Something, in my eyes, very cool happened today while I was taking a nap. I thought I'd post this in the OBE experiences - thread, since it bears some resemblance to PeacefulWarrior's "I had it!" - post.
I was listenting to a paraliminal, with the intent to take a short nap, because I was tired; I went through a whole series of little dreams and/or visions, bordering on WILDs; most of them gave me a sort of "seen that before, been there before, did that before, but had forgotten it" (deja vu?) kind of experience. What was most remarkable was a dream where I was led into a kind of pavillon or empty room with lots of statues near the walls. I got the distinct impression that I had been there before, and that I had been using this exact room to talk philosophy with friends.
I lost my "vision" and regained waking consciousness, but the most amazing thing occured: my body was at total PEACE. I don't know how to describe it; my body was totally relaxed, totally still, and at peace. Normally there's some little vibrations here or there, or some heat or pressure, but at this moment there was nothing! wow ... this had only happened to me once before, also during a nap. It's like still being in my body, but somehow a little disconnected from it.
I'm still very much amazed by that brief moment.

COOL! :)

Welcome to Dreams! / first long lucid dream
October 27, 2002, 23:58:26
haha it was cool :)

FYI, here in Austria we set back our clocks 1 hour on Sunday 3am to 2am because of "winter-time" (as we like to call it here) .. I dunno I think you people call it winter savings time.
Anyway I forgot to reset the time on my alarm clock. So today in the morning, my alarm went and I got up, believeing it to be 6am. I got up, got showered and dressed. Then I looked at the time on my mobile, and it said 5:30 am. Now I was ticked! I remembered not setting the correct time on my alarm clock, and decided to sleep until 7am to catch up a little.
So during that time I had a very very long dream, involving my bus drive to university, a friends apartment, and me suddenly having a dog, and forgetting him on the bus and so on (the usual newbie university student's dreams :D ) However, some time during the dream, I suddenly knew that I was dreaming! I found myself in the kitchen of my home, with my family, and tried to convoince them that I was dreaming. They didn't believe me, and I started to doubt it, too. I didn't have any real "powers"; I couldn't change the scenario (closed and opened the kitchen door with the intent of seeing something else than the hallway with the mirror; BTW interesting reflection in the mirror).
Suddenly a friend of mine comes along, and shows me a digital watch - he says it changes time constantly! So I start laughin "yes yes I'm really in a dream" and looked at the watch, looked away, then looked again: different time, and some unusual symbols! haha !
I started wondering if anything should happen, and nothing did. I got bored after a while, and then told my parents: I want to wake up now, so I'm going to sit down and fall asleep" They said "sure, ok, whatever you want" and I sat down and started sleeping. I didn't wake up immediatley, but I didn't have to be in that awfully boring scenario anymore and drifted into blissful unconsciousness.

In retrospect I could say it was a semi-lucid dream, but I can tell you it sure beats waking up in your bed in the darkness and finding that your bed-light doesn't work and being to afraid to get up and look around :)

What a morning!

So I'd say that interrupted sleep technique really works for me, I gotta continue doing that. yee-haw

Welcome to Dreams! / wohoo nearly had a WILD
May 09, 2002, 13:04:51
Hehe took an afternoon nap today while listening to some hemi-sync H+ tape, anyway I wanted to fall asleep and dream, and after a while I saw, right in front of my eyes, not my mind, a reflection of myelf in a mirror or window, and I had my mouth open and was showing my teeth, when I noticed that my lower row of teeth (?) was sort of changing constantly (hard to explain) I realized it was the onset of a WILD and (or course http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile_big.gif" border=0>) got terribly excited and lost it. Hot diggeddy!! here I come LOL

Hmm tonight I had a weird experience: I woke up in the middle of the night, and tried to get back to sleep, and when I started to see dream images come up, I thought "maybe I can become lucid!" but nothing came of it ... after a while I noticed more dream images come up in my head and suddenyl I thought "hey, I AM dreaming!" (hehe actually I even thought that in english http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile_big.gif" border=0>)
Well suddenly I get a damn cool fit of the vibrations (felt like I was becoming a human vibrator for a few seconds) and somehow I really expected to end up in a lucid dream afterwards, but after a few seconds the vibrations stopped, and I sat up and checked if I was dreaming (well the lightswitch worked and the clock stayed at 1:30 am after checking 4 or 5 times) ... so I went back to sleep.
It's just funny because I don't really see how the vibrations related to my wish to have a lucid dream ... any thoughts on that?
thanks

You must be talking about Alex Grey.

His homepage is //www.alexgrey.com

Although for some reason the link won't work for me now (probably a temporary thing).

I agree, his artwork is awesome[8D]

thats great, Xehupatl!

im just a starting member, but i think one thing that i can do is meditate.  in my opinion, i would try to make it so you can get that feeling for a longer time, and be able to do it quickly.  i have been doing this for a month and i can do it in half a minute. then, if you're planning to do other energy work, you can get it done.  but i'm just a starting member, so donn't take this too seriously.

Hello. Your web-page looks just fine. I am very happy that there is someone who attunes people for free. I have first degree in the Usui Reiki, if I could give attunements I would also give them for free, since this knowledge should be available for everyone. What you are doing is great, you should be proud of yourself.

The link to that e-book about dental health is very much appreciated. I had tried to find that book and failed because it is out of print.

I liked the rest of your web site, too.

Welcome to Energy Body and The Chakras / aura + love
September 14, 2002, 15:20:54
I cannot see auras but I heard that doing something like that may be hard because it takes training to see the colors perfectly and that your state affects what you see.

I haven't read the book, though i think that rb is talking about naturally running water. not artificially like hoses or city water pipes.
I think he means a natural stream or something like that.

