I wanted to share an awesome experience I had last night.

I became lucid early morning. At the time I was standing in a dark abandoned warehouse. I immediately began running with excitement to leave the building and go explore, but stopped a couple of times to anchor myself by feeling the texture of the ground. Right outside the entrance there were a group of children playing in a kiddie pool. I took a big gulp of the water and they giggled.

As I surveyed the location, I realized I was in a small charming cobblestone village with lots of children running around. There were also many carriages led my horses. The children were all dressed like laborers in the industrial revolution, just like this photo:

I met up with two young boys. We we hollering at each other across the street while cars whizzed by (I suppose there were cars as well as carriages). They told me the town's name was 'Nope' and I demanded an explanation. One of the little boy's stepped out in front of one of the cars on accident and the car smashed right into him. I felt guilty, but began talking to the second child. He told me the town was somewhere in the middle of the astral and my waking world which somehow made a lot of sense to me. Then the boy who got hit by a car appeared from one of the shops undamaged.

I was heading to a carnival in the distance with a large Ferris wheel. I was shocked at how long the experience was lasting and decided to keep going with it. Before I arrived at the carnival everything went black, but I did not wake up. I was floating in black nothingness and it was so peaceful. I imagined the spinning vortex I have traveled through, it appeared and I began flying through it. Once I reached the end I either woke up or had another non-physical experience consecutively.

I just find it so amazing and rewarding when I am able to interact with the locals of the world I visit in a very vivid and aware experience.

This is not my first introduction. I still thought I would say hello to everyone. I was active quite a long time ago and have been gone for awhile. Many of you probably understand that waking life can take a toll on our dreams. I have hardly recalled anything the past year as I am focused on so many other things.  I recently created a project for college in which I attempt to regain dream recall and go further with my out of body experiences (my blog link is at the bottom). Thus far it has proven to be successful with very little effort on my part besides patience and continuing to practice awareness. I have so many questions and curiosities in my head!

Anywho, Hello to everyone. I have so much left to learn and discover and naturally was driven back to this forum as I continue my journey.

A short time ago I asked for advice on gaining awareness in the astral. Xanth gave me some advice on focusing all my energy into experiencing the astral with my five senses.

Last night I was in a dream where I was sitting on my friends' bed. Something made me aware that I was out of body. I immediately stood up and went into their dining room. I asked with intention on what I could do next to further this experience. Right then I looked towards the dining room table were a blonde guy in his early 30's was preparing tamales. He only gestured towards a plate with a large tamale on it and I knew what I needed to do. I used all of my energy in focusing my senses on this tamale. First I focused my sight, and my sight zoomed in so much it felt like I was a fly sitting on the plate for a moment. I felt the tamale and the ridges in it. Then I took a bite. I noticed the texture of the shredded beef and smoothness of the sauce. Not only that, the flavor was absolutely astonishing. It was so delicious! After that I immediately went into the living room and lied down on the carpet. I felt the carpet on my cheek and ran it through my hands. I even tasted it, lol. It was realistically carpet.

It then occurred to me how intense astral senses can be. Not only does having an orgasm lead to possibly losing awareness or going back into your body, but so does experiencing everything else. A couple of times I had to mentally ground myself because things were getting a little too intense.  It was a really cool experience.

Good morning everyone. I will give you a quick background of myself: I have been able to lucid dream ever since I can remember. In the past couple of years I have become more successful at AP. Now spontaneous OBE's occur constantly, especially if I perform the priming method of waking up early then falling back asleep. I am still not satisfied though. I have had a few very realistic experiences but most of the time I struggle with the experience.

I will make an example by my experience last night. I woke up early then waited till I was tired and drifted off, staying consciously aware I was projected in a dream-like environment. It was hard to see and I kept shouting things like "It will be light!" without many results. I did my best create a more vivid experience but nothing worked. I even made a door appear because for some reason I thought that if i opened it and stepped through things would be much more realistic. Eventually the dream took over. I was still aware I was dreaming but struggled with it. So I guess my main question is how do I gain more freewill and awareness? I wish my experiences were usually realistic. I feel like I am usually just trapped in this dream environment where nothing important or exciting happens and I am just wondering around trying to find things to do. It gets boring honestly.

