience of me being on fully control of my actions (The best thing i remember is the ability to look wherever i wanted). I think after that the nightmares stopped.

Dont know why but i remember many of my dreams i had in my life (Sometimes i can swear that they repeat!, dream deja vu lol). In fact, there was a period of my life that i could swear that i kept dreaming the same stuff over and over. (BTW, by "dreaming" i mean remember my dreams, i know you always dream when you fall asleep)

But those days are long gone now and im now a "normal" person (Nothing against "unnormal" persons heh). Well i dont know, maybe this is why im so interested on astral projection.

I remember almost all of my nightmares so if you want a good scare (or laugh, you name it) i'm more than willing to share them with you.

Hope you enjoyed my story! lol

When i was around 13-12, i had a very weird experience that never has repeated.

On summer break, i was laying down on my bed, it was 11:30 PM at night (i had a clock over the TV so every time i went to sleep i knew what time it was). I was calmly falling asleep, then suddenly i felt being dropped onto my bed, and the time on the clock was 2:30 AM. I know for a fact that i didnt fall asleep because i had my eyes opened. It was very weird and never felt anything like it before.

I was wondering if anyone have had similar experiences? Thank you.

Hello ppl, well so yesterday I tried Hemi-Sync lucid dreaming series. I fell asleep with the "relaxing sounds of rainfall" and had a very strange dream.

I dreamt of floating above my own body, everything was colorless (maybe a little brownish but cant tell exactly) and i started to float up, going backwards but i couldnt control my direction

I could go through the walls of my house, but i couldnt control where i was going (I just kept floating up)

After this, dont know how, was transported to a warehouse and i was doing some mantainance there. (In my job i did this in real life, hence my scepticism of this being an OBE or not)

I started to feel a little uncomfortable, and wished to return to my house. Well i did, but i was staring to the ceiling and coulnt move or talk. Whenever i wished to wake up, i heard a loud buzzing noise on my ears. It was really annyoing almost painful.

So i kept wishing to wake up, but the buzzing noise kept getting louder. I did one last try with all my will, and i managed to wake up, feeling very disturbed, breathing heavy.

This is not the first time that i can't wake up from sleep. Once i dreamt being face down on the bed, feeling a cold, chilling breeze on the back of my neck. I felt very afraid and disturbed that time, and like my experience last night, couldn't wake up until i tried with all my strength.

Is this normal? or is this something out of the ordinary?
Thanks
