Hello all,

I used to post here ages ago. Haven't been into AP for ages. Trying to get back into it.

Made a failed attempt a couple nights ago when I went to bed. Should really have known better. Ended up awake half the night.

But success! Went for a nap this evening and woke up in sleep paralysis. Turned into a false awakening of me trying to get help cause I couldn't move right and my sight was messed up. Then I popped back into SP. Another false awakening. Three times before I figured out what was going on. Rolled out into darkness on the floor. Then went into into the living room where I got my sight.

My first thought was to try for some verification. Room was a mess. I counted 5 bottles of ketchup. Woke myself up. Knew straight away there wouldn't be 5 bottles of ketchup lol. Turns out there was one though.

I've been slacking for quite a while in regards to dream work and obe's. My dream recall was getting very poor so I tried something and it worked right away.

Before bed or when meditating, imagine a big old book with "Beliefs" written on the cover. Open it up to an empty page and write "I remember my dreams". Close the book and put it to the side. Do the same with books entitled, "expectations", and, "facts".

Tonight I'm going to try having a lucid dream by writing in a book called "Intentions". I'll let you know if it works.

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Deltadream
February 16, 2012, 14:24:31
Found this great mp3 called deltadream. It's music with a combination of solfeggio tones and delta binaurals.

I've gone for a nap twice while listening to it and had multiple obe's both times.

Gave it to my mum to listen to and she didnt have an obe but she started seeing a blue light moving up her legs and then an orange light with the feeling of a force pushing up through her back where she gets back pain. I asked her if she had any dreams but all she remembers is looking at a cloudy sky.

Only $0.99 on amazon.com

Just got contacts yesterday. Daily desposable ones. Enjoying being able to see again.

I know you're not supposed to sleep in them but I'm wondering if its ok to meditate it them (with your eyes closed).

If it's not then I wouldnt be able to meditate during the day without wasting a pair of lenses.

Any contact wearers here who meditate? Does it cause you any problems? I tend to meditate for between 20 minutes and an hour.

At some point this afternoon (uk time), I noticed a split-second blip where the daylight disapeared. I was in-doors without the lights on and not looking at a window so I didnt see what it was but it was too quick and too much a drop in light for me to come up with any reasonable explanation. It was like the daylight just disapeared for a moment.

On a whim I asked my dad if he saw anything similar and he had experienced the same thing. He was about 20 miles from where I was. Neither of us can remember seeing a drop in light like this before. If a lorry could somehow speed past right outside your window then maybe but I'm 4 floors up and he was out in the country.

Just thought I'd ask if anyone else noticed the same thing.

That thread Ryan bumped with Frank talking about moving between focus levels inspired me to try the slats method again. I'd only tried it once before and it didnt work.

So when I remembered my objective I sat down on some grass next to a pond and started trying the slats thing. Try as I might nothing happeded. Then for some reason I decided to fall face down into the black water of the pond infront of me.

Suddenly I was in a 2D blackness. Pure all encompassing blackness but with no sense of depth. I've never experienced this before. I couldnt feel having a body and I usually have one in the 3D void. I sort of looked to see if I had one, although I cant describe how I looked about in a 2 dimensional place. It might not even have been two dimensional(what would 1D feel like?).

I felt like I was moving/flying about but it didnt feel like it does in a 3D environment. I cant really describe the sensation. Oddly, there was a pretty awesome hip-hop tune playing. It was based around two dissonant chords a semi-tone apart.

After a while a scene materialises and I'm sitting inside a bath, on the inside facing sideways, looking at a wall. Still feels like a dream environment. So I try the slats method again. I'm not getting anyhthing. So I try to just become aware of another reality overlain with the one I'm in. Nothing. I'm trying all sorts. I can feel my eyes moving as I try to change focus. Nothing.

So I close my eyes. Sit in darkness for a while. Start to see through the lids. Close them again(pretty neat considering I never opened them again first). Do this a couple of times and when I start to see again the wall infront of me now has a window in it looking onto an out door wall a coulpe of feet away. I watch a spider building a web for a bit then get bored.

