Welcome to Dreams! / My partner dies/is killed
November 20, 2007, 17:40:02
Hi, I'm looking for some meaning for this dream. Mostly I'm looking for "she won't really die" lol, but I guess I'm really looking for honesty so tell me what you think.

The dream is fragmented, I have trouble remembering everything. The biggest point I remember is that she has a large eye wound in her left eye, as if she had been shot or stabbed in the eye. I don't really recall how or when I saw her, or if she had been murdered, but I remember a blank expression on her face like nothing had scared her. Also unsettling is that the dream seems somehow familiar, I dont remember having it before, but it did seem familiar for some reason. It was very realistic, I remember being very relieved when I woke up!

There was also a scene that seemed to repeat several times, like as if I was looking around a corner or into a room, and I think a bathrobe or curtain or piece of clothing was hanging just in view around the corner. I hope if I ever see this scene I can recognise it and get the hell out lol!

After she had died there was also a strange situation where me and a couple of friends were in the kitchen or bathroom and a celebrity from tv had sort of materialised, (yeah I think the dream was sorta getting wierd here) we were all very relieved to see him, but then he dematerialised and we were unhappy...wierd. I dont know if this has much to do with anything...

Please tell me what you think.
Cheers

Straight from my dream journal:

"Driving in a secluded wooded area, not suburbia. Came down a lengthy driveway to a house and went inside, was with 2 other people, my friends? We were looking for something, I have a feeling we were trying to steal something or find something specific, as I recall seeing big tv's and hi fi systems yet we didn't really take any notice of them. We were about to leave having found nothing when someone noticed a loose corner piece in the roof and pulled on it. Heaps of dirt or rubbish fell out along with a massive (head sized) golden egg. It was like a rock shaped egg, not gold all over but more veined/speckled. We took it and left the house very exited and overjoyed but soon after it lost the golden sheen and it was nothing more than a piece of garbage stone with no gold visible at all. The dream ends around that point."

Does anyone have any ideas of what this could mean? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Hello,
Thought Id tell people about my latest experience, and would love to hear feedback if possible. Ive hardly been doing any active meditation or energy work lately, but I always do just before I go to sleep (yes I know, probably a bad thing)
So to get to the point, last night I was lying in bed, doing my usual meditation/clear mind exercise and to my surprise I first saw a series of shards of random images, which then turned into a single moving image which I can barely recall, but I think was of myself looking down kicking a soccer ball around. The image was vignetted around the edges (darker) and the whole thing was tinted green which I found odd. Ive never heard about anything like that... Unless it was the green grass that made me think it was tinted but i don't think so. It was also strange in that the image was jittery, like a video which was advancing frame by frame. I willed it to be smoother and it did, and then eventually disappeared. At one point I half opened my eyes which Ive done before during these sort of experiences but that didn't affect it. I kinda like that I do that, because it proves its not a dream!
Almost forgot it had happened until the next day too which wouldn't have been good at all! I guess because I was so close to the sleep border it made it hard to remember.
Does this sound sort of like phasing? For some reason I didn't think to move into it, I might have been scared of breaking the state... Or maybe I was too preoccupied by the slo mo nature of it...
Would love to hear peoples thoughts.
Regards,
JAW

Hi,
Ive been getting the dreaded RLS quite a lot more lately whilst getting into trance or during meditation, and was wondering if anyone else was finding the same thing? I know it brought this on before but I put it down to coincidence more than anything else, but have just been getting it consistently for the last few weeks or longer.

Makes it even worse since I try and do trance/meditation before going to sleep, then I cant sleep as I have RLS...argh!

Ive read up a lot on the syndrome but nothing helps, just wondering if anyone else gets it whilst meditating/trance/energy work?

Cheers.

Hi, not sure if this is the right place to post, but Ive got a number of things Id love to discuss and would like to hear peoples suggestions/advice.

I'm mid 20's now and find myself increasingly frustrated and stressed out due to my own expectations of people, what they should be doing, or how they should be, and I get very riled up when things aren't the way they're supposed to be. I think I'm fairly smart, plus sensitive to this sort of thing, so if anything isn't quite right it gets to me. What I'm talking about precisely is anything from repeated late replies to emails/sms, people saying they will do something and not, saying it will be done by x time and its not, people not listening/being rude, getting treated one way when you expect better from friends or family, and so on. Now and again I might be paranoid but most of this stuff is definitely not being over the top, you'll just have to trust me in this discussion. However I guess this is a fairly large point, in that I think to most people, this stuff seems normal and doesn't bother them...?

Id love to hear peoples advice here - am I expecting too much? If so how/should I lower my expectations or just get away from those people/situations?

Have you got any advice on how to let this stuff go over my head/not affect me as much?

I know its horrible but at the moment Id almost say Ive never met anyone outside my own family who I could say I like, respect and trust with all of the above. But its so true. I'm not saying I'm a saint, I just try my hardest but it seems 99.9% of people don't.

Anyone have any books or links they think would help?

