Welcome to Dreams! / sweaty dreams?!?!?
April 13, 2012, 09:51:11
ive noticed over the past few nights that every time i awake to write down a dream(ive gotten to the point i slowly awake after im gonna guess almost every dream....atleast the only ones i truly recall) im sweating and not just a little but i keep my room cold with a fan and my door almost closed. ive actually had to wipe the sweat off me and turn the fan off when i write my dreams down cause the sweat and cold air makes me so cold......why would i be sweating so badly and just about everytime??

im 17 and about to start college ive always been very very good at science and math esp physics and trig so i decided in 8th grade engineer then electrical but now that i practice lucid dreaming id like to go into a profession that i can tie in my spare time hobby into my career i figure my best bet is get an associates in psychology(never wouldve believed id said that and still cant lol) but what career path could i go into to study/be some what involved in dreams?? salary does not matter id rather be poor and enjoying my job and life than doing something i truly dont want to......and im already gifted in science and math id like to brouden my field of comfort a bit well venture into studying the dreaming mind which is forever changing and not tangible like math and science such as the number 3 will always be 3 but a dream i have or u he or she has today could never happen again.....im just fascinated by dreams more than anything else and would love to spend my life devoted to them

can u help me out??

Welcome to Dreams! / can dreams blend into one??
April 12, 2012, 10:41:29
instead of explaining my dream ill just ask my question......is it possible for 2+ vivid dreams(and i mean vivid) to blend into one long less vivid dream memory??

its had to explain ive had dreams like this before ive said either fa or an obe but i really dont know......simply i get ready for bed like every night walk up stairs say good night get a bite to eat and everything then go to bed but in my dream its like i reinact not what i did before i go to bed but its like im redoing the time before i went to bed....im in the same location such as house or school (were ever i fell asleep) and i go about doing not normal things but odd dream things such as last night the earliest thing i remember is walking around our kitchen seeing a blob of purple and green goo with glitter in it and my mom is sitting in the chair she was before i went to bed then i get the idea omg my black light would look so cool with that goo i run down stairs nd get it out of my drewer and went to screw it into the fixture...i got a chair(looks like our chairs) and stood in it( had terrible balance) and when i screwed it in the bulb didnt light up but inside  the outlet were u screw it in lit up and my mom said something like its always about the light then i went down stairs put the bulb up and my window was cracked and i had the idea that i had smoked pot and i had some were i do hide mine when i hide it then the plastic insolation wrap we put over our windows in the winter (to keep out cold air...very very old house) was like attached to my tv and then to my wall and i thought uuuuumm this is odd....and the dream ended and i realized i was dreaming i was in my room i knew were i was and what position in my bed and was thinking that oh i need to write down this dream! but ...let me try to explain it was like my body was asleep but my mind was awake and all in like a matter of a second i had numerous thoughts run threw my mind and then i focused really had and i squeezed my eyes and could finally move my body and then realized id been sweating and realy bad even tho my room was freezing and my fan was on its mid setting(im guessing this was sleep paralysis)........but can someone try to explain what kinda dream this was

ive heard of people dreaming about smoking cannabis in a dream or ld feeling and waking high. well ive tried to find ways to smoke and it not affect or even help my lding but i doubt its possible(if so help me!!!!! i cant get a rebound)    well could dreaming of this affect ur dreams not in the sense you did it in a dream but could it cause like a release of endocannabinol suppressing REM sleep??

Welcome to Dreams! / is it even possible??
March 06, 2012, 12:34:26
hello im 17yrs old and practice lucid dreaming(not luicid yet but i have had 2 obe's). i do smoke pot pretty regurally i can remember dreams if i really try hard and i some times stop and work solely stop just to work on lucid dreaming. then every once in a blue moon i go all out and get tore up(by myself....i trust me alone cause i just like to sit and relax while others go crazy doin stuff) simply i took a full z bar smoked a cig took a mcds cup filled it hlf n hlf vodka  and dr pepper then when home chilled chapped with mom went to bed downed the cup scraped enough resin for 3 solid and one small hits threw in a dip and went away from his world(any1 with a humor...haha tried to move my arm and got covered in dip and spit lol cleaned it up n all) then i fell asleep like instantly.

now to the dream------imagine sitting in a pitch black room(as if you were meditating but eyes opened) then like shapes colors people objects and all sorts of stuff came into my vision(all i can say to explain it is my only dream thought was a constant....whooooooooooaaaaaah

how could this have happened benzos alc and cannabis suppress REM? maybe it was a NREM dream or something else?

