Many years ago when I was married to my first wife, I went to be before her like always because I had to get up for work the next morning.  I was laying in bed and suddenly I got up, went into the living room where my wife was watching TV.  I knelt in front of her chair and rested my head in her lap as she was crocheting or something. I found it strange that she didn't even acknowledge me. I stayed there for a few minutes then went back to bed. The reason she didn't acknowledge me is because I was still in bed!  What I thought was real was actually an OBE.  To this day I'm amazed at what took place that night. It was as real as real gets. Vivid, detailed and not dream-like at all.

Recently somebody on another forum put up a link to a PDF document that was course on OBE.  I had always been interest in the subject so I began reading the first section.  I thought, okay, I can do this.

After getting the first method somewhat memorized, one night I went to bed and made a conscious effort to be "aware" of myself.  I as I felt myself drifting deeper and deeper I started to try to separate.  At one point I thought I was going to just nod off because I was past that point but as my regular body just "gave up" and fell asleep, my inner body suddenly "woke up"!  It was very much like watching TV while your'e very tired and eventually you give up trying to stay awake and nod off. As I went through that phase, I internally felt myself waking up at almost the same rate. It was very distinct.

So, once I reached that point I laid there and thought, okay, now what?  So, I sat up and tried to walk. The one thing I noticed is the more I thought about what I was doing, the less realistic and successful it was. If I "just did it" without giving it so much as a thought, it was as smooth as silk.

I remember dreaming that night but I don't know if I was in control of it. The only part I know for sure that I was in control of and was well aware that I was projecting was when I sat up then stood up and walked a few steps.

Anyway, it was definitely a cool experience to actually "live" in that other world. I'm looking forward to taking it further.

Hi all.  I experienced OBE for the first time (intentionally) last night and I couldn't believe I actually did it! I hope to learn how to do it and control it at will through the good folks on this forum.