Frustrated,
JAW

Hi,
Im currently at a bit of a crossroads career wise and have so many options available to me that Im not sure which way to go. I dont know anyone else that can really help me so it looks like Im almost on my own... Can anyone suggest any methods or techniques they use whilst in meditation where you focus on a subject or train of thought in order to try and gain better clarity on issues and try to better find the "correct"/"right" way to go?
Im reasonably experienced with meditation/entering trance, but Ive only really used it up until now to try out phasing/obe techniques.
Would be very grateful for any help.
Regards.

Ok quick background - still no OBE, but can reach almost 100% body asleep/mind awake, can get hypnogogics and some images going, rarely sounds and 1 landmark "vision" so far...

Im not sure how important it even is to try and tell these two sensations apart, but if vibrations means near exit and tingles are bad (?) then I think it is important.

So Im currently getting pretty full on, whole body tingles/vibrations (?) during meditation/breathe work, usually when Ive reached some level of body asleep. However when I read about vibrations it sounds like they continue for at least 15-30 seconds whereas I usually get it in waves which quickly dissapear. The tingle feeling whilst in body asleep state is quite full on, but I want to know if its me getting excited and generating "tingles" or if theyre vibrations. If theyre tingles, should I try and stop them by trying to remain calm/emotionless? If theyre vibrations why havent i projected yet lol!

Any feedback, ideas, etc are very welcome.
Cheers,
JAW

Hi,
A friend forwarded these sites to me. Very interesting read re technology, moores laws, the "singularity" event that supposedly will occur in relation to technology, AI, intelligence, etc and related topics such as the meaning of life, goals and so on. Very, very interesting.

PASS IT ON!

Visit http://www.thehungersite.com to give food to the hungry with just a click -- every day and at no cost to you.

HOW IT WORKS

When you click the "Give Free Food" button (once a day per person) at http://www.thehungersite.com, this simple action gives over a cup of fortified food to a hungry person.

It costs you nothing. Funding is paid by site sponsors and food is distributed by two leading nonprofit hunger relief organizations: Mercy Corps and America's Second Harvest.

The number of people who click each day determines the amount of food that goes to the hungry, so please forward this message along.

WHY CLICK?

There is enough food in the world for every man, woman and child. Yet an estimated one billion of the world's people live in poverty and face chronic hunger. 24,000 die daily. 75% of them are children under age five.

A "click to give" costs nothing but a few seconds of your time, and gives help and hope to a person in desperate need.

I suggest that

A)   When the imagery stops you are successfully separated, so try rolling or moving and see if you are out
B)   When the imagery stops you have reached a DEEPER level that has no imagery, like one of the void areas
C)   You are focusing on the imagery too early. Just when they first start don't focus on them, just let them go until they build strength. Then you can focus on them with impunity.

The only way to get by all of the speed/buzzing/distractions is to simply accept it an not get excited.  So I hear.  Haha.  The most success I've had is when you let it all slip by and don't get sidetracked or drawn in by any of the process.  Keep your eyes towards the goal and don't let anthing get in yoru way.

Be well,
J

Hi again jaw,

Well last night I laid on my back whilst trying to sleep and sure enough the hypnogogic came yet again.  This time though I went into a light to medium trance on purpose whilst the hypnogogic imagery was playing and I heard two nosies like voices but they were very quiet indeed, I couldn't quite make out what it was, I only heard it once and it sounded like it came from the left of me.

Anyway what I generally see are people, in everyday situations like sitting, walking, talking to other people.  These are very brief images though and they are moving images not still like photographs.

I'm convined it's the dream mind, or your subconcious playing images onto your concious mind.  Which you don't usually notice whilst not in this relaxed state.  Who knows?

Take care

Hiya JAW!

Wow, I have exactly the same experience when I lay on my back and relax sort of trying to sleep.  I can usually never get to sleep on my back, it has to be my front.

If I lay on my back though and try to sleep, around 5 minutes later I get the hypnogogic images.  They are like brief flashes of dream imagery.  It feels as if I fall asleep for literally 30 seconds and then wake up.  The images dissapear then.  Then when I close my eyes again and act like im trying to sleep it happens again, over and over.  I have tried to control these images to be whatever I choose with various results.  Mostly visions come of the same type I imagine but not exactly what I wanted.

Very peculiar thing indeed and I have no idea what it is or why it occurs.  I never get any projection related symptoms (eg, vibrations, floatiness) with it though.

I wonder if anybody else has experienced this.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Yes JAW, YOU are the one millionth person who has wandered onto this forum confusing objective reality with belief and spirituality for parapsychology!  Therefore, YOU win the grand prize !! an all expense paid lifetime of confusion and bewilderment!

Keep up the good work, and you could win the bonus prizes of cynicism and apathy!  Just don't commit to anything, especially the validity of your own feelings and psyche, and you will do just fine.  [:)]

Yes it is just a matter of moving your awareness to the place and holding it there and voila, your energy begins flowing in that particular place.

This is similar to what I experience.  It makes me nervous that my heart feels like it is going to explode.

Hi, JAW
this is a very interesting question. I have restless legs too, I never knew it was a medical condition until now. It was much worse when I was younger, I have since made lifestyle changes that have alleviated the condition. I think that there is definately a connection with the condition of your energy body, but whether it indicates a blockage or excessive energy flow I am not sure. Thanks for the link!