It then started to get too dream like as a guy I knew from prison went past the door asking if anyone could lend him a dvd player. Woke up.

Anyone experience a 2D blackness before? And does anyone here actually have any success with Franks slats method? Any tips on getting it to work?

Is it just me or have my last 2 posts gone blank. I dont see anything.

http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_consciousness/heart_chakra_technqiue-t34844.0.html

And I keep seeing random words replaced with 'bonking'. Think the auto sensor might be playing up.

So far I've seen f o c u s i n g , f a l l i n g and r e m e m b e r i n g replaced. And they're in posts that I read earlier on when they hadnt been replaced.

I read a post where someone said the phasing tutorial began and ended with looking at the back of your eyelids and expecting to astral travel. So I thought I'd mention some things you can do with your eyes that makes the noticing approach to phasing easier in my opinion. Personally, I cant phase without doing this.

If you check you'll find that when you close your eyes to go to sleep they look downwards. And when you open them again they look back up. It's like your eyes want to be in sync with your upper eyelids.

When phasing, the first thing I do after closing my eyes is lift my gaze a little. Not quite as far as a right angle with my head. Somewhere between 60 and 80 degrees in relation to my face. You might find it lets a bit more light through your eyelids but it's not really a hinderance. You'll find a point that's as far as you can look up and still be relaxed without your eyes opening by themselves.

The next thing I do is move my eye's focus farther away from my face. Maybe about a foot. Like if you were holding your finger a foot infront of your face and looking at it. You're going to hold your focus at this point.

You might find the combination of these two actions has the effect of moving the blackness a little farther from your face, as if giving it some depth. Doing these things brings on visuals SO much faster for me.

Now you just wait for the flashes of colour and stuff. The key to not losing it when you start to see stuff is keeping your focus away from your face. It's almost like the visuals are occuring in the space between your eyes and where you're focusing. Your eyes will want to try and look at them but of course they cant because there isnt actually anything there to look at. So for a while you need to kind of ignore the visuals. Be aware that stuff is there but dont concern yourself with what it is. As it progresses you'll be able to tell what you're seeing more clearly. It's a natural process.

It's like a transition period between using your physical eyes and your minds eye. Both are active. The longer you can keep your eyes from trying to focus on the visuals the more your physical sight will disengage and the visiuals will start to take more shape and become clearer.

Theres nothing more to it. Thats all I do.

There is a slightly different method I use sometimes that works as well.

With your eyes closed, imagine you were looking at you finger out infront of your face. I dont mean actually visualise a finger but just move your eye's focus to where it would be if you were looking at one. Now slowly bring it towards you while keeping focus on it. When it gets to your face keep going! Move it into your head a couple of inches and keep your focus on it. I know you eyes physical focus wont actually be at that point but just go with it. What this does is shift your attention from your physical eyes to your minds eye.

The previous method was to hold your attention on your physical sight(or rather the lack of) while ignoring the non-physical, just waiting it out until the physical switched off. This method is the other way round - you ignore the physical. This is what you're doing when you use the visualisation method of phasing but in this instance we're just noticing while holding our attention on our minds eye.

Just like before, hold your attention here when you start to see stuff. I find I can recognise what I'm seeing much earlier with this method and it's a lot less distracting on my physical eyes.

So I ended up in a dimly lit room with an oriental looking woman and someone else I cant remember. There was a low table with a cuboid shaped thing on it. The thing was maybe 6 inch square and 3 inches high and it had a stranged curved symbol-like protusion kind of embossed on the top.

I could feel serious energy coming from it and when I put my hand close I could feel it even stronger. I asked the woman what it was and she told me it was a chakra. She told me the name of it but I couldnt understand her. It was 'something' chakra. Her accent was weird though and even the word chakra sounded funny.

I started telling her about my chakras and the different things I've been doing with them.I hadnt been speaking for very long before she sort of waved dismissivly and said 'yes, yes I know. I read your application form'(Dunno what that meant).

During the time that I was talking she started rubbing the pit of my throat with her thumb or finger in a way that was quite uncomfortable. It felt like she was doing it to help me though so I let her continue.