Sounds like it would be cool to try, but juuuust a tad too expensive for me at this point.
I'm currently using some brainwave-stimulation/meditation CDs from //www.meditatedeeper.com and they seem to work pretty well.

Go to the site. Then close it off, and a new window will come up where your can fill out your details and have a free demo tape sent to you.
However they have an entirely different approach/purpose than the ones you were pointing out.

Welcome to Dreams! / Robert Moss - books
May 04, 2002, 21:39:42
I've read Dreamgates, which is a very, very good book.  Moss differs in many points from Bruce, but they're like two different vantage points of the same thing.  Moss is more about Shamanism, which includes OBE stuff.  Bruce's book tends to get very technical, but as a result, is more believable... until you start doing the things Moss suggests.  Moss is more into Shamanism and dreaming than OBE stuff, and has some really interesting things to say.

Oh Hun

((((((((((((((((((((((((( BIG HUGS )))))))))))))))))))))))))

I know how scared you must have been as I've been there myself.....And whats worse is that you know that its irrational!!! but at the time the fear is sooo real and intense that theres nothing you can do about it..

I myself have this fear but only when it happens from a lucid dream..and it is so frustrating as I have had positive experiences of OBEs in the past!!

I find that if I start to OBE from a consious state that I have more control over my thoughts..but when I am in a lucid dream I dont seem to have that control and it all feels like the oncoming of a nightmare and I have to force myself to wake up and then usualy as soon as I close my eyes again, I'm straight back in it and the same thing happens again!

Yes the fear is irrational and it is the fear itself thats turns the experience into something horrific..and thats what has to be changed..( yeah right !) like its that easy!!!.....

I myself am trying to be more positive and to try to change the way I feel about it... it takes courage and perseverence to overcome this stage and I know that one day during one of these lucid dream states I will face my fears and hopefully dispell it for good!!

I have tried to project during the day but it never happens when I actually try!!! It seems to only occur when IT wants too!!!... I havent had a concious OBE for about a year now and it is bugging me!! as it only seems to start now during these blasted lucid dreams!!

I have read alot of things and seen alot of posts, here and at other sites to believe that nothing can or should harm you during these states and that basicaly anything that seems bad or scary is of your own doing through your own fears..

What I have started to do is surround myself in a protective light when I go to bed now and say an affirmation to myself that I am safe, I am protected..so that it is in my subconcious mind when I sleep.....so if I experience any eerie lucid dreaming I will remember this and hopefully be able to deal with the fear with more courage, rather than run away!!!!

I wish that it would happen more on a consious level like it has done before as I can handle that much better!!!.... But I guess this is a obstacle  that I must overcome before I can move on... and if others can do it without fear then so can you and I....

It sounds to me that you had had the signs all day that this was going to happen.....at least you know your on the right track and that you can do this! becoming more aware or these signs may help you prepare for what might occur again,

I dont know if anything I've said hs helped!!!.... but you are not alone! and I'm sure there are many others out there that have experienced similar to yourself.

Blessed Be     (((((( More  Hugs )))))))

I know what you are talking about but I have not used it to project. Though when it does happen those jittery energies do make me feel somewhat disconnected from my physical body. I am not sure if you could use this as a controled way to project but if it does happen again try and see if it works for you. If it happens to me and I have time I will try and experiment.

I have never heard any loud noises while leaving my body. The only thing that I have heard is a high pitched buzzing or ringing. Some people do hear noises though. There are some CDs that are suppose to help you project by playing certain tones and music. I have never tried this though so I cannot recommend anything on this subject.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / AP vs. LD
April 20, 2002, 01:29:04
My friend at work who projects frequently said that he and the person who taught him to project used to meet up in his dreams all the time.   Afterwards when awake they would discuss what was going on.  To my friend it was a dream and not a projection.

Sometimes when I am trying to project I will get strong sexual feelings. I have read that others get these feelings as well so it seems to be something that is kind of common, just depends on you.

You should not be afraid of projecting. There is nothing to be afraid of. Nothing can hurt you but your own fears. You should work on not being afraid as if you do project and are afraid then you will find yourself in a scary environment. Your emotions shape your situation in the Astral. I use to be afraid when I first got out because it was such a different feeling. I faced those fears and realized that projecting is really an incredible thing. Now when I project I find the feeling so awesome and uplifting.

Welcome to Psychic and Paranormal! / Negativity!
April 15, 2002, 09:50:26
Oh yeah I forgot to mention this .. maybe it helps:

- my thoughts are not suicidal (thank god)

- I have had only 1 nightmare in the last couple of months, and my dreams are on average pretty .. average (not too good, not too bad).

- NO I DO NOT watch buffy or charmed!!

- to clear things up, it's not just the past couple of days ... I've just noticed then, it's been like that for years (maybe I'm just a pessimist?)

- another example: when I got interested in astral projection and lucid dreams (haven't had either one yet ) the first time I felt something REMOTELY like vibrations I got all excited and thought about the worst kinds of auditory hallicunations I could make out and the biggest, baddest, meanest, blackest monsters that would lie in wait for me on the "other side"!! Talk about negative conditioning!
Also just a couple of days ago I spent the whole day relity-checking in earnest and I awoke that night from the lights of a car passing by (I live in the country and there's maybe 3 car lights per night coming by) and I thought "damn, maybe this is a lucid dream!" and I got seriously afraid, and after reality-checking and making sure it wasn't a dream, I peacefully went back to sleep.

- phew ... maybe I can give you more

- maybe it's just normal, I mean fear of the unexpected or something, but hey, please give me your comments! thanks!
