To all music loving members of Astral Pulse, please go to this site,

http://www.zippohottour.com/main.aspx ................................................................................................................................and vote "HOT" for your favorite band. I would HOWEVER like, very much like you to vote "HOT" for the band GRAY HAVEN. Doing this requires no downloads or purchases of any sort, just go there, sign up, get your freebies and vote for the Rock Band = GRAY HAVEN. Vote..."HOT".

Thank you for helping me on this, an unbiased and shameless attempt to affect the lives of four starving, very talented young artists. Rock On!!! Yeahhh!!! LOL!!!

P.S.~ Matt Boehm (lead singer) is my brother-in-law. Talented and down-to-earth guy.

Grey Haven AustinTX

Band Name: Grey Haven Bio: GREY HAVEN formed in 2000, originally going under the name "Alchemy" as a three-piece power trio consisting of Matt Boehm, Kevin Chapman, and Scott Schneider. "Alchemy" played countless shows in Austin, TX for over a year until they found out that a band in Pennsylvania had trademarked the name. Around the same time, they met Trey Ybarbo and decided to become a four piece to enhance their live sound and creativity. Based on the direction the band was headed they decided it was in their best interest to change the name to "Grey Haven", a medium between darkness and light. Their music, which has formulated into an explosive brand of hard rock with soulful lyrics, is reminiscent of the days when rock was truly an art form.

I fully support this, but as an experiment, it would be interesting to post this on the christian forum and sit back for the reaction:
Sometimes shocking, sometimes enlightening, always entertaining.

Hmmm... okay.  Well instead of just 'only' giving me the "official" answer, how about some personal answers from some Rosicrucians visiting here or that are members?  I am reading the literature.  But a philosophy or spirituality is truly alive in the viewpoints and expressions of it's practioners/followers.  So in from your personal viewpoint, how would you go about answering these questions?  Any takers...?

I have read a book (maybe Robert Bruce's, can't remember exactly) and the author had a blind friend who was able to project.  When interviewed about his experiences he says that he can see in the astral, but not third dimensionally.  He can see pictures hanging on a wall or a desk and he would see them both with the same depth perception.

its the name of the planet where that french  guy was apprently abducted and taken to by  the spiritually advanced alien hermafrodites who live there.
They  tell him about the nature of the cosmos, the past, present and future  of  Earth,  other alien civilisations,  jesus, morality etc....

i really enjoyed the book because it agreed with what id see as an evolved society,  but  im a bit skeptical about weather or not it actually happened, i like to beleive so though.
you should read the book  at  http://www.thiaoouba.com  and see for yourself.
youll also  get to see  pictures of the groovy Dr Tom Chalko- if you get the chance read his book "the freedom of choice" too.
both books  are good  reads, even if they  challenge any held religious beleif.

Just a couple shows that are already on..

There's a show that comes on a local channel called 'The Unexplained' or something simple like that that covers a lot of good topics very well IMO. I'll try to give more info the next time it comes on, since I think I remember them giving a site and email address, etc., at the end. I've only seen it a couple times and I'm led to believe by the guide on my digital cable that it comes on once every 1 or 2 weeks on Friday evening. Of the episodes I saw, one was on the Pyramids and the Sphinx and all the mysteries surrounding them, and the other was on the Chupacabra and UFOs in general among other things.

Then of course you have Crossing Over with John Edward on Sci-Fi which is genuine enough for me.. Those are the only two I can think of right off. bwhahaahahaaaaaaasdfdsasdf

Ghostrider,

While Jesus or "Yeshua" was a very common Jewish name, there is no historical supporting evidence that the Jesus of which we speak ever existed at all--in any form.

Now, is there a spiritual master that resides on another plane that sometimes speaks to humans by the name of Yeshua or Jesus?  Can spiritual masters incarnate for a period of time?  I am inclined to think so, but there is no historical supporting evidence that this entity ever had a physical incarnation and biography that matches the details found in the Bible.  The Bible and a few related documents are all we have.

As a spiritual master, however, this entity could have been able to manifest in any way that it chose. So perhaps it manifested itself to some and not all.  Perhaps this master still does...and perhaps many other masters do as well.  This is what I am pondering at the moment.