When I was telling her about how it was NEW that first got me started with energy she said "oh you would like Alexander Tuffi then.)

Well I havent been able to find anyone on amazon with that name but I've havent tried different spellings of tuffi or similar names yet. Her accent was strange so I'm not too hopeful and for all I know he might not even be someone from this reality.

The chakra thing is whats got me wondering the most though. Does a box-like thing called a chakra make sense to anyone?

Oh, and I've been working with a cd of a woman(christine day) who claims to be channeling pleiadian energies. Has anyone here got experience with the Pleiadians? I was wondering if this oriental looking woman could be one. Mainly because of the 'application form' comment. I've blanked out on numerous occasions when listening to the CD's and suppose I could have done something akin to filling in a request form when in that state.

For me the hardest part of traditional obe-ing has always been getting in a good trance. I struggle with the motion based methods.

I asked my dreams for a method that would work for me and was given this. Was wondering if someone could give it a go and see if it works for them too or if it's just me.

Do whatever you do to deeply relax and then hold your attention on the top back of your head where you hair swirls round. I've got a little bump there, I dont know if thats normal. Sometimes I'll do little NEW style stirring motions on it to get started. Thats all I do, hold my attention there. Works like a charm for me.

I'm curious if theres something special with that point on the head or if it's just me.

I've been doing the merkaba meditation every day for three weeks now and there has been a huge increase in my lucid activity for the past fortnight. I've been having loads of lucid dreams. Every night or two. I've been having more spontaneous projections than was normal as well. The other night I had four LD's in a row. When I'd wake up from one I would just go back to sleep and pop straight into another.

I tried the merkaba thing a while back and didnt get anywhere with it. I struggled to visualise it and figured that was the problem so just gave up. This time I'm not bothering to visualise it much. I'm just trying to feel it and know that its there.

What I think is the big difference though is that I wasnt paying any atttention to the first instruction, "Open your heart and feel love for all life."

I'm now starting with a good 15-20 minutes on the metta bhavana to build up as great a feeling of love as I can before I begin the merkaba meditation.

I cant reccomend it enough. If you do it make sure to feel as much love as you can - it makes all the difference.

So I'm talking to my dad last night and telling him some traditional astral dynamics style obe techniques. He has his eyes closed imagining them and then when he opens them he says that he had started to see stuff. Needless to say I was surprised because they were'nt phasing techniques.

So I put on the Dimensional Pineal Attunement track off Tom Kenyon's Assension Codes CD because he said he'd seen some shapes the last I had it on. So he closes his eyes and sarts concentrating. Before long I could tell he was seeing stuff by his facial expressions. He wasnt even lying down and was even rubbing his hands together at times.

By the time the track stopped he was sitting fairly still with his head down. He stayed like that for a few moments then looked up at me. He described moving through the hynagogic stage and then full scenes appearing before him as if he was watching them through a camera that was panning across a landscape.

The track isnt even 6 minutes long! And he wasnt doing any techniques. Just letting it happen.

So I made him a longer version where it loops before I left last night.

Turns out he gets this thing when he's really tired and trying to stay awake listening to someone where he'll pop straight into a dream while standing up. He doesnt realise it's a dream and often knocks things over because he can still move a bit.

I'm seriously jelous of how easilly this comes to him. The track doesnt help me in phasing at all although I must say I can achieve some very profound states while listening to many of the tracks on his CD's.

For anyone curious, the file I mentioned is available for free in a demo on his website.

Welcome to Dreams! / Using smell to trigger lucidity
February 12, 2011, 04:01:17
I've noticed a few times that physical smells can work their way into my dreams. I sleep with the window open and a couple of times the wind must have changed or something and a horrible rotten smell has come through from the waste management centre around the corner. I've experienced the smell in my dream and upon waking have realised where it was coming from.

I was thinking if you could make some sort of device that would emit a smell after you had been sleeping for a while you could resolve that the next time you smelled it you would become lucid. I was thinking if you used a strong scent that you never encounter in your life it might stand a decent chance of working. You would only associate that smell with the desire to lucid dream.