Morning everyone. This morning I had a really could astral experience I wanted to share.
In the astral I was in my apartment hanging out with the family. I realized I was in the astral and willed myself to slowly start floating upward, which worked. I wanted to go outside and explore. Everything in my apartment was very different and more new. When I got to the window I couldn't get out, my head just hit glass. Instead of trying to walk through the glass I realized it didn't even have to be there. The glass disappeared and I climbed through the window. Outside was really cool looking. There were these tall stone pillars everywhere. Those and the front of my apartment building reminded me of Rome or Ancient Greece, except everything looked brand new like I was in that time period. Also, everything was surrounded by a very comforting orange glow as I believe it was turning to dusk. Everything started fading and I was worried I would have to stop this experience. Instead I remembered I needed to focus so I cupped my hands and blew in them then rubbed them together. This really helped and everything seemed more vivid afterward. I also tried flying by running and jumping, but ended up flat on my face on the ground. Instead of getting stressed or giving up I tried my first method and gradually floated upward. I traveled out into the center where there was a courtyard. There were other people walking around, ones that didn't look like regular humans. There was a man standing in the center of the courtyard and I realized by looking at him that they were centaurs. He was singing and he had a beautiful voice, and he didn't pay much attention to me but was not bothered. It turned to night time. I wanted to join him but not be disrespectful. I followed him by floating upward in a spiral towards the sky. The sky was filled with dark blues and purples and I can distinctively see all the star constellations of the astrological wheel. There was this celestial music, I believe a piano, playing in the background. The combination of the music, him singing, and the stars was very magickal feeling. He might have been speaking another language, so I don't remember what he was singing. I decided to end it there so I could remember all of it.

I am happy with myself by this experience because there were some things I have done better then in the past. Rubbing my hands together really helped me focus. Also, I have always had issues with flying and walking through things. I am not completely over that but I am finding that there are techniques to trick myself so to speak. I am still not usually able to just walk through walls but if I imagine it isn't even there it will disappear, this seems to work well. The thing I want to work on is when I have the most vivid experiences. The only times I really remember everything and felt very aware our times when I have been fatigued and end up oversleeping. This isn't ideal for me, as I would like to be able to project with normal nights of sleep. I definitely have before but I don't remember much. Thanks for letting me share!

This morning I woke up and after having a long and vivid night of dreams decide I should write them down ASAP. My son comes home from his grandmother's early and I decide I am still really tired so thought I would doze for a few while he watched his cartoons next to me. So I doze off and feel myself phasing and I find myself in the vast long tunnel. It was red, blue, and yellow and was made up of the fractals. They were all these small triangles and when I focused on them all they started to twist like I was in a portal being sucked in. So I'm flying through this tunnel and changed directions a few different times because it would span off, and at the end of my vision I see an outline of a circle and I feel like I'm being sucked in. Then I lost awareness because my son kept nudging me but it felt like I could feel myself in the bed and the tunnel at the same time. At one point I open my eyes and felt like my arm was pinned at my side but then realized my arm was bent so my head could rest on it but I couldn't feel it. So now I know what SP really feels like. I kept phasing in and out and felt like I couldn't move easily. I tried to strengthen my awareness and project myself into RTZ in my bedroom. I started seeing my bedroom around me but it slowly faded then I finally woke up. I might now have had such a vivid experience if my son hadn't kept waking me up because while I was having an OBE I remembered that I have done this so many times before in the morning but lost memory of it. Well there you go. Anyone ever experience a tunnel? I'm excited to be making progress with my awareness.

Let me just quickly say that I have remembering more and more OBE's lately. The only ones that I have had are when I am not consciously attempting an exit, instead I am drifting back into sleep and enter a dream like story line that I end up putting on hold to manifest things around me and just have fun. I would still like to put more awareness into these episodes, and so I am trying to to project consciously instead of first undergoing a lucid dream and projecting from their.

The biggest problem I face is that when I lie down and relax, and start to drift off, I completely forget what I am doing. I know I want to AP but I can't for the life of me remember any of the thousands of tips people have suggested to me. Maybe because there is so much information that I have read it is hard for me to process when my mind starts drifting off. What is a good description on how to simplify the whole thing?

I was dreaming I entered into a large tree house in a forest type area just outside of the desert landscape I live in real life. There were many people there, a few I knew but mostly didn't. I can't recall much detail but that we were all tour guides for some outdoor business. It could have been for river rafting or maybe just canyoneering. I was exploring the tree house, there were many rooms it was incredible. I also had many conversations with new people. Somewhere along the way I just knew I was dreaming and I started manifesting things around me. I tried creating people by imagining a certain face but their faces kept ending up ugly and very unattractive so I did not succeed. I was still following some sort of story line. At one point I was talking to a man who was instructing me on OBE's. He told me to remember that I needed to end this experience soon or I would not remember it in detail. A part of me knew he was right because I have heard this before but I was having way too much fun and kept going. Sure enough everything slowly faded into a blur and when I woke I couldn't remember much.

