Ive astral projected in the afternoon and that im 100 percent sure is an astral projection. but I get very confused when I astral project in the early morning after waking

What I can confirm is that I do wake up at 5am and I begin my prep to stay awake and project.
What I expierience next is this floatiness then extreme vibrations then the pull of gravity as I struggle my way out of my body.
The problem is that im convinced that im simply dreaming and im having a simple dream of myself astral projecting. Its like either I astral project or I fail and fall adleep and dream I astral project . Now I cant tell whether I suceed or not.

Does anyone else have this unusual problem

So is it like me

you spend an hour or so lying doing nothing and nothing happens and you get bored and decide to do something else instead?

how often do people fail? Ive had 4 successful AP attempts but ive had around about 100 attempts so I think that isnt too bad a rate

Just a thought but maybe a separate subforums which is dedicated to new astral projecters and those seeking help for the first time as oppose to everyone cramming it in this general forum?

You never know , Astral projection might become the "in" thing with young people and your going to get alot of "how to astral?" "was this an obe!?" "help please cant OBE!"
"ZOMG I DID IT!" new threads.

Ive never tried beats , ive done OBE 4 times  without it . But sometimes if it gets noisy Im thinking beats would be a good idea.

How loud should I have it ? Is it better really quiet or very loud

And do people actually have an OBE whilst its still playing? its a 30 min track , should I put it on repeat?

Is it same with everyone but when you do get it , it really does feel like somebody clamping you down and you can even feel its hands and grasp

How long in minutes before you reach vibration stage ?

Monks "the chinese lookin ones" spend 10-12 hours of their day meditating. Surely they are astral projecting or atleast some have gone from deep meditation into a lucid state or into astral by accident.

Makes me think that on the outside..they look all deep and spritual with their meditation but actually they are all off partying in the astral world.

Because also , like most of us here in the western world got a 9-5 job + stress + everyday activities to fit AP around -  Ive managed to astral project , surely monks with their stress free lives and tons of time do it all the time.

Do they astral project and attain levels above us?

What do people think?

Ive only had one obe. And it took 2 hours , I got the vibrations and did a partial separation. Since then ive tried everyday and failed and it seems like its my insomnia or inability to sleep.

I normally suffer from insomnia. It takes me about 1-2 hours in bed to get to sleep.

Question I have. I understand that OBE might possibly be "body asleep , mind awake". So does this mean that to have an OBE ..you would have had the potential to sleep in that given period "body asleep , mind asleep".

Because when i fail an OBE , i think that even if i had simply decided to sleep in that given period , I probably would have failed a simple "sleep" let alone an "obe".

I know I need to try more in the morning.

Was about 1.30 pm and im having an afternoon nap. Had about an hour of relaxation and no avail cos of noises and figiting . then i relaxed again and omg the vibrations hit me really fast. And this wasnt just pins and needles (which is probably what ive felt every failed attempt ). THis was intense . I kinda paniced a bit but remember not to be scared so i whispered it to myself. I began trying to separate and managed to do something.

Everything was labored as if gravity had increased. i cant really explain the expierience in detail because it was over in 20 seconds , but things i remember ... able to feel the texture of my chair infront and above me when i stuck my hands out. I remember alot to do with looking at my feet. I remember trying to move my hand but I moved my physical hand so i started separation with the feet.

I did try the rope technique and this got me levitating to the ceiling but i collasped bsck into my body.

Waking up didnt feel like waking up from a dream. all just felt like a transition.

My vision was strange. I can only describe it as looking through a window with light reflecting from it so you have almost two images.

This expierience was really surreal. I was conscious all the way through it. sorry if this reads as a rush. im just so excited ive got to jot this all down somewhere!

I only came across AP about a week ago . Im quite a spiritual guy and ive always been facinated with dreams , lucid dreams and such. I even keep a dream diary.

So having done some research on AP , id thought id try it  out. However ive got some really burning questions to ask... and wondering if anyone can enlighten me.

Firstly , I share bed with a partner and theres a main road outside. I try to relax , keep my mind empty and I actually feel the vibrations at an early stage. But then my partner rolls and breaths heavily , and sometimes a truck roars past. I hear that and I feel ike its distracted me. The vibrations are still there tho.

I want to ask...even though I hear all these distractions and the odd elbow in the arm ,should I simply continue trying to get the vibrations or is it no use trying to get a OBE in these circumstances.

Secondly im a bit of an insomniac. Im always last to fall asleep , and my mind can run wild at night as i stay awake. Is it a disadvantage or advantage to be an imsoniac. Sometimes whilst lying for an hour trying to feel the vibrations (obviously by relaxing and letting them come to you , being passive etc ) , im thinking...well even if my body is suppose to go to sleep and the mind stay awake , neither would go to sleep even in normal circumstances after an hour.

By being an insomniac does this mean i might have to wait 2-3 hours!!

Thirdly , ive not got to a stage where theres large vibrations and large sounds , but is it a likelyhood for people to try to move their "astral" arm or roll out , and find that they just physically do it.