I'm looking for any ideas of how to generate the smell.

So far I've thought of making a candle where only the bottom of it is scented. Seems like too much work for something that would only work once though.

The other thought I've had is putting some sort of essential oil in a capsule and then freezing it inside an ice cube. Put it in a cup on top of a heater, go back to sleep, and then once the ice has melted the capsule should melt and give off the smell.

Would be fiddley getting the capsule to freeze right in the middle of the ice cube though.

At the moment I'm favouring the ice cube method but I thought I'd see if any one had some better ideas. Ideally you would be able to easily control when the smell was emited.

Any ideas?

Welcome to Dreams! / Anne Lemon
January 16, 2011, 04:47:01
I was in a Lucid dream around three weeks ago asking to speak to my guide but there was no one around. I kept asking to speak to anyone who could help. I even asked for Frank at one point lol.

I suddenly saw my grandfather doing some gardening(he's still alive). So I went up to him and asked why I havent been able to enter the void lately and why I've been struggling to phase recently(I need to remember to ask just one question at a time).

He replied that I need to speak to Anne Lemon.

Whether thats a real person or it means something else I dont know. I considered phoning all the A. Lemon's in the phone book and asking if they know anything about AP but I figure it's pretty unlikely to be a real person. I've been trying to think of anything relevant that a lemon could represent but without luck.

It's such a specific answer I reckon it's got to mean something.

Any ideas?

So I was in LD and tried falling backwards to enter the void. Recently thats just resulted in me lying on the ground but I keep trying cause it used to work.

This time there was some give in the ground when I landed so I tried to pull myself through it. As I pulled myself through what felt like some sort of barrier, I started to feel an uncomfortable, almost painfull sensation like my energy was incompatible with the place I was going into.

As I popped through into a light gray void, my heart chakra started burning in my back. I fell through this void for a while. Time was strange there. Kind of disjointed.

After a while, the void gave way and I was in a room. It's a bit easier to describe the time thing from there because I properly had a body. If I tried to move my arm it was like the top part of my arm would move, and then a few moments later the middle of my arm would move, but the top part of my arm was still moving during the moments pause. A few moments after the middle part, the end part would move. By the time the rest of my arm had caught up to the original movement of the top part, if I hadnt waited for it to catch up it would start to curl round with the momentum.

That's not exact but it's the closest I can get to describing the way time and movement were disjointed.

There were three people in the room and they seemed to find my attempts to figure out how to move in this environment amusing. They started to imitate the way in which I was walking and we fell into a rather comical shuffling dance around the room.

I could see out of the room and I considered going exploring but I figured it was such a unique experience I shouldnt risk forgetting it so I woke myself up.

Do you reckon if you used the frequencies for opening higher chakra's on an animal it might help them along at all in their evolution of cosciousness?

I'm generally dead against experimenting on animals but I cant decide whether this would be cruel or not. Anyone know if the hemi-sync tones have been tested on animals to see if they go into focus 10 or not?

I went round to the shop for my mum tonight. When I got back and came out of the stairwell my mum was already standing with the door ajar and a freaked out look on her face. Apparently, just  moments before I got there, there were four slow, loud knocks on the door. If a person had knocked they couldnt have gotten away without being heard; both the elevator and the door to the stairwell make a loud noise.

Why would a ghost knock the front door? Could it not get in unless the door was opened for it?

I'm pretty freaked out now. Some nights when I stay here I get creeped out a bit thinking I can feel a prescence in the room where I sleep but I've always just passed that off as my innate fear of mirrors in silent rooms(weird I know).

To make matters worse she's now just told me about the time her bedroom door opened by itself(it cant move by accident, theres a very thick carpet under it).

I had a terrifying experience as a kid once when spending the night in a haunted room so I get pretty freaked out when there are signs of ghosts.

To get over my fear I'm considering trying to make contact it with it.  Any tips on how I could go about it? I've projected to the RTZ from here and never seen anything. Do earth-bound ghosts reside in some specific focus level? Any techniques for getting there?

I was lying in bed last week listening to the ringing in my ears. I wasnt trying to project although I was intending to later that night. Wasnt even in a trance really, just relaxing before sleep.

