Welcome to Metaphysics! / predicted a sickness?
March 16, 2004, 11:40:41
It was saturday morning ten days ago. I just woke up and immediately remembered my dream in which I was saying goodby to my granpa, and my grandma, and then my granpa again. I'm not sure but I also think that I told them to take care. A phonecall actually woke me and I was trying to hear what's that my father is saying. A few seconds later he went into the bedroom and told something to my mother. The next thing I realised is my mother in my room telling me that grandpa had a brain stroke. Later we learned that it was a particulary strong one and today, ten days later, we still don't know what will be with him.
Is it possible that somehow I knew what will happen and was saying a mental goodbye to my grandpa?

Welcome to Dreams! / Dreams about my brother...
December 05, 2003, 11:49:24
In my whole life I had very bad dreams in which I dreamt my with my brother. I will never forget these dreams and I will describe them here in the order I dreamed them. So, here's the first...

We are walking on a small bridge over one smaller part of the river Drava [Osijek, Croatia]. At once my brother falls into the shallow (somwhere two feets deep) and remains underwater. It looks like he is dying down there and I want to jump down and save him but our father holds me and says that I cannot save him. I just look down and wake up before he dies... You cannot even imagine how scared I was. I immediatly stood up and get to his bed to check out is everything OK...

The second dream is somehow different. We're somwhere on the Adriatic sea (I know this because people speak Croatian). We're near an abbandoned building. Somehow my brother was lost and I knew that he was in that building. I went to search him and realised that the building was a great complex that went deeper and deeper. It was in ruinous state so I had to climb deeper and deeper but never found my brother. By the way I heard many voices and saw some rooms but was too afraid to enter one... And in time I woke up...

The third dream is the worst. As far as I know we were in a hotel in Hungary or Checz Republic. My brother was looking thru the window whn suddenly he fell through it (it looked like something draged him down). I looked through the window and saw him falling down (we were very high, at least on 5th floor). We swiftly ran down and found him lying on the floor and shaking in a strange way. Somehow I knew he broke his backbone. And then I woke up...

The fourth dream was very strange and all I can remeber we were in a town on the sea. We were hidden in a room that was hidden behind a shop. My brother got lost in the town and I was searching for him for the whole day just realize that he returned to our room...

The fift dream was actually a repeated second dream. Weird and strange.

Sorry for a long post but I just had to share these experiences with someone :)

Welcome to Astral Chat! / war caused memory loss
March 16, 2004, 18:51:18
Hi, I had a similar experience...[8)]
am from Yugoslavia,Serbia.
I lived in a nice building with friendly people and plenty of friends.
We use to go outside everyday and have plenty of fun... in 1999 when US went to take controll of Kosovo, and Slobodan Milosevic refused to alllow US troops near Kosovo all hell broke loose. US started bombing Serbia and I remeber at night my friends and people I knew fled in the basements at the bottom of the city buildings every time the sirens went out, all the lights were turned off and you could see the sparks in the sky as jets fired... I still remember when the ground shook...
and in the morning they would show on the news the damage that was created, bridges and factories were most hit in my city...

Anywho, the way I see it this kind experience is a part of people's lives and it like everything else becomes forgotten and lost because we live in a moment and not the future or the past because we don't know the outcome of the future and we can't change the past, it's best to live and experience what the life has to offer and not get stuck behind cause of some memory that is a fragment of nothing but an emotion. Bringing back the emotions won't help or make a difference to me. I hope for the best in the moment, to feel its experience so I can move on to release it and make room for new emotions because it makes me feel alive and happy...[8D]

Welcome to Dreams! / LD without picture
November 14, 2003, 13:54:52
quite often I get that wierd 'lucid dreaming w/out really dreaming' thing...

sometimes I just become lucid w/out dreaming, and start hearing the most incredible music!

other times,I have a conversation w/someone 'inside'of me.higher self maybe.

another time,I become lucid w/out dreaming, then realized I had 'dream arms',and tapped my brow chakra.I saw/heard sparks of blue electricity.then a blob of amoebic light appeared before me,which shifted around like smoke, then formed a tunnel.I went through the tunnel and saw a field of stars at the end of it.I shot myself through the tunnel, and ended up in a lucid dream/astral realm.

Just wanted to say hi to a fellow Croat...

Not sure what you ment with "lifetime Astral Projection" tho.
Never heard of that.

Please tell us more of your story. What have you been experiencing, hearing voices? Are you getting mental images of some sort. Day dream is also a form of attack.

Forums Bugs Reports and Questions / why not dreams?
October 04, 2003, 16:58:59
Good idea. The LD forum is diffrent than a dream, we all know that.

We should put a Dream forum under the WILD and LD forum. Rename it to "Dreams and Lucid Dreams" and there would be to sub forums. 1.Dream Forums and 2.LD forums.

My 2 cents

Welcome to Dreams! / can LD's be forgotten?
October 04, 2003, 16:55:42
Yes they can be forgotten.

I always have dreams and im woken up by my alarm clocks. Wile im shutting them off I remember the dream clearly, but when I go to the bathroom after I do not remember the dream at all. So remember to record your LD's.

Welcome to the world of precognition. It's a strange gift or curse depending how you look at it.  I have come to the provisional  conclusion that time must be a dimension as described in superstring theory rather than a vector as newtonian physics describes it.  Time can be traversed much like any other dimension by those than can by will or accident do so.  My precognitions are much like yours; I don't know they are precognitions until the event happens in my normal waking state.  This makes us lousy predictors of future events since we have no way of telling which dreams are precognitions until after the fact. My thinking is that Deja-vous is just a dream remembered that is caused by a waking state trigger.  For most people, this "remembering" is vague and can't be contextulized as to when/where the memory comes from.  For people like me and you, the waking state trigger brings back the whole dream in technicolor with no loss of detail.  We know we dreamt it and we know when we had the dream.  For me the dream is always one that I had recently - usually within a few days or hours of the actual event.  Older dreams tend to kick back less detail for me and tend to be more like the Deja-vous effect.

This phenomenon definitely gets you thinking about the nature of time.  Modern theoretical physics seems to be on the right track with superstring theory positing that there are actualy 10 or more dimensions rather than 3 dimensions.  However, reading on this subject is quite inaccessible to the physics layman.  There are competing theories within the theoretical physics community concerning the string concept as well.

If you are looking for ways to develop this as a skill to be used for prediction, good luck.  Books that I have seen on this topic have not done anything for me, so I can't and won't recommend any.

Hope this was helpful.
