Well, It all started out as me chasing these dogs into this huge mansion.  The door was unlocked and opened to any stranger which was definately strange.  I ran into this weird huge video game place.  It looked like a casino except it was filled with videogames.  So, I walked in and I stood on the stool thing.  I pointed at this neon light thing and all of a sudden I became lucid.  I started walking through the area, looking for Bao(Hehe, I like him).  I wasnt really thinking about him, I was just shouting his name.  All of a sudden, I stopped when I saw him and I got sooooooo excited that I woke up [:(] Lucid Dreams are evil! :O

RECORD YOUR DREAMS

Yes it sounds like an OOBE.

You don't look into mirrors because you wind up in an alternate Astral place, that isn't the real time zone.  It's one of the reasons some religions cover mirrors in the home of someone that has died, so the spirit doesn't get trapped before it passes on.  Mirrors can't harm a living person, you will wake normally anyway.

Welcome to Dreams! / What is this?
April 23, 2004, 20:21:38
people always almost get hit by cars, and houses always burn down

who almost got hit, someone you know?

and did you know the house that burned down? How did you know it was the same one?

Sometimes just thinking about ESP a bit can make you have those kinds of things/dreams happen to you... at leats for me it can.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / OBE?

sounds like it was an OBE-- but since im not you its hard to say. i know the "fuzzy vision" very well though--u probably saw the spider because you were still scared from the nightmare and it caused you to think things which got created. or something like that...

You were probably still asleep when this occured.  What's called "waking up in a dream."  I'm guessing this because it VERY common to have melting hands when you look at them while sleeping or APing.  Either way I wouldn't be too worried, Hope that helps [8D]

At the time of the experience, did you KNOW you were dreaming?  Or did you know you were wide awake?

This is usually how I determine the difference between an LD and an OBE/AP.  In one case, you're consciously aware that you're in a dream.  In the other, you're aware that you're not dreaming, and that you're indeed projecting.

About seeing people who are not physically there (in the case of your Aunt Jessica), this is very common.  I have often projected into rooms of my house and seen family members there who were not even in the house at the time.

The way I look at things like that, we're all multi-dimensional beings.  As a spiritual, energetic being, one facet of me is typing this response....another part of me is thinking about my childhood home and running aroung the kitchen.  So, if a friend were to OBE right now and try to contact me, they may either come into my office and see me typing, or they may see me running around my childhood home in the body of a small child.

Welcome to Astral Projection Experiences! / OBE?
September 26, 2003, 13:16:42
Hi kitty, ya that would be an obe. The last one I had was very similar to yours in that it was in the morning. And I could here buzzing vibrations that increased and eventually I was floating. Lol, for a minute I actually thought I was dead. I got excited 2 cause I thought I was goin to heaven. Of course I jumped out of bed like a maniac to tell my parents what had happened. And of course they just passed it off as a vivid dream. But at least you guys and myself beleive me. [:D]

Welcome to Dreams! / Lucid Dreaming

I think lucid dreaming is a training ground for obe's since you have to have a certain amount of awareness to obe and lucid dreams are similar though less intense. Also Tibetian Buddhist Lamas say that developing awareness while lucid dreaming is good training for the time after one dies since many things can trick your awareness of who and what you are-which is also similar to obe experiences. I have not dwelt much on the sybolism of lucid dreams because it seems like it matters more about how aware you can become.

Is it when you take over your dream?

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / QUESTIONS on OBE
September 20, 2003, 16:50:11
Can you meet other A.P.ers?
Yes, provided both parties have sufficient ability  - i.e. are able to induce OBE simultaneously and have enough control over their actions during OBE.

When you A.P. can other people (people not in A.P.) see you?
From the perspective of OBEer, sometimes they can see and interact with you, but the people themselves are not aware of any communication taking place.

What happens when you look in the mirror during A.P.?
I don't know. Get out and take a look for yourself.

When people are sleeping, Can they see A.P.ers in their dreams?
I don't know, but since, according to the experts, many people AP in their dreams, then why not? However, Monroe mentioned that he was unable to engage into such communication with sleeping people.

Can you talk to people who are not in A.P.?
As I previously mentioned, you can "talk" to people that are awake, but they are not aware of the communication.

hi Kitty Katty !

There's still a lot of debate as to what does & what does not constitute an "OBE".

In my opinion, dreams - lucid dreams - OBE are part of a continuum of conciousness....but there are plenty of people here who disagree.