Suddenly an intense beam/wave of energy started coming at me from above. My first reaction was that I was under attack. It was unlike anything I've experienced before. It felt like I was being pushed out phase with relality or something. It wasnt like the energy you draw on when you do enrgy work. It felt  like some beam out of star trek or like lying under a huge waterfall of some foreign energy.

If I had chosen to I could still have got up out of bed and stopped it but I decided to go with it and mentally said "you have my permission to do this". The energy kept going through me and it fet like I was coming apart. I remember thinking at one point that this could be the end of me and I might have made an awful mistake in letting it continue.

After a minute or two it stopped and I had astral sight and my arms were out of body. By this point I was assuming it was my guide that had done this but I still didnt get any respense when I asked to speak to them once I'd gotten away from my body.

I think the energy has done something to me. My block on flying above a certain hight has gone. And the next night I somehow managed to phase within 10 minutes without even being in a proper trance first. It was weird, the trance came after I had phased. I was suddenly going along in the sea beside a submarine and when it submerged so did I.

As we quiclky sunk I became partially aware of my body again which was dropping into a deeper and deeper trance with our descent.

I had never been able to get into water in a projection before, there always seemed to be some kind of barrier around the sea.

All this in just two nights is quite exciting for me.

I recently got my first visual glipse of my guide. I had my arms out of body and was trying to get the rest of me out when I saw a small blur of movement and colour. I instictivly swatted at it with my hand and got a thunk round the head in reply. I recognised the feeling of the thunk and that it was my guide. I got the impression it didnt like me swatting at it.

For some reason I keep acting like an arse to my guide and I'm worried it might just give up on me. Its only interacted with me four times so far, three times when I'm half out of body and once in a deep trance. The first two times it was pushing and pulling me to help me get out my body. The first time I was kind of freaked out but the second time it was taking too long and I started shouting at it like, "IS THAT THE EFFING BEST YOU'VE GOT!! TRY HARDER!!". It then quite agressively threw me around the room for a bit and I got the impression it was a bit ticked off at my lack of gratitude.

And I keep commanding it to do stuff when I'm out of body like, "take me to _" and it just ignores me. I dont know why I keep commanding it like some servant. I'm usually very polite and considerate in real life but for some reason I keep  being really rude while out of body. I think maybe it's because theres such a sense of urgency while I'm out because I know I've got a very limited amount of time but it's still very unlike me.

I'm hoping that when I finally get to see it properly I'll be more civil and be able to have a conversation with it and apologise.

What sort of stuff does your guide help you with? Did it take a long time to build up a relationship with them? Did you have any similar teething problems?

Welcome to Dreams! / Close-up pixels
November 19, 2010, 16:56:04
So I was trying to fly into the sky in a LD and encountered my usual barrier at around building hight.

Earlier in the dream I had been spinning around a lot to improve lucidity. While pushing against the barrier I suddenly thought to spin and try to like tunnel through it.

Everything blurred, I got a brief sensation of upwards movement and then suddenly my vision was filled with giant pixel-like things. Almost like if you pressed your face up against a CRT monitor but coser in than you could actually get irl. I felt like I was right up against the thing(not my body, I was just a point of consciousness)

The pixels were'nt rectangular. I find it hard to picture what they actually looked like. The bits I was looking at somehow had three protrusions, almost like birds feet or three pointed stars but with squared ends instead of points.  All the pixel things were intertwined in a geometric, almost fractal pattern, filling my whole vision. When I woke up and tried to make sense of what I'd seen my first thought was interlocked three pointed stars and that drove the actual image from my mind.

It's the weirdest experience I've had. Just thought I'd mention it.

It's starting to freak me out. Apart from one incident as a child I havent experienced anything like this before.

It started earlier today when I was standing in a take-away waiting for some food. I kept thinking someone had come into the shop and was standing behind me but when I looked there was no one there. Happened 4 times in the shop. I would hear what sounded like footsteps and then feel a prescence behind me.