Peace,
Beth

For avatars you can't use web urls.  What you need to do is save that picture onto your harddrive and then in your profile click the add avatar link and then a new window will pop up where you need to click the browse button and find the file on your computer.  I am hoping you can figure out what to do after you find the file.  But the image MUST not be on on your computer. To add it as an avatar.  As I recall it even says in the avatar upload screen that web urls can't be used.

Funny you should post this. I just made a comment in the discussion on satanists about this being the belief of the Jehova's Witnesses.
Just another twist on bible interpretations.

hi,
im no expert-but from what I can tell-to OBE is to be in real time-in the physical world-but out of your body-Astral Projection is different only by the level (for lack of a better word) of where you go-not in "real time", maybe another dimension-backwards or forwards in time-like in a lucid dream?!  Maybe more encompassing than what I just stated-and as for a near death experiance-from what I understand many are similar to both OBEs and APs-does this help?

When having what I think is an OBE in real time-things are the same as the actually are-I am aware of differences in the way I feel and how I move-its a different sensation/perception-

Ghostrider,

[:D][:D][:D]

This makes me very happy!!  Yes, the earliest forms of Christianity were VERY different from what we have today.  I have tried to make some posts that compare other ways of thinking today with the message that was being spread nearly 2,000 years ago, e.g., lucid dreaming, OBE, and contact with the spiritual realms.

The Gospel of Mary (a hugh chunk of which is still missing) directly addresses what appear to be different dimensions, or realms, through which one must pass to reach enlightenment--or Christhood.  Early Christianity was a VERY SPIRITUAL practice that was based upon a very different philosophical/theological system than the Church ultimately adopted.

The Gospel of Philip tells of how one must achieve "resurrection" BEFORE one dies, and the Gospel of Thomas discusses what I think is the astral-self, as well as what we would consider "mind" or "consciousness" as that which permeates the entire universe, plus so much more!!

I do not watch a lot of TV, but if you are aware in advance when some of these shows come on, I would really like to know about it!  Would you mind posting it here in this thread if you think of it????

Keep your eyes and ears open--things are definately changing!!![:D]

Peace,
Beth

I agree with you Ghost. I think one reason we're overweight is that, for the most part, Americans don't have physically demanding jobs and don't eat correctly.

But we often overlook the physical aspect because we place other things above it on our priority lists... Spiritual development, a nice car, a nice house, family, and so on. If we want to change that I think we need to talk about how a strong physical self is conducive to spiritual and mental development. Most people would agree that wasting your mind on excessive drugs or television isn't helpful to spiritual development. You just have to explain that wasting your body on idleness and junk food is exactly the same thing.

Ghostrider,

John Shelby Spong has written some great books!  I have read most of them. Rescuing the Bible from Fundamentalism was the first one I read.  This was quite a few years ago.  His search for a deeper/clearer meaning in scripture made a great impression on me, and I am sure has helped me get where I am today.

All of them provide invaluable insight on scripture.  I will put that new one on my "to read" list.  Thanks for bringing him up!!

Peace,
Beth[:)]

That is interesting subject matter, Ghost Rider. Can you recommend a book or a website with additional information on these methods?

Hi GhostRider,

You know, this topic has appeared a number of times. Some people are adamant that one is better than the other. Everyone seems to have a different opinion so getting a consensus will be difficult. You can use the search engine and find some of the previous topics.

People also have talked about other binaural cds as well. For example, Awakened Minds and Brain Sync come to mind. Some people swear by BrainWave Generator. The Awakened Minds and Brain Sync cds  also cost less that Hemi or Holo Sync, which have a whole programmed series to buy.

So bottom line, I'd start out by doing a search and reading over some previous posts. You'll see a whole range of opinion.

Very best,

The "industry standard" sources in the field are the following:

Books: (to be read in this order)
R. Bruce: Astral Dynamics
R. Monroe: "Journeys out of the body"
R. Monroe: "Far Journeys"
R. Monroe: "Ultimate Journey"

Most of the stuff you've got I haven't even heard of.

CDs:
Holosync: you've got that.
Hemi-Sync: Wave 1 (you might not need that if you have well established relaxation / trance technique)
Hemi-Sync: Wave 2-7 (if you've got money. optional)

Psychic Defense is not generally recommended unless you have reasons to believe you are experiencing psychic attacts / attacks by non-physical entities.
