Last night was an interesting night for me. I went to bed rather late as I was studying for a test, probably around 1 o'clock. When I started feeling a mix between buzzing and vibrations. I remember thinking to myself I don't want to try to astral project tonight I just wanted to sleep, but I remained conscious, and I think I felt my astral body coming out. But then, something strange happened, and Its kind of hard to explain. I felt like I was floating, but I also was aware of my body. After focusing on my body this sensation faded.
Now Im not sure if I experienced a vivid lucid dream or actually astral projected.
So, my question is when some of you guys is when you astral project can you without a doubt distinguish it from a dream?
Does it literally feel like real life to the point it feels like your sleep walking?

You know those movies where people have been gone for days or months in some different reality, but when they come to earth it has only been like 20 minutes or so. Is that what happens in the Astral? Or is it when 10 minutes elapses on earth it is the equivalent of 10 minutes on astral plane.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Was I close?
January 11, 2012, 20:38:06
Last night, I think I came the closest to astral projecting, but maybe I didn't, anyway here is what happened. I went through the pre-astral signs such as vibrations sleep parlysis, etc., and then after about thirty minutes, I felt as though my astral body, I think, was coming out from my body from the top of my head. The sensation went from my chest down to my legs, but my feet did not have the same sensation. Anyways, I noticed this and tried to shift my consciousness to the astral body, but after that everything stopped and i was back at square one.

My question is when your astral body is coming out your body, if this actually was my astral body, do you have to shift consciousness or is that something that occurs by itself?

Ok so it was around 12:00 am when I went to sleep, and right before I went to sleep I said to myself. "Ok, tonight is the light I will figure out if astral projection is real or not even if it takes me he whole night to do." So, I went to bed, and just laid there looking at the darkness in front of me. I wasnt thinking of anything and just continued to lay there when my eyes started flickering, and I kept seeing a spiral white light in the darkness behind m eye lids after this subsided, my whole body began to buzz not vibrate, andI could hear it. After the buzzing ceased is when I was truly amazed. I dont know how to describe this, but It felt like my arm was slightly floating, but my arm was laying on he bed. Once I thought about what was happening is when my "astral arm" which I presume it was came back, and my arm jerked.

Now, My question is to fully separate from your body do you just ignore everything that is occurring, and just wait it out, or do you try to separate the rest of your body through a exit technique? Please Respond

So I want to know how real do the etheric/astal projections feel?
#6
Hi I have tried astral projection for some time, yet I am making no progress. I just find myself staring into the back of my eyelids forever with nothing happening. Any suggestions or techniques to help me astral project? Also how real are the projections? Does it feel as real as being in the physical body.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Phasing
February 22, 2011, 16:18:56
I have read a lot about phasing, and since I haven't had much success these last couple of weeks, Ive decided to try it. However, my question is does phasing induce vibrations, and also are you out of your body and can look back at your body when you phase or is it just a strong lucid dream.

I still have yet to project, but I want to know what exactly is etheric projection. I have heard the term used, but dont know its difference from astral projection. Also would want to know more about spirit guides. Does your spirit guide come in an image you want it to? For instance every time I think of a spirit guide, I think of a human, but can you have like an animal or something like this....

Fixed your image tag :)  Hmmm... picture doesn't wanna load ~Xanth

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Astral eyes?
February 08, 2011, 16:17:18
I experienced something different last night when I was trying to astral project. With my eyes closed, it felt a sensation of my eyes continually opening, and I was also feeling vibrations in my leg. Were the sensations my actual astral eyes opening?

I am new to this forum and have always been extremely skeptical of other physic abilities like telekinesis, but experiencing the vibration state of astral projection has made me a believer although I have yet to actually project. anyway I was wondering does sleeping without covers increase your chances of separating? Because I have tried sleeping under covers and I am i lot less successful than when I am sleeping without covers (get more violent vibrations without covers). Hope someone responds!

Thanks

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Am i close?
February 06, 2011, 16:05:32
Alright so I have only been practicing astral projection for about four days and i skeptical at first, but after I reached the vibrational state on my first time, I was like OMG! But, I've noticed I only get vibrations no my feet and sometimes my whole leg starts shaking violently, but my torso and head never shake. I also never hear the roaring noises that people talk about. Can someone help me out?