Then for the rest of the day I kept seeing things out the corner of my eye. At first I was thinking it was a bit of fluff hanging from the edge of my glasses or something but I checked and it wasnt. A couple of hours ago it got much worse. It was like every few minutes I would see something just to the side of where I was looking or just above but when I would look there was nothing there. The longer it went on the closer I would get to looking right at it before it would disapear. I started hearing weird noises then as well so I just left the house I was in and its stopped now thankfully.

Does anyone know how to stop this kind of thing happening?

I can only think of a few things that might be causing this. I was thinking it might be a result of all the chakra work I've been doing but I dont really want to stop that.

The other thing I've been thinking is it might be because I asked for a helper the other night when trying to obe. I had my arm out but couldnt manage anything else so asked for a helper. I had never done that before. The next thing I knew it felt like something/someone was pushing my legs up towards me into the foetal position. Then the duvet started moving in strong waves towards me from the edge of the bed as if it was trying to push me off the other side. Is that a normal type of help? Since I've started seeing these things today I've been worrying that maybe this entity has been following me around. If it is I've got no reason to think it means me any harm but it's still freaking me out. I dont mind things being there but I'd rather not see them.

Any thoughts or advice?

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Ask for an obe
September 24, 2010, 11:55:37
Dont know if this qualifies as a technique exactly but it just got me over a three month obe dry patch.

I'm currently reading bruce moen's book 'voyages into the unknown', and in it he mentions that when he first started talking to his I-There he had to use NVC.

So I decided to ask my I-There or subconcious or whatever for an obe.

I visualised myself on my knees with my hands together as if praying with a look of anguished desperation on my face. I then visualised myself floating up out of my sleeping body flying up to the moon and doing a little dance of joy on the moon. I went back and forth between the two for a couple of minutes.

Two nights later I woke up paralysed, got out of my body and went for a fly around outside. Still cant manage to fly fast or high enough to get to the moon but I'm sure I'll get there eventually.

When I woke up again I thought I should let my subconcious or I-There or whatever know that it had interpeted me correctly so I replayed the visualisation of me asking for an obe and at the part where I get to the moon I overlayed a big green tick over everything. To show my gratitude and how much it meant to me I then sent an NVC for 'I love you'. A bit soppy perhaps but it meant a lot to me.

I also feel I should mention something glaringly obvious that I figured out just incase theres someone else out there with the same problem. I've woken up paralysed so many times and only just figured out how to get out of my body when in that state. The problem was that I wasnt keeping my eyes closed! I'd wake up, unable to move a muscle except my eyelids. When I'd close my eyes it would feel like I was able to move again so I'd open my eyes only to find I was still paralysed and in the same position. I used to go back and forth like this until I finally woke up. Now I keep my eyes clamped shut, feel my way out of the building and before long I get my astral sight. To think of how many more obe's I'd have had if I only kept my eyes shut!

I've been thinking I'd like to start doing kundalini yoga.

Does anyone here practice it? Is it the sort of thing I could learn from a book or would I need a teacher? I've got no prevoius yoga experience but have been meditating and doing energy work for a while now. Kundalini yoga is like a combination of the two right?

If learning from a book is do-able any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks, 'blis.

I had been doing energy work pretty much every day for the past four months and it was going great.

I went five days without any though and when I tried doing some yesterday I had loads of blockages.

I know I'll be able to get rid of them again but I was wondering if anything is known about what acually causes blockages.

There were only three details that let me know it was a dream and I'm now worried that my other two, much shorter exits were dreams too.

What happened was I "woke" up to my leg already rising up into the air. I thought, "yes! Here we go", and I rolled out of bed onto the floor. I crawled through the exterior wall of the building and started falling the four floors to the pavement below.

Everything went gray when I went through the wall and I couldnt see anything. So while I was falling I said, "clarity", "full awareness" and then after a soft landing I said, "light". My vision came to me over a couple of seconds and then I could see clearer than I ever have in a lucid dream. It was like being on the street in real life and I could think just like when I'm awake.