Welcome to Dreams! / dream water!?!?!?!?
March 01, 2012, 09:53:32
hello i ran across a product at my local walmart....dream water..... contains 5-htp GABA and melatonin with a natural blend of relaxants and sleep aids(vague on whats in the blend...and does give amount value of the first three and only chemical it names in it)    i gave one to my mom last night and one for myself we both drank them(pineapple PM...not bad taste at all)    i fell asleep real easy(very good i have adhd and its often hard to fall asleep) and slept really light all night but recall no dream and neither did my mom but we both felt great the next mornin     me im a practiced lucid dreamer(no ld's yet but have had 3 obe's from my dreams) and my mom is slightly working on recall after she had a series of dreams about baking and she concocted a delicious cookie recipe     but still no recall    has anyone else had any dream results??    fyi any skeptics you can get free samples in the mail try to look it up try it and let me know haha:) ps roughly $3 for a 2.5oz serving(roughly cause im unsure)

February 29, 2012, 13:24:09
ive recently bought two blacklight bulbs one is just painted and the other is a true black light.....could this have any effect on my sleep/dreaming if i left it on during the night or just being exposed to it everytime im in my room(they are the only main lighting source in my room)

what are some i guess not normal methods used to increase dream vividness and recall?? i ask this cause ive come across two methods that are to me crazy. the use of a nicotine patch then another with the use of a salted bannanna(it said for its pottasium and sodium content)   are there other methods that people use besides "normal" methods(to me normal is such as dream journal valerian chamomile passionflower and other things proven by science research to aid in dreaming weither by helping you sleep or like 5-htp for a rebound)     things that have not been scientifically proven valid but proven by people who try them such as ive heard blue/green alge supplements help

Welcome to Dreams! / a little kids dreams
February 29, 2012, 13:00:17
my girlfriend's younger brother is 7 or 8 and keeps having as he calls "bad" dreams that wake him up periodically shaking in fear and all he will explain about em is its about words......what could this mean??
#12
ok ive got a few questions.....first can someone explain what is normal to see/sense when in a deep relaxed meditation state??      ive "seen" a burst of blue light in the upper right portion of my closed eye vision     and im unsure and have always been unsure of how to explain this till now      once ive gone really deep into the meditation(15 min or so from starting) i can see/sense/feel the only way to explain is waves of pulsing energy?? can someone explain this?maybe i just dont know to understand it or explain it(adhd i have problems with self reporting:/) but it seems like the energy is coming from me around me im creating it or something but its....just weird i guess but i love it! lol
#13
hello i know ive posted some drug related things in the past on various subjects but today it doesx involve cannabis but in a new way and form of discussion........i picked up smoking about 4 weeks ago again after stopping for 9 months now i decided to quite 3 days ago and well i have ADHD and its often hard to fall asleep even with valerian root and melatonin along with pre sleep meditation(did this mostly for my dreams.....greatly helped and helped me fall asleep but id feel groggy the next day for about 3 hrs and id end up sleeping more and id dream more(got pretty good with dream recall not lucidity but ive recalled 3 dreams in one night) so the groggy didnt really bother me it was worth it atleast to me but once i started smoking id fall asleep so easy at night and would wake up so refreshed feeling great.............but cannabis decreases latency and density of REM sleep so i lost nearly all recall     i tried meditation before bed(cannabis meditation is great fyi any smokers i would urge you to try this) to try and help with recall well nothing then i meditated sober and i could get slight and do i mean slight recall as in i new i dreamed and had maybe one object in a blurry memory kind like a dream about racing....but all you recall is the faint view of a car like shape        well i decided id smoked for a bit longer and do some meditation practice then drop it and work on my dream recall then more on to becoming lucid(always working on lucidity but i mean as in producing a WILD) and after a few days of cannabis meditation i realized something well let me give an explination      some people when they smoke get CEV's and yes i do but when i meditate it becomes more vivid and i end up drifting through it all and falling asleep(kinda like doing a WILD with dxm) but with no recall(if that made no sense imagine doing a WILD having no vivid recall other than the fact that you think you know you dreamed.......so with my question is it possible to smoke like every 3-5 nights to help me sleep in combo with melatonin and valerian root and not mess up my REM or would i need to take like huperzine a and choline or all of em??......id would just like a way to sleep good and have vivid dreams with recall(great recall)    so simply i need help under standing the mechanics of REM sleep then the mechanics behind the affects of the dream enhancing supplements then cannabis mechanics on sleep. so if someone with atleast a bit of knowledge on the subjects please help me

