Holy bleepity bleep!  I hadn't tried in a while.  I was able to get to the intense vibrations many times, but I would always get too excited when they hit and would lose them.  I wasn't even trying last night, when I woke up in the wee hours and was feeling real slow vibrations.  I have felt them before usually as a precursor to the intense vibrations.  Since I was so relaxed and half asleep, I concentrated on increasing the vibrations and they came on quickly.  Again I got excited, but was able to calm down and they stayed.  I then felt the vibrations lift right above my body and kinda hover there.  So I tried the rolling out of bed technique.  At first I really thought it was my physical body rolling, and that I would tumble out of bed with a thud.  But I thought what the heck, worse case scenario I hit the floor, wake up my wife, and laugh it off.  But holy bleep, I committed to rolling out and I was out!!  It was dark, and I tried to look at myself but just kind of saw my shape under the blankets.  So being the aggressive guy I am, I didn't want to try walking around my house, I wanted to go for the astral planes.  So I stretched my arms up and flew through the ceiling.  Immediately I got scared, but was able to calm down quickly.  I flew through a couple of pockets that looked like bubbles in water.  Very bizarre.  Then I flew into space and saw stars, but then was concerned that I would get pulled back too quickly.  I remember reading that looking at your hands and/or rubbing them together helps you to stay out.  So I looked at my hands, and my fingers looked kinda rubbery misshapen and were changing their shape.  Then I rubbed them together and it felt very intense.  Then I found myself flying around some boats at a marina.  I saw a bunch of people but they didn't notice me.  Now I felt like I had been out awhile, and started getting nervous on how to get back.  Then I remembered that an easy way to get back is to wiggle a body part.  I wiggled my right foot and was instantly back in my body. Wow!!! I tried it again, and was able to get out even quicker.  This time I thought I would be more cautious and explore my room.  So I hovered near the foot of my bed, but it was very dark and couldn't see much.  Then I heard my wife kinda make a snore sound back next to my body, and I popped back in.  I lay there trying to remember it all, so excited, then fell asleep.

All I can say is wow, wow, wow!!!  I wasn't even trying to and it happened.  It was definitely weird making the commitment to roll out of bed.  I really thought it was my physical body.  I am so blown away.

Hi All-

I am very new to this.  I have always believed I had an astral projection when I was 6 (I am now 41).  I have had lucid dreams and sleep paralysis before.  I have also been diagnosed with narcolepsy, as I can fall asleep at the drop of a pin and almost immediately go into REM sleep.  I do not take drugs for it, but try to use exercise, will power and caffeine to live with it.

Last night I tried astral projection for the first time.  At bedtime I listened to a hypnosis cd for astral projection, and when it was over I fell asleep.  I woke up around 4 am and put some earplugs in and started to listen to the humming in my ears.  I tried to stay focused, but drifted back off to sleep.  Then suddenly I was awakened by the vibrations.  I think I got too excited and they did not last long.

The strange part, that I have not seen other people talk about, was how everything seemed to get bright when the vibrations hit.  I "saw" with my eyes closed a bright pinprick of light in the center, and slightly lesser brightness emanating out from that.  And as the vibrations stopped, a feeling of warmth, calmness and lightness swept over me.  I thought maybe I was out, but I didn't "see" anything other than brightness.  And a couple of minutes later that warm feeling dissipated.

So my question is, is the brightness normal with the vibrations?

This has happened to me before, but I did not know what it was at the time and had no idea it was associated with astral projection.  (Honestly at that time I thought the "Universe" was trying to send me a message about what I was thinking about, and welcomed the vibrations, light and warmth as they lasted about 5 minutes)

Thanks!
