Ello, I'm jack young, aka paralizedeyes, as is plain to see.

So lets see, anything you need to know:

I'm a bassist and a singer.
I've always a deep intrest in crytids, demons, paranormal and whatnot.
I'm a Buddhist
I'm a punk (sex pistols style, not this bovine excrement they come out with nowadays.)
I'm a writer.
I'm 16.
I like to think I'm mature, don't cloud my mind with useless excrement too often, apart from the occassional intoxicant.
I adore the halo series.
Major fan of zombies.
I'm not what you would call cuddly, but I'm friendly as long as you keep an open mind. Don't be arrogant or ignorant around me.
I'm interested in discovering my astral form, have no clue how.
Skateboarded for 8 years, surfed for 12, track for 3, and free-running for 1.

If there is anything you wanna know, i'm open to questions, otherwise, I'd like this thread just to talk and laugh. Sounded corny as hell.
Cheers!

So today while on my tumblr, I recieved a message saying this:

"My goal is to tinkle people off. ticked people get excrement done."
Not really a Buddhist statement. Buddha clearly states that anger and agression are emotions that should be banned from your mind.

"In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves."

To which I replied:

Buddha and Dogen also both state to act with compassion. Anger, hate, disgust, if used correctly, is a compassionate act.

Plus Buddhism, as a philosophy and lifestyle, isn't suited to completely erase any emotion, sensation, and thought. It's aimmed at experiencing it.

And on a more personal note, I'd like to say that I'm not practicing for the "truth" or "enlightenment". You practice for the practice.

What makes a Buddhist a true Buddhist

Is it the hours he puts into meditation?

Any fool can do Zazen for a bit.

Is it the quality of her robes?

Anyone can learn sewing.

Is it her knowledge of the Dharma?

If you have any knowledge of the Dharma, you have no knowledge of the Dharma.

A Buddhist acts compassionately,

Through kindness and vileness.

He works diligantly,

Savoring the life he has.

She is sincere

Keep to your Dharma.

I'm just curious as to how this community would view this. If you wanna reply, sweet. If not, oh well.

Reading on this forum, it's intriguing me more and more. I'm a Buddhist and I've been meditating for almost a year now, so I'd say I'm nicely experienced with my root and sacral. I've done the third eye meditation a few times, but it's never done much for me except make my fingers sore.

Is there anyway I can practice openning or utilizing my third eye just sitting here, typing this. Anywhere. Eatting dinner, running, reading, anytime anywhere. I want to practice this more. If anyone has advice, feel free to spit it at me.

Thanks in advance,

Oi, I'm new to this sight (and the topic in general.)
Lately I've become anxious and paranoid in the middle of the night after I've meditated in the dark. Which is not recommended, but i'm curious and stubborn, so what the hell, I did it anyway. I haven't slept for longer than 4 hours at a time in i dont know how long.

so, if this seems like spam or is just pointless, I apologize, but I've read this forum here and there. I was wondering if anyone knew anything or could point me in any direction so I can figure this out.

Thanks, Jack Young