So I walked down the street a little bit and then started flying down the road. I started trying to think of things to do and I remembered how much I've always wanted to go to the moon. When I looked up I saw there were two moons; A bright one and a darker one below it and to the left. I'd never gotten out of my bedroom before so at this point I just thought, "Huh, thats wierd. There's two moons in the RTZ".

I decided to go for the bright moon and started to fly towards it. I couldnt get any faster than a few miles an hour. I thought, "It would take weeks to get there at this rate. Oh well, I might as well get back to my body to make sure I remember this."

On the fly back to the bedroom I went over a pair of power cables that had some really cool red, blue and white light spilling out of them in places. The colours were more vivid than anything I've ever seen before. I then realised I didnt need to actually go back to my body so I just concentrated on opening my eyes.

Suddenly I was back in bed in a strange position, with my torso in the air halfway between lying down and sitting up. That kind of freaked me out but not enough to dampen my excitement over my first good projection.

I then derifted into a short confusing dream before actually waking up for real - in a different bed over two hundred miles from the bed my "exit" happened in. If I had dreamed my exit was from the bed I went to sleep in rather than from my bed at my mums house I would probably still think it was a real projection.

For a while I was wondering if I had projected my double all the way to my bed at my mums house because thats where my other two experiences had occurred. But I've checked to see if the power cables are there and they arent and I havent been able to find any reference of other people seeing two moons.

I'm now starting to think both my other "projections" may well have been dreams as well because I didnt get vibrations on those occasions either. I have experienced the vibrations but only on failed attempts.

I'm going to have to do the playing card thing to check every time now. Is there any general way to tell the difference between a projection and a lucid dream? I had never had a lucid dream of a real place before; they were always in one or other of my reccurring dream environments.

Hi, still new to all this and I dont know enough yet to tell if this was a dream or my first exit.

Can you let me know what you think please?

I got woken by a noise at around 04:40 and couldn't get back to sleep. So I put my body to sleep and went on a very long walk in my mind around all the towns and areas I've lived in. Some time later I fell into a non-lucid dream of the last place I had been walking through.

I then either woke up into my still sleeping body or dreamed that I did. I grabbed the edge of the matress with my astral hands(if thats the right term) and tried to pull myself up but it was too much of a struggle. I then managed to get my hands under me in a way that I could do like a push up. When I pushed myself up it was like I could feel myself passing through my real body. I could now see my astral self(if thats the right term) in the full length mirror beside the bed with a big excited grin on my face. At this point my left eyelid popped open a bit and I was suddenly properly awake and lying in the position I had been in just before I had pushed myself up.

I forgot to mention, I'm short sighted. When I had looked at my astral(?) self in the mirror I didnt see with 20/20 vision. It wasn't anyhere near as bad as without my glasses but it wasnt as focused either. Everything looked a lot more real and detailed than any lucid dream I've had in the past though.

So what do you think? I would have just assumed it was an obe but I didnt get any of the vibrations or anything that I've had in failed attemps in the past.

Sorry for such a long post. Thanks for reading it.

Hi, thought I should introduce myself.

I'm on home leave from prison and have been trying to find out about astral projection.

They let me out for a week every month and the last time I was home I found your forums. I'd heard of astal travel before but never realised so many people were doing it. I'm so glad I found this place.

I downloaded 'Astral Dynamics' by Robert Bruce but I was only able to speed read some of the important looking bits before I had to go back to prison (I was a courier of money in a drugs conspiracy btw)

The first time I tried to project went well. I got the vibrations and some wierd senstations but then got too excited to get any further. I woke up later that night and everything was like gray and cloudy and bright(dont know what that was). My eyes then opened and that was the end of it.

Since I went back to prison I havent had any success at all. I dont know if its because my failure to project the first time has damaged my belief that I can, or if its because the first time I was listening to a file made from bwgen (cant take my mp3 player back to prison). I've got my mp3 player for tonight though so fingers crossed.

I've got some specific problems and questions from my attempts in prison but I'll post them seperately and when I've done a bit more reading. I dont get as much time as I'd like to read off the internet while at home so I'll probably need to buy a book off amazon.

Anyway, sorry for the long post, I just wanted to say hi. I reckon I'll probably be around here for a long time.