ok this is randomm but omg! every time i type something long when i hit a key it sends me to the top of my passage so wheni try to type i cant see what im typing so if someone could please see what is going on and try to fix this. its annoying enough to make me not ever wanna use this forum site. there is no reason to make a click and have no idea were you are especially when you are trying to think
#14
ok i know ive made a few drug related posts before but this one is different. simply cannabis and WILD's. ok to start off i started smoking again and found that its great for meditation, well for the main bit of my point is i know that cannabis suppresses REM sleep so its not good for dreams unless your doing an REM rebound but ok heres the deal thc and other cannabinoids like cbd all act on out cannabinoid receptor and our brain has them there for endocannabinol(our endegenous natural brain generated cannabis). the problem is if they both are cannabinoids why isnt our REM suppresses 24/7?? (maybe chemical in the brain counter acts the suppression...idk) and to add to my reasoning      over the past few nights after i smoke i turn off my tv lay back and relax and try to go to sleep still rather spaced out and i let my thoughts flow observing them and sending them away and then a certain image/scenary comes into my view(like a dream image) then its gets really intense/and i wake up jumping outta my sleep(it was like a dream that woke you up from being so intense/vivid but recalling none of it. the specific one that makes me wanna bring this up is last night. i made a vaporizer loved it the best thing ever! but i smoked and watched 30 min of family guy then 30 min of two and a half men and smoked and went to bed well i have slight recall but......just like all the other days but this time i was viewing this blurry scene and i kept concentrating and next thing you know it came at me like 3d and i instantly woke up but not in that jump up panic just i realized id woke up so i opened my eye....thus with this said is there anything you could do to stop the suppression or i guess a CILD (cannabis induced lucid dream)
#15
ok ive been doing research on drugs for dream enhancement and lucid dream help/training and ive finally came across a specific on what i was looking for. ok we all know what diphenhydramine is and its uses....well most people claim it puts em in to deep of a sleep to recall dreams well i have a solution there!!!!:)......ok i use to use dph as a mind altering substance and i could never explain the realistic hallucinations like id be sittin there tired and next thing ya know i get up turn on my tv get food and black out i had never moved or im sittin there and a doctor walks into my room and talks to me and it feels so real......just like a dream and infact dph can cause waking dreams thus with this as a tool to practice retaining awareness such as reality checks in these crazy states and trying to begin to manipulate the enviroment     think of the possiblities a lucid dream dang near on command!

i am going to try this tonight and post back later tomorrow or next day for my findings on this theory:)

is it possible to have subconscious contact in an obe?? if so does anyone have any personal experiences???
#17
hello my name is ryan. i have goal once i achieve lucidity in my dreams which is to talk to my subconscious or some form of communication. but what other ways are there to communicate with your subconscious. my personal thoughts is it would better me as a person to know and understand my subconscious because that is the true me not the person who will if needed put on a fake smile in a bad mood or will tell a lie to cover up a bad quality about my self i feel i could learn so much! so could some one help me??