I am excited because I feel like I am making progress with my OBE's. I honestly feel like It's because I have changed my state of mind about what it is to AP. For example, I have had many dreams in the past few years that I become lucid in then try to project myself out of my body to have an OBE. This latest experience I've had I did not think in this manner. I was dreaming then somewhere along the way I realized I was asleep and started manifesting things around me instead of thinking that I still needed to free myself.

I am another one of those "I have been trying to project for years and have failed" people, except I admit that I do not practice for a long period of time without giving up for a little while. More recently this year I have remembered spontaneous OBE's while sleeping. My memory of them is foggy like dreams, though it seems more like I'm in F1. For example, I was wondering around my kitchen early one morning while sleeping, checkking a loaf of bread on top of my fridge. I was checking to see If it had mold yet and if I should throw it out. It looked perfect. Later that day in my waking state I checked the loaf of bread and it was covered in mold, that is when I remembered the OBE.

So last night I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. I tried to induce an OBE. It was hard for me to relax but finally I started getting very strong vibrations and It felt like my mind was ascending into an odd feeling. I know I was almost in the astral consciously. The vibrations were a little uncomfortable and my mental capacity felt overloaded. I ended up trying to extinguish the phasing all together and going back to sleep because I was exhausted. At this point I feel frustrated, not just because I have been trying so much but when I get close I come to this mental and physical block like the feeling when your leg is asleep and you can't stand it. I think last night I was reminded of the actual feeling is to begin to phase. Does anyone have any pointers? If I wake up in the middle of the night should I keep trying? I have tried during the day and that is near impossible. Also, is it possible that I did project last night but was a victim of the mind split and how can I overcome this?

I am curious as to whether people see the akashic records as a literal place or just somewhere inside there consciousness where they can access information. Everyone sees it a little different right? I had an experience that made sense to me, and i know we don't always see the astral realm the same.

Well anyways, i woke up early morning and it took awhile for me to go back to sleep. I planned on projecting right as i "switched over". My intent was to go to the akashic records for some answers about my life as I have been very confused about my relationships and where i am going with my education. When i felt my state change, everything was complete black and went i finally came to focus i was standing in a small simple hallway of a house. There were about five or six door ways and each had these labels and scribbles near the handle. I had to concentrate and squint really hard to read what it was. One door was labeled dreams or wishes or something. I walked in, it looked sort of like a room in my grandmother's house. There were tons of picture frames lined up of my family and friends. I was pleased about this answer.
I went into another door that was for my fate. There were these new articles about me dying, it didn't really say how. Apparently I had killed my friend and a week later was found dead. I see this more as symbolism and not literal...of course.
The third door I walked in was labeled "lies" I walked in and it was just a big mess. Blankets and pillows and random things were all upside down.  I am not a big liar,  I actually can't stand lieing, but I understood this room represented my negativity I hold on certain things.
I remember seeing another room where all of my childhood toys and things were in. I was really amused by this, it was very detailed and I remember everything I focused on being from when I was younger. The last door I went in I wanted to see the fate of my son. When I opened it there was nothing. Everything was white and clean, no furniture, just emptiness. I quickly closed this door, realizing that it was not my place and maybe impossible to look inside his consciousness.

After last night, i can count a handful of times in the past couple of years where i thought i had projected but then woke up to see it was a dream. This is how my experience specifically went last night:

The past few nights i have woken up around 5 a.m. and could not fall back asleep until 7 a.m. I usually don't do this, i think it has something to do with trying to learn to wake myself up again and attempt to project. I thought about attempting to project this time, and decided to just try to fall asleep and catch myself at the last second and attempt to leave my body. I have not had any luck projecting while in a waking state and I've attempted for quite some time now. I end up getting frustrated and going to bed. So i was laying there and i felt myself falling asleep. I then got up in the dream and thought that i had projected for the first minute. I saw my brother and he was chasing me. I gently woke up and decided it had been a dream. I drifted off again. This time i felt myself looking up at the ceiling in my astral body. I tried the rolling over technique to leave my body and even the rope technique but i felt paralyzed. Everything was blurry like i was still dreaming. I drifted off into another dream where i again got up thinking i had projected for a short time, then woke up and realized i had not.

This seems to keep happening to me, and I'm not sure how to stop it. I am have practiced lucid dreaming and am usually successful so i don't think that's the problem. I feel so close to projecting-it is frustrating.

Hello everyone, obviously i am new here  I am 20 years old and have been interested in astral travel since i was 13-when i discovered that astral projection explained that incredible experience i had when i was 6 years old. I have been into many different occult practices but most of the time am trying to get through my busy hectic life. Recently i have decided i want to try harder to set time for what has intrigued me for many years. I have felt successful in dream work but have still not been able to leave my body at will. I do believe with consistency of practice i can manifest this goal.
