Greetings fellow members,
First of all I'm grateful to this forum and members, for this was the place I first learned about such a phenomenon. I've read a bit before stating to try out. So far I've read Astral dynamics, Frank's posts pdf (not fully yet) and I check posts here regularly.
I'm following Frank's method of "shifting consciousness upwards" , and following nothing else. No breathing technique or anything. I have used Robert Monroe's CDs for relaxation before, and I find that by concentrating on your forehead as Frank describes, you can do the relaxation part quite easily and quickly. Now my question - what happens to your eyes when you are trying to "shift consciousness upwards"? Are they looking straight? or they too are directed upwards? Are they squint? I have an urge to open my eyes and make sure they aren't looking upwards or they aren't squint because as I understand it, you are supposed to focus consciousness upwards and do nothing with eyes.
I have tried the method for a few days now, and I do get swinging sensations every time within a minute, like my body is rotating very fast. When it's over, I feel my body's position and posture has changed into an awkward one, while actually it has not moved at all I know. Last night I heard some slow music after those sensations.
I feel my progress is very slow. Any recommendations regarding Frank's methods? Please tell me about 'focusing of eyes" because I do think about it a lot.
Thanks in advance, and good luck to all members.