February 01, 2012, 11:45:30

Welcome to Magic! / curious needing answers
February 01, 2012, 11:14:34
hello my name is ryan i am 17 ive never used this part of the forum and would like to know proof behind magic(if there is any) im just very skeptic on things until i learn about them.     the only thing ive read on spells was a dream recall spell and it simply was drink chamomile tea and chant this spell about you will recall your dreams three times before bed.......sounds like a load of bs to me more or less mental imprenting(telling your self to do something so you will)

thanks for the help:)

im thinking of making st johns wort, catnip, chamomile and melatonin tea as a drink for before bed. does anyone agree this would be good??.....then after that i wanna make wild lettuce, kava kava, and kratom tea(dry wild lettuce, broken up kava kava root, and 15x kratom extract) does this seem promising or should i mix the to together a bit for more variety? thank you:):)

hello my name is ryan im 17 and have ADHD and it tends to affect my sleep so i take melatonin and practice meditation. my sleeping has gotten alot better(9+mg a nite) and my recall is becoming a daily accurance(even several recalls in one night). now for people who know know ADHD im very hyper jittery lose focus EASY my mind is constantly racing(example i talk in my head to myself 24/7....forever thinking) but the common medication for ADHD is stimulants such as ritalin or vyvanse but unlike others stimulants mellow me out calm me down ive even thrown a dip in and it made me sleepy(same with cigs) but to my point ive been reading caffeine and dream interaction so would it be safe to say i could consume caffeine to help my dreaming??

Welcome to Dreams! / kava kava + kratom......
January 31, 2012, 11:18:23
since being physically and mentally relaxed is a key part of a WILD would it be safe to say one could use kava kava and or kratom before bed to help induce a lucid dream??
#23
in my past post about terence mckennas time wave zero program and novelty theory i didnt get as many responses as id hoped for. thus id like to know who all knows of this theory.....better yet who would agree that it might happen(or atleast want it to happen)
#24
im unsure of were to take this so  i hope it is the proper place.

simply i started meditating few months back and its been useful with dream recall and helping me relax and sleep but a few weeks ago i had a bright! bluish flash in the upper right corner of my closed eyes it freaked me out i had no idea tht could happen. i googled it and all i found was a burst of energy from a sub energy level we normal do not observe.
if you have an answer id love to know it!

Welcome to Dreams! / moods and dreams
January 31, 2012, 09:28:53
im starting to think mood will affect your ability to recall dream does anyone have any information or insite on this?? it appears i only recall when im in a good relaxed tense free mood.(with or with out certain recall methods)
#26
ive noticed a key aspect to projection methods is key relaxatin and clear mind. with this said ive done alot! of research and study on dreams and lucid dreaming and a tek i found for producing a WILD is waking up at night so your halfway in the dream state and fully physically relaxed and mostly mentally relaxed. ok now for the meat of my point couldnt you try to do this with projecting?   set an alarm and wake up or would this just induce a ld instead of astral projection?
#27
in the dream forum i asked about a strange false awakening i had....simply had a dream(at the place i fell asleep at) woke up(seemed like false awakening) then got hard to concentrate blurry and sleepy blacked out reawoke(false awakening ^^^^^^^^) same thing happened(entire time i was intereacting and then wrote my first dream down from memory) then i finally woke up for real and wasnt sure if it was reality or not for a little bit but id called it a false awakening but the only response claimed to be a chain?? a type of obe i guess??
#28
as i am 17 i live with my parents mother and step father and have been all my life pushed into the church of christ(forcing me to lead singing lead prayers....basically forces me into baptism by fear)and i really feel well terrible cause interiorly i dont have the spiritual connection or faith as them or our church members and ive tried to figure out the proper faith for me but all in all there is to much dedication and iffy things behind it such as christianity having many branches. then there is the science aspect(which i always look at) that disproves religion(maybe my sceince aspected thoughts is my reason for non spirituality) thus is it safe to just accept the fact that i have no spirituality to speak of?

