Hello all! I've been a member for awhile but I did more looking around than any posting. I've been trying to have an experience for over a year or two. I used to try every single night with a few minor things that happened (vibrations when meditating, sleep paralysis, some weird visuals, and strange dreams) but nothing of the sort of what just happened a few hours ago. If you would like to read on, I would much appreciate it for any insight you might have of what may happened? Thanks in advance (:

I was not even trying to have an OOB or anything, it didn't even cross my mind. But I took a nap around 4 and slipped right into a very vivid, not entirely lucid dream. I walked out of my bedroom to the main room which was very dark and I remember feeling very...odd. Not like myself. It all felt very real but I could just feel something was weird. My husband was laying in the dark room on the couch with some people who I did not know. They all acted like very good friends who had known each other for a long time. I remember falling down a lot and I was struggling to move around. I thought I was awake in the dream so I just decided forget it, and walked back into the room to go back to bed. Although this time I had to walk up a stair case to get there which was not there before. When I walked in, my bed was moved and there were strange posters on the wall that aren't there actually. My alarm clock read 3:48 (which does not make sense as it was after 4 that I fell asleep).

I laid back down and I could feel myself "awake" (not sure if I was actually awake at this point) and I felt the sleep paralysis all over my body so I decided it would be a good time to get out of body. In a split second I had this crazy "rushing" feeling come over me and I heard this incredible popping noise. I told myself not to panic (I felt this crazy sense of...giddiness actually so I guess I wasn't really scared at all. I felt myself floating out above my body. It was hard to see a little bit but I commanded myself to turn around on my stomach so I could see my room below me and low and behold, I saw my floor! I remember at that point I started to feel me going back to my body but I wasn't ready for it to end so I ordered myself outside. I saw the grass outside my window and I was kinda falling to the ground and at that point I told myself "I really have to master this flying thing" and right before I hit the ground I shot back up. After a little struggle to keep my body in motion and not just hover there awkwardly lol, I told myself "take me to france!" (the first thing I thought of I guess, I'm not sure) and away I went! Now I'm not sure where I went after that, I don't think I ever made it ha but it was really pretty along the way.

I don't remember but something had to have happened where I got sucked back to my body pretty quickly cuz that time I did actually wake up (exhausted at that, I never got to take my nap lol) and immediately tried to write down what happened. I also looked at the clock when I woke up and it was only 4:50. It was pretty exciting nonetheless.

Anyway, just thought I'd share and see if anyone had any thoughts on it (: sorry it was so long xD

Edit note: I don't get to the status of sleep paralysis very often, maybe once every six months or so it's very interesting to me how that happens. It only happens when I'm having weird sleep issues such as staying up all night and going to bed at not so normal times or like today I only got maybe 3 hours of sleep last night, drank an energy drink, then tried to take a nap because I was still very tired. I wonder why messing up my normal sleeping patterns induce the paralysis. Just an after thought.