Welcome to Dreams! / dream crystals
January 30, 2012, 14:19:30
ive found stuff online about dream enhancing crystals (such as chakra crystals) is there anyone who could elaborate on these?? ill take any bit of info to improve my dream abilities and will try to utilize any method or idea im just kinda lost on this. due to lack of explinations on how to use properly and how they are effective or stories of there effectiveness.
#30
does anyone have any experience with supplements(like melatonin) that enhanced ur dream recall lucidity or vividness of a dream?? i do have experience with melatonin but feel free to tell me your experience(prob differ from mine i take 9+ mg with no night terror side effects as some reports claim). even food or drinks would be helpful:)

Welcome to Dreams! / drug and dream interaction??
January 30, 2012, 10:01:08
very simple question. how to drugs affect your dreaming?? such as cannabis(always had happy dreams after use) or psychedelics??(heard in the long run can impare dreaming and lucidity...but in short will amplify) others i do not care about and this question does not pertain to such substances as cocaine herion or meth and anyother assortment of hard drugs just cannabis and psychedelics.
#33
in short what does it mean to have alot of dreams about indians or like an ancient civilization like interacting with them. such as talking to a village shaman, watching a ritual or stopping the sacrifiction of a young girl?? they just keep reappearing over the past few months

hello i am ryan a 17 yr old high school senior. i first would like to say i rather like this forum site better than any other the people here keep a more open mind then others such as dmt nexus my post about time wave zero under the 2012 section i posted there and since that i am now unable to make new topics bacause i posted a "fringe" theory and there is no 100% fact conclusive evidence to support it and they only involve themseles in the known truth.

now to my point im very interested in lucid dreaming and psychonautics thus what thing plays a big role as a tool for these things? why psychedelics more notibly entheogens i propose we try make a poll and see who would be interested in having an entheogen forum topic(for explanatory purposes and for the benefit of curious minds...to aid in knowledge and to prevent possible self injury)

if you agree with me post a comment and lets see who we can get to come along with this idea and see were we can take it:):)

kind regards, ryan:)

Welcome to Dreams! / strange false awakening
January 27, 2012, 13:05:28
hello my name is ryan im 17yrs old. i recently had a strange dream happen.simply(i dont wish to tell my dream description they are mine and who i share them with if i choose to is my business)i had a normal average dream then it blacked out like i woke up well i woke up was exactly how i was when i fell asleep and started to write in my dream journal and was recalling my dream from my memory and even had mental images of the dream then i started to lose focus and things started to blurr and kinda spin as if i was really tired and disoriented and blacked out again then woke up in the same position as before got up talked for a second then got some food and ate and presumes the exact same task as before and the spinning tired sensation came again.      my general question is is it common to have a double false awakening?? and in the middle of the day and only after 30-45 min of sleep?? and why did i start to feel the tired spinning sensation? and finally how come i could recollect my first dream just as i was conscious, because i was not lucid by any means i was convinced it was reality cause when i finally woke up i was afraid it was gonna happen again.

hello my name is ryan a 17 yr old hs senior. i have a profound interest in dreams, psychedelics(not tried any....yet;p) and am greatly interested in psychonautics. ok to begin:)

as we"ve all heard that the maya calendar ends on its 13.0.0.0.0 (2012 winter solstice) and some even believe this means the end of the world well me i dont believe this yes i believe the world as we know it will not excist hince as WE know it. which brings me to time wave zero and terence mkcenna ....a great great man who loved in general the same things as me went on a huge p. cubensis trip and talked to diety beings he called the logos who told him the I ching (the book of change) was actually a book of time (hince time is a change.....{well for yall out there who are into theoretical physics so am i and i follow many beliefs that time does not excist but try to keep an open mind...just helps make better sense to think of time when talking about something related to it)) he then took this and with a few other scientist complied he time wave zero program that calculated everything since the big bang and it always ended on 13.0.0.0.0(very odd how it has correlation to the maya:)) and that there are two time periods habit and novelty and in which habit time man does not advance very much but in novelty time man expands vastly...which also sounds like the murger of shiva and shakti(the kundalini experience which brings great spiritual enlightenment)(buddist).....incan predictin of 2012  when the under world and over world merge into everyday life   and then the maoi sky and earth gods of the maya descend into the world (funny they all sound similar in ther own way)    simply im not trying to teach anything here(if something i state is false state proof plz and  have at explaining my miss doings) but bring to attention the strangeness that all these ancienct civilizatins had similar prediction and they all used entheogens(maya we have no real proof but have hunches like b. alvarius or psilocybes ) but they all are derivitives (i think thats a good word to use sorry if its wrong) of dmt aka the spiritual molecules and discuss beliefs of ppl and information and research ppl have found.

kind regards<  ryan:)
